insomnia — kang minhee

according to kang minhee, you sleep too little.

ever since moving in with your very amazing and insanely tall partner, kang minhee, he always comments on how sleepless you look each day.

while you would agree, with how much work you have to do. yeah, you could stop painting all day but do you really want to? no. even if your up at three in the morning, it doesn't really matter to you.

it matters to minhee though.

minhee doesn't necessarily have to wake up in the morning to go to work, but you know he likes to get a full nights sleep, so seeing him awake at a time that you were awake was odd.

"y/n?"

"yes?"

"insomnia again?" he inquires, he knew you struggled to sleep, you hum as you narrow your eyes, a small groan of frustration escaping your lips as you realized you used the wrong color.

"yep" you whisper, staring at the colors as your eyes go back to the painting again. "i think i may have used the wrong color" you say.

"what are you painting?" minhee asks, gently placing his hands onto your shoulders as he tries to figure out what the painting is supposed to be.

"a garden" you reply. "i mean— i've started it, but i don't know which flowers to paint".

"what about tulips?" he suggests, and you tilt your head to look up at him. "you like those".

"those are kind of hard to paint.."

"you painted a literal cruise once, y/n" he states in a very deadpanned way, you chuckle and shake your head at the words.

"alright then" you sigh, pouting. "now i have to change the canvas".

"why do you..?"

"because i already got halfway through the painting and i prefer yellow colored tulips so now i have to start all over because it has to be perfect—"

"alright y/n" he squeezes your shoulder, and you laugh. you place down the other painted canvas, you'll use it for something later, you picked up a new blank canvas and placed it onto the easel.

"minhee why are you awake?" you ask as you begin to paint what you intended to.

"because you are" he says simply, somehow now having a cup of hot chocolate in his hands. you narrow your eyes at the sight, not even knowing where he'd gotten hot chocolate.

"where'd you get that?" you ask, staring at him for a moment before turning back to your canvas and beginning to paint the surrounding bush. "i want some.." you mutter.

"magic" he says in a tone of excitement, looking like a little kid, or seongmin whenever he gets chocolate. "how do i convince you to go back to sleep?"

"you don't".

"y/n" minhee whines, pouting as if he was a baby and not a 20 year old man who was 6'2. "if you don't get sleep then i'm gonna lose sleep over you losing sleep".

"then stay awake with me" you say, turning to look back at him once again. minhee blinks, like he wants to say no but genuinely can't.

"fine then" he says. "i will, i'll supervise your painting" he places the cup of hot chocolate down and places his hands onto your shoulders once again.

"i appreciate that" you say, minhee simply smiles and nods as he observes you paint.

he'd give a lecture on why sleep is important in the morning—

and maybe you'd actually listen then.

Minhee had his day off, and he decided to surprise his girlfriend with her favorite coffee and strawberry cheesecake. He unlocked the door to her apartment, tiptoeing to her bedroom because he knew she would be still sleeping. A smile flashed across his face as he saw her sleep contentedly in his t-shirt. He placed the coffee and cheesecake on the side table, sitting carefully on the bed next to Y/N. He leaned closer to her ear, whispering.

"Wake up, Sleepy Beauty." He watched her, how she was slowly waking up with a confused look on her face.

"What are you doing here, bubs?" she asked, yawning loudly. Minhee giggled at how she was cute.

"I have a day off, so I decided to see my beautiful lady," he said, still giggling at her.

"Why are you giggling? I just woke up," she playfully slapped his shoulder. He laughed, cuddling to her.

"You're just so cute."

“I’m bored.”

You sigh. “I know since you feel the need to remind me every five minutes.”

“Because I’m bored!” he reiterates in an overly dramatic tone. “We’ve been here for over an hour. How long does it take to stare at some clouds?”

“Hey, they’re not just some clouds!” You sit up a little to lightly punch his arm, laying back on the grass right after. “Use your imagination! Come on, look at that one. What do you see?” 

You point your finger to a random spot.

Minhee squints as he glances up at the sky, puzzled. “I don’t know, kind of looks like a cat giving birth.”

You click your tongue. “How poetic.”

“Thank you.” He gives you a lazy, lopsided grin, his eyes squinting from the sunlight. “Also, do we have to be in the grass? Couldn’t we have set up a hammock or something?”

