Happy to see more content from dark side of the moon. The little drabbles about Levi are short, but very interesting and well written. Can't wait to read more. <3
Hey there! So glad to hear you’re enjoying the drabbles. I thought it would be a good way to ease back into writing dark side of the moon, and maybe build some more reader interest. And it’s fun to create these side stories about Levi’s life that might not make it into the main story.
Thanks for sticking with me and for sending the ask! It’s so nice to know that someone’s enjoying my stuff. 😊
#I’m slowly catching up with the drabbles#it’s just been one of those weeks#(one of those months? one of those years?)#I’m so looking forward to the summer#And hopefully more writing time!#anon asks#Sé answers#sixpennydame dark side of the moon

Under The Blood Moon

summary: in the humid belly of the night, you flee through the wild woods, breathless and bleeding, chased by a monster dressed in the skin of a man, and when he inevitably catches you, it's not to kill, but to keep. What follows is neither rescue or ruin, but a slow, savage claim written in blood, hunger, and heat.

M I N D T H E T A G S
Your breath saws raggedly through your throat as you run, legs scraping through the underbrush, branches slashing at your arms, the wet slap of mud against your calves. Your shoes are long gone, lost somewhere back on the splintered path—the soles of your feet raw and stinging with every frantic step.
Your dress, once a soft, homespun cotton in faded butter yellow, clings wetly to your skin, torn at the hem, heavy with damp earth and blood from shallow scratches. The thin petticoat underneath is ripped, the neckline torn where it caught on a low-hanging branch. Your bare legs gleam with sweat and dirt under the fevered gaze of the blood moon. The rough, hand-stitched seams bite into your skin with every frantic movement.
Behind you—
Footsteps.
Heavy, deliberate.
Not rushing, no.
He doesn't need to rush.
The blood moon glowers overhead, a bruised red eye in the sky, bleeding sickly light through the skeletal trees. The mist writhes around your ankles like grasping fingers, every breath clogged with the sour, choking scent of wet moss and rot. The forest feels alive—the cypress trees hunching closer, the swamp water sloshing in unseen black pools, the night thick with the buzz of unseen insects and the sticky slap of humidity against your skin.
You tear through a thicket, thorns slicing your thighs, the pain sharp but distant beneath the roaring panic. Your dress snags again—this time you rip free with a sob, fabric tearing in your frantic escape. You don't stop. You can't stop.
Your lungs burn. Your heart pounds a frantic, desperate rhythm against your ribs. Your hands are scraped raw where you shove branches aside. You don't know where you're going—only that you have to keep moving.
You think for one stupid, precious second that maybe you've lost him.
Then you hear it—
A low, rumbling chuckle.
The sound rolls across the mist like thunder, like a beast amused by the futile thrashing of its prey.
You shove yourself harder, feet slipping in the mud, the trees spinning in dizzy circles around you.
You should have listened.
The warning plays in your mind now, mocking and merciless—the old women in town, whispering in the feed store, their wrinkled hands making frantic crosses over their chests.
Don't go out on the blood moon.
There's something that walks these woods. A devil dressed in skin, hunting for its next meal.
You had laughed it off. Old wives' tales. A story to get unruly children to behave. Of course you didn't believe it...
Not until the heavy footsteps started following you.
Not until the woods seemed to shift, herding you deeper and deeper.
Not until the laughter—low, rich, and terrifying.
Your foot catches on a root hidden beneath the mist. You go down hard, the impact knocking the air from your lungs. Dirt and dead leaves cling to your palms as you scramble up, only to be yanked backwards by an iron grip around your ankle.
A scream rips from your throat as you're dragged across the ground, nails clawing uselessly at the earth, the taste of dirt and blood thick on your tongue.
"Well, lookie here," a deep, amused voice drawls from the shadows, thick with a Southern slur, soaked in heat and hunger. "Thought you could outrun me, lil’ hare?"
You kick, thrash, cry but—but it's useless.
He steps into view.
For the first time, you see him. Truly see him.
Broad-shouldered, wrapped in the kind of strength that speaks of old blood, of violence written into the bones. His bangs are slick with sweat and sticking to his forehead, catching the moonlight in glints of silver and soot. His mouth is a slow, cruel curve, teeth flashing when he smiles—serrated and sharp, dangerous in their promise.
And his eyes—
God, his eyes.
Deep, burning red, like fresh blood spilled on freshly fallen snow.
They glint at you through the mist, pinning you in place, drowning you in a voracity so raw it almost hums against your skin.
You whimper, trying to crab-crawl backward, but he just tilts his head, slow and mocking, one hand reaching lazily down to wrap around your ankle again.
"You run real pretty," he murmurs, accent thick and sweet as sap dripping down the bark of a Maple tree, "but you ain't got nowhere left t' go, sugar."
The gnarled woods close around you, the mist swallowing your pitiful cries, the trees bending low to listen.
And the monster—
The one you were warned about—
Grins as he pounces.
The world spins in a dizzy, mud-slick blur as he crashes into you, the full weight of him knocking the breath from your lungs. His hands are everywhere—rough palms sliding up your trembling thighs, your waist, trapping your wrists above your head with a grip so strong it aches.
You thrash, wild and panicked, but it’s like fighting against a landslide.
Every frantic buck of your hips, every desperate twist of your wrists, every teary plea for help, only seems to amuse him further.
He straddles you easily, his thighs like iron on either side of your hips, his body radiating impossible heat. His breath ghosts over your neck—slow, savoring—and when he inhales, it’s with a deep, shuddering drag, as though he’s drinking you in.
You go still.
Frozen.
A scared little rabbit under the paw of a hungry wolf.
Slowly, he lifts his head, and when your eyes meet his, your heart lurches sickly into your throat.
Those eyes—
Red as the blood moon above.
Glowing, starving.
The corner of his mouth curls, a slow, predatory grin, delighting in your overwhelming fear.
"Y' smell it, don't ya?" he murmurs, low and thick with appetite. His nose brushes the curve of your neck, inhaling again, greedily, his voice gone almost reverent. "Sweet lil' thing...bleedin' just f'me."
Your stomach turns over, nausea and terror twining like barbed wire.
He slides lower, his body pressing yours into the soft, damp earth. You can feel every strong inch of him—the way the metal of his belt buckle digs into your hip, the way his thigh muscles tense against you like a coiled predator savoring the final moments before it goes in for the kill.
His nose trails down, brushing the hollow of your throat, the dip between your breasts—slow, agonizing, torturous.
You try to pull away—
He growls.
Not a human sound.
Something low, rattling. Monstrous.
His hand tightens around your wrists until your bones creak. His other hand snakes between your bodies, grabbing your skirt—what's left of it—and dragging it higher, baring your thighs to the muggy night air.
"No use runnin' now," he says, almost gentle, as if talking down a skittish animal. His accent thickens, each word dripping slow as syrup, artificially sweet. "Gotcha all laid out pretty...just how I like ya."
You whimper, twisting helplessly, but he just chuckles deep in his chest, the sound vibrating against your ribs.
And then he goes still.
For one terrible, breathless second, he freezes—nostrils flaring, whiffing deeply, body tense as a drawn bowstring.
His gaze drops between your legs—to where your petticoat is soaked through, a dark, spreading stain betraying you to the night.
The change is instant.
A groan tears from his throat—raw, guttural, almost pained—and when his eyes meet yours again, they're molten red, desperate, devouring.
"God Almighty," he rasps, voice cracking like dry kindling. "Ain't nothin' in this world sweeter than a bleedin' cunt."
You sob, humiliated, terrified, as he shifts lower, his body dragging down over yours.
One hand shoves your thighs apart—roughly, possessively—while the other pins your wrists like shackles above your head.
"You don’t even know," he murmurs, almost tender, mouth ghosting over your inner thigh, his breath scorching hot, even in Delta’s sweltering humidity. "Don't even know what you’re doin' to me, sweet pea."
You can feel it now—his mouth, open and panting against the sensitive skin of your thigh, the tremble in his hands as he fights the urge to tear you open like a cat stretched over a fresh kill.
He presses his face against you, inhaling, low and deep, the sound of it filthy in the night.
And then—
He licks.
Long, slow, obscene—dragging his tongue up the seam of your cunt through the blood-slick cotton, a helpless whimper shuddering out of you before you can stop it.
He growls in response—a sound of such raw, savage pleasure you feel it bone-deep.
"That's it," he croons against you, dragging his mouth over you again, harder now, more desperate. "Let me taste it, baby...let me drink ya down."
You shake your head weakly, gasping, tears kissing along your water lines, vision blurry.
He only laughs —low and delighted—and tears the soiled remains of your petticoat aside with a quick, brutal rip of fabric.
And then there’s nothing between you.
Nothing but blood, skin, and his appetite.
Your thighs quake against the rough spread of his hands as he forces you open wider, his breath scorching hot against the most vulnerable parts of you, the parts that have never known a man's touch.
For a moment, he just stares—a low, reverent rumble building in his chest, vibrating through the muggy, blood-heavy air.
You choke on a sob, trying to squirm away, but his fingers dig bruises into your thighs.
"Nuh-uh, sugar," he murmurs, thick with amusement, the sharp scrape of his accent dragging down your spine like a blade. "You gone run enough."
You feel the shift—
Feel it deep in your marrow—
When he leans in and lets his mouth part against you.
A soft, wet, sinful sound fills the air as he licks—
And not just with any tongue.
When he drags it up your slit, you feel it—the unnatural split, the way the forked ends flick and curl separately, tracing obscene patterns through the slick, blood-slick folds of your cunt.
Your whole body seizes, a ragged, fragmented noise spilling from your throat.
He hums low—pleased, greedy—and licks again, slower this time, letting the twin points of his tongue tease your clit, your opening, flickering back and forth in a rhythm that makes your back arch high against the dirt.
"Mmm," he groans into you, nosing deeper, breathing you in like he means to fill his lungs with nothing but your scent. "Ain't never had a taste so fine. Like honey drippin' straight from the comb."
Tears streak from the corners of your eyes and down your temples, hot and shameful. You wrench your wrists uselessly against his grip, but he just pins you harder, his hand tightening like an iron shackle around your wrists.
He pulls back—just enough for you to see the blood slicking his lips, his chin—
And the red gleam of his eyes as he smiles, wide and mean.
"You wanna know what I was fixin' t' do t' ya?" he drawls, voice syrupy slow, full of wickedness. "When I caught ya runnin', I thought I'd rip that pretty lil' throat open. Watch ya bleed out all soft an' sweet beneath me."
You sob—broken, desperate.
His smile sharpens.
"Still might," he says, almost cheerfully, leaning back in, his nose nudging your clit so softly it makes your legs jerk. "If ya don't play real sweet for me, darlin'."
The implication settles heavy as stone in your gut—brutal, absolute.
Be good.
Or be dead.
You nod, trembling so hard your teeth chatter.
He croons a soft, pleased sound, rubbing his cheek against your inner thigh like a cat marking its prize.
"That's my girl," he says, thick and low, tongue flickering out to taste you again—slower now, more savoring. "Gonna treat ya real nice if ya stay still f'me."
You do.
You have no choice.
And he devours you.
The twin forks of his tongue work you open mercilessly—teasing, dipping, thrusting, flicking over the swollen nub of your clit in relentless, devastating licks. The sensation is too much—too sharp, too wet, too filthy—and you sob against the onslaught, your hips bucking helplessly beneath his iron grip.
He groans against you—filthy, hungry—and the vibrations make your vision white out at the edges.
"You taste like a blessin'," he mutters into your cunt, grinding the words into your skin with his mouth. "Sweet lil' Sunday sacrament, all laid out f'me t' worship."
You gasp, legs trembling violently, as the first orgasm builds—fast and brutal, cresting through you with the same merciless inevitability as the hunter pressing you down into the dirt, refusing to let up.
You don't want it.
You don't want it.
You can't want it.
But your body betrays you—spasming against his mouth, a shuddering cry breaking loose from your throat as you come, helpless and raw, against the wickedly incessant flicker of his tongue.
He moans as if your climax is the answer to damnation.
When you finally sag against the ground, limp and wrecked, he rises up over you—his mouth and chin slick with blood and slickness, his chest heaving, his cock straining hard against the rough denim of his trousers.
And for the first time—
There’s something in his face that’s not just hunger.
Something softer—
Something almost awed.
"Didn't think," he says roughly, almost to himself, "you'd be this damn sweet."
He leans down, pressing his forehead to yours—a rough, possessive, almost tender gesture.
"Ain't lettin' ya go now, sweet pea," he whispers, voice cracking like a prayer. "Ain't never lettin' go."
His hands trail down your body—calloused, devout—and you realize with a sick, fluttering horror that he’s not finished.
Not by a long shot.
He’s only just getting started.
You’re barely aware of him moving—too dazed, too wrecked—until the earth suddenly tilts wildly beneath you.
He rises to his feet in one smooth, terrifying motion, hauling your limp body up like you weigh nothing at all. His arms lock around your thighs, hoisting you over his broad shoulder, your face bouncing helplessly against the curve of his back.
The rough weave of his shirt scrapes your muddied cheek, damp with sweat and the humid Mississippi night. His scent floods your nose—salt and soil, blood and musk, something darker, wilder, something inhuman.
You whimper—too weak to fight—as his hand slaps possessively against the back of your thigh, holding you steady like a trophy kill.
"Shhh," he croons, his voice a low rumble vibrating straight through the very marrow of your bones. "Ain't no good wigglin', sweet pea. Y'belong t' me now."
Your fingers scrabble weakly against his shirt, nails catching on the coarse fabric, but he just laughs—a low, satisfied growl that rolls through the mist like thunder.
He starts walking—long, lazy strides deeper into the woods—further from the safety of town, further from anyone who could possibly hear you scream.
The trees lean in overhead, their gnarled branches clawing at the blood-colored sky, the cry of the cicadas like a chaotic choir, being taken deeper into the ugly underbelly of the forest.
The swamp breathes heavy and wet around you, the thick reek of stagnant water and moss closing over you like a suffocating shroud.
You can't see where he's taking you.
You can barely think.
Only feel—the slow, relentless sway of his body, the iron strength of his arms locking you in place as you look at the passing blur of gnarled foliage and plant litter every which way you twist your neck.
And his voice—
Low, filthy, almost tender—
Whispering promises against the slope of your thigh, each word branding itself into your skin.
"Gonna keep ya," he mutters, almost to himself. "Chain ya up nice 'n' sweet...keep ya all soft an' wet f'me...pretty lil' plaything, made jus' fer me."
You sob quietly, the sound muffled against his back, not that anything other than things that go bump in the night would hear anyways.
