After having rough two weeks and this one is the third, I‘m happy that I could draw a little bit in between. Struggling with my art due to RL and kind of failing in doing the coloring I wanted, I tried something different – an almost flat coloring and think that it features my crosshatching and linework and I thought it fits for the more detailed drawn close up ☺️ What do you think? 🫶

For a moment Eo only stared at the two shaggy clones, feeling after that strange ask a bit surreal standing with them in the flashes of the disco light dressed like this. The Mikkian wasn’t sure if the music had played a joke on her tendrils, or if it was eventually time to sober up a bit. 

„Commander Mayday asks for what?“, she shouted over the noise and tried to reach taller up to the towering bearded clones. So unfair! One time she could wear heels to be not that tiny between all of them anymore and now those rugged divas looked down to her from their own heeled hights!

Their eyes widened a bit and both of them seem to shrink, clearly not used to a Mikkian trying to understand them better with curling tendrils that played a bit nearer to their faces. Hehe! Poor men. Eo laughed „Sorry, guys. Stop mumbling into your beards, you’re allowed to shout at me, troopers!“

The men exchanged a short look, then the right one formed a funnel with his hands to answer and Eo almost lost it as he looked a bit desperate not seeing ears where to shout at. „Your faaan, Commander!“ Then they looked again at her like too big and bearded schoolboys.

„For what does Commander Mayday need my fan?“, she yelled back irritated but also amused, seeing them blushing and eyeing nervously at the too close tendrils. „For some dramatic purpose, Ma’am – I mean… Commader, Sir“, the other one answered and Eo looked right at the very second to him to catch him ripping his eyes up to her face from a clearly lower point. She grinned teethy and one of her tendrils flicked only an inch away from his beard.

She decided to release the sweating men, only helping their Commander with whatever kind of shenanigans, that most likely have something to do with a certain gorgeous Mando leaning at the wall, waiting for her drink.

With a dramatic slap Eo opened the fan, enjoyed how the broad shouldered guys winced like one person and with an elegant twist into her velvet sleeved hand she closed and handed it to them in one move.

„Tell Commander Mayday, that I want this back in exactly this state, troopers. Do you copy?“

Clones in heels jumping in attention is nothing but fun, Eo thought by herself, trying to do a strict face and failing with the need to smirk.

The “Flirtation Mask” Wars, Round…4?

Commander Mayday seems to be distracted with some sort of weird side quest, and Jedi Padawan + Wingwoman-Extrordinare Eo has “accidentally” given Archer a double drink (though it looks like she’s switched to tea now). Gregor’s been subtly trying to attract their attention, and osik’s about to get real.

Even during 79's GAR Goth Night, the power of the flirtation mask is strong! Archer and Gregor engage in a time-honoured, traditional battle where the flirtatious vibes of glowing HUDs are their greatest weapons.

Gregor, however, has a secondary weapon at the ready if Archer begins to gain the upper hand. His sparkling shebs are being held in reserve just in case, though it looks like the Twi'lek at the bar might still be side-eyeing the sparkly display and preparing an attack of her own!

Who will gain the victory in this intense battle? What can Archer do to even the odds in the face of those glittery glutes? What are the rules of engagement? How does this even end (low batteries?)?

Just that they shouldn’t be forced to. Anyway, remember Lucy?? Lucy who rode to battle in The Horse and His Boy?? Lucy who fought as an archer?? “But Susan didn’t—" Yeah. Because she didn’t want to. No one was forcing her not to fight. She had free will to fight or to not fight, and she chose not to because she didn’t want to, not because a man made her stay home.

“He punished Susan for growing up—" S i g h. This is the one I see the most often. “He did Susan dirty” “he made her suffer because she liked lipstick” “etc etc blah blah blah” First of all Narnia is a children’s book series. For CS Lewis to delve into why Susan forgot Narnia, talk about her dealing with the death of her entire family, discuss her grief, and write about her eventual return to Narnia (more on that in a second), it would’ve made for a pretty dark and heavy children’s book, and Lewis said that he didn’t think that was something he wanted to write. But he also encouraged people to finish Susan’s story themselves, and said she might eventually make her own way back to Narnia. Not only this, but Susan’s name means lily, and the waters around Aslan’s country are covered in lilies. Coincidence? I think not. I think it symbolizes she was going to go back. (Especially considering I think Lewis was very careful in choosing each of the Pevensie’s names, since they all relate to their character).

