Sure, simon knows price wouldnt do that. But knowing and feeling are two different things.

I have seen plenty of representation out there for people with abusive parents, and not much else.. so here’s some appreciation to the caregivers and little ones out there who:

- Have or had abusive siblings

- Have or had abusive grandparents

- Have or had abusive aunts or uncles

- Have or had abusive cousins

- Were or are abused by their younger sibling rather than their older sibling

- Have or had grown up in an abusive foster home

- Grew up with neither a mom or dad, so Mothers/Father’s Day activities in school felt alienating.

I personally have always lived with my grandmother. Remember that you are not alone.

Simon who accidentally upsets johnny, maybe spills water on a sketchbook or something idk. And it just, it sets Johnny off. He's had a horrible week, drills and work and chronic pain and now this?

He can't help it when his fists clench and his jaw sets, refusing to look at simon. "Seriously? I just- fuck- I cant-" he doesnt want to say anything he'll regret, but he genuinely feels like crying right now.

Simon lowkey freaks out, desperate to fix his mistake bc seeing Johnny upset is worse than torture. "Im sorry! Im really really sorry- you can uhm-" he tries to think of anything he owns of equal value, something as important, but comes up short. "You can hit me! You can! It will make you feel better, im really sorry-"

Simon's a bit frantic now, stepping closer and kneeling down as if to actually be hit. He grabs johnnys hand when it doesnt move and only pauses in his rambling when said hand is wrenched from his grasp. He looks up to see johnnys horrified expression, tears at his lashes. "What...si, simon, hey." Johnny kneels down to gently hold Simon's face "you know id never hit you, not like that, right? You dont deserve that."

Simon purses his lips, looks away. "I know that..." it sounds weak even to his own ears "but- I would let you, if- if you needed to." He says it like a romantic promise, voice only quivering a bit in the back of his throat. Johnny feels sick.

There's nothing to be said, not really. Suddenly the sketchbook doesnt seem so important.

something that really needs to be discussed more under transandrophobia is this very insidious emotional sexual abuse that cis mothers inflict on their trans(masc) sons/children. this gross almost incestuous enmeshment and entitlement that they have to our fucking bodies and how anything we do with our bodies is an attack on them and their body somehow

its such a vile and disgusting form of abuse and its genuinely hard for me to talk about because its something that i went through myself, on top of other abuse

Ragatha drops some lore on where she grew up, and what her family was like. And by her own admission, her mother was...well..."a lot". Enough that Ragatha gets visibly shaken when talking about her.

Ragatha: I'm sure she doesn't miss me. I certainly don't miss the yelling...and the berating...and guilt-tripping...and the...[quickly downs her drink and laughs unconvincingly]'' Yeah. Just kind of a farm girl. Nothing too out of the ordinary.

Notice that unlike all the others (Jax included), Ragatha is never asked to talk about her life, she’s the one who brings the subject on the table. You can feel she’s craving to be opened about her true feelings to someone, but because everyone else sees her as the "happy-go-lucky" one, they don’t even bother asking, and after she talks too much, she brushes it off like if she did something wrong.

Take note of Jax's reaction after hearing Ragatha’s story. He doesn't tease her about any of this, like he did with Zooble's own past. He just quietly studies his own drink, as if he recognizes that this is a sore spot for Ragatha and doesn't want to mock her over it.

It's hard to not feel bad for Ragatha after what happens throughout the episode: After the series of adventures, the other Circus members all go hang out with each other, with Gangle, Zooble, and Kinger together, and Pomni and Jax starting to bond with each other, leaving Ragatha all alone. Because Ragatha embodies toxic positivity to the point where the others are uncomfortable around her due to finding her positivity to be annoying or insincere, combined with how she desperately craves love and affection from the others around her, this scene shows that deep down, Ragatha doesn't have any true friends.

there will be autistics who never can do [thing] no matter how forced, no matter how punished, no matter how anything.

especially hate hearing autistics say “well if i didn’t do [thing] i would get abused” as if we autistics also didn’t get abused, except we still couldn’t do [thing].

you are dismissing higher support needs autistic who are or have been abused.

Dating someone who escaped an abusive relationship is sometimes heartbreakingly funny. Today we were chopping veggies for pasta and she turned around and said quite aggressively “I CHOP MY VEGGIES TOO SMALL. I KNOW. I’M A CHILD.”

And I’m just looking at this bowl of veggies chopped to the perfect size for enjoyable veggie pasta consumption going “oh he was weird about veggie size huh? And he bullied you about it didn’t he.”

Anyway we had a little reassurance session about how she may eat her veggies however she likes because it’s her damn food and also, coincidentally, I think that’s the perfect veggie size for pasta.

No real point to this post apart from, I’m glad that waste of oxygen is far away from both of us. And hit me up if you want the recipe for really really really good veggie pasta with cream and prosciutto.