He doesn't stop.
Doesn't waver.
Just keeps carrying you deeper and deeper into the black heart of the woods, where no one will ever find you.
Where you’ll be his.
Body and soul.
Whether you want to be or not.
The world sways sickeningly with every step he takes.
Your body hangs limp over his shoulder, the thin fabric of your torn dress sticking to your skin, soaked through with sweat, blood, and the sticky breath of the Delta night. Every time he shifts you higher, the calloused drag of his palm across the backs of your thighs sends a tremor through your aching muscles.
The woods are different here.
Deeper.
Darker.
The trees older, skeletal and gnarled, twisted into shapes that look unnaturally human in the bloody moonlight, the knots in the bark large and gaping like mouths frozen mid-scream. The air thickens, heavy with the reek of standing water, mold, the cloying sweetness of rotting flowers.
You choke on it—each breath a struggle, sticky and wet in your throat.
He walks without hurry, the heavy tread of his boots sinking into the soft, muddy earth. The mist clings low around his legs, swallowing the ground whole. Crickets scream somewhere in the black, distant and frantic, but otherwise the world is eerily, horribly still.
You try to lift your head, try to see, but it only makes your vision tilt crazily, a low moan of sickness rising from your gut, feeling the bile trying to crawl up your esophagus.
He chuckles—low and knowing.
"Easy, lil' thing," he drawls, one broad hand stroking up the back of your thigh like a man soothing a spooked filly. "Ain't no sense gettin' y'self all riled."
His bloody fingers trail higher—under the torn remains of your petticoat, brushing the damp, sticky mess between your thighs. He hums, pleased.
"Still drippin'," he mutters almost to himself. "Still sweet."
The mist parts ahead like a curtain—and then you see it.
The chapel.
Or what's left of it.
A crumbling ruin of warped wood and sagging stone, half-swallowed by ivy and moss. The windows are shattered, jagged teeth of stained glass glinting in the blood moon's light. The steeple leans drunkenly to one side, bells long since stolen or fallen.
It should have been abandoned.
It was abandoned.
But now—
It breathes.
The mist coils around its dirty white skeleton, hugging it tight, the trees bending low like penitents around a grave.
He shoulders through the warped doors, boots echoing hollowly against the splintered floorboards. The air inside is thick—choking with mildew, smoke, old blood, the slow, sweet rot of something long dead, something long past salvation.
He carries you down the nave like a groom bearing a bride—if the groom were a wolf and the bride a carcass.
In the very center of the chapel, where once an altar might have stood, there’s only a low, crude bed—little more than a frame of old wood lashed together with vines and rope, a soiled mattress bowed low in the middle. Chains dangle from the bedposts, dark with rust, heavy enough to hold an ox.
Your heart stutters against your ribs.
He stops at the edge of the bed and lets you slide from his shoulder like a sack of grain, dropping you onto the mattress with a grunt. The springs wheeze under your weight. You scramble weakly, trying to push yourself up, but he just watches—arms folded, a slow, wicked grin playing at the corners of his bloody mouth.
"Look atcha," he says, voice dripping slow and fond. "All scared and pretty."
You whimper, trying to scoot back—away from him, away from the bed, away from the chains meant to shackle you to the floor. To him.
He lets you.
For a second.
Then he moves—faster than you can track—grabbing your ankle and yanking you back down the mattress with a savage jerk that knocks the breath from your lungs, chuckling low and mean under his breath, smiling like a predator playing with its food.
He looms over you—all broad shoulders and hungry red eyes, his chest heaving, his hair sweaty and sticking to his face. The crumbling roof of the chapel overhead caved in like a skylight created by time and erosion, the moonlight streaming in creating a bloody halo behind his head.
You kick out at him, weak and feeble. He catches your other ankle, spreads your legs wide with ease, and pins them to the bed.
"Y'know," he says thoughtfully, almost conversational, "I ain't never done this before."
You stare up at him, wide-eyed, chest heaving.
"Usually," he drawls, slow and deliberate, your blood dark and drying to his jaw, teeth sharp and daggered like the canines of a beast. "I catch my prey...an' I tear it open. Bleed it dry. Toss what's left t' the buzzards."
His hands slide up your calves, over your knees, rough palms mapping the shivering muscle of your thighs.
"But you..."
His grin widens, sharp and wicked.
"You got somethin' special in ya, sugar. Somethin' sweet. Somethin’ addictin’.”
His hands move higher, pushing the torn hem of your dress up around your hips.
"Gonna make a pet outta you," he murmurs, almost worshipful. "Gonna keep ya chained up nice and proper. Keep ya fed, keep ya warm...keep ya wet and loose."
You sob, twisting against the hold he has on your legs, but it only makes him chuckle low in his throat.
"Not just a meal, no sir," he says, voice thick with something like wonder. "Ain't never turned a meal inta a pet before."
He leans down, his mouth brushing your ear, his breath hot and damp and hungry.
"Gonna fuck ya every which way," he whispers, each word sinking into your flesh like thorns pricking your skin. "Gonna break ya in nice and slow. Make ya forget y'ever had a name b'fore me."
You shake your head, tears spilling over.
He just laughs—low and delighted—and kisses your temple, obscene in its mockery of tenderness.
"You'll see," he croons. "Ain't nothin' sweeter than bein' wanted, sweet pea. Nothin' sweeter than bein' kept and cared for.”
He shifts, reaching for the chains.
You hear the clatter of iron against wood, the heavy clink of rusted links.
Your blood goes cold.
You realize—
This isn't a nightmare you can wake from.
This is your life now.
Your body.
Your blood.
Your soul.
All belonging to him.
And the monster smiles.
The chains rattle in his fists, thick and rust-bitten, heavy enough to feel like fate.
You kick again, heart thundering in your chest, but it’s nothing against him.
He grabs your wrist with one hand, slamming it down against the splintered wood of the bed frame. The iron cuff closes around your wrist with a brutal finality, locking tight with a groaning snap of the old metal.
You cry out—a broken, pitiful sound that nothing but the cicadas will hear.
He shushes you—a low, almost tender croon—as he grabs your other arm, dragging it above your head and shackling it too.
The chains clink as you struggle, the cold bite of them against your bruised skin making you tremble harder.
"There we go," he murmurs, stepping back to admire his work, red eyes gleaming under the dripping shadows of the ruined chapel. "All trussed up like a good lil' prize hog."
You sob again, humiliated, terrified—but he only grins, predatory and bright, his chest rising and falling with heavy, panting breaths.
Slowly, leisurely, he kneels over you.
His hands trail down your body—dirty palms leaving streaks of blood, sweat, and swamp filth over the ruined silk of your dress. He hooks his fingers into the ripped neckline and tears—a wet, brutal sound of fabric giving way.
Your dress peels open like fruit skin, baring your chest to the swamp-choked air.
He makes a sound then—not quite a growl, not quite a groan—something broken and devout.
"Goddamn," he breathes, one palm spanning your ribs, feeling your heart rabbit helplessly beneath the thin shell of bone and skin. "Y'look sweeter 'n a sunrise after the flood."
His thumb brushes one nipple, watching it harden instantly under the humid chill.
You try to twist away—shame burning hotter than the blood in your veins—but the chains rattle uselessly, locking you in place.
He chuckles, low and dark.
"Ain't no hidin' from me, sugar," he says, rough and sweet, dragging his knuckles down your trembling belly. "Ain't no shame neither. Y'was made fer this. Made fer me."
His hands find the bunched remains of your petticoat around your hips.
Slowly—cruelly slow—he tears the rest away.
Until you're laid bare before him.
Blood-slick, shaking, eyes wide and wet.
He stares at you for a long moment—drinking in the sight of you like a starving man at a banquet that hasn't been permitted to feast yet.
You can feel the weight of his gaze—heavy and hungry.
"Mmm," he hums deep in his throat.
"Prettiest lil' pet I ever seen."
He palms your thighs, rough thumbs pressing bruises into the soft flesh as he pushes your legs open wider.
You sob—mortified, helpless—but it only seems to please him more.
"Lookit that," he murmurs, dipping his head down, close enough that his breath fans hot across your cunt. "Still bleedin'...still so damn sweet."
And then—
The flicker of heat—
The twin points of his forked tongue lash out, slick and obscene, stroking along the weeping seam of your cunt.
You gasp—body jolting violently against the chains—a sharp, helpless cry tearing from your throat.
He groans deep, low and guttural, as he licks again—slow, deliberate—tasting the blood and slick pooling between your thighs.
He moves with maddening patience—the split tips of his tongue teasing either side of your clit, circling, flicking, taunting.
"You hear that?" he mutters thickly, rubbing his mouth over your cunt, tongue dragging up every inch of you. "Hear how messy y'are f'me, sugar?"
You can't answer.
You're beyond answering.
Your thighs quiver against his shoulders, muscles locking and spasming as he devours you—slow, relentless, merciless.
He pulls back only long enough to watch you squirm—your face flushed, your lips trembling, your hips jerking up helplessly as if chasing the wicked flick of his tongue.
"Poor thing," he croons, mock-sweet. "Y'bleedin', cryin', achin'...and ya still openin' them pretty legs f'me."
He laughs—low and pleased—and dives back in, feasting like a man who'd been starved for a hundred years.
You can already feel yourself unraveling—
Can feel it building again—
That terrible, traitorous heat coiling low in your belly, shame burning so brightly it tastes like iron on your tongue.
He tongues you deeper, forked tongue writhing against your soaked, blood-slick entrance, and you sob, straining against the chains as your body gives in.
You come—
Harder than before—
Your cunt clenching helplessly around nothing, your blood and slick gushing against his mouth.
He groans, hips grinding into the bed, rutting against the mattress like he can't stand it, like the taste of you is killing him.
He pulls back, panting hard, mouth and chin dripping in a fresh coat of crimson.
When he looks at you—
It's not just hunger.
It's possession.
"That's it, baby," he rasps, voice raw, shredded with want. "Give it all t' me. Ain't gonna leave nothin' behind."
You whimper brokenly, chains rattling as you pull uselessly at your bonds.
And then—
You see it.
Him undoing his belt.
The clink of metal, the low rasp of fabric sliding down heavy thighs.
His cock springs free—thick, veined, flushed red—already weeping at the tip.
Your mouth goes dry with terror.
He crawls up the bed like a predator stalking wounded prey, his glowing eyes locked on you, his smile wide and merciless.
"Gonna claim ya proper now, sugar," he says, his voice low and trembling with barely-restrained hunger. "Gonna fuck ya bloody, fuck ya dumb...make ya forget the whole damn world 'cept me."
You sob, head thrashing weakly against the mattress.
He just laughs—low, light, loving—as he fits the head of his cock against your slick cunt.
And pushes in.
The first push of him inside you is a shock—
Stretching, burning, splitting you apart on the thick, heavy drag of his shaft.
You sob, twisting against the chains, but he just groans guttural and filthy, shoving deeper with a slow, brutal roll of his hips that forces your body to open up for him.
"There we go," he pants, sweat dripping from his brow to your heaving chest. "Takin' me real sweet, ain't ya, darlin'?"
The stretch feels endless, unbearable—every ridge and vein of him dragging against blood-slick, swollen flesh.
Your body tries to resist, clenching tight, but he's relentless—grinding deeper, forcing himself past the trembling, fluttering grip of your cunt.
"You fightin' me," he groans, voice ragged with pleasure, "but ya can't stop it, can ya? Body knows. Body knows who owns it now."
Tears spill from your eyes, hot and helpless.
The chains rattle with every shuddering breath you take.
He leans down, pressing his forehead against yours, his skin sweaty and warm same as yours, trapping you together in the sticky, blood-sweet air.
"Y'made fer this," he whispers, voice breaking on the edges of worship. "Made fer me."
With a slow, grinding thrust, he bottoms out—buried to the hilt, your body stretched taut around him, trembling with the effort to contain him.
He doesn't move at first.
Just breathes—hard, shuddering—his cock pulsing hot inside you, his hands gripping your hips so tight you know you'll wear the bruises for days.
"Sweetest cunt I ever had," he murmurs, almost dazed, rolling his hips just enough to grind against the blood-slick walls of your cunt. "Sweetest thing I ever tasted."
You whimper, wrecked, overwhelmed.
He starts to move—slow at first, almost lazy, dragging his cock nearly all the way out before slamming back in with a wet, obscene slap of skin on skin.
The bedframe groans under the force of it. The chains rattle. The chapel breathes with the rhythm of it—an old, rotted cathedral witnessing your ruin.
He keeps his forehead pressed to yours, breath coming hot and ragged between clenched fangs.
"Fuck," he snarls, thrusting harder, grinding deep. "Ain't never...fuckin'...lettin' you go, sugar."
Each word is punctuated by a savage snap of his hips, driving you higher up the mattress, making the iron cuffs bite deeper into your bruised wrists.
Your world narrows to the brutal stretch of him inside you, the thick heat of his body pinning you down, the filthy grind of his cock dragging more slick, more blood from your battered cunt.
He groans again—a raw, broken sound—and pulls back to stare down at where your bodies meet.
Blood coats his cock, painting the base of it slick and glistening in the crimson moonlight.
He growls—a deep, vibrating sound—and slams in harder, hips jerking.
"Bleedin' all f'me," he mutters, awe bleeding into the filthy cadence of his voice. "Markin' me proper. Good lil' bitch, lettin' me ruin ya."
You sob—don't know if it's from the pain, the shame, the unbearable rush of something darker pooling low in your belly.
He leans in, dragging his split tongue up your throat—slow, languid—tasting the salt of your skin.
"Gonna fill ya up," he rasps, thrusting harder now, the rhythm getting ragged, desperate. "Breed ya good. Chain ya to this bed and fuck ya full every night till y'don't know nothin' but my cock."
Your hips jerk helplessly against him, legs trembling, blood and slick dripping down your thighs onto the ruined mattress.
He bites down suddenly—not hard enough to break the skin, but hard enough to bruise—right over the frantic pulse at your throat.
You keen—a high, broken noise—and the orgasm hits you like a lightning strike.
Your cunt clamps down around him, spasming violently, drawing a raw, broken snarl from his chest.
"That's it," he growls, fucking you through it, his cock thickening even more inside you. "That's it, dove, milk it. Milk it good."
You come undone—
Body locking, heart hammering, chains rattling—
As he drives you through wave after wave of brutal, bloody pleasure.
His rhythm falters—
Hitches—
And with a hoarse snarl, he slams deep one last time.
You feel it—
The hot, thick flood of him spilling inside you—
Coating your walls, mixing with the blood already slicking your thighs.