“I’m starting to see why Serim doesn’t invite you to his family camping trips anymore.”

He shrugs. “You’re not wrong.”

Though he’s your best friend, Minhee has never taken much interest in your hobbies and vice versa. You were far from polar opposites; the two of you just simply didn’t engage in any similar past times.

But ever since he got you to join him and the boys for a night of karaoke, you’ve been begging him to give your interpretation of fun a try in the hopes that he’ll enjoy it too. At first, he thought cloud watching couldn’t be that bad since he usually liked things that required minimal energy, but it didn’t take him long to realize that it just didn’t really click with him.

Now, some weekends he’ll force himself out of bed in the morning to sit in his backyard and stare at the sky to see if the experience will feel any different. It never does.

Though one day when he passes by the park on a jog and finds you by yourself in the field, he sees just how adorable you are. The way you appear so lost in your own world, softly humming a tune under your breath. The way you react when he calls out your name as you turn your head to look at him with a soft smile.

He’s undeniably infatuated by your serenity.

Minhee still doesn’t understand any of the joy that could possibly come from watching a bunch of clouds, but if he were to think of something, at least they reminded him of you.

The sound of rustling and frantic mumbling pulled Minhee from his sweet dream of a bathtub full of tabby kittens.

His eyebrows furrowed and a groan slipped past his lips as if telling whoever and whatever to simply fuck off. A smile rose to his face as sleep quickly found him again soon after.

The room was silent, save for the small "Minhee?" that was whispered out into the still air, followed by the creaking of the bed.

Little taps danced across his cheeks every few seconds and he subconsciously wrinkled his nose. He felt like he was going to sneeze any second from the tickling feeling.

Starting to feel frustrated, he finally opened his eyes, trying to catch the culprit red-handed. Staring back at him like a deer in headlights was his s/o, completely frozen without saying a word.

"..what are you doing?"

They gave him an awkward smile, moving from their spot in his lap and onto the bed next to him. "You know how I said I was gonna stay up and finish my paper? Well, I got bored of that and decided to come to bed,,, but I couldn't fall asleep and I had a good idea!"

Minhee rubbed at his eyes. "Okay.. and what was it?"

"When people can't sleep, they count sheep. Sheep are really... been there and done that so…. I started counting your freckles. Then I realized your freckles kinda remind me of stars. So I went to Daiso and brought these star stickers to put on your cheeks." they held up the sheet of stickers with a sheepish smile.

"You brought who for my what?" he sat up, giving them a sleep-fueled confusion-ridden expression.

"I, um… I brought little star stickers to put on your cheeks"

Minhee couldn't help but laugh as he thought over everything he was just told. "You could've just woken me up to make this whole thing easier on yourself, babe."

They pouted, "but you looked so peaceful in your sleep.."

"Well I'm up now, aren't I?"

The two of them sat across each other on the floor, Minhee quietly watching as his s/o was hard at work.

"Are you done yet?"

"Hmmm.. nope, not yet. Gotta make this perfect.."

As the feeling of boredom started to settle into his stillness, his hand reached for the Daiso bag, dumping the contents out onto the floor. Grabbing the lone glitter jar, he looked down at it, the cogs in his brain churning before he looked up to his s/o's face and back down again. A mischievous smirk painted his face as he laughed to himself.

"What are you-" They were cut off by Minhee's gentle poke under their eye, a grainy feeling under his fingertip.

"Oh… it barely stuck." he sulked as he pulled his hand back, looking at his work.

"What the hell did you just put on my face?"

He held up the jar with an innocent smile, "I thought we could match~"

Their eyes grew as they realized what was going on, "you put glitter on my face?! I'm still gonna be scrubbing this stuff off by the time I'm sixty-four!"

"You'll be a fashion icon in your 60's—you should thank me really. Besides, you look cute."

They rolled their eyes with a sigh, the smile on their face betraying their act. "If you want the glitter to actually stick.. you can go grab my eyelash glue or something…."

a sleepy groan had made its way out of your lips as he technically carried you out of your shared room. the weak resistance coming from your still drowsy figure had no effect on him. 

