#comparing and contrasting how a party sees eachother

Yknow I just realized that none of the shapeshifters spawned by Senshi lasted until the final round, which makes sense since he's known the group for the shortest amount of time

Connections, parallels, contrasts and Patterns in Miraculous Ladybug.

The thought I have decided to chew on today is that miraculous ladybug doesn't give alot of characters time to shine and develope on the surface....alot of characters deal with a lack of screen time and even when characters do get screen time they can seem to contradic or repeat aspects we already know.

But I was thinking about a essay I had written a while back about color theroy and how it can be used to get across information or a idea very quickly...having the audience fill in the blanks. It had been about Barbie and the 12 dancing princesses and how with so many characters most of them didn't really have a way to stand out much especially with the limited animation and not having much screen time....heck even the basics of their personalities don't get shown that often....but I had noticed that the colors each princesses had was a slight shorthand for what we shoukd associate with them.

The two sporty sisters seemed to have green and brown fir nature for example from what i remember. The bookish older one wore a darker blue which showed she was more mature and intelligent ect ect. I probably posted it on here somewhere and forgot about it but you get the gist. Rather than just color theroy it made me think about how despite the little screen time they trued to get across personality of aspects of what each girl was like and what she wasn't like with the colors each girl wore that helped echo their gimmick. And hkw that helped give a boost to maje them more individual despite it nkt actually giving them more scenes to flesh them out...and how contrasting them with eachother had those minimal scenes of personality stick out better.

My point isn't really about color theory right now, so much as how little things are comparing them to others can help develop characters with limited screen time. What do the similarities tell us? What do the contrasts? What dpes this dynamic that has parallels with another dynamic say? Ect ect.

So I've decided to try to list of comparisons and contrasts and what it might be trying to tell us about characters, dynamics and themes through the show since we might have alot of episodes but because everything can seem a bit....stagnant? Repetitive? I feel like maybe I can gleen more info from the patterns that repeat.

If anyone has others add them in the notes or add it in a reblog and what you think it might mean or say about other characters or themes.

Has anyone ever noticed that the bubbler episode could feel like symbolism with Gabriel and Emilie? Bubbler is Nino who had wanted to throw adrien a party abd tried to ask reasonably but was kicked out....Nino had felt it wss unfair and despite his sincere intentions to throw Adrien a party....Nino agreed to the hawkmkth powers due to his negative emotions clouding his judgment to get wgat he wanted(something reasonable for someone he cares about who has low exoectations) where he trapped everyone who was a adult in bubbles and made people go to a party nino set up...a party that Adrien DID want yet had expected would be denied from the begining and he had told Nino not to try. Metaphorically Gabriel being bubbler who thinks its unfair that Emilie doesn't get to live so tries to solve it but gets his intentions twisted by the power where he doesn't see he is getting innocents involved and that Emilie might have wanted to live but didn't want others stuck in this situation...like all the akuma attacks or the world destroyed and recreated with her being okay....just saying tge adults trapped in bubbles while the kids are stuck in a party and nino thinking it was fir the best....just saying after seeing Emilie parents....especually the dad....it kind of feels like something.

Rose and her sickness where the only one who knew was Julieta where Julieta had to keep it a secert becayse rose didn't want people to treat her differently or pity her and how it ate awary at Julieka thinking her best friend(potential girlfriend?) might due ir faje a turn fir the worst and how Julia had fekt comfortable when adrien and mari listened even if mari getting others involved to help was a blessing and a curse since shevdidnt Havertown deal with it alone anymore....but they honestly couldn't act natural around rose so rose got upset and Julieta felt guilty.

And how technically adrien's mom got sick from the use of the peacock and it was technically kept quiet about. No one outside of the family knew and no one officially talked to adrien about it. They tried to hide the sickness from adrien. So adrien had to deal with what he suspected by himself unable to bring it up to anyone.....but another angle is Gabriel tried to fix the situation by himself as the guardians weren't around to ask for help and felt helpless to help Emilie just as Julieka felt helpless when it came to rose and how there was nothing julieka could do about it. And how rose just didn't want to mane a big deal about it and ve treated like glass...but by trying go make juljeka keept it a secert that unintentionally put alot of pressure on julieka to pretend like things are fine while they are not. And I am nlt jyst saying that finding out gabriel had a punk phase during his youth. Majes you wonder if a slightly similar situation was happening with the mom. She wanted to enjoy what time she has left but that pit pressure on gabriel to be fine even thoigh he just wanted Emilie to be healthy. But could also echo nathalie.

There are strong parallels between marinette and nino and alya and adrien that don't get brought up alot. Nino when he first had a crush on mari he hid, stumbled over his words, back tracked and would blurt out stuff or even the opposite of what he means due to his nerves just like Marinette does with her crush on adrien. He actually went to adrien for advice even though adrien was homeschooling abd whose only friend was chloe and adrien did have solid advice about just talking to mari and being yourself just as alya would advise mari to just talk to adrien and be herself.

Both Aliya and Adrien tried to wingman their bestues into a zoo hang out and were talking to the ither through a ear piece while hiding in bushes as support and feeding the other lines even though mari and nino would self sabotage out of stress. Nino strait up said he liked alya to nari despite mari being his crush and just needing to repeat what adrien says just like mari would often sabotage herself around adrien despite Alta and the girls setting to stage. Alya said she viewed nino as just a friend just like adrirn calls mari a friend and yet ended up dating nino by the end of the episode just as adrien is now dating mari. Nino lied about liking alya at first just like mari said she liked chat in weredad. Both mari and nino come up with plans with code names. Mari had flower code names for operation flower garden while nino had sauce code names. Both mari and nino are creative as he has his music abd mari has her fashion/art. Not to mention nino sensed or was out of character for adrien to send that message when feljx first appeared just like mari senses it while Alya wanted to go full punishment mode kind of like how adrien reacted to finding out Kim had traumatized mari.

Both nino and mari came up with elaborate sneaking around costumes and jump to conclusions based on circumstantial evidence and get really jealous and let that color their view(looking at you rockatear) and ignored advice depending on circumstances. Mari gets jealous more often but both nino and mari jump to conclusions abd worry someone cooler can appear and mkst impprtsntly...bkth are usually wrong about the assumption of whats happening.

Nino became a hero to help alya...not neesacarily because he wanted to be a hero just as mari was reluctant to be a hero but was inspired by alya being in danger(mari was also inspired seeing akya stand up to chloe just as nino admired that adrien stood up to chloe during the gum incident as soon as he understood what chloe was doing despite chloe being his only friend). I know people often see alya as the ladybug and nino as the chat noir(especially after alya became scarabella and I think plagg mentioned wanting to choose nino as a backup) and since alga is mari's best friend while nino is adrien's best friend.....but I think there is something to be said with how nino is more similar to marinette and alya is similar to adrien.