He stays buried deep—panting, shaking, his arms trembling where they cage you in.
For a long moment, the only sound in the chapel is the labored, broken gasps of breath—his and yours, tangled together in the hot, heavy dark.
He nuzzles into your throat, murmuring low, senseless things against your skin.
"My girl," he breathes, over and over, as if trying to convince himself. "My sweet girl."
You lie limp beneath him—wrecked, used, ruined—your body claimed in every way it can be claimed.
And somewhere—
Buried under the terror, the humiliation—
A dark, terrible heat begins to flicker in your chest.
You're his now.
There’s no going back.
And the monster—
The one you were warned about—
Whispers that maybe, just maybe—you don’t want to.
The world feels soft and hazy when he finally moves.
You’re barely aware of it—just a weak, blood-warm ache where your legs sprawl open, your wrists burning raw from the chains. Every nerve ending feels stretched thin, humming with the aftershocks of being wrecked and claimed and ruined.
He shifts over you—his cock sliding free with a wet, filthy sound that makes you flinch—and you feel the thick, sticky mess of blood and come seeping down your thighs.
You whimper weakly, body too used up to fight.
But instead of leaving you—instead of walking away like the monster you thought he was—
He stays.
He kneels between your ruined thighs, the broken mattress sagging beneath his weight, and for a moment he just looks at you—head cocked, hair wild and dripping sweat, red eyes burning.
Something like awe flickers across his face.
"Sweet lil' mess," he murmurs, voice thick, almost tender.
One large, calloused hand cups your knee—thumb stroking slow, idle circles into your bruised skin—as he leans in.
You feel the first press of his tongue before you can even gasp.
He drags that wicked, forked tongue up the inside of your thigh again, lapping at the blood and slick smeared there like it’s the finest ambrosia.
He groans deep in his chest, his hands tightening on your trembling legs to hold you wide open for him.
You sob—broken, humiliated—but he just keeps licking, slow and steady, cleaning you up like a beast grooming his mate.
"Can't waste none of it," he mutters between licks, his breath damp against your skin. "Every drop...mine."
You twitch beneath him, wrists jerking weakly against the chains, but there’s no strength left in you.
There’s no fight left at all.
He licks higher—over the tender, battered folds of your cunt—gathering the mixture of blood and seed with obscene thoroughness, his tongue darting deep, savoring every taste.
You shudder violently, a broken whimper escaping your throat.
He shushes you again—so softly, so lovingly it makes your heart twist.
"Easy, sweet pea," he croons against your skin. "Ain't hurtin' ya now. Jus' takin' what's mine."
His tongue splits and flicks, teasing your clit, making your hips jolt despite yourself.
"That's it," he murmurs, smiling against you. "That's my good girl."
When he’s satisfied—when every drop of blood, every smear of slick has been licked from your trembling body—
He pulls back, wiping his mouth lazily with the back of his hand.
He looks down at you sprawled out on the soiled mattress—swollen wrists chained, thighs open, skin sticky with sweat and tears—and his smile softens.
"Pretty lil' thing," he murmurs, reaching out to thumb the tear tracks from your cheeks. "Took it so good. Knew ya would."
You try to flinch away from his touch, but it’s pathetic—a trembling, fragmented twitch.
He hums low in his throat, pleased.
Slowly, purposefully, he reaches for the shackles binding your wrists.
For a sick, dizzy second, you think he’s going to tighten them—punish you for even thinking of pulling away.
But instead—
You hear the click of old iron locks giving way.
The weight of the cuffs falls from your wrists, leaving raw, angry bands of flesh behind.
You sag back against the mattress like a puddle of liquid bones and flesh, too stunned, too hollowed out to move.
He watches you for a moment—head tilted, red eyes gleaming—like a man admiring the final brushstroke of a masterpiece.
Then he moves.
He scoops you up with terrifying ease—one hand under your knees, the other cradling your back—lifting you like you're weightless.
You make a weak, pitiful sound against his chest, but he just hushes you—soft and sweet—pressing a rough kiss to the crown of your filthy, sweat-drenched hair.
"Shhh, baby," he croons. "Ain't gonna hurtcha. Ain't gotta run no more."
He carries you to the far corner of the chapel—to a weathered old pew tucked into the shadows—and settles down onto it, shifting you into his lap like you belong there.
Your thighs straddle his hips, your chest crushed against his filthy shirt, your legs dangling uselessly on either side of his body.
He rocks you—nice and easy—the way a man might rock a newborn calf.
And all the while, he talks.
Low, sweet, steady.
"Got a place fer ya," he murmurs into your hair. "Back in the bayou. Little cabin where nobody'll never find ya."
His hands roam lazily over your battered body—soothing, petting, possessive.
"Got a bed there," he goes on, voice almost dreamy. "Big enough to tie ya spread-eagle. Big enough t' keep ya wet and ready all the time."
You shudder in his lap—a broken, helpless thing—but he just rocks you harder, nuzzling into your neck.
"Teach ya how t' live on nothin' but my cock and my seed," he whispers. "Keep ya full, keep ya heavy...make ya forget the whole damn world but me."
You sob softly against his chest.
He smiles against your hair.
"That's it," he croons. "That's my sweet girl."
His hand slides between your thighs again—unhurried, filthy—and cups the used, swollen heat of your cunt, thumb stroking lazy circles into the mess he left behind.
You twitch helplessly in his lap.
"Always knew I'd find somethin' special out here," he mutters, more to himself than to you. "Didn't reckon I'd find my forever meal...my lil' blood-slick pet."
He presses his mouth to your temple—a kiss, obscene in its tenderness.
"Mine now," he whispers. "Mine 'til the river runs dry."
The chapel groans around you—old wood settling, whispering, watching—as he rocks you slowly in his lap.
You’re weightless against him.
Soft.
Malleable.
The chains are gone, but you’re no freer than you were before.
Your body has surrendered.
Your mind—
God help you—isn't far behind.
He hums low under his breath, a tuneless, lazy thing—some old hymn twisted into something darker. Something damned.
His hands roam over you without hurry—stroking your bruised thighs, cupping the raw stretch of your hips, smoothing down the arch of your spine.
One of his palms cups the back of your head, pushing your face against his chest, holding you there like a possession too precious to lose.
"You feel it, don'tcha," he murmurs against your hair. "Way y'body melts into mine. Way y'cunt still pulses f'me even now."
You whimper—soft and splintered—and he smiles, wide and slow.
"Don't fight it, sugar," he says, low and coaxing. "Ain't nothin' left but me now."
You feel the slow, lazy roll of his hips beneath you—the thick, heavy press of his cock, still slick and blood-warm, nudging insistently between your thighs again.
You sob weakly, your body jerking against his.
But it’s useless.
Inevitable.
He shifts you higher, lining himself up, one broad hand guiding your hips as he pushes back inside—slow, deep, claiming.
You choke on a whimper, trembling violently in his lap as he fills you again—stretching your battered, blood-slick cunt to the limit.
"There we go," he croons. "There she is."
He rocks you on his cock—gradual, thick, obscene—grinding deep with each lazy roll of his hips, never pulling out, never letting you escape the feel of him inside you.
His mouth finds your ear, breath hot and heavy.
"Y'ain't even know my name yet," he murmurs, almost laughing. "Been takin' ya, ruinin' ya, bleedin' ya dry...and you don't even know what t' call me."
You shudder helplessly against him.
He presses a kiss to the hinge of your jaw—filthy, tender.
"Remmick," he breathes.
"That's what ya call me, sugar."
Another slow grind of his hips—another thick, aching thrust deep inside your ruined cunt.
"Say it," he whispers, voice breaking sweet and sharp against your skin. "Say my name."
You sob—mind reeling, body burning—but the word tumbles out of you like a rejected prayer.
"Remmick."
He groans, raw and reverent, and rocks you harder, the weathered pew creaking beneath the slow, punishing grind of his body.
"Good girl," he pants, forehead pressing to yours. "Sweet lil' thing...mine now. Mine forever."
He kisses you then—
A brutal, clumsy thing—
Mouth crushed against yours, tasting of blood and salt and something older. Something primordial.
You sob into the kiss, legs trembling against his hips, your body clinging to him without thinking, without reason.
Remmick smiles against your mouth.
"That's it," he murmurs. "Ain't no runnin' now. Ain't no leavin'."
He rocks you again—slow, deep—every thrust branding you, sinking you deeper under his spell.
"You got my name now," he whispers, voice thick with triumph and devotion. "And soon enough, baby...you gonna carry the rest of me too."
His hand slides down, splaying wide over your lower belly—
Possessive, filthy, promising.
"You gonna carry me inside ya, sweet pea," he breathes, voice almost shaking. "Gonna grow fat an' heavy with me...my blood, my seed, my babies."
You sob against his chest—wrecked, overwhelmed—as he rocks you through it, slow and relentless, every movement carving your fate deeper into your body.
And Remmick—
The monster, the devil, the man—
Just holds you tighter, crooning low and filthy against your skin.
"My girl," he whispers. "My sweet, bleedin' girl."
The slow grind of him inside you never stops.
Remmick rocks you lazily in his lap—the pew creaking under the weight of his possession—each slow thrust pushing you deeper under, erasing everything but the burn and the stretch and the unbearable, filthy tenderness of him.
Your head lolls against his shoulder, sweat-soaked hair sticking to your temples, every nerve frayed to a live wire.
He strokes your back in long, rough sweeps—the calluses of his palms rasping over every bruise, every bite mark, every blood-smeared inch of you.
"You feel it, don'tcha, sugar," he breathes into your ear, voice sweet and sticky as syrup. "The way yer body listens to me now. Way it wants me even when you don't."
You sob weakly, too broken to deny it.
His arms tighten around you—one locked around your back, the other spreading wide over your hips, guiding you up and down the thick, blood-slick length of his cock.
"You was made fer this," he murmurs, his breath hot and humid against your skin. "Made t'be mine. Made t'be fucked full, bred fat, kept warm an' wet in my bed."
He rocks you harder—deeper—the swollen head of his cock grinding up against that raw, aching place inside you, making your whole body jolt and shudder helplessly.
Your wrists curl weakly against his chest, the instinct to cling overpowering even your fear.
Remmick hums low, satisfied.
"Good girl," he praises, voice rough and ragged. "Good lil' thing, clingin' so sweet."
He kisses the side of your throat—a slow, open-mouthed drag of lips and teeth—and you feel him smiling against your pulse.
And then his voice drops lower—softer, darker—as he begins to whisper.
"But if y'ever think about runnin'..." he murmurs, rocking you a little harder, his cock dragging thick and slow inside your cunt, "if y'ever try t'leave me, lil’ hare...I'll hunt ya down."
You shudder violently in his arms.
"I'll drag ya screamin' back by that sweet lil' ankle," he whispers, almost lovingly. "Chain ya tighter. Fuck ya harder. Make sure next time ya can't even walk."
You sob—broken, breathless.
He kisses your ear, his tongue flicking out to taste the salt of your tears.
"Maybe I'll break that pretty lil' ankle," he muses, his voice so soft it’s almost a lullaby. "Keep ya bed-bound...keep ya needy...make ya beg for me t'feed ya, to fuck ya, to touch ya."
You whimper, hips jerking against him without meaning to.
Remmick groans low in his chest, thrusting up deeper inside you.
"You'd look so pretty like that," he pants. "All bruised up an' cryin'...beggin' me to keep fillin' this sweet lil' cunt."
His hand slides between your bodies, thumb finding your clit—swollen, aching, blood-slick—and starts to rub slow, relentless circles.
You gasp, high and needy, clutching at him, legs trembling where they sprawl weakly around his hips.
"That's it," he breathes, rocking you harder now, rubbing you faster. "Cum f'me, sugar. Milk me good. Show me who ya belong to."
You sob, mind fracturing under the thick, unbearable pleasure—under the dirty, endless tenderness of his voice—under the awful, overwhelming rightness of it.
Your orgasm slams into you—sharp, brutal, dizzying—your whole body clenching down around him, sobbing his name against his throat.
Remmick groans, burying his cock deep one last time, grinding slow and thick against the fluttering spasms of your cunt.
"That's my girl," he whispers, voice cracked and worshipful. "My sweet, bleedin' girl. Mine."
He holds you through it—rocking you gently, slowly—cooing filthy promises against your skin.
"Never lettin' ya go," he breathes, voice drunk with possession. "Never."
And you know—
With a dark, shattered certainty —
That he’s telling the truth.
Your body trembles in his lap—used, slick, overflowing—and still, Remmick doesn’t stop.
Still buried deep inside you, he rocks you lazily—thick, slow drags of his cock against your raw, battered walls, the wet, messy sound of it filling the ruined chapel.
You whimper, limp and broken against his chest.
He shushes you, petting your hair, pressing kisses to your temple, your jaw, your throat.
"That's it, sweet pea," he praises. "Just keep takin' it. Keep takin' me."
His hips move slower now—deep, grinding thrusts that make you feel every vein, every throb of him inside you.
You sob weakly when you feel the telltale pulse of his cock thickening again—feel the way he holds you tighter, groaning low in your ear.
"Poor thing," he breathes, voice shaking with hunger and something darker, deeper. "Ain't built t'keep up, are ya?"
He rocks you harder, the sticky, bloody mess of your body clinging wetly to him.
His mouth finds your ear again—voice low, filthy, almost laughing.
"Y'know why?" he whispers. "Y'know why ya break so easy f'me, sugar?"
You whimper, unable to answer, unable to think.
He licks the shell of your ear—slow, lazy—before speaking again.
"'Cause I ain't no man, sweet thing," he says, voice rich with wicked delight. "Ain't no mortal that tires out an' falls asleep after one fuck."
He grinds deeper—hips jerking, cock twitching inside you.
"A demon’s stamina," he murmurs, "ain't like a man's."
You shudder violently in his arms.
"I can do this," he breathes, voice low and full of terrible promise, "forever."
He thrusts again—slow, heavy, final—and you feel it.
Feel the thick, molten flood of him spilling inside you again—hotter, heavier than before, painting your ruined cunt, seeping out around his cock.
Remmick groans low, deep in his chest—a sound full of brutal satisfaction.
He holds you there—stuffed full, pinned tight—grinding the mess deeper with lazy, possessive rolls of his hips.
"There we go," he murmurs against your throat. "Fill ya up good. Mark ya so deep ya gonna leak me out fer days."
You sob, a broken little sound that only makes him hum in pleasure.
He strokes your hair, your back, rocking you gently in the wreckage of the chapel.
"You're mine now," he whispers. "Ain't no priest, no preacher, no god up there that can take ya from me."
He kisses your temple—filthy, loving.
