This remix by the Video Game Music Choir (their sole credit on Harmony of a Hunter) is this remix of three major themes from the Metroid series: the Crateria surface theme (which, judging by the title, was Samus's original theme), the theme of Super Metroid (which took over that job after Super) and the main theme if Metroid Prime as an accapella piece. Beginning with a short arrangement of Crateria surface, the medley then moves into Samus's theme. The song is arranged to resemble the way it is used in Prime until it launches into the unmistakable Super Metroid credits version. Once this section comes to a close the medley ends on a quick take off of the Prime menu/credits theme.

This medley is by turns dramatic, tragic, uplifting, and dramatic again, emotions that recur again and again through the Metroid series' music. It's a very fitting way to encapsulate what the series is about, and the performers' singing is a pure delight. The name "Phazon Corruption" is a little oddly chosen due to using only one song strongly associated with the Prime games, but the earlier arrangement of Samus's theme as the version from Tallon IV planetfall is a nice touch to connect the main series to the Prime games. All in all, a lovely piece.
