I like to imagine that Lucanis is proficient in a variety of sword fighting techniques, but particularly in Italian rapier fencing. I've taken a liking to the idea that he not only uses his daggers as an off hand weapon, but that he's also particularly capable at using his cloak as an off hand secondary. Imagine succeeding in disarming his off hand only for the man to unclip his cloak and, infuriatingly, use it not only to parry, but, by twirling and wrapping it around the opponent's weapon, quickly disarming them in true historical fashion. Perhaps the hem of his cloak is even weighted with a sewn in chain, enabling him to not only use it as a guard but also to strike. Bitch slapping the shit out of the enemy in style, with your cape, in true Crow fashion.

👀 👀 I still do fencing! This year is my 10th year with my club :D ! My fencing club is a dry club, so we do some traditional style stuff and occasional collabs with HEMA groups in addition to the electric categories. I've done all weapons and I favor foil BUT two weapon is my specialty :D I love my dagger <3

I’m going to a Renaissance Faire for the first time this weekend, and this is roughly what my costume looks like—a 1640’s soldier. So I decided to draw what the final ensemble looks like with some background.

The guy is standing in a common sword and dagger stance for Destreza, and the hat on the post is all chewed up because in the 17th century, fencing masks hadn’t been invented, so fencers would wear large brimmed hats and attempt to knock each others’ hat off instead of actually hitting their faces—at least ideally.