"Belong t' me, sweet lil' thing," he breathes. "My pet. My meal. My mate."
You lie limp in his lap, broken open, owned.
And you realize—with a dark, awful clarity—that you don't even want to run anymore.
You belong here.
With him.
Forever.
And the monster—
The demon—
Your Remmick—
Rocks you slowly into the night, crooning sweet, filthy promises against your skin.

OK IVE BEEN THINKING ABOUT THIS FOR A WHILE
so I keep seeing these ads for “pheromone perfume” pop up. the women in who advertise it say that it makes men go crazy, it smells amazing, they can’t get their bfs off of them whenever they put it on (and usually they put it on and then set up the camera and wait for their significant other to walk in the room and react to it)
and every time I see one of those ads, I think of designationless reader.
idk if that’s something they’d ever do, but I feel like it would be interesting for them to dab some of it on their wrists and behind their ears, as well as where their scent glands are and see how the guys react to it 🤭🤭
Anon i love you and I am smooching your brain so hard rn
The idea had been simmering in your mind for weeks, born from the endless pheromone perfume ads that flooded your late-night scrolling. People with bright smiles swore their perfumes were magic, capable of driving their partners wild with desire. But you weren’t like those people. You had no designation, no scent, no pheromones to speak of-
The ads made you feel like an outsider all over again. But they also left you wondering- what if there was a way to bridge that gap, just a little?
That’s how you found yourself at a specialized lab, the kind that catered to people willing to spend a small fortune for something deeply personal. It wasn’t easy. The process was invasive, awkward, and expensive. The technicians had taken a lot of samples of your body- skin oils, sweat, saliva- examining them under microscopes, running them through machines you didn’t understand, distilling your very essence into a single vial of concentrated potential.
When you walked out with the tiny glass bottle, your wallet was lighter, and your chest was tight with nerves.
What if this didn’t work?
What if it did?
Being scentless had always set you apart, a quiet absence in a world built on pheromones and instinct. You didn’t have the alluring pull of an omega’s sweetness or the steady, grounding weight of a beta’s calm. And you certainly didn’t have the commanding presence of an alpha’s dominance.
You were… nothing.
Not that your pack ever made you feel that way. Price, Soap, Ghost, and Gaz treated you like you hung the moon, their affection constant and overwhelming. But sometimes, in the quiet moments, you wondered what it would be like if you could scent them. If you could mark them the way they marked you. If you could pull them closer without relying on their instincts to protect what was theirs.
You’d dabbed the finished product on experimentally: just behind your ears, at the base of your throat, and along the faint line of your collarbone. You added drops to your wrists and even a little over your faulty scent glands, though you weren’t sure why. It had no scent for you, and you were almost worried that they might have scammed you.
But their reactions convinced you otherwise.
The moment he walked into the common area, his steps faltered. His broad shoulders stiffened, and his blue eyes sharpened, narrowing as if sensing something just out of reach. He sniffed once, subtly at first, but then again, deeper, his nostrils flaring, and his hands flexed at his sides.
“Something’s… different.” He muttered, almost to himself, but his voice was low enough to send a shiver through you.
“Something wrong, Cap?” You asked innocently, feigning ignorance as Soap entered behind him.
Soap stopped in his tracks, bright demeanor dimming as his eyes zeroed in on you. His head tilted, his mouth parting slightly as he breathed in deeply. “Lass,” he murmured, soft and careful. “What are you wearin’?”
“Clothes? What else would I be wearing, Soap?” You replied, voice dry just enough to be convincing. You raised an eyebrow, then, and crossed your arms. “Seriously, what’s going on?”
Gaz appeared next, his movements slower than usual as he approached. Dark eyes narrowed, his focus razor-sharp as his body tensed. He didn’t speak immediately; instead, he circled you slightly, his hands twitching like he wanted to reach out but didn’t know where to start.
Ghost entered last, his imposing frame cutting through the room’s tension like a blade. He didn’t say a word, didn’t ask, didn’t even hesitate. He simply stopped in front of you, his chest rising and falling steadily as his head dipped slightly, his masked face inches from yours. His gloved hands found your waist, and a low growl rumbled in his chest as he inhaled deeply.
“What?” you asked again, blinking at them with wide eyes, your voice lilting with carefully curated confusion. “What’s wrong?”
Price stepped closer as well, his boots heavy against the floor as he studied you. “You smell… different, love.” He said, voice like the distant rumble of thunder.
“Different how?” you asked, biting back a smile.
Johnny couldn’t hold himself back from you any longer, his hands sliding over your hips as he leaned in, his nose brushing against the curve of your neck. He let out a low hum, his warm breath skimming your skin. “Christ,” he murmured, his lips barely grazing your throat, “you smell good. Like somethin’ I can’t quite place.”
Gaz knelt at your side, his hands wrapping around your wrists. He brought one up to his face, his eyes fluttering shut as he pressed a kiss to the soft skin. “Sweet,” he murmured softly. “Warm, like you’ve been wrapped in sunlight.”
Ghost growled again, deeper this time, the sound vibrating through his chest as his gloved fingers tightened on your waist. He pulled you closer, pressing his masked face against the other side of your neck, and the rumble in his throat sent a shiver down your spine.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” you said, your voice trembling just enough to sell the performance. “I didn’t do anything.”
But the pack wasn’t buying it.
Price’s hand cupped your jaw, his thumb brushing against your cheek as he tilted your face up. Piercing blue eyes searched yours. “You sure about that, love?” he asked, a low grumble that sent heat pooling in your stomach.
Soap pressed a kiss to your collarbone, his teeth grazing the skin lightly as his hands slid beneath your shirt. “Disnnae matter,” he murmured, voice thick with affection and something more primal, more hungry. “Whatever it is, it suits you.”
Gaz hummed in agreement, his lips trailing up the inside of your wrist to the sensitive skin of your palm. “Feels like it’s everywhere,” he said, his voice almost reverent. “Can’t get enough of it. Can’t get enough of you, dove.”
Ghost was silent, but his actions spoke louder than words. He lifted you effortlessly, setting you on the edge of the table with a deliberate slowness that made your heart race. His hands found your thighs, his grip firm but gentle as he leaned in, his masked face pressing against your stomach. The low growl in his chest deepened, a possessive sound that sent a thrill through you.
They were relentless after that.
John claimed your lips, firm and demanding, his hands cupping the back of your neck as he tilted your head back. Soap followed, his kisses trailing along your jaw and down your throat, his hands exploring your body with a reverence that made you shiver.
Gaz and Simon kissed the inside of your thighs, their teeth grazing the sensitive skin there as theirs hands held you steady and open, all theirs.
“Perfect girl,” Simon groaned against the back of your thighs, thick fingers digging into your skin. “Ours. Whatever you’d done- you don’t need it. You’ll always be ours.”
Hours passed in a haze of touch and heat, their attention unyielding as they marked every inch of you as their own. They murmured about your scent between kisses, their words a mix of worship and devotion. You played your part perfectly, letting soft, breathless sounds escape your lips as you clung to them, your innocence a carefully crafted mask.
By the time they were done with you, your were very sure they had rubbed off all the perfume off your body, and covered you with their own scents.
When they finally pulled back, in the nest, their bodies heavy with satisfaction, Price cupped your cheek with gaze still burning with intensity. “You don’t need anything to make us want you,” he said, low but steady. He stared straight at you, so that you would not have any reasons to doubt his words. “You’re already perfect.”
You smiled, letting the words wash over you, but said nothing. Your secret was safe, for now.

anon’s request / link: click here
- second acc: @blushpawss
“you know… i don’t think i’ve ever seen a night like this,” you said softly, looking up at the stars shining in the dark sky.
the air was cool and fresh, wrapping around you like a gentle breeze as you and sylus walked down the almost empty street. it was quiet, with only the distant sound of crickets and the occasional rustle of leaves.
you and sylus had discussed and planned this night out a few days ago, even though he lived far away in a place called onychinus. it was a big dangerous city far from linkon, where you lived. getting to linkon from onychinus took him hours, but he didn’t seem to mind.
never to him at all, when it comes to you.
“distance isn’t a problem,” he had told you over the phone, his voice calm and steady. “i’ll be there. all you have to do is say yes.”
of course, you had agreed. the thought of him driving all that way just to spend time with you made your heart race. you could almost hear him smile through the phone when you said yes.
“then it’s a plan,” he replied, as if the long drive was nothing.
now, as you strolled outside together under the night sky, you felt grateful. he had come all this way just to be with you. when he arrived, you felt a thrill seeing him step out of his sleek black car, his eyes finding yours as he walked toward you.
sylus looked at you from the side, his expression hard to read as always, but there was a slight smile at the corner of his mouth. “guess it’s not often you’re out this late,” he said, his voice low and smooth, with a bit of his usual confidence. even though he was usually serious, you had learned to see the small ways he showed his softer side—mostly when he was with you.
and you find that adorable, however.
“maybe not,” you replied, a lighthearted tone in your voice. “but i like it… it’s peaceful.”
you had been walking together for a while, enjoying the cool night air. he had suggested this place earlier—a quiet little park just outside the city, away from the bright lights and noise. with the moon low in the sky, shining soft silver light on the path, it felt like a different world, one where time slowed down, and it was just the two of you.
you felt a small warmth in your chest that grew stronger when you were with him. the way he walked a bit closer to you tonight, his hand sometimes brushing against yours, made your heart beat a little faster. there was something calm and charming about him that made you feel safe, even when you felt a strange dizziness you couldn’t shake off. you had been feeling a bit off since earlier, but the moment felt too perfect to ruin with your worries. maybe it was nothing—a little tiredness or a chill in the air.
maybe.
“are you sure you’re alright?” he asked suddenly, his eyes focused on you as he noticed you swaying a bit. sylus had a way of noticing things that others might miss, and his attention to detail was almost surprising.
“yeah… i’m good, really,” you assured him, managing a small smile. “just a little lightheaded.” you laughed softly, trying to brush it off, though you could feel his gaze linger, a crease forming on his brow.
he didn’t buy it; you could tell by how he slowed his steps and focused completely on you. “we don’t have to keep walking,” he said, stopping and looking down at you with a mix of concern and determination. “we can go back to the car if you need to rest for a bit.”
“no, no… i’m fine, really,” you insisted, trying to sound convincing, but even to yourself, it felt weak. you wanted to stay and enjoy just a few more moments of this rare peace with him.
but that’s when it happened.
you felt the world tilt, the stars above becoming blurry and slipping away. your knees felt weak, and your vision faded to a soft blur. before you realized it, the ground seemed to disappear beneath you.
───────── ౨ৎ ─────────
when you opened your eyes, everything felt different. the cool night air was still there, but it felt warmer now, and you understood why—it was sylus. he was holding you in his arms, his strong grip supporting you. his expression was unusually soft, showing a rare vulnerability in his normally steady gaze. his voice was quiet, but it felt like a warm blanket around you.
“hey… you’re awake,” he said, relief laced in his tone. “just take it easy.”
you blinked, still feeling a bit confused, trying to understand what was happening. “what… what happened?” you asked softly, your voice shaking. it was a strange feeling to be so vulnerable, and the look in his eyes—something like worry—made it feel even more real.
“you fainted,” he said, his voice softer than you had ever heard. one of his hands was gently on your back, holding you close, while his other hand held yours, making you feel secure. “just breathe, okay? you’re safe.”
a wave of embarrassment washed over you as you realized what had happened. “i… i’m sorry,” you mumbled, feeling a flush rise to your cheeks. “i didn’t mean to scare you…”
“don’t apologize,” he said, his voice strong but soft with unexpected kindness. “it’s not your fault. if anything, i should have noticed sooner.” he changed his grip a little, gently brushing his thumb along your shoulder in a way that felt almost unreal.
you took a shaky breath, feeling a little more steady, but still shaken by everything that happened. fainting was something you had never experienced before, and how sudden it was made you feel vulnerable, like you were on unsteady ground. “it… it’s never happened before,” you whispered, looking up at him, trying to hide the fear still in your eyes. “i didn’t know what to do…”
his gaze softened even more, which was rare to see. “you don’t have to know what to do. that’s what i’m here for,” he said quietly, his fingers tracing gentle circles on your shoulder, his touch comforting. “it’s okay to lean on me, you know? you don’t always have to be so strong.”
his words wrapped around you, calming the panic in your chest. sylus was always a loving presence, and even in moments like this, his affection shone through. every gentle touch and soft word felt like a promise that he would always be there for you. he helped you sit up, keeping his arm around your shoulders to steady you, his grip strong and reassuring.
“still dizzy?” he asked, his voice soft but full of quiet concern that made your heart ache in a good way.
“just a little,” you admitted, feeling a bit more stable now but still grateful for the warmth of his arm around you. “thank you, sylus… really. i don’t know what i would have done without you.”
he let out a soft laugh, shaking his head a little. “you think i’d let you faint without doing something?” his lips turned up into a small smile, a hint of his usual bold confidence coming back. “besides, if it’s you who needs me, i don’t mind being a little less… myself.”
his words made your heart skip a beat, and their meaning settled over you. for someone like sylus, who was so confident and calm, it meant a lot to know he would let his guard down just for you. he wasn’t just saying it—he was showing it with every careful movement and every gentle touch.
after a while, he helped you get back up, guiding you carefully to a nearby bench under the trees, where the moonlight filtered softly through the leaves. you both sat there in comfortable silence, your small hand still held tightly in his large hands, his thumb tracing gentle circles on your skin.
“just promise me something,” he murmured, breaking the silence, his voice barely above a whisper.
“anything,” you replied, meeting his gaze.
“next time, don’t hide it. i’d rather know you’re not okay than find out like this,” he said, his eyes serious and filled with so much unspoken care.
you nodded, giving his hand a gentle squeeze. “i promise.” then, you leaned your head against his shoulder, letting the quietness of the night surround you both. you knew that as long as he was beside you, you’d never have to face anything alone again. as you sat there, sylus kept his arm draped around your shoulders, steadying you with every gentle movement. he didn’t let go, as if to reassure you that he wasn’t going anywhere. a soft breeze rustled through the trees, bringing the scent of night-blooming flowers. even though the air felt cool against your skin, his presence kept you warm.
“let’s get you some water,” he said, his voice a smooth murmur, laced with concern. “i parked a little ways back. can you stand?”
you nodded slowly, still feeling a bit shaky, but his hand on your back gave you strength. he helped you rise from the bench, his touch careful yet firm. as you swayed slightly, he immediately moved closer, wrapping an arm around your waist. “easy now,” he said, his voice low but steady. “i’ll take you.”
with surprising ease, he lifted you off the ground, cradling you against him. the warmth of his body enveloped you, and you instinctively relaxed in his hold. it felt both comforting and safe, easing the fear that had been building in your chest. you caught the glances of a few passersby, but in that moment, all you could focus on was sylus.