Both adrien and alya are excited to be super heros from the get-go. Excited to come up with names and had transformation poses at the ready from the beginning. Both alya and adrien call out chloe immediately in the origin episode. It took both alya and chat to encourage mari fkr her to cone back out as ladybug. Bkth chat abd alya know how to flirt and be confudent about it. Both were interested in ladybugs identity. Both are besties with marinette. Bkth encourage mari. Both are fairly straitfirward about their romantic feelings. Both have sarcastic kwamis. Both asrien and alya are emotional support fkr marinette/ladybug. The few times chat abd alya get to interact they have fun banter and blth have to deal with their respective best friends jumping yo conclusions and brushing past their advice. Both can be a bit reckless with themselves and are pretty confident in themselves most of the time. Both have figured out nari's identity and in that vein akya figured out nino just as adrien has figured out mari before. Abd when akha faltered and got too ahead kf herself in scarabella he was a great support to alya as chat so she would have faith in herself again while alya woukd vouch for mari to talk to chat or adrien when akya gekt there was something bothering chat or most recently about the secerts mari has been keeping about his dad.

Alya and adrien also both almost fell fir the chloe is ladybug lie and are the new kids in the class.

Julieka is more pessimistic with black hair like mari while rose is positive and blonde like adrien. Rose as Pigella had pigtails like mari while Julieka is the tiger like chat(plus wants to be a model). Plus had dad issues like adrien with a slightly complicated family dynamic with a mom, a dad and the dad's girlfriend who is a assistant could is you squint abd turn you head remind you of Emilie, gabriel and nathalie.

The mom being jagged original guitar player in the band and him avoiding facing his kids til luka as truth popped that bubble becahse he hates hard talks involving himself...would make you think how chat is ladybugs original partner who keeps being left behind or in most cases leaves ladybug hinself when ge thinks he isnt being treated properly(siren, catwalker) or when he thinks she can do better(new york special, catwalker). But also how the mom kept the information about the dad from julieka and luka for years like how gabriel js keeping info.

El went from wanting to leave the cabin in s2 to see her friends and learn about the world. And in s2 saying “friends dont’ lie”. To hey -let’s have El  ignore her friends for 6 months, never leave the cabin like how she used to want to in s2 -and instead makeout with Mike there. And let’s have Lucas mention her “lying” to her friends specifically so she can ditch her friends to makeout  with Mike in the cabin-instead of being in the outside world. To show with Mike-she goes against her own principles and regresses as a character. Aka -reversing all her s2 character progression we previously saw.

El (while dating Mike): How do I know what I like? (something she should know before dating) Max: Find something that feels like you -not Hopper . Not Mike. you

El: what’s that? (wonderwoman comic). Max: see this is why you shouldn’t hang with just Mike all the time

El saying to mike "what if he (hopper) is right " . (about them spending too much time together)

EVERYONE ABOUT M*lEVEN in s3: Lucas: mocking Mike “oh El, I wish we could makeout forever and never hang out with our friends.”Will to Mike : “you’re ruining our party ... to swap spit ...with some ...girl.” Dustin : “it’s bullshit” (like stancy).  Hopper: “it’s unhealthy!” Max to  Mike “This is exactly why she dumped your ass! she’s not yours she’s her own person.”  Max to Nancy: “El has saved the world twice-and Mike still doesn’t trust her.”

El laughs and highfives Max after dumping Mike and drools over celeb boys right after dumping him. And it’s directly contrasted to Will being devastated by his fight with Mike. Flo “Only LOVE makes you crazy and that damn stupid”. El to Mike’s romantic confession in s3: “what makes you crazy?”. El and Max about Mike in s3 “ more to life than stupid boys”. convos in s3 where Max/Will complain about m*leven -  have Mike and Nancy say “ El’s not stupid”. Aka she doesn’t love Mike romantically.

Us saying she needs to find herself first before dating- doesn’t have to do with her ‘tr*uma’. So it’s not hypocritical to ship byler -when Will has tr*uma too.  it’s cause unlike byler- m*leven is very bad for el’s character growth and she (unlike Will) is overly reliant on Mike in an unhealthy manner. And unlike Will- El knows very little of the outside world, has little interactions with others, and doesn’t even know her own likes before dating him. AND CLEARLY DOESN’T (romantically) love Mike. They parallel her and Mike to siblings , cousins, and even parallel hopper/el to m*leven.

Mike kissed El after her literally being in the outside world for 4 days -right before the kiss she asked if he’d be her brother/ and a day before that she just learned the meaning of a " friend". But you expect the girl who just learned about the concept of friend- knows distinctions between different forms of love (since s1) ? Get real. After the kiss, then for a year, she watched toxic soap operas where she mimicked the woman in the show. It was about 2 characters named erica & Mike Roy (who had a rushed relationship - where they broke up and after the breakup 1 of them stalked the other). Sound familiar? She projected Mike roy/this romantic fantasy on to Mike W ,and then mimicking the girl in the soap, and dated Mike wheeler . It’s similar to how in s2, as El watched the tv with Mike roy... karen reads in s2/3 books with a billy look alike on the cover. It’s wasn’t love- both gals were just projecting false fictional qualities on to Mike/Billy (based on the media they consumed). M*leven were compared to cousins/siblings and knew eachother for  a week -and then had a rushed kiss,after being separated they both projected this false romantic idea of the other on to eachother, and than right after reuiniting-they made out for 6months , neglected their friends, and had an unhealthy emotional relationship with no real trust/nor respecting the other’s privacy. In s1 el is said to be like mike' s sis /cousin , in s2 they parallel them to kali/el, hopper/el, and luke/ leia. And had many parallels of Hopper and mike- in regards to El in s3. That’s it.

Mike literally dressed like his parents in s3 while dating El- to show he was just emulating that romantically loveless dynamic. 

I care about El so I don’t ship m*lven. it’s not me “pretending” to care about El- and "being hypocritical cause I ship byler"-rolls eyes. Also, claiming others "aren’t feminists" if we don’t ship M*lven- really?! XD

Just ship what you want-without coming in to the byler tag to accuse shippers and name call. And it’s not a “weak /weird argument” to say El should find herself before dating, it’s literally in the text in the show.

All the sides were wearing black.

