please correct me if i’m wrong or missing something, but a term I hear a lot about native communities is that european colonizers “stole their land,” which, I understand what they mean, but doesn’t seem like the right term?

my understanding is that (at least in the USAmerican regions) for many native peoples, land did not “belong” to anyone. the terms i would use would be “pushed out of their homes” and “genocide.” maybe “fenced in,” in some cases.

The worst part of getting a colonoscopy isn’t the procedure itself. It’s the prep you have to do leading up to it. I couldn’t eat any high fiber foods for the last four days (fruits, vegetables, whole grains, seeds, beans - this is legitimately 90% of what I eat daily). And since 10am this morning, I can’t have any solid foods until after the procedure tomorrow.

I easily get hangry under normal circumstances. I would willingly punch a baby at this point if it meant I could have food.

But don’t mind me - if you’re over 45 or have a family history of colon cancer, get a colonoscopy post haste!

Specifically the ghost trial I heard it's done in an abandoned store and I am very curious about the practically of it. Was there just not a ghost trial before the store was there?

Specifically when non-natives started to take the island challenge in higher numbers, the more traditional one was switched out, as it involved a location that is a flash point for the history of colonization in Alola.
