Here's my entry for san japan's tshirt contest! The theme was "sound", so I was thinking a ska band using san japan's mascots!

dude i wanted to talk about this but when i wanted to the “mephone is a child” shit was still ongoing so before i start i wanna preface if i see any “he is just a child/baby:(“ i will kick every joint in your body halfway across the hemisphere

anyways. i did not get much insight into this beforehand because i joined quite literally a few days before ii16 dropped, but i realized that mephone before the Reveal was always seen as this mostly put together guy who has the whole gameshow thing figured out and just has some baggage on the way. not to say there were not hints to show he didn’t know what the fuck he was doing (gestures to season 3. “yeah! for photos and stuff.” “in my defense, i never thought they’d check.”) but other than his memories in episode 13 and glimpses and hints throughout the season it really seemed like he was the host to have it All Figured Out.

and OH WHAT A MASK THAT T’WAS!!!! perhaps this is my own dumbassery showing but any hint or glimpse of his naivety or dare i say childishness was smoothed over by that reality show host persona. i mean, in episode 15 that was shown in full force when he nearly went the whole episode Almost Successfully wearing the wacky host persona until cobs had to take that mask and shatter it.

and then shoot it 56 times and beat it with a baseball bat. like the fact that he didn’t realize that he created his own contestants until cobs told him himself really just tears down the whole act. like the whole interview with box just confirming yeah. this fucker tricked you all. bro had NO clue what he was doing.

chat… ii au idea. au where cobs takes over the show instead of mephone (but he controls mephone’s body) and uh. completely ELIMINATES those who get eliminated. if you accept your fate you get KILLED to shreds and all

but then they add a bit of spice to it as you can have another chance at survival by being drafted into the next season, in exchange for higher penalties / risks…. yes that means the three timers are HELLA lucky to be alive

and the finalists of each season would be the only ones standing with a few exceptions to the rules (i.e. marshmallow escaping from the premises of the game, or bot being a REALLY special case since they weren’t generated)

basically you die if you get eliminated and all and they try their best not to die….. i’ll explain on that…….

i cannot stop thinking about this au at the moment because i just really like seeing the finalists interact… and see everyone they love die in front of their very eyes :_)

also the “deaths” are in elimination order with a few changes (like the post-s3 elims in s2) so uhhh.. share your thoughts chat

✨: What's a fic you've posted you wish you could breathe life into again and have people talking about it? (or simply a fic you wish got more credit)

i feel like my answer to this is always MILF (man i love fishing) because i'm really proud of how i wrote sam and his process of grieving in this one, but i think i probably fucked that up myself by naming it a joke title (i have no regrets. that title is hilarious.)

i also want to shout out you don't look a day over fast cars and freedom bc 1) i think it got lightly overshadowed by the fic where bucky grows old after sam has passed on, which like, i get, because outside of the princess diaries au that might be the fic i'm most proud of, but also 2) if i breathed life into this one again i'm hoping it would spur on more old married sambucky bc i adore it and there's so little of it

🎀: give yourself a compliment about your own writing

aaaaaaa this is always so hard um. i really like my characterization? i spend a lot of time on it whenever i'm writing and, like i referenced in another one of these, i try really hard to make sure the characters are recognizable and still in character no matter what situation they're in (ESPECIALLY in aus) and i think i do a pretty consistently good job at accomplishing this, and i'm pretty proud of that!

🤲: what do YOU get out of writing?

i've managed to build myself a really wonderful community of friends and mutuals from writing, which is definitely a big part of why i do it, but i also just have a lot of ideas and it's really great getting to put pen to paper (metaphorically, of course, given i write everything basically in google docs). the whole reason i started writing sambucky in the first place is because i had fic ideas i couldn't get out of my brain, and they just needed to go somewhere, and they ended up going onto ao3 in the form of the one last stop au, the princess diaries au, and the fic where bucky dresses up (and, eventually, sam dresses up) as a uso showgirl for halloween, and then that's just blossomed into all the writing i've done from there. idk i just really enjoy both the sense of community i get from writing and the break from my brain being like "hey if we don't write this we'll die" (which is, coincidentally, also how i ended up giving a speech and winning a medal for it at my high school graduation even though i hate public speaking and, at that point in my life, had multiple anxiety attacks over the thought of having to do it)