They just got home from a very sad event that day, no one wanted to say the title out loud because they couldn't accept that he was gone. Rain hit the mindscape windows, similarly, tears were streaming down all of their faces.

After the event, all the sides went to their rooms. All except a certain dark blue side.

Logan was on the couch. Black suit being crumpled by the lax sitting position. In his shaking hands was held a letter. Everyone had at least one letter. Logan had the most with five letters. Each one had a number.

Logan grabbed the letter labeled #1

It was of medium size. White envelope contrasting with the red wax used to seal it. The only thing that marked that it was for him was the blue ink used to mark his name.

Trying not to tear the paper. Logan opened the letter and started to read.

Dear Logan,

I guess if you're reading this I'm gone. To that fact, I'm truly sorry. I wish I could be there. But this is for the best.

I suppose you know what happened to the dark side by now. If you don't well.... Its gone. Wrath, Apathy and Depression were just getting too powerful, it didn't matter how much I hid them away they still got to Thomas... and I can't have them destroying Thomas's life. I need to do my job, even if it kills me. I really did enjoy your company! I hope you know that.

Often times the only thing that could get me out of the bed in the morning was being able to see your face. Or being able to debate with you. Or seeing you talk about space for hours! God Logan, I could go on for hours about how you made my horrid life better. You were my best friend.

These letters are going to be written over a period of time. I don't think I have it in me to say goodbye to the 5 people who made my life tolerable all at once. I'm going to be writing one letter a day. Till tomorrow Logan?

Logan let out a steady breath. He refused to cry over the first letter. He debated over reading all of the letters at once but.... Janus said tomorrow... He'll read letter #2 the following day.

The next morning was just as somber. Logan sat on his bed and gripped the second letter.

This one was the same size, but the envelope was a light baby blue. The seal black. Logan opened it with just as much care as before.

Another day, another migraine? I get it... Not the time for jokes. I just finished writing Roman's second letter. I always felt so bad for everything involving Roman.

I manipulated him, I told him lies, I compared him to his brother. Kinda makes me deserve this I have a feeling he might try something. Snake instincts. Watch him for me, please? You five need to be a family, I've witnessed what happens to sides to end up hating eachother. Its not pretty. You don't want that Logan.

I guess that is what makes me have to do this. If we only acted like a family I wouldn't have to do this. I wouldn't have to do a lot of things if the darks weren't pricks.

The stupid thing is that I know you would try to talk me out of this plan. And you're right. God you're always right. Why do you have to be right all the time? I wish I was right all the time. But its ok. I'll be the side who hides the truth.

Logan gulped in another breath. He could read that crossed out section... Janus was right. They have to be there for eachother.

Why don't they go watch Janus' favourite movies? That sounds like a fun way to remember someone. Logan got the others.

It was just passed midnight. Everyone else was asleep on the couch as Coraline played on the TV. Logan stared at the third letter. It was technically the next day.... Logan grabbed the letter.

This letters envelope was a burnt tan colour. Yellow wax acted as the seal.

I never wanted to be hugged so much then I do right now. I have to barricade my door to prevent Wrath from getting inside, he's always been a loud side.

I remember when I was nothing but a child -Virgil is ten years older then me. Did you know that? I forget that sometimes- I always had blond hair. I know that you and the other lights also have lighter coloured hair. Well anyway. Wrath hates my hair, says that I don't belong. I can also only do that little silencing trick when I'm on your side of the mind. And I can only automatically heal when on the light side too. Huh. I never released how long that list was. Maybe I'm just defective... That has to be it... Right?

I always looked up to you. You could tell people how it was and not cower when things go wrong. You truly are amazing Logan. You need to show the others that. I know that the others love and care for you. You need to accept that love logan! Please. Don't fall into a similar pit of despair I fell into so long ago. I never escaped that pit. Don't fall in it too.

I know how you like to cope Logan. You seek familiar things that remind you of that person. Thats why I did something for you. Under your bed is my all time favourite book, Good Omens, My favourite snacks and an USB with my playlist on it. I hope you love them as much as I did Logan. I'll write to you tomorrow.

Janus wasn't lying when he found the little care package. Logan wasn't crying. Absolutely not! Patton was cooking with onions. Logan never released how much he loved chocolate covered pretzels and jazz until that moment.

The next day Logan didn't even bother to get dressed. He just grabbed the next letter. A soft pastel yellow with a blue seal. Logan tore it open, eger to read what the yellow side wrote next.

Dear Bluebell,

Kinda weird calling you that. But I guess I won't be alive long enough to see your negative reaction. Bluebells were always my favourite flower. Would it be rude to keep calling you bluebell? Well, I guess it's a little too late for that.

It just came to my attention that by this time tomorrow I'm going to be...Gone. I made the poison that would get rid of them. My venom is one of the only things that can kill a side. Would be a bit ironic dying from my own venom huh? Well, I might as well tell you my plan.

Do you remember that party you and the others snuck into? The masquerade? We're having another party tomorrow. And it was always my job to serve the wine. We can't have the others being suspicious to why I didn't drink my wine. They will be dead in less then ten minutes. My venom is painful. But it'll kill them. I'll kill them 10x over, I'm not looking forward to five minutes in where the venom shuts down your lungs.

Anyway, I'm a side known for plans right? Not always the best plans but it counts. I still remember debating with you as Patton. Maybe... Maybe I could sneak over today? Pathetic last wish, but I would love to have a hug and a movie. I'm going to head over to your side soon.

Bluebell Logan when I'm gone. I need you to do something for me. Don't let them forget me...Please. That is all I want. I don't want my body to be left inside of that empty house. He only gave Janus a hug after the look of heart break was too much for him to bear. Logan didn't wait to grab the next letter.

Today is the day, I never thought I would admit this but... I'm scared. Do you think that there is Heaven and Hell for sides? If there is I guess I'm going to hell. Suicide is a sin. Not like anything else I've done deserves heaven.

I don't have very long for this letter. 30 minutes. I have 30 minutes till my heart stops. God I'm terrified. This is the last letter I'm writing Logan. I finished writing Virgil's letters yesterday. All thats left is your letter. And holy fuck I'm scared.

I have to do this, I overheard Wrath making a plan to overthrow the mind. I can't let that happen. I would fail at my only job. It doesn't matter if I'm scared or not, I need to do my job. Thomas would suffer if I didn't.

20 minuites, I have ten minutes till the party. My hand is shaking. Can you tell from my writing? I hope you can still read this. If you can't the letter is pointless.

Logan, I know that this is never something you would reciprocate but...