“please, serim, it’s too early for this.” you pouted but stood in front of the wide television where the routine he’d usually follow was already playing.

he chuckled at your response, cupping your cheeks before planting a soft peck on your lips. “a set of curl-ups, i’ll kiss you every time your elbows touch your thighs.”

the offer sounds good, but you thought of a better one. “how about you curl-up while i hold you and i kiss you each time you rise?”

sunrise with allen ma

despite how you were already wearing a thick layer of clothes, the morning breeze still made you shiver. you weren’t really a fan of waking up early, but allen would always manage to get you off the bed through all the soft and tickling kisses. 

the two of you were sitting on the bench by the balcony of your shared unit, watching the sky which was still painted black. it was growing lighter and lighter with each passing minute though. 

allen threw his arm on your shoulder, bringing you closer to him. as he leaned back, you allowed your head to rest on his chest, his soft heartbeat offering you a fuzzy feeling. 

soon the sun began extruding a bright color in the sky. its warmth slowly spreading. 

“regardless of how many times i’ve seen this with you. it’s still beautiful,” allen remarked, his eyes locked in the sky.

“it is.” as you said those words, allen leaned close to you, giving the top of your head a light kiss.

tickles and kisses with koo jungmo

there was no need for any alarms, jungmo’s lips brushing upon your skin as he peppered your face with light kisses were all you needed in the morning. it had been always enough to wake you up, your day starting right off with a smile. 

“good morning, y/n,” he greeted, his voice still dripping in drowsiness as he planted a soft peck on your lips. there was a small smile on his lips, contented before he wrapped his arms around you, snuggling closer. “wake up~”

you simply hummed as a reply which wasn’t exactly the response jungmo had usually favored. soon right after, his hand began moving all over your body. an annoyingly funny sensation coursing throughout your body as he tickled you. it was his last straw for waking you up.

laughter filled the room as you tried to wriggle out of jungmo’s grasp. he was already sitting, continuing the act with chuckles leaving his lips. 

“okay, okay,” you said in between laughter. “i’m already awake.”

he immediately stopped and extended his hand to pull you off your lying position. another quick kiss. “let’s go and get something to eat.”

breakfast with seo woobin

the couch served as your second bed, your eyes were barely open as you rested your head on the armrest. woobin on the other hand was busy in the kitchen, the sound of the sizzling pan and the smell of the sauteed ingredients wafting in the air. 

formerly it was a simple toast, followed by pancakes, but now, woobin has taken it to another level. a complete meal every morning. breakfast is the most important meal of the day, yes?

woobin shook you a little, a light tap on your arm, and your eyes slowly opened once again. what felt like a blink of sleep wasn’t a blink at all. 

“breakfast’s ready.” a smile was on his lips as he extended his hand to help you stand. though in the end, he ended up hoisting you up from the living room to the dining area where he had already placed the morning dishes he cooked. 

hurried morning preparations with ham wonjin

“i told you to wake me up before six in the morning,” wonjin said, scrambling to find his socks in your shared closet. 

you rolled your eyes, sighing afterward. “look, you’re not the only one running late. i woke up late as well!”

mornings were never really a time of peace for you and wonjin. with most of it spent in lighthearted arguments ranging from who should have woken up who to helping each other find the last garment they had to wear. 

“here are your socks, silly,” you uttered, walking towards him to hand him the item. 

wonjin smiled. “what will i do without you?”

“live a sockless life.” 

“sounds right.” hunching his shoulders up, he chuckled at your response. 

it didn’t take him too long to finish putting on his socks and a pair of shoes. he grabbed both your bag and his, slinging it both to his shoulder. it was a little act he’d do every morning, carry your things for you. his hand snaked on yours, fingers intertwining afterward. “let’s go, y/n.”

it wasn’t like both you and minhee were attentive with the morning news playing in the television. the sound it produced simply serving as background noise as the two of you sat on the couch next to each other. 

a cup of coffee was in your hand, its warmth spreading, an effective remedy for the chilly morning. minhee had his arms slung on your shoulders, his other hand holding another cup. he would take a few sips every now and then as he gazed at the television.

