dearly thinking of your swap au ark silver.... i'd like to think that after everything starts to calm down he'd try to grow a garden like canon silver has. perchance his maria talked about plant life on earth and after he remembers everything he tries to grow some of the things she mentioned

i'd imagine it wouldn't be perfect, maybe he'd give up and get mad a few times when a plant dies or something doesn't go right but he finds some part of it to be therapeutic. people hurt him, and he's still trying to work past pushing people away, but plants will always be one consistent that cant be cruel or judge him

Maybe Amy suggested it to him after everything that happened, and he remembered all the crops and flowers that Maria had told him about and decided to give it a shot. He starts out small, but as he gets super invested in it it slowly expands and eventually it grows to be HUGE. Like botanical garden levels of big. Every time someone shows up to visit theres like a whole new section with new fun types of flowers and plants.

If GH!Shadow and co. ever need his help, they know they can always find him tending to his garden <3

It’s genuinely fascinating to see how heavily John has started projecting onto Robert, making him out to be this dangerous, psychopathic killer who is only out for himself and will hurt anyone and everyone in the village to get what he wants. That awareness that someone like that shouldn’t be trusted, and yet that someone isn’t Robert at all, it’s John himself.

John is really painting Robert in his own image to deflect from the web of lies he’s hiding from and if the village can get over its collective plot brain for once I hope people start catching on to how truly insane his vendetta against Robert is.

Holding Robert in contempt for being someone he is not, and yet everything that John actually is, just because he doesn’t trust his husband not to fall back into Robert’s arms eventually, is absolutely hilarious to watch and the most interesting John has ever been.

the devious cycle of pony express only employing as few people as possible to run their freighters and relying on them either staying perfectly healthy for the entire haul (unlikely) or deducting their medical expenses from their pay, putting their medical staff in a sensitive position of either having very little real work to do or being tied into another employee losing money. of course anya gets so little respect. the captain is there to make sure all is good, the co-pilot essentially flies the ship (based on what i found about the responsibilities of airplane pilots and co-pilots respectively), the mechanic fixes anything in need of fixing. the nurse however is pretty much just there because theyre probably not allowed to fly without any medical staff on board but pony express medical exams are put together by pony express themselves, theyre essentially a joke, just like the psych evals that can be passed with very obvious lies. anya taking her job so seriously and curly having any respect for her are probably striking exceptions.

but more than anything oh my god they should not be flying spaceships on year-long hauls with crews of four. jesus on the cross

Max went to Barcelona on Thursday and is going to Prague in the Czech Republic to test cars for 2 days… and on the weekend he will participate in a 24h online race and then he will go to Canada…. Doesn't he take care of his daughter? He spends more time away than near.

A crazy thing about Mouthwashing is that Pony Express lost communication with one of its freighters for months and didn’t send anyone to check.

A genuinely reputable company, or at the very least a decent one, would have sent someone, something out to check after about two weeks of silence. Two months is when the crew start questioning if they are even being looked for which implies they were already expecting it to take a while cause P.E just doesn’t care.

They don’t care about who they hire. They don’t care about the conditions they place their crew in or how safe the safety measures actually are. They just don’t care, made rules and regulations so they can care less and succeed in getting away with it with how little those ideas are discussed.

personally, for me, the saddest and most haunting tmbg song is "hi honey I'm home". it's a rare callback in their catalogue to their art rock inspirations, more of an experimental audio piece than music, and I feel profoundly sad whenever I listen to it.

it's simple, but effective, because the plaintive loop feels like a person escaping into a fantasy and convincing themselves they're safe at the destination they never ended up reaching.