I love you. I wanted to spend the rest of my life with you. I wanted to take you to the moon for a honeymoon and take you dancing among the stars. I wanted to be the tired husband that has to deal with your legionds of roommates. Logan I love you so god damn much I can't put it into words. I know you could never love me though. Its ok.

Logan dropped the letter and let out the most agonizing scream that could ever come out of his mouth. He cried. He cried and cried and cried. He cried until no more sound came out and his eyes burned.

He didn't notice when the other four came into the room and held him close.

The sides could only feel the hole in their heart grow bigger.

Inside his head he is a professor, but outside he’s as quiet of a student you can get besides not being in class at all. "Nowadays the shows focus more on the drama of the pilots. Which allows for more interesting stories and giving credit to the pilots finally. Robo-Hero had like four and hardly anyone even knew... But nothing is going to beat Robo-Hero fighting a new monster of the week while giving insightful wisdom."

   He walks from his apartment building to the college. It's a short walk. Saves him a fortune not having to get a car. It's always colder in the mornings than the rest of the day. However, weather rarely dictated his wardrobe. He always wore his replica mecha pilot jacket. It bore some of the patches of his favorite mecha pilots like DinoCzar, Ace, Overlord, and of course an old Robo-Hero patch.

"The culture changed. People wanted less aliens and giant monsters, and more realism and internal struggle. Of course this wasn't just happening to mecha shows, but all facets of media. Though I think if you want realistic mecha fights you should just watch the actual mecha league tournaments. The shows are just there to promote toys and Saturday morning entertainment. The point I'm trying to make is... leave my cartoons alone."

   Davis arrives on campus. What follows is a montage of sitting in classes, listening to professors, walking to classes, and completing homework as it's being turned in. His first class is Art Theory. They are currently going over character design and how to tell a story through a character's appearance. The teacher, harmlessly joking, points out Davis and how him always wearing the pilots jacket shows his commitment and passion. Davis nervously chuckles along not knowing how to respond. The other students also playfully laugh, but then begin analyzing themselves on what they wore.

"Take someone like the classic Robo-hero." The professor continues her lecture. "Just looking at him and you get everything you need to know about him. Broad shoulders, big arms and legs, and of course his cape. Waving heroically behind him. Now look at the current champion, Overlord. Much more intricate with spikes and more accurate proportions, and horns resembling a crown. He also has a cape, but his silhouette is much more foreboding isn't it. This fits his character. The contrast to the classical heroes of before. This will be important for all you future mecha designers and engineers." She looks again to Davis.

    It is a small class, so she always singled out students. Davis liked the class and her, but hated being used as an example. The next class after this is an advanced math course. A mandatory for engineer majors.

    After the class Davis has a waiting period of 40 minutes. So he goes to the commons.

"The show actually gets the colors wrong on Robo-Hero. He has a more orange coloring to him. Where as the show gave him a red paint job to appeal more to kids." Davis imagines himself saying back in his art class. He wishes he could be quick witted and able to say something whenever he's put on the spot. When he's with friends he's sharp, but around strangers and in public he shuts off.

    His internal lecture is interrupted by the empty seat across from him becoming inhabited.

"Hey you finish the homework?" His best friend, Matt, asks hopeful. Hoping to copy off of him.

"Yeah... before I turned it in." Davis responds.

"Shit you turned it in?" Matt asks desperately.

"Yes. I have the class before you. What you expect me to not turn in my work just so you can copy?"

"Yeah..."

"No, screw you. Don't make me your last chance to get your work done. Hell I was barely finishing it when I was turning it in."

    They both laugh and continue talking to eachother over their typical topics; mechas, shows, people they don't like, and classes. The two of them have been friends since middle school. They shared the passion for mechas and both agreed to follow their dreams together.

    Their passion however stemmed from slightly different motives. Davis saw them as real life heroes, and desperately desired to be just like them. Matt however was slightly less noble. Matt puts it simply; "chicks dig giant robots."

"Anyways, there's this bonfire party thing on the beach tonight. We should go. It should be fun. Get us out for a bit. Maybe find you a girl." Matt hops his eyebrows up and down.

"Ehh... I don't know." Davis thought about it. Parties really weren't his scene. "Besides, Uncle Mac is making sloppy Joes tonight."

    The man they were referring to isn't actually their uncle, but the overseer of their apartment building. Since most of the residence there are students who can't or for some reason refuse to live directly on campus; he took it upon himself to look after all of them. Wether it be simply feeding them, or waiving certain fees the students couldn't afford.

    The two of them debate about it. Their need for free food greatly out weightes their need for a social life. Despite this however, Matt came up with a compromise.

"Well the thing is like all night. We can go check it out after we eat."

    They both agree on the plan and go their separate ways when classes resume. They only share one class through out the whole day, Mecha engineering. Since Davis started earlier than Matt, his day ends sooner. He's back at the apartment by 3 o'clock. He stops by the community kitchen in the building on his way to his room. Uncle Mac is already in there slow cooking the pork. Another resident is also in the kitchen talking to Uncle Mac, Tai.

    Uncle Mac notices Davis and greets him.

"Ayy, Davy! How was your day?"

"Good." Davis never really knew how to answer that question. Even if he did have a bad day, he felt it easier and better to just say "good" anyways. Not mix anyone in his problems. "Matt told me about this bon fire party thing. So I guess we're going to that later."

"So you tellin me I made all this food for nutin?" Uncle Mac responds with fake agitation.

"Oh no. Believe me there isn't much that we'd miss your food for. Nah, we decided we'd check it out after we eat."

"Yeah you best not be skippin out on my meals." He laughs to himself as he goes back to stirring some gravy in a pan. "Tai you going to this party too?"

"No, no. I... i don't party." Davis could be quiet and shy when around new people or put on the spot, but this was nothing compared to Tai all the time.

"Boy what you mean you don't party? You too cool to party?" Uncle Mac begins to shimmy to music only he can hear. "Everybody party's. When I was your age you'd only find me at a party." Uncle Mac and Davis laugh together as he begins to show them how he would party. Within the confined space of the kitchen. Even Tai got a kick out of it.

"I just have a lot of homework and studying. Can't really party." Tai responds.

"Yeah no, that's important. Keep it up... I'm just saying don't be afraid to let loose a little. Shack em bones of yours. You're young use that energy.

    Davis remembers that he too has homework he has to get done before heading to the party. He takes his leave and heads for his room. He sits down at his desk and begins to work. He tells himself not to turn on the TV, listen to music, or use his phone until he at least finishes 2 assignments.