“what’s your plan today, minhee?” you asked, taking a sip of your drink afterward. 

minhee downed another small gulp before he answered. “nothing much.” a contented smile appeared on his countenance as he rested his head on the top of yours. “we can spend the whole day like this if you want to though.”

and you were absolutely not against that idea.

questionable cooking with song hyeongjun

“is that really an egg?” hyeongjun’s laughter had filled the room as he pointed at the burnt egg that you placed on the plate. 

you rolled your eyes, settling it on the table. it wasn’t like you were bad at cooking, it was just you forgot to turn the fire low when you went out of the kitchen to receive a parcel. “that’s a new egg recipe, you know?”

“one that could possibly upset your stomach,” hyeongjun teased, a chuckle punctuating his words as he placed two bowls on the table followed by him shuffling in the kitchen to get a box of cereal and milk. he mixed some together, proudly saying, “this is my type of cooking.”

“mixing cereal and milk is not cooking, hyeongjun,” you said. but helped yourself with one of the servings he made. 

“at least it’s far better than your burnt eggs.” the pout that decorated your lips simply encouraged a string of laughter to get out of his lips.

drowsy talks with kim taeyoung

“and then you arrived.” taeyoung finished off his story with a soft chuckle which was eventually followed by a yawn. light filtered through the blinds, it was already morning and neither of you had gotten even a blink of sleep. too busy with talking, you jumped from a topic to another.

the two of you were sitting on the couch, snuggling under a thick blanket. 

“sun’s here,” you said, laughing. for what reason? you don’t know. maybe you were really that sleepy. and maybe taeyoung was of the same state since he also laughed.

“guess, it’s time for us to sleep?” taeyoung suggested, his eyes almost closing. but before it could shut to sleep, he brought his lips close to the top of your head. “good morning, good night, whichever it is. sleep well, y/n.”

morning cuddles with ahn seongmin

regardless of how many times the alarm clock has been set to snooze, none of you got off the bed. 

only a few stretches and shifting of positions to get back to sleep was done. you weren’t even halfway back to your dream when the alarm went off again. this time, it was seongmin who attended to it, turning it off to end the buzzing misery. 

without opening his eyes, he spread his arms, falling to your figure to give you a hug. his drowsy voice, melting in your ears. “morning, y/n. let’s sleep in.”

you hummed in response since your mind was still unable to form any word as a verbal response. moving closer, you wrapped your arms around him. 

it was a weekend anyway, so spending the whole day snuggling close to seongmin wasn’t a bad idea. never will it be.

classes have ended for the day, and minhee made his way straight to the school library to work on a paper that is due in a few days. he took his regular spot at the back part of the library (that no one knows of, perfect for distraction-free work) and settles his bag and things on the table.

he turned around, leaving the table, and headed over to a nearby section of the library where the book he needed was. scanning the books on the shelves, minhee took his time looking for that certain psychology book he needed for the paper.

his eyes then fell on the spine of the book he was looking for. “there you are.” he mumbled as he took the book and slid it away from the shelf.

“boo!” just as the book was out of the shelf, you appeared behind it and gave minhee a scare. “surprise!”

minhee’s expression remained flat and undisturbed. “nice try, y/n. but nope,” minhee shook his head and shrugged. “not enough shock factor.”

a pout appeared on your face as you sulkily retreated and made your way around the shelf, meeting up with minhee. “i thought i almost had you.”

“try better next time. you can do it!” minhee cheered and ruffled your hair, obviously being sarcastic.

“you should say that to yourself, you haven’t been successful with your attempts too, you know!” you whined as you tagged along with minhee back to his table.

“at least mine made you flinch a little.” stopping to turn around, minhee pointed his book towards you as he raised a brow. “am i right, or am i right?”

“hmph, but that still doesn’t mean you’ve won our challenge.” you stuck out your tongue and walked past him.

just a few days ago, you and minhee agreed on a little game between the two of you— the first one to surprise the other and make them react wins! the only rule is that you must have to make the other person surprised enough that they would react largely, like screaming or jumping or making them scared speechless. flinching was okay though, the two of you agreed on that.

the winning prize is what drives both of you. winning the challenge meant that the other person will treat the winner to whatever food they wanted.

your feet shuffled over to the table you and minhee would always occupy, with minhee following right behind you. “so, what brings you here other than attempting to scare my soul out?” minhee casually asked as he took his seat.

you took the seat right across him, and laid your head on the wooden table. “nothing else other than that….i just knew you were coming here,” you looked up to face him. “and i miss you.”

minhee’s eyes focused on yours, and he stopped what he was doing to mirror your position on the table. “is my dear y/n being clingy to me right now?”

