How does Blockchain support Crowdfunding?
Through crowdfunding, a large number of people can contribute small amounts of money to a project or commercial venture. In recent years, it has become more and more popular as a way for entrepreneurs to raise money without going through traditional channels like banks or venture capitalists. Crowdfunding clone script has changed into a new paradigm that offers a more secure and transparent way to raise money since the introduction of blockchain technology. We'll look at what crowdfunding is and how it works with blockchain technology in this post.
What Does Blockchain Technology's Crowdfunding Mean?
Crowdfunding with blockchain technology involves raising funds through a decentralized network using digital tokens or cryptocurrencies. Using blockchain technology, a distributed ledger keeps track of every transaction and verifies it across several network nodes. This provides an open and secure crowdsourcing platform.
In a blockchain-based crowdfunding campaign, the entrepreneur creates a smart contract that outlines the terms of the fundraising arrangement. After then, this smart contract is posted on the blockchain for potential investors to view. Investors can then use digital tokens or bitcoin to fund the campaign, and the blockchain logs their contributions.
When the financing goal is reached, the smart contract automatically fulfills its end of the bargain and gives the business owner the money. This provides a more efficient and transparent way to raise money and eliminates the need for middlemen.
Crowdfunding is a popular way for business owners to raise money for their ventures. However, there are a number of disadvantages to the traditional crowdfunding approach, such as high costs, geographical restrictions, and a lack of transparency. In this case, blockchain technology may offer a more secure and efficient way to raise money.
All transactions are permanently and irrevocably recorded on a decentralized ledger driven by blockchain technology. It is the ideal platform for crowdfunding because of its many features. Some ways that blockchain aids in crowdfunding are as follows:
Transparency: One of the key advantages of using blockchain technology for crowdfunding is transparency. Every transaction on the blockchain is recorded and verified by a number of network nodes. By producing an unalterable and transparent record of every transaction, this guarantees that there is no fraudulent activity.
Lower Fees: The substantial service fees associated with traditional crowdfunding platforms may limit the amount of capital that companies can obtain. On the other hand, blockchain-based crowdfunding systems eliminate the need for middlemen by utilizing peer-to-peer networks. Businesses may retain a larger portion of the funds they raise due to the resulting lower costs.
Global Reach: Due to jurisdictional limitations that occasionally restrict traditional crowdfunding sites, entrepreneurs find it difficult to reach a global audience. On the other hand, decentralized networks power blockchain-based crowdfunding platforms, which give entrepreneurs unrestricted access to a global audience.
Smart Contracts: Another component of blockchain technology that can be exploited is smart contracts, which are self-executing agreements that automatically carry out the provisions of an agreement when certain conditions are met. By automating the crowdfunding process and ensuring that funds are only disbursed to the business owner upon the achievement of specific milestones, smart contracts can be deployed.
Tokenization: Blockchain technology can be used to establish digital tokens that represent ownership of a company or project. It is possible to raise funds by using these tokens in an Initial Coin Offering (ICO). Business owners can make money quickly and efficiently without using traditional middlemen by using initial coin offerings (ICOs).
Advantages:
Security: High levels of security are offered by blockchain technology, which guards against fraud and hacking and guarantees the secure movement of money.
Speed: Blockchain-based crowdfunding initiatives may be started fast, allowing business owners to raise money more effectively.
Diversity: Blockchain-based crowdfunding gives small investors the chance to fund initiatives they support, fostering a more inclusive and diversified investment ecosystem.
Innovation: Because blockchain technology is always developing, new and creative crowdfunding sites are appearing.
Low minimum investment: Due to their frequently modest minimum commitment requirements, blockchain-based crowdfunding platforms enable small investors to take advantage of investment possibilities that were previously unattainable.
Disadvantages:
Lack of regulation: Because blockchain crowdfunding is still in its infancy, there is no governmental monitoring, which could put investors at greater risk.
Volatility: Due to their frequent volatility, cryptocurrencies and digital tokens put investors at greater risk than more conventional assets.
Lack of transparency: Despite the openness offered by blockchain technology, some crowdfunding initiatives might not provide enough details about the underlying business or project, putting investors at danger of backing a shoddy or fraudulent endeavor.
Limited liquidity: Some digital tokens may be hard to sell or trade, which results in a lack of liquidity even though tokenization gives investors a more liquid asset.
Crowding out: Blockchain-based crowdfunding could crowd out conventional investment channels, making it harder for business owners who are unfamiliar with or unable to use blockchain-based crowdfunding platforms to obtain cash.
Last but not least, blockchain technology offers a number of advantages for crowdfunding software solution, including tokenization, smart contracts, transparency, reduced costs, and worldwide access. These benefits are driving the creation of innovative, new blockchain-based crowdfunding platforms. We might expect increasingly effective and efficient crowdfunding methods that will help investors and entrepreneurs alike as technology develops.