“hold on tight,” he said with a hint of a smirk, though you could hear the seriousness beneath it. “i promise i won’t drop you.”
as he carried you toward his car, the world around you began to blur, the sounds of the night fading into the background. the soft crunch of gravel beneath his shoes was the only noise as he approached the sleek vehicle parked a few meters away. when you reached the car, he gently opened the passenger door and carefully placed you inside.
“there you go,” he said, his tone lightening as he made sure you were settled in comfortably. “now, just relax for a moment. i’ll be right back.”
you watched him as he closed the door and walked toward a nearby convenience store. he moved with a smoothness that always caught your attention, even in a rush. his broad shoulders were strong and made his waist look smaller. you could see his biceps flexing slightly as he walked, showing off the muscles under his fitted shirt. his abs were well-defined, tightening a little with each step he took.
when he turned to look back at you, the streetlights lit up his strong jaw and the light stubble on his face, making him look even more charming. you leaned back in the soft leather seat, still feeling a bit dizzy but thankful he was there. the cool air from the car’s air conditioning felt nice against your skin.
as he went into the store, you admired how he carried himself, a mix of confidence and grace. it was always nice to see him move like that, reminding you how strong and supportive he was, especially in moments like this. you felt warmth inside, not just from his presence but from how much he cared for you.
after a few moments, you took a deep breath, trying to shake off the lingering light-headedness. sylus returned quickly, a water bottle in one hand and a small bag in the other. he climbed back into the car, his expression a mix of relief and determination.
“i got you water and some snacks,” he said, handing you the bottle first. “you need to stay hydrated.”
you unscrewed the cap, taking a few small sips, the coolness refreshing against your dry throat. sylus watched you carefully, his gaze never leaving your face as if he was making sure you were okay. once you finished drinking, he handed you a small pack of crackers.
“here, eat these,” he urged, his voice low and steady. “it’ll help with your energy.” you took a cracker, nibbling at it while he kept his eyes on you, his presence calming you.
“thank you for coming back so quickly,” you said, feeling a warmth spread through your chest at his care.
“wouldn’t dream of leaving you alone after that,” he replied, his tone casual yet sincere. “not a chance.” he settled back in his seat, his body angled toward you, ready to offer support at a moment’s notice.
as you continued to nibble on the crackers, he leaned closer, his hand finding yours, fingers intertwining in a comforting grip. “you scared me, you know,” he admitted quietly. “when i saw you sway like that, it felt like the world stopped for a moment. i just... i couldn’t let anything happen to you.”
the weight of his words settled between you, his usual confident facade dropping just enough for you to see the worry behind it. you felt a swell of emotion in your chest, and you squeezed his hand tighter.
“i’m sorry,” you said softly, feeling guilty for causing him concern. “i thought i could handle it.”
“it doesn’t matter,” he replied, shaking his head slightly. “just promise me that if you ever feel off again, you’ll tell me right away. no hiding it.” his voice held a firm yet gentle tone, as though he was reminding you once more, giving you a silent promise that he would always be there to help.
“i promise,” you said, feeling reassured by his care. the way he was looking at you made you feel safe, like nothing could hurt you as long as he was by your side.
after a while, you started to feel more like yourself, the snack helping to ease the light-headedness. as you leaned back in your seat, you took a moment to appreciate the night sky outside the window, the stars twinkling brightly against the dark backdrop.
“do you want to stay here for a little while longer?” he asked, noticing your gaze. “i can turn the car on for a bit if it gets too warm.”
“i think i’d like that,” you replied, feeling a sense of calm wash over you.
he nodded and turned on the car, filling the interior with a soft hum. he shifted in his seat to face you fully, resting his arm casually against the back of the passenger seat. “tell me more about what you want to do when you feel better,” he said, a teasing glint in his eyes. “i’m all ears. and i’ll always be right by your side, even if it means facing any challenges.”
as his warm words wrapped around you, you realized that what happened earlier was behind you. in this moment, with sylus next to you and the stars shining bright above, everything felt right again.

Might I request Vil and/or Idia with a s/o who has a habit of doodling on their skin? In specific they tend to draw on their non-dominant hand. It's usually just a star here, a crescent moon there, maybe the stray card suit every now and again. But one day the hand doodle is instead a bunch of lines flowing into each other, some thicker others thinner. The end result kinda looks like a bunch of thorns.
Perhaps the characters' general reaction to the skin drawing when they first find out about it, as well as the scenario described above?
-🥀🪻anon (if that is alright)
(Hello 🥀🪻anon 😁)
Vil Schoenheit
When he first notices the doodles:
At first, Vil catches sight of the little drawings during a shared study session, when your sleeve rides up slightly as you flip a page. A small star glimmers faintly in smudged ink across the back of your hand.
He blinks.
“Darling,” he says, raising a perfectly plucked brow, “did someone draw on you, or have you taken to decorating yourself like a notebook margin?”
When you shyly admit it’s your own handiwork—a habit, just little things when you’re thinking or zoning out—Vil’s tone softens. Just a bit.
“I’d prefer you not stain your skin, but… it’s not completely without charm.”
He starts watching for new doodles—making offhanded comments like “That crescent would look better with a sharper arch” or “Hearts again? Feeling romantic?” Eventually, he buys you fine-tipped skin-safe pens in a rainbow of colors and high-quality makeup remover—practical, but still thoughtful.
When he sees the thorny lines:
It’s after a long week, stress coiled in both your shoulders and his. You're curled up on the sofa in his dorm room, hand resting palm-down on your knee. Vil approaches with two glasses of infused water and freezes mid-step.
“...What is that?”
Your hand is covered in thick, dark lines—some like vines, others jagged like thorns. The design isn’t random this time; it spirals, tenses, curls. It looks almost angry.
Vil sets the glasses down with care and kneels in front of you, gently taking your wrist in his hand.
“Sweetheart,” he murmurs, brushing his thumb across your knuckles, “this isn’t like your usual drawings.”
He doesn’t jump to conclusions—but he doesn’t ignore it either. His voice becomes quiet, almost coaxing.
“Was this just idle sketching… or are you trying to say something?”
If you brush it off, he won’t push—but he’ll watch you closely after. If you admit you were upset or stressed, his expression tightens, and he presses a kiss to the side of your hand.
“I’d rather you come to me, before your hands become canvases of pain.”
And he means it. After that, he pays more attention to your non-dominant hand than ever—like a barometer for your heart.
Idia Shroud
When he first notices the doodles:
The first time Idia sees your doodles is during a gaming night. You reach for a controller, and he sees a little star and spade etched on your fingers.
He kind of malfunctions for a second.
“Wha—you… draw on yourself? Like, on purpose?”
His hair flickers orange with interest. He scoots closer, peering at your hand like it’s an ancient artifact.
“That’s kinda… cool. And retro. It’s like an NPC with flavor text written on their body. Uh, not in a creepy way! I mean—it’s cool!!”
From then on, he lowkey loves spotting new drawings. He’s too awkward to comment every time, but he notices. Sometimes he’ll awkwardly say, “That one looks like a mana circuit,” or compare your crescent moons to ones from his favorite JRPGs.
He even starts sending you memes and reference pics: “This flower looks like the one you drew on Thursday. Just saying.”
When he sees the thorny lines:
It’s late—your wrist resting on his desk as you both work on some coding for a club project. He glances down to ask a question and immediately stops.
His eyes lock on your hand.
Those aren’t your usual scribbles.
The lines twist and intersect—sharp angles like brambles, elegant but tense. They remind him of curse marks, or the corrupted glyphs in a horror visual novel.
He doesn’t speak at first, just hovers his hand over yours, as if afraid to touch it.
“…Hey.”
His voice is soft. Hesitant. Different from his usual rambling.
“Is this, like, a vibe thing? Or are you… okay?”
If you try to brush it off, he gets quiet—but his hair flickers violet-blue with worry.
“…It’s just. You’re usually all stars and sparkles and—this one looks like it came from a bad end route.”
If you tell him it’s stress or something emotional, he goes full support mode in his own awkward way. He doesn’t know how to comfort with words, so instead he gently takes your hand and starts tracing around the thorns—not erasing, just acknowledging.
“…It’s okay. Even thorny roses are still roses. Just… let me know if the vines start creeping too far, okay?”
And later, he makes you a custom pen that glows faintly and can only draw with skin-safe ink. A little light, so he can always find your marks in the dark.

date started: 7:08PM, february 16th, 2025. date finished: 8:45PM, february 25th, 2025.

The moon cloaks itself amidst the twilight to leave room for the stars to illuminate the sky. Thousands gather closely together to observe the night's events, and whisper gossip that the breeze tells them. A castle, tall enough to hold the heavens and older than most museums, resides within the forest. Its worn stone enjoys the scenery's tranquility, and the surrounding wildlife serves as a reminder of its reason for standing.
There are two occupants in this castle; The legendary Alucard, A.K.A Adrian Țepeș, and you, his lovely wife. You have been married for almost two-hundred years, and there is nothing that you would change about the life that you have built together. You both enjoy travel, so the adventures that you go on together are eternally endless. Adrian has solidified himself into your soul, and he is part of you that you never wish to do without. In moments where you felt like you couldn't go on, his face came to mind and you remembered just how strong you are.
Adrian knows that the connection that you share will last far beyond the relevance of your immortal lives. Not even at the chance of death will your love's resilience waver, for it is a force stronger than any enemy that you have vanquished together. If you were not in his life, then he would not laugh, smile, ponder or explore as much as he has in your company. Adrian Țepeș is not a man who fears much, but the idea that plagues his mind into restlessness is how much darker his world would be without you in it. Imagining a reality where he lives without your rants about all of the things that he wouldn't think twice about, paired with its angelic echo chanting off of the walls of your home would send him into madness, if not for the comfort of your body lying asleep by his side in your shared bed.
Every day that you spend together is a day that you both cherish, and today has felt particularly special. From dawn 'til dusk, you walked through the forest and discovered things that you hadn't noticed before; The different flowers blooming within the grass or unfamiliar streams, for instance. You have lived in this area for some time now, yet when journeying with Adrian, all sorts of new encounters appeared. It was very fulfilling to wander out with him to see what awaited you.
Now, your exciting day has come to a close, and both of you agreed that the best way to wind down before bed was to stargaze together. You stand on one of many bridges of the palace, your hands resting on the cold stone railing while your eyes sparkle just as brightly as the stars you stare at. Adrian stands not far behind you, a smile gracing his pale lips as he admires the great darkness above. Every once in awhile, he will look back at you and treasure the warmth that pools within his chest. Your joy while looking up at the stars is more beautiful than any twinkling light in the sky, and if he spent his night watching you like this instead, then he would be just as content.
Occasionally, you'll point out an exceptionally bright star, or a constellation, and Adrian's eyes will follow where you lead them. You'll tell about the story behind how the constellation was named, and anything else that comes to mind in relation. Being born into a group of Speakers has left a lot of room for you to acquire all sorts of knowledge about a variety of different subjects, and at one point in your life, you found yourself very fascinated with everything related to space. As a result, you did a lot of research on the subject so that you could share it with your family, and anyone crossing your path willing to listen.
Both of Adrian's parents were people of science, so he gathered quite the bounty of information himself, but he would always make an effort to listen to you. No matter how many times you repeat the same tales and facts, he will nod along and asks questions as if it's the first time, just to prompt your endless, passionate rambles. Gaining the opportunity to share your wisdom grants you an ethereal, excitable glow that he will gladly blind himself with, if it means that the last thing he ever sees is your smiling face.
A comforting quiet lingers in the air while you both gaze up at the stars, cherishing the night's delightful weather that provides you the freedom to enjoy this moment together. Sky's stillness suddenly dispels when a star swiftly descends from the shadows, and immediately, it catches Adrian's attention. A blissful, child-like smile graces his lips as he takes a step forward, then points above while announcing, "Look, a shooting star!"
Instantly, your head whips into the direction where Adrian's finger follows, and you see it. Fortunately, before it leaves your view, you are able to make a wish. Many would see it as silly for an over three-hundred year-old vampire to believe in wishing on stars, for you have lived long enough to know that not all myths are true. Regardless, you like the hopefulness that the idea brings; That someone, somewhere is listening, with the goal of helping you achieve your dreams.
Wherever this comet is going, it's in a hurry, for it's leaving as quickly as it came. You squeeze your eyes shut and hold your breath, thinking about what you want most in the world. When you open them, you release the wind trapped inside your throat at the realization that the shooting star has disappeared over the horizon. Disappointment dwells in your heart and on your shoulders briefly before you spin around to look at your husband, whose arm has lowered. His face illuminates with a gentle joy as he gazes into the distance, a display that lightens your disheartenment and replaces it with bliss.
Long ago, you swore that you would commit all of Adrian's smiles to memory, so you take this time to do just that. The radiant expression that he wears is one of wonder, faith and longing, as if he wishes to chase that star to the ends of the Earth. You think that he looks so adorable like this, and you would hate for him to stop, but you become curious as to if he made a wish too, so you ask him, "Did you make a wish, Adrian?"
Blinking out of his awestruck state, golden eyes meet yours. You are so glad that during all of this time, the color of Adrian's eyes never changed. You think that it gives him individuality, and they remind you that through every hardship, you will always have someone at your side to endure it with. Sunshine dims into a soft sadness, which rawly clenches at your heart. Adrian's eyes glance to the ground, a frown on his face while he admits, "Oh, no. I didn't get the chance to."
The vessel which keeps you standing feels like it is being brutally mauled through at this response. Now, Adrian gazes out into the sky with furrowed brows, and your own face falls as his does. While he is skeptical about the idea of wishing on stars, he does find it fun to do sometimes. It didn't even come to mind when he saw it passing by, and seeing just how disappointed he is hurts more than any wound you could ever receive.
You use your quick-thinking skills to come up with something to cheer the dhampir up, when it hits you. You have been studying human magics for one-hundred years, and while you are quite skilled, you do not practice enough to fully achieve your true potential. Typically, you only use your magic on occasion when you're bored to make fun shapes, or when you're in combat with no other choice, but this is just as vital- no, even more-so. This is more dire than any foe that you have vanquished, more monstrous than any beast you have slain; Your sweet husband is sad, and as his wife, you want to make him feel better!