“and what if i am?”

minhee giggled, showing his dorky smile you love so much. “it makes you look cute. i like it.”

after hearing those words, you couldn’t control the smile gracing your lips. you like it when minhee’s like this, being so open with his thoughts and what he likes about you. it makes your heart melt in a soft and mushy way.

“alright,” minhee rose from the desk and went back to the book he was skimming. “if you’ll excuse me, i have a paper to do.”

“can i stay here? i promise i won’t bother you.” you put your hands together as a silent way of saying ‘please’.

“hm….and what if i said no?”

the bright expression you had dropped, your hands falling and you started pouting again. “i can’t believe you.” you said.

opposite your expression, minhee softly laughed at your sudden change in mood. “i’m kidding, of course you can stay.” he pinched your cheek as he replied.

slowly you started to smile again, gaining energy after minhee approved of you staying with him as he worked on his paper. meeting up with him for the first time today, you missed him a little more than usual.

“hey minhee, do you know that—“

“—you love me so much that your heart might burst out of your chest? yes, yes i do.”

it made you giggle at how he instantly knew what you were going to say. “aww, are we finishing each other’s sentences now?”

“you say this almost everyday, for multiple times too. of course i would have it memorized by now.” minhee gave your hair a ruffle as he replied, while you swung your legs under the desk with a sheepish smile.

in this secluded section of the library, no one else was staying here. and nobody plans on settling here anytime soon. minhee loved working alone, without anyone there to bother and distract him.

but you were an obvious exception.

as you continued to watch minhee read the book, you slowly started to feel your heart flutter. or is it melting? or both? you didn’t know, but what you did know is that you truly felt happy at that moment now that you’re in a relationship with the man in front of you.

a big yawn escaped your lips as you lazily dragged your feet along the sidewalk. you spent all night trying to study for an exam you had today, with the help of minhee’s reviewer that he gave to you the day before. honestly, he’s a gift sent from the gods. without that reviewer? there’s a high chance you’ll just be staring at the exam paper later, and that your score will come crashing to the ground.

just a few steps away, you were nearing the school gate. it was still quite early, two or three students were on their way as well walking to the school. you weren’t always this early, but you thought that you needed some extra time to study before the exam just to make sure.

you were about to go through the gate, enter the school premises, but someone jumped from the side to give you a surprise. “y/n!!” you halted in place. “surprise!”

minhee appeared in front of you, giving you a wide smile and his hands in the air. meanwhile, you burst out laughing. “you think i would get surprised from that?”

a frown replaced minhee’s grin. “well, it’s worth a shot. you were sleepy so i thought i should take advantage of that,” minhee went to your side. “you know, much easier to scare.”

“oh i’m not that easy to surprise, minhee. try again next time!” you patted his back, trying to sound sarcastic. minhee rolled his eyes at you in response.

the two of you headed inside the school building, and minhee dropped you off first at your classroom. “you can return the reviewer later after classes. good luck, y/n.” minhee gave a few pats to your head, the act making you soft.

“thanks, minhee. you’re honestly a lifesaver.” you replied.

“well, what would you do without me?” he pinched both of your cheeks playfully. a soft laugh escaped your lips, grabbing his hands and putting them down from your face.

“okay, i better get studying now.” you swung his arms around. “i’ll see you later!”

“alright,” minhee then gave a small peck to your forehead. “you better ace that test, i worked hard on that reviewer you know.”

a blush grew on your face as you put your hand on where minhee kissed you. “yeah….i-i’ll do my best.”

minhee let out a laugh at how flustered you became, and you hit his arm in return. being all clingy was one thing, but the little forehead kisses were something you were still not used to getting from him.

and with that, minhee gave you one last pat on the head and left.

on the way to his classroom just down the hall, an idea popped into minhee’s head.