lesbian timeloop adventure??? that sounds amazing???? can you share any details?
Yeah, it's a movie called Again Again, it was written and directed by my friend Mia Moore Marchant! It's about a woman called Aggie who gets stuck in a timeloop for 10 years, gets out, and then the movie starts! So lots of themes about trauma and coming out and maladaptive coping mechanisms. I play a girl called Naomi who Aggie hooked up with a lot during the loop, but now that's she's out Aggie only has one chance to make it work between us!
The whole thing was shot independently on a crowdfunded microbudget in 2023 in Mia's hometown of Aberdeen, WA, including some bits that were filmed in her Mom's driveway. I acted in it for free because I liked the script and the idea so much, and I wanted to support Mia! Her vision for the film is incredible: she wanted it to be a 90s mumblecore flick but with trans girls - we never got to be a part of that era of cinema because the industry was so discriminatory (still is), so she wanted to put us back into the history we were excluded from.
Filming was one of the most wholesome and lovely experiences I've ever had; it was genuinely an honour to be a part of. I cried when I left. And Bugs' cooking on set is still the best on-set catering I've ever had. Immediately after we wrapped on my scenes I got on a plane and went straight to Warner Brothers studios in the UK to shoot House of the Dragon, so that was a wild summer!
The film is finished; it hasn't been released yet because Mia is searching for distribution partners to ensure it reaches the widest possible audience.

Following the announcement of “Digimon Adventure Beyond” premiering in Digimon Con 2025, new details about the project have been revealed.
A crowdfunding campaign will begin from January 20th for putting large advertisements within Tokyo for one week in March.
In relation to this, a rough draft of the advertisement illustration featuring Taichi and Yamato in their previously teased designs, along with Agumon and Gabumon, has been released. The illustration was drawn by Rie Nishimura, character designer for this project.
More details about the crowdfunding, what it entails and the reward system has been summarised by With The Will.
An easter egg here is that since the rewards include a signed script copy by cast members Natsuki Hanae, Yoshimasa Hosoya, Chika Sakamoto and Mayumi Yamaguchi, we now have confirmation that along with the video being set to the song Brave Heart, it will feature scenes with dialogues as well.
But most importantly,
Agumon and Gabumon will be back 🧡💙

Studio execs love plausible sentence generators because they have a workflow that looks exactly like a writer-exec dynamic, only without any eye-rolling at the stupid “notes” the exec gives the writer.
All an exec wants is to bark out “Hey, nerd, make me another E.T., except make the hero a dog, and set it on Mars.” After the writer faithfully produces this script, the exec can say, “OK, put put a love interest in the second act, and give me a big gunfight at the climax,” and the writer dutifully makes the changes.
This is exactly how prompting an LLM works.
A writer and a studio exec are lost in the desert, dying of thirst.
Just as they are about to perish, they come upon an oasis, with a cool sparkling pool of water.
The writer drops to their knees and thanks the fates for saving their lives.
But then, the studio exec unzips his pants, pulls out his cock and starts pissing in the water.
“What the fuck are you doing?” the writer demands.
“Don’t worry,” the exec says, “I’m making it better.”

Sam Rae is the guest performer in the pilot episode, and it seems like there will be additional guests in future episodes.
THIS FRIDAY, 12th July At 2:00 pm BST, the pilot episode will be released on social media. At 6:30 pm BST, there will be a crowdfunding launch stream on TheBrothersMeredith Twitch channel.
Not many details have been released so far, but the show will feature a lot of English folklore. The main cast consists of two goblins, an elf, a human, and a poltergeist.
GOBLINS is being created independently from Rusty Quill. But I will be tagging RQ anyways because it's relevant to RQ fans, dangit.