So, you cup your palms together and hold them out in front of you. Adrian notices the shift of your body, and turns to watch as you close your eyes. You focus on your desire, and think about the way that a star feels. You feel a tickling sensation spring its way up your back, as if stardust brushes your skin. Slipping into a deep state of concentration, you reflect on your early studies of magic when a yellow spark erupts into your hands. Adrian watches with fascination while the spark begins to brighten; It begins to take shape, until a thin, golden diamond glows in your grasp.
Adrian is completely blown away by your demonstration, his mouth hung open and eyes gawking widely at what you've just created. You open your eyes and smile at the dumbfounded look on your husband's face, giggling. "Make a wish, Adrian."
Realistically, you both know that this isn't what a star looks like, but that doesn't matter to your man. What matters to him is that it's yours, and it's perfect. For a moment, Adrian is silent, too bewildered by your manifestation to summon his voice. He knows that you are a very talented magician, and he has seen your capabilities at their finest. The fact that you have forged something so precious just to make him happy deeply touches Adrian. A smile adorns the man's face once more, eyes holding a love that is reserved only for you. He reaches a hand over to the side of your face to allow gloved fingers to graze your skin while he leans forward, and presses a gentle kiss to your lips.
You watch as he melts before you, your smile growing wider when seeing that he's happy again. Unexpectedly, he gives you a kiss, and this makes you feel even better. Adrian's lips have a very dastardly power to make you weak; One brush of them, and you feel like you could faint on the spot. His lips are soft, and he tastes of the most captivating spell. You would have dropped the illusion and wrapped your arms around him to properly relay your passion, if you didn't know how meaningful this was to him. Heat crawls its way into your cheeks, and your shoulders have hiked up from surprise, but they slowly lower themselves as you allow your body to relax. You return his kiss and tilt your head slightly to enhance the experience for both of you, and you stand like this for a moment to cherish how perfectly your lips mold together.
Albeit regrettably, Adrian is the one to back away. The sun of his eyes shines brightly with admiration, and the smile on his lips is tender. "I don't need to," He murmurs sweetly.
Seeing this look on the dhampir's face is everything that you could want out of tonight. You have shared a wonderful day together, but this has been the best part of it by far. A crooked grin curls its way your lips, and you give him a knowing look when you decide to tease him, "If you say it's because you have everything you could wish for right here, I'm going to hit you."
Adrian's posture straightens as he throws his head back to laugh. Light blooms within your chest at the sound, one that you would listen to every hour for all of your days if given the chance. Tilting his head upright, he meets your eyes and responds, "Alright, I hear you." Then, he leans over to examine the star in your hands more closely, asking, "Could we save it?" Your husband aligns himself upright again, reuniting your gaze to his while adding, "For my next wish."
You smile at the man, head slightly tilted while fondly gazing at him. Any request of his is one you will gladly satisfy, so you tell him, "I think I can do that."
The look on your face causes Adrian to soften, his shoulders noticeably relaxing a bit more at the sight. "Good." He then turns so that his side faces you, and offers an arm for you to take. "Shall we head to bed now?"
You squeeze your eyes shut and press your lips together harshly, charging all of your energy into the little splendor in your hands before hopping up. With your little bounce, the star shoots up into the sky, stardust hot on its trail, before it lowers down to settle itself floating slightly above you and Adrian. The dhampir turns around to recognize what you've done, that same stupefied expression on his face. You see it and laugh, an arm coming over your stomach as you take a step back and point at him. You gather yourself shortly after, and brush away any lingering dust on your clothes before you turn to face where Adrian is to take his arm. "Let's go."
It's only when you make contact with him that your husband comes out of his shock, his face relaxing when seeing yours and a smile decorating his lips. "As you wish."
With that, you head into the castle to begin your nightly routine. The star you created twirls around you both the entire way, and you laugh at mystical friend's enthusiasm. Love has brought you two a long way, and you guarantee that it will take you even farther. In every life, you know that Adrian would do anything to make you happy, and he knows that you would do the same.

DARK SIDE OF THE MOON ♡
pairing: redk!clark kent x fem!reader x soulless!sam winchester
summary: your boyfriend sam has been acting strange lately. good thing your other boyfriend clark is willing to help you figure out what's going on with him. unfortunately for you, he doesn't get very far before he starts acting weird too.
cw: nsfw (18+), au, smut, mild dubcon, threesome, p in v, oral (f & m receiving), fingering, facefucking, overstimulation, praise/degradation, hints of asphyxiation kink
a/n: comm for my wife @fearcvlt. thank you to the anon who infected us with the sam-clark disease 🙏 also i know sam doesn't lose his soul till season 6 but it's my fic so this is early seasons sam. don't like it kiss me about it.
Sam has been acting weird lately.
You’re not sure what it is. You can’t pinpoint an exact detail about him that’s shifted. From the surface, he looks the same. He still dresses the same. His voice sounds the same. His hands and mouth feel the same. It drives you crazy, not being able to narrow down what you mean. What you know has changed.
Because while the alterations are imperceptible, you know they’re real. All of that stuff hasn’t changed on a technical level, but to you, his girlfriend, someone who knows his very being like the palm of your own hand, it’s not the same.
Physically, he’s your Sam. The one you’ve been with since your second semester of college. His dark brown hair hangs too close to his eyes like always. The warmth in his hands radiates with regularity as they coast across your and Clark’s bodies. His words reach your ears in the soft, calculated manner you’ve come to expect from him.
But you swear on everything you have in this world, on both your lovers’ lives, that all of this comes with a new note of unfamiliarity.
While his appearance hasn’t changed, the way his eyes land upon your face has. His gaze feels cold. It nearly stings when it connects with your own. You may recognize his touch, but he’s rougher now. He doesn’t handle you like a cherished doll, nor does he explore Clark with his usual reverence. Instead he tugs and he grabs. His fingers dig into flesh harder than ever before. Scratches and bruises litter the two of you after a night spent together. And while his voice rings out just like it did when you met him in your first criminal justice class all those years ago, the tender embellishments in his sentences have vanished. Vacant silences lie where sweetheart and honey used to appear.
You sound like a lunatic describing it.
“Can’t you just talk to him?” you plead with Clark for the third time this week. You attempt persuasion by flaunting your puppy eyes at him, but he just shakes his head.
He stands before the full length mirror in the corner of your bedroom while pulling on his shirt. The hazy morning light shines through the nearby window onto his physique, highlighting the contours of muscle decorating his abdomen before they’re covered up by the scarlet sweater he chooses to wear today.
“I don’t know what you want me to say, baby,” he responds, gazing at you through the reflection.
You boost yourself off your mattress where you’d been sprawled out. Approaching him from behind, you snake your arms around his waist and press your cheek to his firm back. He doesn’t have to face you to know the pout that’s taken residence on your lips.
“Well, I can’t think of everything,” you huff, “Just maybe see if something’s wrong. Like maybe we did something and we don’t know-”
“You’re overthinking,” he cuts in while fastening his belt into place.
“You don’t know that because you’ve never actually asked. Maybe he feels like he can’t tell us what’s bothering him for some reason. Or it could be like a guy thing. He blows me off whenever I try to help, so maybe he’ll be more comfortable with just you,” you insist.
He sighs and shakes his head again, reaching for the brush nearby. Clark’s hair rarely ever falls out of place. The only moments you can recall seeing him disheveled are those when he lays in bed with you and Sam, nude body coated in a light sweat and pressed against each of yours. Yet he tends to his black tresses more often than you take care of your own hair.
“It’s not a guy thing,” he chuckles, “He just doesn’t wanna talk about whatever’s going on in his head. You know how he gets sometimes. I’m sure he’ll bounce back soon.”
“But it’s been like over a month. Ever since he went on that trip with his brother, he’s been weird,” you continue, squeezing him as if that would somehow convince him of your point.
“You know his childhood is a sore spot. Maybe being around him brought up some bad memories,” he offers and shrugs.
“But he would have told us about that,” you refute.
You release Clark from your hold as he turns around, his outfit all ready for the day. As you look up at him, your eyes remain full of concern for the absent part of your trio. Your present boyfriend smirks at the worried expression before cupping your cheeks and planting a soft kiss on your lips.
“It’s gonna be ok, babe. He’ll be ok,” he murmurs.
You nod. “Just if you get the chance… please talk to him,” you try once more.
“I will,” he agrees. His hands fall to your waist where they knead the flesh lightly.“Try not to worry too much today, alright? We got that party tonight. You’re gonna look all pretty, we’re gonna have fun, and everything’s gonna be fine.”
He kisses you once more before walking towards the bedroom door. You nod in response to his words and force your shoulders to relax. The mention of his work party you were all going to attend later helps a little to distract you. At the very least it gives you something else to think about for the time being.
Before he heads out, you blow him a kiss like you always do. He pretends to catch it, flashing those fangs of his in a lazy grin.
“I’ll see you tonight,” he says before finally leaving your view.
Despite your assurance to Clark, you spend much of the day thinking about Sam and possible causes for his perpetually sour mood. Unfortunately, you can’t think of anything that seems like a realistic possibility.
While your anxiety wants you to blame yourself, you really don’t believe something you did is responsible. And he had gone on that trip with his brother a month ago, but they’d been going on their ‘hunting trips’ pretty regularly for the last two years. He never got like this afterwards. Even when his brother annoyed him, he’d just vent about it to the two of you before letting it go.
You try to reason that law school might be getting more stressful. All of his free time not allocated to you and Clark, or to his brother in the Impala, goes to textbooks. He spends hours poring over notes and articles and journals. Maybe that’s it. You try to convince yourself it could be. At least until he and Clark come home for the night with hopefully a more concrete answer.
As the day shifts into evening, you busy yourself with getting ready for the party tonight. It wasn’t anything too fancy. Just some gathering the paper Clark now worked at was throwing. As a new hire, he was one of the employees being celebrated, warranting your and Sam’s invitations.
It’s around six-thirty when you finally hear the front door open. Two pairs of shoes shuffle in. Good. That means Clark met him on campus or Sam drove over to Clark's job after his last class. There would be plenty of time to talk over the course of the distance between your shared house and either of those locations.
You put your earrings back down on the dresser and approach the door, straining your ears in hopes of scoping out any tense silences or relieved chatter. In the kitchen, you can hear the fridge open and then close. A sigh. You narrow your eyes. Was it a sigh of tiredness from work or frustration at the other man? The words that follow answer your question.
“She’s just worried about you,” Clark says. You bite your lip, sensing this may not be going well.
“Yeah, I know. She doesn’t do a great job of disguising that,” Sam responds.
“Then just talk to her. It’s only still a problem because you’re being cagey.”
“I’m being cagey because there’s nothing to talk about. She’s looking for something that isn’t there, insisting-”
You step through the doorway and head towards the sound of their voices. Barefoot and with the zipper on your dress only halfway pulled, you enter the room to join them. Sam finishes his sentence as both his and Clark’s eyes set on you.
“Hi,” you interrupt weakly.
The taller of the two rolls his eyes while your other boyfriend raises his brows in acknowledgement before taking another sip of his drink.
“I just… heard you both talking and thought I should come in here…” you continue. It’s only been a few seconds, but already, it’s starting to feel like you should have waited for them to come to you.
You walk a couple more paces into the space, finding yourself standing equidistant from both your lovers. Your gaze alternates between them before focusing on Sam.
“I know I’m probably worrying over nothing. And I know you said nothing is wrong,” you say, keeping your tone as neutral as you can, “You just seem different. And maybe nothing is actively wrong, but I just want you to know if something happened or like if you’re thinking about something differently that me and Clark-”
“You’ll what? What will you both do?” he asks, “I don’t know what you want from me. Do you want me to make up some problem that doesn’t exist so you can feel accomplished when you fix it?”
“No,” you answer right away, hurt infecting your features.
“Then what?”
“I don’t know…” you say. Your resolve wilts away with each second his harsh eyes stare at you.
“Just stop then. Stop asking me to give you a reason, stop talking about me behind my back, just stop,” he rants, “Did you ever consider you might be projecting? That maybe something is different with you that you don’t want to accept.”
“What?” you ask. Your pained expression infuses with a bout of confusion.
“Think about it. Me and Clark, we know what we’re doing everyday. I’m going to school, he’s going to work. We have our plans in place. You? What are you doing? Ever since you graduated last year, you’ve been floundering, bouncing from idea to idea. Maybe you’re the one who’s fallen off the tracks, but you can’t admit it,” he accuses.
Your eyes widen. That statement cuts you deep, through multiple layers. It is the truth in a sense, but to have it thrown in your face by someone who supposedly cares about you hurts worse than you would have anticipated.
“That’s not true,” you deny.
“Yes it is, and you know it. You wanna blame me for how you’re feeling. You’re losing control of your own life so you want to find something you can fix,” he continues.
“Sam, stop,” Clark interjects on your behalf.
You just stand there, feeling even more lost than you had earlier. He was acting different. You were sure of it. But now you also feel like he maybe has a point. What if he is acting the exact same, and you’re the one losing your grip? Clark hasn’t been as concerned as you, and maybe that’s for a reason.
“What?” Sam says, his eyes flitting towards your other boyfriend, “She’s allowed to talk about me, but I can’t defend myself?”
“You’re not defending yourself, you’re attacking her,” Clark responds before sighing. He puts his drink down and walks closer to the both of you. “Both of you just need to take a second and calm down.”
In the pause that follows, the pain Sam’s words caused doesn’t subside. The throb only emanates from deeper inside your chest. You glance up at your darker-haired boyfriend before turning to the one you could barely recognize.
“I’m not trying to make you defend yourself. I really just feel like something’s been up with you lately. But if you say there isn’t, then there isn’t, and I won’t mention it again,” you finally say.
“There isn’t,” he tells you without more than a second of consideration.
Awkward quiet settles for more than a pause now. You’re not sure if you can just act normal after that, but you don’t want to create more tension by hightailing it to the bedroom. Both of them seem to go with the former. Clark meanders his way back to the counter while Sam turns and digs through his bag for something.
You decide it might be best to follow along. Swiveling on your heel, you walk away from the kitchen and down the hall towards your shared bedroom to finish getting ready. The silence no longer feels calm; it weighs down on you, pressing hard enough to crack.
As you dust powder across your cheek bones and eyelids, you force your breaths to remain even. You swallow hard to prevent your eyes from watering. The mascara wand coats your lashes with black that will stream down your skin if you shed any tears. For a final touch, you spread some sticky gloss over your lips, watching in the mirror how they shine with the glittery substance.
When your face is painted to your liking, you pull on a pair of tights under the crimson fabric of your dress and then sit on the edge of your bed to slip on your shoes. While fumbling with the one on your left foot, you hear another person enter the room.
Your pupils dart towards the door to find Clark there with a sheepish smile.