    Once he feels as though he's done enough to not feel guilty. He turns on his TV and starts work on his "Dragon-Rex" model, hoping to finish it finally. After awhile he checks his phone and sees a message telling him that food is ready. He heads downstairs to the kitchen and gets his plate. They eat outside in front of the building. This was their typical dinning area since they don't have one inside. Matt shows up a bit later and starts eating with them.

    Once they finished eating, Matt and Davis left for the beach. As they approach they could the various sounds of the party going on. They finally arrive and it goes about how they expected. The two of them off to the side together complaining about everything and making fun of everyone. Matt occasionally breaking off to get a drink or talk to someone.

    Things start to pick up when a "rival" of theirs, Gary a fellow mecha engineer major, showed up in a small mecha he "built himself".

"Wow look, Gary brought his own walker." Davis remarks enthusiastically.

"Yeah it's be impressive if it could the one thing you know... walk." Matt responds sharply.

    It is true the self-made monstrosity could barely work. Anytime it actually tried to walk it struggled and a loud grinding noise could be heard.

"Like why go bi-pedal if you don't know how to properly install hydraulics? Go treads and save yourself the embarrassment. I'm surprised he even got the balancing right." Davis comments taking a sip of his drink that he only filled once.

"You think Gary knows the meaning of 'embarassment'? Nah, he'd eat a bowl of shit if you told him it was gourmet." They both laugh and watch on.

"If you guys know so much why don't you go and tell him something." The voice caught them by surprise.

"What-?" They both respond turning their heads to the left where the voice came from.

    Instead of a formal response they are answered with the flash of a camera. Temporarily blinding them for a brief moment. The person holding the camera is a girl, taking a picture of the scene in front of them. Gary pathetically piloting his mecha with a crowd of drunk college students cheering him on. The girl lowers her camera and reveals her face. Her hair is a medium length and green with a cynical face.

"Why don't you guys go and show him up if you know so much? Or are your majors in talking shit and drinking?"

    Davis and Matt just stared at her for a second. Both trying to think of something witty to say. Davis is mostly taken back by her beauty.

"It's a minor." Matt finally spoke. Davis thought of the same thing but a second too late.

"How long have you been standing there?" Davis asks.

"Long enough to pick up your guys characters."

"Oh... so you're some edgy sociology major huh?" Matt asks defensively to someone proclaiming of knowing him.

"Maybe..." she takes another picture. Blinding Matt again. Davis saw it coming and closes his eyes in preparation.

    Davis sees his chance and wishes to talk more to her. She's the first girl he's talked to at the party and the first in months. However, he isn't quiet sure how to do so. He doesn't want to ask something stupid and scare her off.

"Umm... you want a drink?" He nervously asks her.

"Yours?"

"Wha-No, no someone else's." Davis quickly realizes his mistake and tries to correct himself. "I mean like another. Like a drink that hasn't been drink."

"Drunk, and sure." She gives an almost unnoticeable glance up and down. Checking out Davis.

    Matt seeing his friend trying to make a move takes his leave.

"You know what, you've inspired me camera girl. I'm going to go over there and apply my expertise to Gary's monstrosity." Matt steps forward out of their side-by-side line they formed. "Ayy Gary, looks like you could use some help..." Matt's voice trails off as he walks toward Gary and the crowd.

"Oh so what drink you want?" Davis asks.

"Oh, I really didn't want a drink... but I'll walk with you to go get you one."

"Okay," Davis looks at his drink. It's still halfway full. Davis not wanting to blow any chance he has begins chugging down all of it. He finishes and tries to hold in a burn, but it comes out as he speaks. "...let's go."

    The two of them walk and talk. Devils refilling his drink, but not taking anymore sips. As they continue to walk, she reveals that her name is Sora. Named after her parents favorite vid3o game character. Unfortunately Sora did end up having the same hair color as the protagonist. Prompting her to continuously dye it.

"It's actually suppose to be red." Sora adds.

"Well it still looks good. Green really looks good on you." Davis compliments her. Nervous about every word he says, but steadily becoming more comfortable. He enjoys her company.

"Thanks." Sora smiles at him.

"How come you don't just change your name?"

"Well... I don't want to spoil their fun. I think the dying is defiance enough. How about you? How are you with your parents, if you don't mind me asking?"

    Davis takes a moment to think. He didn't have some tragic background or interesting quirk about him. His family worked and never had to worry about money too often, and both his parents were alive and happily married.

"Umm, strict but supportive. When I told them I wanted to be s pilot, they said "go ahead, but be smart. Get a degree in something you can make money from" so... mecha engineer. One day maybe though, I'll have my own, but..." Davis stops. He doesn't know what else to say. The more he talks about his future the scarier it seems. A dream that's getting further away.

"Well that explains the jacket." Sora pinches the sleeve of his jacket. "But why settle for engineer? Why not just try to be a pilot?" The question strikes Davis harder than Sora intended.

"It-if... there isn't a lot of money. Only if I somehow become super successful. At least with engineering I have something to fall back on." Davis isn't even sure if he believes that. Part of him didn't want to admit that he was just scared to try.

"Yeah, but isn't it the same kind of risk? Being a successful engines for pilot. You're always going to risk something. So why not have it be on a dream?"

"What if a fail?" Davis asks trying not to show his cowardice.

"That's going to have to be up to." She responds sympathetically. She understands how he feels. She too feared the consequences of following a dream. An English major betting everything on being an author. The only difference being she had the tenacity to follow through. "Better to die trying, than to live having never tried at all" she tells herself everyday. "You have to start eventually... a mech isn't going to fall out of the sky for you."

"Mecha." Davis corrects.

    He takes a moment to digest everything they've disgust thus far. He looks around and realizes how far away they had walked from the party. Almost to end of the beach. To their right, away from the water, is a Forrest like area. It connects to a park not too far away. Davis remembers a shack inside the woods that he and Matt frequent months ago.

"Hey there's this totally awesome shack nearby, want to check it out?" Davis asks hoping to change the mood.

"I-is that like code for something?" Sora responds hesitant.

"No, it's just this random, abandoned shack out here that me and Matt would always check out."

"'Matt and I', and sure..."

    Davis leads her through the trees towards the shack. Sora begins to ask questions about it.

"What's so cool about this shack?"

"There's just always random stuff appearing in it. A couple of months ago me an-Matt and I were strapped for cash, so we started selling stuff we found in there."

"It ever occurs to you that it might be someone's storage?"

"Of course, but we never saw anything being moved and no one else seemed to know about it. Hey it saved our weekend."

