Question for all Smart Doll owners!: how do you like them? Do they feel sturdy to you? Does the body (especially the new one that makes noises) feel stiff to pose? Was the buying experience easy and straightforward?

I've been curious about and following Smart Dolls since the prototypes and always liked Mirai, but the behavior of Danny Choo towards customers and some people's complaints about the fragility of the skeleton and lack of easily accessible replacement parts for repairs put me off buying them and led me to get DDs instead. I'm still curious about the dolls, but at this point all the reviews either seem to be from people who either really love Danny Choo and hate Volks or who really love Volks and hate Danny Choo, so I feel like they're too biased to really get any info out of.

My first Smart Doll, for extreme milestones. For my birthday month/ 950 days of sobriety from alcohol.

I've been looking at ball jointed dolls here on tumblr since 2014.

I know this isn't technically a ball-jointed doll, but it's of the realm, hand-made , resin slush casted, painted etc by a small team in Tokyo, ran and created by Danny Choo! This doll is extremely special to me, and to finally a Japanese doll like this after seeing such photos here.

I've altered Danny Choo's default sports bra pattern for Pear bodies! Also works as a bikini top. FREE pattern here: l-chan.neocities.org/patterns/Pea...

If you want a lacy bra like I made here, baste some black stretch lace onto the fabric before you sew. You can also sew lace or ruffles to the bottom. A tiny bow sewn to the middle would also look super-cute!

New girl arrived today after being missing for 2 weeks. I'm glad to have her home. Not sure what to name her but she is an Iris Collect Petiet AZONE Suzune Noraneko Drops Ver 1.1. She is sitting with my Smart Doll Destiny (Luna). They are pretty close in height almost like a big sister and a little sister. I really like the new girl, she's just as grumpy and cute as Luna is.