“Hey,” he starts gently, “You almost ready?”
You just nod, not really in a chatty mood.
He returns the gesture and comes closer, approaching as if you’re a wounded animal.
“You look really beautiful, baby,” he compliments.
“Thanks.”
“Here. Let me help,” he offers and crouches before you.
He takes your leg between his large hands, rubbing up and down over the smoothness of your tights for a moment. His fingers then fall to the sleek strap causing you hassle. He pushes the little piece of material through the metal clasp. Despite the size of his digits, they move with nimble precision.
“He didn’t mean that stuff he said,” he tells you, voice quiet enough that it wouldn’t leave the bedroom.
“Then why didn’t he come in here?” you ask. Your voice quivers a little bit. You know Clark hears it from the way his big, blue eyes lift to connect with your own.
“He’s just being pissy right now. But I know he didn’t mean it, alright? Neither of us think you’re off track, but even if you were, it’s not the end of the world. You still have time to figure things out. We love you either way,” he says, patting your leg.
Almost as an extra gesture of reassurance, he plants a soft kiss on your kneecap. It’s intended to be innocent. Something wholesome to let you feel the pure love he’s trying to pour into you with his words. But you can’t help but feel a flicker of desire in your belly. The sight of it only serves to remind you of how he does that when he’s spreading your legs apart and kissing up your inner thighs to somewhere much more intimate.
“He’ll come around. For the record, he is acting different. It’s not just you,” he reassures, reaching up to take your chin between his thumb and forefinger.
The look in your eyes has softened from one of hurt to something more tender. You nod in response, and he smiles.
“That’s my girl. Don’t look so sad anymore. I wanna show off how beautiful you are tonight. Can’t do that if you don’t let anyone see that pretty smile,” he praises.
Your face lifts with the expression he describes. It only increases the curve of his own lips. He rewards you with a small peck. When he pulls away, you can see a splotch of lip gloss on his cupid’s bow. It’s tempting to try and wipe it away with another kiss, but instead you take the more effective route and swipe your thumb across the skin.
“Ready?” he asks and reaches for your hand as he rises to his feet again.
You clasp your smaller fingers around his and stand up. “Almost. Zip me up?” you say and turn to show him the semi-closed fabric.
He chuckles fingers finding the zipper and adjusting it for you with ease. “Always.”
You stand with your back pressed against the wall, drink in hand, eyes surveilling the room. It’s only around nine o’clock, but you’re more than ready to go home. You keep a smile on your face for Clark’s sake, not wanting to look miserable around the people he has to see on a daily basis.
The party isn’t even horrible. It’s just fine. The ritzy hotel dining room they rented out is fine. The music playing at a reasonable volume in the background is fine. The food is fine. The drinks are fine. The smalltalk is fine. Fine. Fine. Fine. It’s all fine.
Including you. You’re fine too. Not at all upset about earlier. The car ride here had been dead silent. No apology from Sam. Not even a word of acknowledgement. But that’s ok! You could deal with it.
Once the three of you had arrived and made your way inside, you introduced yourselves like you always did, clear enough to convey that you were all a package deal but vague enough to not draw the ire of less open-minded people. From there, you let Clark tell some stories about the both of you. You made sure to laugh at all his jokes, smile at him with the most adoring eyes, and sing his praises to any person who wanted to hear them.
After a while of that, he turned you both loose. You first grabbed some appetizers and a drink and then landed where you are now. Sam had trailed close behind you even though he still wasn’t saying anything.
He’s beside you against the wall. His shoulder leans against it, his body angled towards yours. You can feel his eyes drifting along your figure, but you don’t give in to the temptation of a response.
“You gonna freeze me out all night?” he asks.
“I don’t know. Do you plan on apologizing at all?” you ask, passive aggression lacing in every word.
He exhales a laugh and reaches for your face. His fingers guide your head, forcing you to look at him.
“Is that what you need, baby?” he mocks, “You need me to say sorry?”
You scowl and try to look away, but his digits dig into your skin. He keeps you right where he wants you. Leaning in close to you, his breath fans across your neck.
“Would it really make you feel better if I said I didn’t mean it? Would it really change anything about how you feel? I don’t think so,” he murmurs, “I think you’d like it more if I kissed it better.”
The low tone of voice combined with his proximity fires up that warmth in your tummy you felt earlier. You try to suppress it and maintain your glare.
“What are you doing?” you ask with annoyance, craning your neck for some space.
“What? I thought you’d wanna make up,” he says.
“I- It’s not that. We’re at a party for Clark’s work. It’s not like we’re high schoolers who can just go find some closet to make out,” you huff, “Plus, you definitely are acting different now. You’re always the explainer, and Clark is always the one who wants to kiss things better.”
That brings a small smirk to his face. “We can’t? Or we shouldn’t?” he teases. He moves in again, the tip of his nose brushing your cheek. “Maybe you’re right. Maybe I have been a little different lately. But why is that a bad thing? I feel great.”
“Yeah, but it’s not great when you’re being mean all the time now…”
“Mean? Or direct?” he asks, “I’ve never said anything to hurt you. Even when you think I’m being mean, I’m only speaking without sugar coating because I know you can take it. And I know that sometimes you need to hear it. You’re strong. Just as smart as me and Clark. You just need a little push sometimes.”
Your heart beats quicker in your chest. His words are one thing, but the way his rich eyes peer into yours are another. His thumb drags back and forth across your bottom lip now, almost as if coaxing some form of a response.
“It’s still mean even if you don’t intend it that way. It still hurts,” you say. Even if your face can’t move, your eyes fall. “I miss the you who wasn’t so sharp all the time.”
You soften your words, hoping to break the tough exterior that had shielded him for the last month. Though you see no change in his expression. No shift in his gaze.
“You’ll have to learn to love this one just as much then,” he replies.
It stings. The words slice like a blade. He doesn’t care about the falter on your face though. He ducks in, kissing along your jaw to your earlobe. A small gasp leaves you at the soft, wet touches. You squirm in place, nearly spilling your drink as the liquid sloshes within the confines of the glass.
“I can show you how. Just gotta let me,” he whispers. His hand falls from your face to your neck, wrapping it in a seductive embrace.
Your eyes flutter, and for a split second, you want to give in. His lips on your skin feel like traces of heaven. The soft words he speaks hit your ears like gentle caresses lulling you into compliance. But then you remember where you are and who you're here for.
“Sam, stop,” you whimper.
But he doesn’t pull back. He doesn’t just stay in place either. His hand tightens around your throat. It digs in a little, pressing you against the wall. You can still breathe just fine, but the threat of air loss is right there, teasing you just barely.
Your eyes widen now. Sam had never been so aggressive in the bedroom before, let alone in public.
“We’re here for Clark. You’re gonna embarrass him,” you remind.
“He’s a big boy. He can handle it,” he breathes.
Before you can squeak out any more words of protest, a large hand is curling over Sam’s shoulder and tugging him back. Clark looks at him with a raised brow before his focus shifts to you.
“I guess you two made up?” he asks.
You open your mouth to clarify with some version of what actually happened, but Sam cuts you off. “Something like that.”
He takes you by the wrist, spinning so that he’s against the wall while you’re in front of him with your back against his chest. His chin rests atop your head as his hands rub your arms. Clark looks on, almost suspicious at the complete flip in attitudes.
“So how much longer do we have to be here? They’ve already played ‘Mr. Brightside’ like three times. This thing’s gotta be winding down soon, and I’m pretty eager to get back so we can make up some more,” Sam says.
“Not too much longer,” Clark says, the words slow and edged with uncertainty, “I’ll start saying goodbyes.”
You nod gratefully, your appreciation shining through even without words. Sam smirk prevails on his face yet again.
“Sounds good. Just don’t take too long or we might have to get a head start without you,” he says. His tone indicates he’s teasing, but with how he’s acting, you wouldn’t put it past him to try something like that.
“I won’t. Just give me a few,” Clark responds simply before drifting back into the crowd to say bye to the important people.
He keeps his word and only takes a few minutes. If he had taken any longer, you aren’t confident you would have noticed. You feel like you have whiplash from the way Sam has latched himself onto your body. Earlier he spoke like he couldn’t stand you, but now he clings to you like he’d be willing to bend you over one of the nearby folding tables and bring some real excitement to this party.
You try brushing him off, redirecting his hands to places that wouldn’t earn you side eyes from your boyfriend’s colleagues. He’s not interested though. Every few seconds it feels like he’s nuzzling into your neck or smoothing his hands over your sides.
“Sam, quit it,” you whisper.
“Why? I don’t need Clark’s hearing to know how fast your heart is going. I know you like it,” he purrs.
The best you can hope for is guiding him to the exit and letting Clark meet you there. When the man in question finally does make his way in your direction, you can see a bit of frustration on his face. Annoyance gleams from his eyes as they sweep over how Sam holds you like a territorial dog with a chew toy.
You want to apologize. You hate when Clark isn’t happy with you, and you really don’t want to end the day having fought with both of them. But before you could get any words of remorse out, Sam’s already leading you through the front door. He keeps a tight grip on your wrist, now allowing you even an inch to pull away.
Clark follows along. His hand lands on the small of your back. The faint touch grounds you a little, but before it can have any real effect, Sam’s yanking you closer, nearly causing you to stumble over the steps that lead you three into the parking lot.
The confusion that permeates your mind has now spread to Clark’s face and replaces his prior irritation.
“What’s gotten into you?” he asks, trailing behind in broad strides.
“What do you mean?” Sam laughs. He turns around, holding you close again once in range of the car. “You got the keys?”
Even though he does in fact have them, Clark makes no move to fetch the small metal keys from his pocket.
“No, seriously. What’s going on with you? One minute you’re ready to bite her head off for worrying about you, and now you wanna jump her bones in the middle of a parking garage?” he says, not letting up.
“I can’t win with you two. She doesn’t like it when I’m being serious, you don’t like it when I’m not. What’s a guy supposed to do, huh?” he says.
“It’s not like that, and you know it,” Clark challenges, “You have been acting weird lately. I let you deny it because I know what it’s like having to keep something to yourself. But pretending like it isn’t happening does nothing, especially when it’s affecting us.”
You stand there with Sam’s arm over your shoulders, looking back and forth between them. It’s not even an argument yet, but with a few wrong words, it would have no issue transforming into one.
“Please. You didn’t care how it affected me and her when you kept your secrets for years. So spare me a lecture,” Sam dismisses, “I don’t have some great secret. People just change over time.”
“Not so rapidly!” Clark fires back, “You went away for one weekend, and a different person came back.”
“I’m still me,” he says, “If you have such a problem with the person you think I’m becoming then maybe I’m not the only one we should be evaluating. Maybe something’s changing between all of us.”
You look at Clark with pure worry now. He hasn’t outright said it, but these words border on the worst potential outcome. Reaching for his hand that dangles off your shoulder, you give it a squeeze and gaze up at him.
His attention shifts to you. He smiles at the nervousness written all over your features.
“Don’t look so scared, baby. We’re not gonna break up. Unless that’s what you two think would be best,” he says. It’s almost a threat. He puts the power in your hands, but it’s not by choice. He’s not offering it to you. He’s forcing it between your palms and pushing your fingers to close around it.
“No,” you respond instantly.
“You know that’s not what I meant,” Clark backs down, his voice dropping a bit.
“Then what did you mean?” Sam asks.
“I just want to know why. Why are you acting like this now? You used to be the reserved one. The one who was always careful about everything. You kept me and her on track. Now, you’re in there acting like a high schooler and making me look like an idiot, being all over her like that.”
“All over her?” he repeats with a chuckle. His arm slithers off your shoulders, leaving your skin exposed to the chilled night air. He takes a few steps towards your other boyfriend. “You jealous, Clark? Because as soon as we got home, you know I’d be all over you too.”
He scoffs and looks away. Truly, you doubt jealousy had been the root of Clark’s discomfort. You would’ve been irritated too if they started getting handsy in front of people you wanted to make a good impression on. But it was hard to not get flustered when confronted so directly. When Sam stalked forward like that.
The brunette slides to Clark’s side and maneuvers himself behind him. His hands flatten against his muscular biceps, rubbing the skin softly through his suit jacket. You watch as his lips brush the shell of Clark’s ear in the same way they had to yours.
“C’mon. You know I don’t play favorites,” he coos.
Your darker-haired lover has his eyes fixated on the car beside you three. You knew the feelings coursing through him right now. The same ones that swirled within you fifteen minutes ago.
Sam’s long fingers move South on Clark’s arms. The tips coast over his elbows and along his forearms before getting to his wrists. You know the exact sensation. Like little lines of fire being drawn across your limbs. Similar to you, Clark goes to resist. He just has the actual strength to carry it out.
He pushes Sam’s hands off and looks over his shoulder. “We’re gonna talk about it. You can’t keep avoiding it and expecting us to just go along with this forever,” he says.
Sam smirks at the assertion. He lets Clark move him away. You notice one of his hands slip into his pocket, but before the act can even register, it’s back out and reaching for your other boyfriend’s wrist again.
“We will talk about it. But not tonight,” he says.
The beginning of a disagreement begins to leave Clark’s lips. But the hand that had reached for his cuts his statement short when it flexes and spreads a thin band over his wrist. Clark looks down at it while you observe with confusion. But then you see a sparkle of red.
Your pupils dart back to Clark’s face. You watch as his eyes flicker with that same ruby color. His shoulders rise, and his chest puffs out with innate pride. He doesn’t have that sweet, lopsided grin; now his lips look sinister and menacing as they curl. You don’t even have to ask what it is. You recognize that look. You know the effects of red kryptonite.
“You’re such an asshole!” you explode at Sam. You step towards him, practically shoving Clark behind you. “Why would you do that?! You know he hates that stuff!”
Your arm swings forward, smacking at his chest. He just laughs and dodges your weak blows. “Calm down. He’ll be fine. I just wanted to help him unwind for the night,” he says.
You go for another strike, aiming for his bicep this time instead. Before your limb can connect, two strong arms have looped around your waist and tugged you back against a firm body.
“He’s right,” Clark chimes in. His chin hooks over your shoulder as he nuzzles into your neck, planting kisses there that make you squirm. “I was letting you get me all wound up. Just needed to take the edge off.”
Without responding, your hands fly to his wrist, desperate to get the bracelet off for him. You’d only seen Clark under the influence of this stuff once before. You really weren’t eager to relive the experience.
But he’s quicker than you. He slides his arm away and spins you around to face him in the process. No longer does your boyfriend have his usual look that likens him to a carefree puppy. Now you stare into the eyes of a wolf.