    Sora laughs at how ridiculous the story sounds. They get closer to the clearing where the shack is. Though they are met with a surprise. Seemingly as if dropped on top of the shack, laid a mecha.

    At least 50ft tall, a white and blue paint job with red markings on the face plate. Most striking though about it, is it's figure. It looks very feminine in its design. Davis just stands in awe of seeing it. Easily the coolest thing to appear at the shack. Sora walks up next to Davis with her camera ready.

"You recognize it?" Sora asks him. He nods no unable to fully speak. He starts to walk towards it and Sora lifts up her camera ready to snap a photo.

    As she does however, the flash suddenly seems to activate the mecha somehow. It's massive body convulsing, like a person struggling to breath. This startles Davis and causes him to drop his drink. He starts to back pedal but stops. The mecha's arms flail around and knock what's left of the shack down. It starts to grab at it's face plate. Attempting to raise it up. After a brief struggle it finally retracts up and the mecha's true face is revealed. Pale white skin, with sharp blue eyes and no nose. It's mouth, a simple slit with no lips, but what appear to be uniform teeth hiden in its mouth. It looks around terrified and scans it's current location. As it does, it locks eyes with Davis.

i just read tobys tweet explaining things in deltarune, and here are my thoughts.

spoilers for deltarune

1) deltarune isnt undertale, and it isnt related in anyway (ie. if you did a pacifist route and had a good ending in UNDERTALE, those characters in that universe are still happy.) its neither a prequel, sequel, or reset as many have theorized. its its own thing. it just... is. i like that.

i like the idea that this is just a different scenario/set up for the characters seen thru a new lens, while still staying somewhat true to their character (fishy things, such as alphys hating mew mew 1, seemed to point to a reset of some sort, but shes still the same in that shes nervous a lot and can go into long tangents about her interests.)

this idea makes it easier to make deltarune a separate thing, as toby said later in the tweet that he cant bring you the same feeling you had in undertale, but he will instead give you a new game that will give you new feelings.

but since the story isnt released, i have no idea how far or deep it goes- it seems that chara (now kris) is mostly still chara (still kris) and im happy the story has him as the main character. i think its an interesting contrast from frisk and undertale, much more suspenseful and takes on darker themes. (no im not going to discuss gaster lol)

2. toby seemed to have a lot of reprehension of the games battle system. i thought it was great and fun, the bullet dodging making it active more so than most rpgs, and the idea that blocking creates more TP in battle rather than TP being a distinguishable thing that you deplete and often cant restore until later, this was also a great idea. also the left over TP becomes more money. you cant lose in this scenario.

doing pacifist route (though this phrase itself means just that: not hurting enemies. nothing changes.) i found this to be an extremely fun and useful mechanic when used correctly. for ex (SPOILER) when fighting jevil, where i suck at dodging his bullet patterns cause i havent really figured them out yet, having kris ACT while suzy and ralsei blocked made it so that when they got hurt, i could have ralsei heal them, and could continue playing. it made it very tense too, having to manage and know where your TP percentage is at all times.

i believe that while the battle system could be improved on, (perhaps more interactive ACTS like rearranging block man, or blowing on bunnies. more gear [it was a demo so there will obviously be more], idk. im not a dev im an art major.), it isnt inherently flawed. it is just that: a demo. a thought or concept that can be flushed out more.

i also loved the style of fight sequences, the flashiness of attacking and ACTing, and seeing characters interact with eachother in battle. it really was something i loved and will remember!

3) the in game bullet dodging, outside of battle sequences. this made walking around the world be more than walking around the world. i thought it did a great job at solidifying the concept of the soul/heart, and it was fun maneuvering around them. i love dodging bullets lol. i can see this becoming a big part of the game.

4) Puzzles. toby admitted that some things were lack luster compared to others, but i wouldnt necessarily say that grandeur = to value of its function. puzzles and their concepts repeated themselves, such as the symbol puzzle and button puzzles. the one exception being the eye puzzle. i thing that while these were simple, i had fun going through them. sure, they were easy (for the most part, getting the key was a pain in the ass 4 me cause i kept fucking up the door order). all in all, the puzzles were fun, but not an focal point in the game (Demo, btw.) im sure that when toby does bring puzzles into the next chapters, they'll play a bigger role. that brings me to

3.5) i added this after cause i remembered it but didnt want to change all the numbers cause lazy .... so.

NO multiple endings

this makes sense as it would take a long time to create multiple endings given everything else thats on the plate this time. im not disappointed or sad, i simply understand. it IS a different game, and i think it will be important to the lore (your choices dont matter).

also, like toby said, most games are already like this. i welcome it.

4) the development for the next chapters.

Toby making a game as great as undertale (i never played it but watched a walkthrough, an understood the plot as most of my friends loved it) by himself for the most part, with help from Temmie (of course!) and as well as help with the art, its an incredible feat. no wonder the whole theme of the game was determination. that being said, deltarune is an incredibly ambitious game, even more so than undertale, and it seems that hes had it in the vaults of his mind for a long time. maybe even before undertale.

it makes sense that a game of this scope will take much longer to create. with a much more complicated party system, battle system, increase in pixel art quality, more dynamic fight sequences and UI as well as like, a thousand things im forgetting, its a fucking miracle he had the determination to create and finish that. (if only i could start having that much motivation sadface).

i look forward to what he has in store for us, and i will be patient until then, considering these things take time, and toby is a human, depsite what people believe. many do have high expectations of him, but i think so long as he remembers this is about him giving his ideas and stories to the world, he'll be okay (hopefully).

5) the team

im not sure how, when, what, or uh whomst it will be obviously. point 7 was really funny. i think that toby wont have a hard time finding people wanting to work with him and on the team, but i think it will be difficult to find people who are motivated and determined enough.