Eeler's Choice S2 Crowdfund and TTRPG!
Hello Eel Enthusiasts. I have two announcements for you.
1, Lou and I have been working with Gabriel Robinson (who you may know from The Silt Verses RPG and Trophy, to create a brand new TTRPG set in the Eeler's Choice Universe.
The Eeler’s Choice RPG is a game of maritime folk horror and ecological threats, where hardworking folk build their lives along the coast, and the ocean never gives back what it takes… unchanged.
In this game, a group of residents of the coastal town of Eskmouth are serving their year of community service in the Watch, as all folk of Eskmouth do. Each comes from a different background, bringing their unique skills to respond to situations which threaten the livelihood of the town’s residents.
The Watch go about their lives in Eskmouth, tackling local problems and aiding the community as best as they can by pooling their resources and skills. But something else threatens the city and way of life as most folk know it – a creeping tide of sickness, pollution and strange aquatic mutations. The Watch will soon realize this is caused by the sinister forces of unregulated industry, and must ultimately confront the corrupt organization responsible, all the while maintaining the lives they’ve built in Eskmouth.
Gabriel and I sat down to discuss Game design as well as the Eeler's TTRPG in an interview you can find here
"This all sounds fantastic. How can I play this game?" I hear you cry.
Well, the full game is still some time away from release. But there is one way you can get access to an early access playtest version.
By donating to our crowdfund! If we reach our first stretch goal of $10,000, all backers will receive an early access copy of the game, as well as the opportunity to provide feedback that may be incorporated into the final game when it is released.
That brings us to point number 2,
2. The Eeler's Choice Season 2 Crowdfund!
Our prelaunch page is live now. You can sign up to be notified when we launch on May 1, 2025.
We have all kinds of great perks in store, including exclusive merch items, workshops, signed and annotated scripts, and more. If you loved season 1 and can't wait to see us delve even deeper into the waters of Eskmouth, you won't want to miss this.
Season 2 will have new characters, new locations, and new mysteries. We cannot wait to bring it to you, but we need your help to make it possible. So if you can spare a dollar or ten, that gets us that much closer to being able to pay our cast and crew the fair rate they deserve.
If you can't donate at this time, that's okay! You can help us by sharing this crowdfund with your friends and family. Eeler's is an indie project without an advertising budget. We can only spread through word of mouth. Every share makes a difference.
Thank you!
Daisy

As you may recall, I got the Linux Mint distro for my old netbook, which has 250 GB HDD, 2 GB of RAM, and the Intel Atom N455 (1.66 GHz). This netbook has always been cheap and terrible but I find myself repeatedly needing to access a Not-Phone for various purposes in very strange places and hey, the money's been spent, I can just use this thing, right?
Anyway, Linux Mint has been a terrible idea. 2 GB of RAM is on its low end and DAMN do I feel it. The internet hurts. Word processing hurts. Manuskript hurts. Obviously, this means I chose the wrong distro.
But looking at other low-end distros is terrifying. They're for more advanced users and my Linux know-how is shit. xfce and LxQT expect me to know what I'm doing. I need to get this fixed up in a few days and what if it doesn't work for what I need?
My goal is to use spreadsheets and word processors, Manuskript, and the internet. I'm going to install some further add-ons to Firefox to disable scripts etc. I don't think my Internet experience will ever be stellar, but I would like to access pages within you know. a minute or two.
Another possibility is that I could buy a laptop before Our Wise White Leader uberfucks our collective shit. If I do that I'll have to act fast. Like today fast. Shit is selling like hotcakes for exactly the reasons you can imagine.
At one point I looked up the Macbook Pro, which frankly is one of the best products for graphic design, and it's like. what was I THINKING. I am unemployed. Where am I gonna get money like that
I thought about trying to crowdfund but that just seems... idk. It feels like a want and not a need. It's just that I keep having to leave my desktops behind so often, which has never historically been a problem until literally the last two years. Why does this KEEP HAPPENING. Should I lean into it and just admit I'm homeless
Do you guys have any opinions
should I just throw myself into a pit of lions perhaps

Hello! I was just wondering if the release window for episode one of Lackadaisy is still 2024? And should we expect the first mini-episode in the spring?
We're aiming to meet those deadlines, but I don't want to put our crew through crunch to do it. So if there's a delay, expect that to be why. We go as fast as budget and health allow, but we've done a LOT of preliminary work. Pretty much since the crowdfund money dropped into Iron Circus's accounts we've been full steam ahead on visual development and pre-production besides releasing test shorts.
That said, you can anticipate something fresh and substantial....soon-ish. We'll see just how substantial things get after that. Again, it really depends on budget and our crew's well being. And the more budget we're able to add to thanks to our shop and book releases, the more we can bolster existing crew and supporting staff. The line between our ongoing shop sales and that is as direct as a production can get.
We're also trying to fund additional shorts to give our crew more to do, so if you want to add to that and get more fun scripts with lore and comedy, then you can donate to Tracy's patreon. That extra stuff is paid for thanks to that ongoing regular support. And I'd hate to let these goofy scripts Tracy, Dave, and I cooked up gather dust on the shelf ;3

DEV LOG: 2024 Recap
Helloooo everyone!
This year genuinely flew past us. As a studio, we had our ups-and-many-downs, but we're feeling more positive going into 2025. Let's start with what we got done this year before moving onto our plans for the future! :)
⭐Released Trouble Comes Twice: Bonus Stories!

