The post-graduation job hunt has gotten so incredibly demoralizing. Like, I just want something that pays okay, is full-time, and has at least some benefits, but at this point I've already applied most of the places that fit the bill -- and that's checking 4 or 5 different job boards and some individual employers' pages, too -- and most of them appear to have just ghosted me. I knew it was dire out there but it's still something else to have to deal with the current state of things.

I've made an appointment to talk with someone at my college career center since they also work with recent alumni, but I really can't think of much else to do that I'm not already doing. I hate this.

the funniest meltdown ive ever had was in college when i got so overstimulated that i could Not speak, including over text. one of my friends was trying to talk me through it but i was solely using emojis because they were easier than trying to come up with words so he started using primarily emojis as well just to make things feel balanced. this was not the Most effective strategy... until. he tried to ask me "you okay?" but the way he chose to do that was by sending "👉🏼👌🏼❓" and i was so shocked by suddenly being asked if i was dtf that i was like WHAT???? WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY TO ME?????????? and thus was verbal again

Do people who say "Batman says no metas in Gotham" realise that metas include anyone with powers and super abilities, the vast majority of whom are civilians with no affiliation to superheroics or supervillainy. No metas in Gotham in reality would mean kicking out some random school teacher who in an accident suddenly developed the ability to teleport and mostly uses it to arrive to their school earlier and stay later for the kids. No metas in Gotham means forcibly removing an Amazon who is married to a local Gothamite. No metas in Gotham means an alien raised on Earth can't go to Gotham University without the Big Bad Bat showing up at their dorm room. No metas in Gotham mean existing meta characters from Gotham are awkwardly ignored or actively included just to be kicked out of their own city. No metas in Gotham means erasing the history of superheroes like Alan Scott and Dinah Drake who lived in and protected Gotham years before Batman arrived on the scene.

And no, jokes about how the Bats friends totally get a free pass under his seemingly totalitarian rule don't make it better. Having Duke around as the token 'good one' does not make it better. Not when its mere existence involves a 'hero' is systemically targeting a group based on immutable traits.

And if you're thinking that sounds dark that's because the whole fanon joke revolves around Batman being the kind of person who wants to keep an entire community people out of 'his' city because he believes their biology makes them an innate threat. That is horrifying. That has strong racist and xenophobic implications. That is high-key super villain behaviour. In fact, anti-meta crusaders are literally the villains of the recent Power Company books because it's a pretty clear allegory for real world bigotry.

If you want to keep this as a fanon trait for his character then you have to make it a really negative one. If you want to have it be a misunderstanding among the Justice League because he just wants no other heroes crime fighting there (never going to happen by the way) that means some members of the League are going to think he's an absolute racist asshole. I'm just saying if Oliver 'Batman is a fascist' Queen had this idea he'd be throwing hands with Bruce daily. If you want to explore it as a dark-Batman villain AU? That sounds cool actually, I'd read that tbh.

Bruce should've expected this. Damian had been very quiet the last couple of days. After all it's not everyday you see a black hair and blue eyed teenager popping up in popularity. But something about this specific black haired blue eyed teenager caught Damian's attention. Something that is never good. So Bruce took the liberty of bugging EVERYTHING. So that Bruce wouldn't be surprised but...

There are a million things he should have expected but, Now that he's here chasing that teenager he realizes two things. 1.) Nobody ever makes Damian go AWOL and 2.) Daniel Fenton looks striking like him. So Bruce did some "investigations" into the Fenton's history. History in Salem witch trials regarding Jack Fentonightingale. Ghost research in being self proclaimed "experts" in Ectobiology. And... DANIEL FENTON - ADOPTED

Jack and Maddie just got back from the school after hearing what happened. Assassins and Danny's apparent brother has come to "Take him home" whatever THEIR son interpreted that as must have meant nothing good. But when they opened the door to his room... Nothing empty. Glow in the dark stars? Gone. Space posters? Removed. Clothes? Missing. The room looks exactly like a guest bedroom.

So they went down to the basement and the site left them shocked. the basement looked normal. No portal, no weapons not even the various inventions that usually lay scattered around nor the patents and blueprints remained. Fenton Works seemed to just not exist anymore. Soon shouting came from up above recognizable voices Danny's friends.

"DANNY? BRO YOU HERE?" Tucker and Sam arrived later than Danny did. " Hey Tucker and Sam." Maddie said as she walked up from the basement "Was... Did you two see Danny by any chance?" "No, it's like Danny erased any and all reference of himself." Tucker said looking at the school student list. "Hey... you... guys seen Danny... yet?" Jazz said coming in haggard and out of breath.

Wes always loved his Aunt Lois, and wrote to her every week. Of course she noticed when the letters slowed down, coming in with weird stains Clark couldn’t identify. She could tell things were missing, and being redacted. She could tell he was trying to tell her something.

She noticed when the letters stopped. She contacted Clark and the league, but they couldn’t find anything, until she received a call from an unknown number. She picked it up.

“Aunt Lois, I need to be picked up, and I’m not alone. Also, can you tell your husband that the government is doing evil things, and the buildings on fire are not my fault? Also, did you know I was cursed? Because I found out just a few hours before I almost got cut open.