6) last thoughts

i think that the world with darkeners being seperate from kris' real world is a very interesting and cool thing! it makes you wonder if its real or not. i think this will make future chapters SUPER interesting, seeing if actions in the darkener world change things in the lightener world? how it will play into the plot in the lightener world will be interesting.

also, asriel is alive in this game. hes in university, so hes an adult. im scared that something bad will happen to him and kris in the future. but also, theyre both alive! yay! i wonder if we'll see of hear about frisk again, either way i love it.

and last, the ending. what can i say? its like, really vague. i think the contrast between asriel and kris will be a big conflict in this game- asriels side of the room being filled with trophies and personal items, while kris' is empty excluding the mysterious birdcage. people in town bringing up and talking about their wonderful memories with asriel in the past, but im not sure if this is relevant or just toby letting us get more of an idea of his role. all in all he seems very loved and popular, while kris is... something else. i dont know what yet. i hope he gets a happy ending though.

and he seems like he was possessed, or not wholly himself at the end. his snappy walk and dragging himself was very unlike what we've seen throughout the game. i dont know what this means, if its more like his true nature or something else. did he know about his soul/heart before the events of the game? does he do this often, as at the beginning the desription of the birdcage and wagon depicted itcas heavily used? why the hell does he have a whole ass knife? he gonna kill someone?

also i think kris is in early highschool/late middleschool as his classmates seem to be working around town. i dont know what the work age there is tho. el oh el

all in all, i really wish him luck, i was SUPER, ULTRA satisfied with deltarune chap 1, and i cant wait to see what happens in the future. also, i loved the music

The Weekly Ration; Issue #1

Welcome to Working Title!  This is a Rip-Off (read rip-off) of FlyDay by Sean Callahan.  After he announced he was taking a break on Friday, I did feel a little blah about it and a minuscule amount of "oh shut up Sean" about it.  To be fair, he's felt that way about me on multiple occasions and we'd never tell each other this till month's after the event because we are passive aggressive gentlemen.  Anyways here's a piece I worked on that really hurt me because I had to research the subject matter.

Investigating the Trash Heap that is the douche-fuck, steroid chugging, centrist bait for unfunny fuck bois at open mics,  piece of shit Joe Rogan with no ad-hominems (toward Joe Rogan) except the title where I get to berate his stupid fucking face.

Ad-hominem.  In philosophy and debate it is told to us that as soon as you use an Ad-hominem you lose the argument.  The theory is as soon as you get into name-calling you become too passionate with hate or distaste that your stand-points fall apart because they are based in anger.  You can have an argument solid with foundations, truths, and thought out research but as soon as you call someone a poopy head you lose.  You get nothing.  Good day sir.  I personally think this old standpoint is invalid as a passionate argument coming out of the mouth of someone who isn't a robot has more umph to it.  But this is the driving force of these kind of argument freelancers.  With the title out of the way that clearly shows I lose, I present the rest of this article that hurt me and I'll show you on the doll.

Let's begin by explaining what a Joe Rogan is.  A Joe Rogan is a 51 yr. Comedian, MMA Commentator, Actor, and Podcast Guru.  He has a high ranking podcast with a very impressive record of being no. 1 or in the top 5 on Itunes and several other podcast streaming sites continuously for years.  On his podcast he goes into depth with interviews with people of all different walks of life ranging from angry white guys to angrier white guys.  To his credit, I'm only 80% jesting.  To his credit he is a good interviewer for the type of podcast he is presenting.  He's had some interviews that made me see perceived monsters as human and golden gods as flawed specimens.  In the rare times I've checked out his podcast, his interview with fucking angry red-tinted moron and fuck face Alex Jones (see title) actually had Alex Jones out-of-character and being a fairly down-to-earth alright guy.  Until he called liberals pyschic vampires (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MkMnwFZyNrw&t=23s), but I imagine doing a show like InfoWars will irreparably have long lasting side effects.

As does doing The Joe Rogan Experience.  Joe Rogan is very into hallucinogens and will appear on his show stoned numerous times, more than not.  He talks about their mental health benefits and existential properties that have helped him and recommends them to his guests, audience, and everyone in the world essentially.  I am very in favor of the good hallucinogens do and support that narrative.  He even talks about the benefits of a deprivation tank which I want to try for myself and encourage anyone to as well.  However, the goal of most "trips" is to destroy your own ego and perceived world view so as to attain a higher plateau of thought.  Joe ignores that side of the journey and with child-like wonder just says "whoa dude".  I mean, it is pretty "whoa dude", but that's not the end goal of those journeys.  You want to come out changed, your perspective advanced, and less depressed.   Joe fails to go past the "oh shiny" phase of trippy drugs, even DMT and Ayahuasca which puts most people on their ass and forever humbled to reality.  His blase approach to taking "whoa dude" drugs has even lead to him emboldening contrarian, damaging viewpoints.

Joe Rogan is essentially a libertarian,although if asked he says he is not affiliated with any political party.  This stance is held-up by many of his viewers/listeners and is basically the "well I'm not them" argument.  It's having your cake and giving it to the 1%.  That stance makes him and many with this worldview, see themselves as bullet-proof and hyperbolic Supermans who can give a platform to any sort of ideological monstrosity because "well I'm not them", "whoa dude", or "I don't know about all of that."  Interviewing Milo Yolopoopmouse (read YolilelaleeTrump) and "hearing him out" as he talks about "Daddy Trump"(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vZ8KSh9bd6w)without calling out Milo's fascist viewpoints only makes more Milo YugiOh!cards.  This is where Joe gains so many followers.  Joe Rogan, who "doesn't affilate with any political party" finds himself emboldening centrists.   

Centrism is the agnosticism of politics with much more dangerous, physical, and desperate real world applications.  Agnostics question, compare and contrast while Centrists, at least of late, are just stirring up ill-will and trying to come out of as the better person.  The "I don't give a shit" approach to something like an existential question of God ultimately doesn't have nearly the same impact of seeing an Anti-Fa Militant and a Proud Boy fighting with the response "both sides are bad."  Fence sitting on God, fine.  Fence sitting on the abject horror of quickly rising fascist dictatorship, not fine.  Very not fine.  One of the least fine things you can be doing in this or any other year.

This centrism has found him an allegiance of militant fans who take what he says and doesn't say to the extremes.  Because Joe is so dismissive or non-argumentative with the ideologues he brings on his show it empowers his viewers/listeners to continue their movements.  Joe may hate Trump like any other breathing person with a speck of human decency, but he has Trump fans who have more blood push into their sexual organs when Alex Jones and Milo are guests.  Joe may hate racism, but "hearing out" a radical racist gives entitlement to NRA supporters who have wet dreams of home invasions.  Joe may think you need to get laid,  but having an Incel rant about outright misogyny leads to an asexual self-made eunuch plot his revenge.  Take a fucking stand is what I'm saying.  Just because you yell a lot on your show doesn't mean you're arguing.

I avoid arguing about Joe Rogan as much as I can, however, I am a comedian as well.  I go to open mics regularly, get booked on shows, and want to basically not work so I do comedy.  I've been doing it for over 4 years now, and I love every moment of it.  No surprise, when I first got into comedy I found Joe Rogan endearing and "sticking it to the soy boy beta cucks" (that exact term is from It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia.  Obviously 4 years ago it wasn't really around but I'd be sure to say that phrase if it existed back then).  But as with numerous examples in this article and more I can't type as my eye is already twitching enough, I found definite faults with Joe and didn't see him as the hilarious contrarian I once did.