Feels like we released this ages ago, but it hasn't even been a year yet! Back in April, we released the first (and only) public DLC for Trouble Comes Twice. For us, Bonus Stories was a satisfying goodbye to these characters after spending years with them; we hope that players who decided to give the DLC a chance feel the same.
It'll always be a bit bittersweet moving on from a project you've worked on for so long and dedicated so much towards. There's always going to be what-ifs, but we're mostly just proud of what we did achieve and kind of relieved we made it to the finish line haha. If you're interested in reading more about our experience working on Trouble Comes Twice and what we learned, do check out this post mortem we wrote! We hope it offers some insight for players who might be curious and other vn devs who'd like another dev's take.
⭐A tumultuous start for our next visual novel Burn the Midnight Oil
Since the end of 2023, we've worked on and off on our next visual novel Burn the Midnight Oil. The plan was to launch a Kickstarter campaign and demo before the end of 2024 - since it's now Dec and that never happened, you can imagine things did not go as planned ahah... Unfortunately, we experienced several setbacks, one of the biggest being that our lead artist had to leave the project some months ago due to health issues.
It took us a minute to find the right person to step in and take over the character art, but we recently welcomed a new lead artist whom we're incredibly excited to be working with!
So, where does the project stand right now?
Our new character artist is chipping away at the sprites and CGs for the game, which are the main assets we're still missing to finish the demo.
Script is written, edited and coded in
BGs are completed and the UI is close to completed
We're planning to tackle the soundtrack in the coming months, but our composer BellKallengar has already finished an amazing main menu theme! We can't wait for you to hear it.
For our own sanity and the expectations of our players, we're not making any promises or guesses on when you can expect the demo, Kickstarter, or official announcement until we know for certain. The only thing we can confidently confirm is that it's coming in 2025 (unless we're struck by the worst bad luck ever).
We're going to resume regular monthly updates when the game has been announced, but until then, we're sticking o quarterly updates instead so the next one would be in March. (Unless we manage to announce the game before that! A dev can dream.)
⭐PLANS FOR 2025
There's only one concrete plan - officially announcing Burn the Midnight Oil, releasing the Kickstarter demo, and launching our crowdfunding campaign! Melli and I already finished the demo script earlier this year, so we've been working on outlining (and writing) the routes for the full game. We hope to make as much progress as possible on that before the Kickstarter launches. Hopefully, that should save us a lot of time in the long run.
We hope everyone's having a fantastic holiday season! See you all in the new year! 🥂

Are you going to actually make a sherlock holmes adaptation or are you still thinking about it?
God, I hope so! It's been my dream since I was a teenager and first became a fan of the books. I studied prose fiction in college, not screenwriting, but I've always loved movies and TV and it's always been a dream of mine to get into screenwriting. And when I realized that in nearly a century and a half, no one had EVER made a TV adaptation of Sherlock Holmes where they're explicitly gay, I knew that if I ever got the chance, I'd make it happen.
For those who haven't seen my post about it, basically my concept is this: an adaptation of the canon stories that centers Watson and his role as an unreliable narrator. His narration (the actual text of the canon) would frequently contrast with what's happening onscreen.
Of course, making a TV show is insanely expensive. And the TV industry is a mess these days. If I had the funds, I'd bankroll the project myself and just do it as an indie show, but TV shows cost at least a few million at the LOW end - ESPECIALLY if you're filming a period drama (the costumes, sets, props, etc. will rack up real quick).
I've considered going a different, less expensive route, like doing an audiodrama or a stage play, but either of those options requires sacrificing a large part of my vision. Right now, my hope is that eventually I can scrounge up enough money and resources to put together a pilot episode and then maybe crowdfund the rest. But even that is a massive undertaking, and probably won't come to fruition for at least a few years, if not longer.
So for now I'm going to keep writing the scripts, mostly just for fun. Hopefully I'll be able to find other people to join me in this project as it grows and eventually I'll have enough resources to put together a pilot episode! But I'll keep sharing bits of my scripts if people want to see them :)