‘ah, that’d be a good idea. i’ll definitely win with this.’

classes just ended, and you quickly put your things in your bag to run over to minhee’s classroom. thankfully most of the students were heading out, so you were able to camouflage with the swarm of people in the hallway.

you were about to do another attempt by surprising minhee just as he’s about to leave the room. you needed to pass by his classroom’s window though, so you tried your best to blend in with the other students walking.

minhee, on the other hand, just finished writing down his lecture notes to study later. he closed his notebook and started putting his stuff into his bag.

he turned to the window to see the numerous students walking down the hall to go home, but his sharp eyes caught the sight of you. a grin formed on his lips, zipping his bag closed and standing up from his seat.

as you hid behind the corner by the entrance to the room, you planned out how you were going to surprise him. you started chuckling at the ideas popping into your mind, hoping that this time you’ll finally be able to win.

minutes pass and minhee hasn’t left the room. the volume of students in the hall started to lessen, and you were growing a little impatient.

‘where is he?’, you thought. you slowly started to relax as you waited for minhee to get out of the room. ‘he sure is taking his time there.’

“alright, see you tomorrow!” you heard minhee’s voice ring from the room. your relaxed demeanor quickly vanished as you got yourself ready to give minhee a big scare.

“finally,” you mumbled. “i’m getting you this time.”

you waited as the anticipation started to grow inside you. footsteps were heard and you assumed it to be minhee’s. you stayed as quiet as you possibly could to not let him notice that someone’s just outside the room, ready to scare him.

the shuffling was getting closer, and as it did the more your heart started to beat out of excitement. ‘come on,’ you pleaded. ‘hurry up, minhee.’

but it suddenly stopped. you couldn’t hear anything, it’s like the footsteps just vanished.

“huh?” you grew puzzled, so you decided to peek through the corner—

“hey, y/n!” minhee suddenly appeared in front of you, and leaned forward,

to give you a soft kiss on the lips.

your eyes grew as wide as they could, the amount of shock was evident in them. as if it was magic, the kiss gave you a freezing spell. you were so frozen, even when minhee pulled away you were still in the same position when he gave you the kiss.

minhee raised an eyebrow and waved his hand in front of your face. “uh, y/n, you there? you still good?”

you were still clearly in shock, and you raised your hand to touch your lips. “you….kissed me.” you said softly, still as frozen as you were.

minhee started to grin, thinking this is entertaining for him. “yeah, i did. did you like it?”

after realizing what happened, your face started to heat up into a bright red. snapping out of your daze, you looked at minhee straight in the eyes. “y-you kissed me!” you repeated your words, still in disbelief. “that was the first time you ever kissed me….my f-first kiss!” you continued to be a blushing mess, and minhee burst into a laugh at how flustered you are.

“what? am i not allowed to give you a kiss on the lips?”

“no! yes! i mean...” you stumbled on your words, your head still dizzy from what happened.

minhee was clearly enjoying this, enjoying how much of a mess you’re becoming in front of him. “come on, you’re treating me today.” he said as he took the backpack you were wearing and slung it along with his bag.

“huh? what for?”

“well, clearly i won the challenge right?”

“challenge?”

“yeah. you know, the surprise challenge we both set?” minhee raised his eyebrows at you. “don’t back out on me now, y/n.”

your head was still fuzzy from what happened, taking the time to fully comprehend that you actually lost the challenge you were so set on winning. “so that was your plan all along…” the string of words left your mouth instead of staying in your head like it was supposed to.

with minhee hearing those words he nodded and gave a pat to your head. he proceeded to walk to the stairs at the end of the hall.

“kang minhee!” you exclaimed after a few seconds, minhee being steps away from you already. your voice was laced with frustration and a bit of whining. “i hate you!”

a wholehearted laugh escaped minhee’s lips, clearly not getting the words that slipped out of your mouth. “i love you too, y/n! now come on, i’m hungry.” he gestured for you to come to his side, opening his arms as an invite for a hug.

despite your boiling anger towards minhee and how he won the challenge through a surprise kiss, you still couldn’t resist running over to his side and embracing him like you didn’t just wanted to punch him straight in the gut.