Because I realized he's not even contrarian, he's opinion-lite.  He's centrist.  He's straw man argument.  If this or the rest of this article (obviously disregarding the title) feel ad-hominem now, my only excuse is I'm not very good at this and this is my first time writing one of these articles in several years.  Something that makes me chuckle to this day was a clueless, middle-aged guy trying comedy for his first time.  He came up to the deck, trying to bond, form a connection with us.  His opening remarks were "Wow, Joey Coco Diaz and Joe Rogan are here on the same night!  HOW DO I CHOOSE?" which didn't lead to the glad-handing and praise he wanted but a quick "Joey Diaz" from most of the deck.  We returned to staring at our phones and avoiding eye contact with eachother.  We're comics, we're anti-social weirdos who want to be loved by strangers but only when we have a mic in our hands.  He felt crushed while simultaneously thinking we don't like comedy, which is only true of most of us.  

If you want the anger and passion you hear from Joe Rogan but with a punch and bravado I suggest Doug Stanhope.  Doug Stanhope "doesn't give a shit" but he has real umph and vigor.  He has a contrarian viewpoint to almost anything, is hyperbolic, and hypocritical.  He's everything Joe Rogan wants to be but far more in-depth, entertaining, and outright funny.  Contrarian and definitely not a centrist trying to hide centrism with yelling and looking cool.  Now if you excuse me I have to run away from these new comics.

I don't get why people think that all the parallels between Mileven and Elliot/E.T. mean that they can't be romantic/endgame. E.T. is like the biggest inspiration for ST, of course they would parallel it, but not rewrite the same story! Here they could be switching the story up by having Elliot fall in love with "E.T.", who's a actually a (human) girl his age. It really doesn't prove anything about the future of the relationship that they made an hommage to E.T. scenes in S1.

El watches he-man in s1. In s2 Erica makes he-man and barbie kiss: “Hey , They’re in love!”Lucas (livid- and standing right next to a rainbow forcing them apart): “No, actually,  they’re not. they don’t even exist on the same planet.”  Mileven is not in love! Notice in s2 , that same season , Dustin also has he-man and et next to eachother as well (next to ghost buster toys).They said they made el dress like a ghost cause et did so- and then for the extra burn they made mike a ghost hunter/buster.

They’re as compatible as a ghost and a ghost hunter- a boy and an alien.

El and mike are compared to ET and Eliot -WHO AREN’T FROM THE SAME PLANET (by the Duffers in multiple interviews , in the pilot script, and illustrated in the show ) .Also when dustin in s1 says el is “like a wizard” (like Will.) Mike corrects dustin and says “more like yoda”. Really hammering down the alien references. And then there’s the  old euphemism of “girls come from Venus, and boys come from Mars”.  The Duffers saying mileven isn’t in love cause they’re not even from the same planet (aka the same gender) -is just them telling us Mike is gay so he can’t fall for El-who is a girl/diff species. They literally have Will say to Mike “welcome to my world” as a contrast. So El telling mike he should ‘stick with his own species’ (aka boys) is another gay hint. 

They showed Et/Barbie next to he-man, compared El to Et (who had a barbie-like makeover), had El watch he-man , so the next he-man ref of ‘not being in love’  cause they’re from different planets would connect in a more obvious way to mileven.  Same with Et next to the ghost trap and ghost busters sign (and El dressing as a ghost and Mike as a ghost buster-as an extra burn).And sorry ... who compares the girl they “crush on” with a green gross alien (yoda)?

- Mike thinking of El as alien-esque is hammered down again when they compare s1 mileven to s2 dart /dustin (a demo dog) , to further show how un-romantic it is. And how alien he sees her. Fin even said the duffers told him Mike saw el as a “puppy’ (right after s1).  Sharing sweets ( nougat vs eggos) for breakfast and saying they’ll have to wait for them to come home from school. saying they ‘promised’ to take care of them and that El/dart ‘trust’ them. Dart killing a cat and  El almost killing a cat.The crews thinking both El & Dart were bad guys and both end up running away because of that. Mike even admits in s1 he doesn’t like eggos and told El she doesn’t have to eat “like a dog” anymore. And mike annoyed, in s2 saying  “a bond? cause he likes nougat ?!” is dissing milevens who thought the ego thing was cute/romantic.  And all of those reasons is why El says in s3 angrily , “am I your pet?”

In s3,they even threw in Mike on the phone saying “EL? No not interested...telemarketers”  Flo in s1 says “only love makes you that crazy and that damn stupid.” El in s3: “more to life than stupid boys/ what makes you crazy? “ Then in s3 Dustin calls mileven “bullshit” aka just like stancy (Wheeler lying about being in love with partner, when secretly into a byers. Nancy verbally said “i love you” and kissed  Steve all the time- like mileven. That doesn’t equal love) . In s3, they even had steve say “Dustin was right . it’s bullshit.” She lied to her friends to kiss Mike, going against her “friends don’t lie “ mantra . And Mike never apologized for lying. And el never apologized for spying.  Mileven dances to a song about a stalking ex- El does so in s3. In s2 she watches a soap opera and mimics the character who does not end up with Mike Roy- and it ends with one of them stalking the other after the breakup and sabotaging their new romances. When El confesses to mike (and Mike doesn’t kiss her back or close his eyes) the ‘first i love you’ played- which was only played 1 other time: when steve got rejected by gay Robin. They even paralled mileven to Luke/leia. Finn in that same interview after s1 said Duffers told him mileven is like a “summer love” (aka ‘summer loves’ are flings that end in the summer). Like Max and Will said ‘ That doesn’t sound like a break/it’s not !” The list goes on and on

Move on ,you’re ship was never good. It’s a dumpster fire. The second she dumped him she started ogling  another boy in a magazine and had a dance party. Not like she has ever been in a normal social environment where there were more than 4 boys- to theoretically choose from  . Girl didn’t even know how to discern what (clothes) she liked or whether Mike was a good kisser (while already dating him for 6 months) . She didn’t even know what a state was at 14 years old (plus, literally didn’t know what Illinois was despite going there in s2). She only just learned how to tell time. She’s not ready for a boyfriend. 

Sorry mileven anon who keeps on spamming me . Enough is enough. Ship mileven if you want . But coming to my blog, spamming me -insulting my theories (didn’t share their other asks) just makes you look petty.