Also, Lewis did not condemn Susan simply for growing up and liking makeup and clothing and boys. If so why would he have written about Aravis and Shasta/Cor, or Caspian and Liliandil? Why would he have written about Susan and Lucy being beautiful and having many suitors? So no, he wasn’t condemning her for that, and in fact he wasn’t condemning her at all. It’s extremely probable that her family’s death would have brought Susan back to her senses. Because here’s the thing: she forgot. She threw herself so much into the world and approval and convinced herself that her life as a queen and her acquaintance with Aslan was all a silly game they played as children, that it wasn’t real. But, she very well could remember again, and I 1000% believe she did.

“All his female characters were weak and did nothing—" My friend. Lucy Pevensie was a female. She discovered Narnia. It was because of her. Her siblings would never have found it without her. Lucy is one of THE most important characters in the entire series. And her title? The Valiant. Lucy’s very title as queen denoted her bravery and fortitude without one even knowing her. As for Susan, she was not any weaker for being “The Gentle.” I would say gentleness is honestly one of the strongest traits a person can have, because it takes a lot to live and be gentle. Also remember Aravis? A major character in The Horse and His Boy and future wife of Shasta, Aravis literally nearly killed herself to escape an arranged marriage. She was not someone to be dictated to; she made her own choices and escaped rather than submitting. And in the end, she’s still fiery, just a little more humble and with less of a chip on her shoulder. Then there’s Polly, who is the more logical person in The Magician’s Nephew and tries to stop Digory from ringing the bell that wakes the White Witch. A boy causes her to awaken, not a girl. It was Digory’s fault she woke up, not Polly’s!!

Also, Peter and Edmund do not ignore their sisters because they’re girls. They listen to what they have to say and speak to them as equals. They don’t forbid them from fighting; Susan chooses not to, but Lucy goes straight into the heart of the battle with them! So don’t even say Lewis made his female characters weak. They were the backbone of much of the series and without them much of the plot would never have happened!!

So don’t you ever say to me that CS Lewis was misogynistic because it’s the furthest thing from the truth

OH my god I would love to.

The fun thing about CdS ships is you can honestly do whatever you want. This is true for all shipping, but especially for characters that often come from abstract or fluid source material and whose characterization can vary from artist to artist and even performance to performance. Shows and characters develop and change over time in a way you don't get with any other media, even traditional theatre, because circus specifically allows for that kind of space. I wish there were more Cirque fanworks for exactly this reason - I love the variation and am always interested in other writers' takes on characters. I also adore "this is so in-character" compliments because that means I've won someone over to my interpretation even when they might have seen an entirely different performance to mine.

I'm personally shipping the Counselor's Son from Ka with the Twin Sister, Chief Archer's Daughter, and occasionally the Twin Brother. If we're using AO3 as our yardstick like we might in a traditional fandom, CS/TS the most popular ship. But CdS isn't a traditional fandom. People draw and discuss much more often than they write, different shows attract different people, and different people can take away very different things from the same shows and characters. Some other ships I've seen supported or discussed over the years include:

Basically CdS shippers take whoever they think has chemistry or even just looks good together, smashes them together, and goes with it. There are truly no rules. I'm personally drawn to Ka shipping the most because that show has the most tangible plot. It lends itself to more traditional storytelling than other shows naturally do, and that's the medium I work best in.

Basically pick your faves and dive in!

GEPARD WHY ARE YOU THICCCC (WITH 4 Cs) WITH HP!?! Team Pretty Privilege is all E1, aside from Robin, so maybe those were the last 2000 (read: 1140)points that are missing from side A. Only Aven has his Sig Lightcone; tried Topaz lightcone on him and that actually tanked their damage.

The fact that main DPS Blade with Castorice Sub-DPS did exactly the same as Phanion sustainless makes me wonder where my skill issue is here. Hoolay does have a mechanic where he hurts himself, but that didn't trigger on my Phanion run at all.

Who is the 3rd buff even for? 1st is DOT and 2nd is for Phanion, Anaxa, and Archer if you're E1 that sorta frisky.

This round of Pure Fiction is gonna annoy me just because I couldn't max either side of 4th stage. At least without getting sweaty and not getting fucked over on relics for once.

Hysilens is tempting to get. Cerydra needs to be more than a Pie-non buff bot (with Anaxa and Archer getting some synergy) to even entertain getting her.

If you were ever to reintroduce archer and the party crashers in ROF or in your other stories how would you do it?

That's a great question—Hmm. For ROF. I think they'd be more equipped to deal with the issue since the tribes would have experience with hiding from/protecting from threats due to Branch's intervention and work out similarly to how it did in TTBGO.

For CS, I think if they came across Poppy & Rock trolls first, they wouldn't stand a chance to be a threat and likely would just vibe there since the Rock Tribe is pretty similar to Party Crashers

If they met Barb & Pop Trolls, I think they'd be toast LMFAO