just as you were preparing to enter a comfortable state of sleep, a series of rhythmic knocks had jolted your eyes back open and your body up. at first your mind raced, conjuring up the worst case scenario of who could be on the other side of your window, delivering those knocks. a murderer … oh god, it’s my time to go isn’t it … these thoughts continued for a few more seconds until the knocks came again. it was then you realized that a murderer would not be likely to knock at a victim’s window, and your panic subsided. grabbing the pair of shorts that you’d kicked off when you hopped into bed, you walked over to the window with only slight apprehension. you twisted the handle that opened the blinds to be greeted by the sight of your neighborhood ‘bad boy’, park serim. more recently, serim had become infatuated with you. he’d follow you around school and offer to carry your books or walk you home (which was not very ‘bad-boy-like’ of him, you’d noticed) and you just couldn’t understand why; there was nothing inherently special about you.

[6:55 pm] Opening the door to the gymnasium, you were met by loud cheers and the sound of basketballs bouncing against the floor. Looking around the room, you spotted the two teams warming up, dribbling around on the field and aiming the balls to the tall hoops on each side.

You walked over to your usual spot on the bleachers, on the bottom row next to your friends who were waving at you - but your eyes were glued to the field, looking for someone. And suddenly, there, shooting a three-pointer was Minhee. You smiled almost instinctively at the mere sight of him, a few drips of sweat running down his neck and his shirt clinging onto his body, but managed to tear your eyes from him to greet Hyeongjun and Woobin who were now laughing at how immersed you were in the game that hadn’t even started yet.

But just a few seconds later, Minhee was jogging over to where you were now sat. You cocked an eyebrow at him, confused at what he was doing, but he signaled with his hand for you to come closer, which you did. There was a little height difference as the bleachers were a bit over the ground, meaning that you were taller than Minhee for the first time ever.

“What are you doing? You need to warm up,” you hummed at him.

“Give me a kiss!” he started, and you chuckled. “It’s for...” He paused, looking like he was searching for the right words. “good luck.”

You shook your head, laughing lowly. “Are you serious?” He nodded quickly. “You’ve never needed it before!”

“Please?” He pouted, clasping his hands together in front of him as if he was begging you. You rolled your eyes but smiled, before crouching down to him, cupping his cheek in your hand and attaching your lips onto his in a sweet kiss.

You had to pull away from him the moment you heard hollers - not only from your friends next to you, but pretty much the entire hall. There were screams of “you go Minhee” and “get a room!”, making your cheeks grow hot as you stood up straight again, moving back to your seat. He looked up at you one more time, pointing at you and yelling “I’ll win this for you!”. You smiled and blew a kiss to him before he turned his back on you, running off to his team again - and that’s when your eyes landed on his coach, standing on the side of the field and shaking his head at your boyfriend.

"Don't flatter yourself too much. I don't want an inflated boyfriend. So, how is Jeju so far?" Y/N asked, smiling at her boyfriend.

"I'll take you here one day, maybe if I wanted to propose. Who knows?" his words warmed her heart as her blushing cheeks.

"You want to marry me. I'll be pleased to have such a handsome husband one day," Y/N giggled, still blushing.

allen definitely gets slightly flustered at how cute you look when you’re blushing. it never fails to make him giggle, when you timidly hold out your hand for him to hold, while you’re trying not to make eye contact with him. i feel like hyeongjun would get a bit blushy at how timid you are to initiate any sort of affection with him, at the beginning of your relationship. however, i think that he might start to tease you about it, further into the relationship. but he’d still giggle all of the time. because you’re shy, seongmin would be too. both of your faces would look like they’re about to explode, because the two of you are blushing like crazy. he’d probably hide his face in the crook of your neck or something. this might push you to become less shy in the future. who knows?

every time serim would see you getting super shy, he would just wrap his strong arms around you, so no one could see your beet red face. we all know that if the other members saw their leader’s s/o being shy, they would tease the hell out both of you. he would also kiss the crown of your head, which would probably make you feel more embarrassed lmao. woobin would be pretty much the same. but if you were holding hands, and he saw you going red, he’d pull you into him by the hand he’s holding. and he’d whisper encouraging words into you ear too, like “it’s okay baby, no one’s looking. there’s no need to get embarrassed, silly hehe.”