“Clark-” you start and grab for his wrist again.
He laughs and lifts his arm in the air, dangling his hand a foot over his own head. Much too high for you to reach. Still, you jump and try to pull it down by his elbow.
“That’s not my name you know,” he teases.
You stop jumping and glare at him. “I’m not calling you Kal,” you say flatly, “Give me that. You’re not yourself when that stuff is on you.”
“I’m more myself like this than I am any other time,” he disagrees.
Sam comes up behind you and places his hands on your hips. “Come on. Don’t spoil the fun before it’s really started, babe,” he taunts.
“Get off,” you shoo and shoot him a harsh look as well.
None of your efforts have the intended effect though. Nothing you do intimidates either of your boyfriends whose frames dwarf your own against the side of the car.
“So angry,” Sam mocks. He ducks in and kisses your cheek while Clark grabs your chin and makes you look at him again.
“We just gotta find something that calms you down. You need to let loose sometimes. You’re always so worked up and high strung,” Clark says. He strokes your jaw as Sam brings his mouth down to your throat. He starts laying kisses there, the affection more intense than it had been inside the hotel.
His soft lips glide across your sensitive skin. He licks your pulse, scrapes his teeth over the thumping artery. Your breath hitches. They both can hear it. You know that from how Clark’s smile grows that much more smug.
“You know it feels good,” he coos. He leans in, teasing you with the idea of a kiss. His mouth hovers not even an inch from your own. The warmth of his breath puffs against your skin. With the slightest move the two of you would be touching.
“I can feel how bad you want it,” he murmurs, “So why not give in?”
“It’s not like you could get away anyways,” Sam whispers.
And you know it’s true. You can’t do anything they don’t want, especially not something Clark doesn’t want. They’re bigger and stronger. With Clark’s heightened senses, there’s no hope of hiding either. You know the smart decision here is to give in. To give in and then wait for an opportunity to get that bracelet off him.
However, you can’t even say this is a choice based solely in logic or survival instinct. You want Clark’s lips on yours. You crave more touches from them both. While your rational mind hates these versions of the two of them, your body doesn’t care. Your skin breaks out into chills while your heart rate speeds up all the same.
“You’re gonna regret all of this later,” you whisper to Clark, letting your eyes fall to his plush lips.
“Maybe. But I’m not worried about that. I’m living right now,” he responds.
He closes the gap between the two of you. A soft moan creeps up your throat, escaping against his mouth. You feel him smirk. The sound encourages him to deepen the kiss.
Sam presses closer behind you. He pulls your ass flush against his pelvis and kisses your neck some more. It’s like a flurry all around you. If any of Clark’s coworkers were leaving the party now, this sight would only add to the embarrassment Sam and you caused earlier.
None of you are thinking about that though. You’re completely wrapped up with each other. Your hands have found their way into the dark locks on either side of you. The left one grips Clark’s while your right extends back and tugs on Sam. Heavy breaths blow against your face from multiple angles. Large palms grope at the different curves of your body.
Clark reaches down into his pocket. His fingers fish around for a few moments before pulling out the small set of keys Sam asked about earlier. He pulls off your lips and tugs you to his chest away from Sam.
“You drive,” he says simply, sliding the metallic object into the other man’s hand.
Sam huffs out a laugh. “Seems like you’re more eager than me now.”
He doesn’t resist or argue though. Instead, he taps the unlock button and slides around the back of the car to head to the driver’s side. At the same time, Clark opens the door to the backseat and ushers you in with a pat to your ass.
“You had a taste of her in there. Now it’s my turn,” he grins.
The drive home was a quick one.
It felt like a right turn, a left turn, and then the car slowing as Sam parked it in the driveway. Clark had made good on his words. He took his turn with you. The entire time his hand was up your skirt, his fingers beneath the thin cotton of your panties, drawing little whiny moans from you.
When the vehicle finally came to a full stop, Sam cleared his throat to alert you and Clark. They spoke back and forth a bit, but their specific words eluded you. Before your mind could come down from the high Clark was working you into, they were hauling you inside.
Clothes came off along the way to the bedroom. Clark’s jacket pooled on the floor in the entryway. Your red dress decorated the bannister. Sam’s belt hung around the bedroom door knob.
Now they have you spread before them on the bed. Your panties have abandoned you like the rest of your outfit. You lie bare for their eyes. At the foot of the mattress, they finish undressing themselves. Sam’s in the lead, his fist already stroking his cock while he stares down at you. Beside him, Clark finishes shimmying off his trousers.
“Think it’s my turn again,” Sam says before getting on the bed with you. He takes hold of one of your ankles, pulling the limb aside to spread your legs.
“We can share now. I’m not feeling too patient,” Clark adds. He follows right along with the other man’s movements.
Grabbing your other leg, he pushes it farther away from the other as he crawls towards you. They both descend upon you in sync. With their broad frames, it’s a tight fit, but they manage to both position themselves at the junction of your thighs.
Clark looks to Sam with a big smile across his face. “More fun when we do it together anyways.”
Sam hums in acknowledgement. He stares into those round, blue eyes for a moment more before rotating them to focus on your glistening center. You’re thoroughly slick from Clark’s fingers in the car and all the attention they lavished on you in the parking garage. Two of his digits spread you open. They both gaze at your drippy entrance, your poor swollen clit.
“You don’t even need a warm up tonight, sweetheart. You’re soaked from a few touches,” Sam mocks.
“It was more than a few,” you whimper in defense of yourself.
“Either way… be grateful we’re so nice, willing to give you all this extra attention,” he continues.
“Yeah, especially when you were being so bratty earlier. Talking back, carrying on,” Clark adds.
You whine softly and squirm your hips in an attempt to speed along the teasing. Even with your pouty denial, you know how bad you want them. These words only add to that needy sensation in your belly.
“So desperate,” Sam croons in a low voice.
Luckily for you, Clark doesn’t say anything back. He must have been honest about feeling impatient because instead he just leans in and connects his mouth with your cunt. A sigh bursts from your lips and you tilt your head back against the pillows.
He boosts your thigh over his shoulder and holds it like some sort of handle. His lips kiss your clit a few times, mashing the little bud with their delicate, smooth surface. He then sticks his tongue out and drags it through your arousal. The tip of it sweeps up over your velvety folds and swirls around your button.
Your back arches off the bed. Sam grabs your thigh closest to him and takes it on his shoulder as Clark had done. He turns his head, trailing some kisses over your inner thigh. They start innocent enough, chaste pecks at the most. But as they get closer to your center where Clark is, they grow sloppier. You feel his tongue gliding around in figure eights before his lips engulf the saliva-traced flesh.
When he finally reaches your pussy, you whine loudly. Your eyes flutter, and your heels dig into their backs. They keep you pinned in place, not allowing you to squirm too much or to buck your hips in excitement.
“Good girl,” Clark breathes in a husky tone before sucking on your pulsing clit.
A sharp squeal comes from you. Your toes and fingers curl at the sensation. In the meantime below, Sam prods at your leaky hole with his tongue. At first, he uses broad strokes. He flattens the muscle against your desire-soaked entrance, lapping without shame or hesitance. You moan appreciatively, nice and shameless just how you know they like.
More juices seep out of you as they work you up. That combined with their spit has you thoroughly soaked between your legs. It doesn’t bother them in the slightest. You can see the shimmer of your essence on Clark’s jaw. His eyes are shut, his features relaxed as he showers your tender nub with attention. Sam’s head nods as he licks. It bobs lazily, his nose occasionally bumping Clark’s jaw. He also sports a peaceful expression. It’s the first one on him you’ve seen on him in weeks. He isn’t annoyed or tense or bitter. He’s just lost in the bliss of how good you taste.
Soon, fingers start to get involved. Sam brings his long, slender digits up to slither their way inside of you. He moves his lips North to get more room for them. Clark moves ever so slightly to accommodate him but not by too much. He’s close enough that his nose can still brush against his skin. Close enough that he still feels the occasional swipe of his tongue against his own.
You feel release boiling in the pit of your stomach. Sparkling bursts of ecstasy fizzle from there through all your limbs.
“You gonna cum, baby?” Sam rasps. He pumps his fingers in and out faster, curling them against your clenching walls.
“Mhm,” you force out. Your eyes screw shut while you nod, your head wagging rapidly.
“Go ahead, honey. Cum for us. Show us how good you feel,” Clark hums. He flicks his tongue at your clit just as quickly as your head moves above.
In a matter of seconds, you shriek. Your thighs quiver against the sides of their heads. You roll your hips into the pleasure while clutching at the sheets. Sam’s fingers dig harder into the malleable flesh of your leg. Clark latches his lips onto your bundle of nerves and works you through the high.
At the point where you would normally start to come down, they still haven’t let up. Sam’s fingers don’t recede any. They stay snug in your cunt while Clark continues to make out with your center. You whine. Your hips now buck with the purpose of getting them off. The motion doesn’t achieve that though. They stay right where they are.
“Clark-” you squeal for the main offender. Your eyes roll back and ragged pants of air puff from your lungs. You grab at the two mops of hair between your legs. “Sam...” you whimper with desperation.
Your pleas go unanswered at first. Clark chuckles while Sam grins against your leg. The latter continues to thrust his hand between your thighs.
“What’s the matter?” Sam croons, his brown eyes gazing up at you.
Words tangle up into a needy whine. You bite your lip to suppress the noise before attempting to reply with the sentiment you know they anticipate.
“It’s too much. Too sensitive,” you mewl.
As expected, they only look at you with patronizing smiles.
“Too much?” Clark repeats mockingly, “It’s not too much. You can take it. Can’t she, Sam?”
“She can take it,” the man to his left affirms before redirecting his words at you, “You know you can, baby. You know you like it. You just can’t help yourself. You always need something to whine about.”
“I do not! Ah-” you say, cut off by your own moan.
It’s the feeling of one of Clark’s thick fingers joining the couple of Sam’s that are already inside you. Your toes curl at the minor stretch you feel. It’s nothing compared to the times you’ve taken both of them at once, but still, it brings slight discomfort.
“That’s it, pretty girl,” Clark praises as you lose yourself to the moans.
They both duck back in and work with their mouths again. The tips of their tongues brush against one another as they lap at you. Clark moves in impossibly closer, angling his mouth slightly to the left. It leaves him more open to Sam. It gives him easier access to the other man as well.
Sam knows it’s on purpose. This isn’t coincidental positioning. Clark can be just as needy as you. He just has an aversion to acting so openly pathetic about it, especially with red kryptonite on him.
His head drifts a little more inward, bringing their mouths even closer together. Sam doesn’t hesitate before taking the leap. He tilts himself towards Clark. His tongue slides out against your cunt, but this time it makes full contact with the other man who moans at the warm, wet caress and reciprocates in full.
Your head pops up at the needy sound leaving his throat. You watch with lust-lidded eyes as their tongues tangle with each other against your folds. Their mouths are still touching your skin. The focus has just become split, flowing to all three points of your triad.
It helps to ease the sting of overstimulation that had been nipping at you. You’re able to actually make the descent back to a normal state of arousal. Reaching towards them, you lazily stroke Sam’s hair. You brush his bangs back from his warm forehead before swapping over to Clark and combing your fingers through his tresses that have become damp with sparse drops of sweat.
As they feel your touch, they become more focused on each other. It’s as if more subconscious parts of their minds understand you’ve been attended to. You’ve been sated. You’re not going to get up and leave, so it’s ok to play with each other a bit.
Sam’s the one to deepen the exchange. He draws his fingers that had gone still from the warmth of your cunt. They land on Clark’s shoulder, sliding up to the nape of his neck to pull him closer. Your other boyfriend doesn’t need to be told twice. He moves in for more, his nose bumping against Sam’s. Their breaths grow louder. You can hear every desperate inhale.
A low hum reverberates from Sam’s throat as Clark pushes him back on the bed. He kisses with the same overeager tenacity of a pup desperate for attention from its master.
Sam crumples on his shoulder, letting his back rest against the blankets beneath the three of you. You rise on your elbows and sit up, readjusting your legs. Your eyes trail over their nude bodies. They catch on the way Clark ruts himself against the crevice between Sam’s hip and the mattress. Sam’s flushed length stands stiff between their bodies, oozing the first beads of pre despite being untouched for the most part.
You’re only left neglected for a few seconds more. Sam manages to guide Clark’s lips down onto his neck. He then tilts his head back and reaches for your wrist.
“Don’t think we forgot about you,” he says with a small tug.
You follow along with the direction and scoot closer. Clark’s still got his mouth attached to Sam’s neck, kissing and licking at the curve of his throat. The recipient of the touches sighs at the dull sense of bliss it brings. Clark grinds himself harder against the bed, letting out a strangled moan before lifting his head.
His eyes are drooping with desire too now. The blown out pupils flit from Sam to you.
“We couldn’t forget about you, baby,” he adds, his mind seemingly just catching up with the words your other lover said.
Grabbing you by your waist, he drags you over Sam’s body and gets you flat on the mattress under him. You can feel the heat of his length against your thigh. Sam sits up beside you and strokes your cheek with two of his long fingers. He studies you for a few moments, looking at you with such intensity. Even in the heat of the moment though, you know he’s different. His normal reverence is absent. There’s hardly any affection in his gaze. It feels empty in a sense. As if his actions are guided by pure carnal need.
“I’ll let you have her pussy, Clark. Think her and I need to make up with something closer,” he says as his thumb pulls your mouth open by pressing on your bottom lip.
The plan receives no argument from Clark. It probably would have had he been the one resigned to your mouth, but he had no protests about getting to fuck you.
“Sounds good to me,” he grins and moves to kneel between your thighs. He tugs you closer by your hips, getting you in the position he wants. “You ready, princess? This won’t be too much for you?”
It’s not said with genuine concern. You’re sure the result would be the same regardless of if you nodded or shook your head. His tip is already nudging at your hole, more than ready to be inside.
You feel his cock sink in and split you open in time with Sam pushing his thumb further into your mouth. A moan bubbles up from you before you close your lips around the digit and suck. You shut your eyes too, allowing the physical sensations to overtake you.
Clark works himself in inch-by-inch. To your surprise, he doesn’t jerk himself all the way in, but he doesn’t go slow either. His desire rolls off him in waves. It’s only a matter of seconds before his tip is kissing your cervix and the thin patch of dark hair above his cock is pressed to your pelvis.
Sam pushes down on your tongue with his thumb. You continue sucking. Having it there soothes you in a way. It staves off any remnants of overstimulation, gives you something to focus on besides the thick cock stretching you apart.
But then he removes it. You whine. Moments after it leaves you, Clark draws his hips back and then slams in again. Now he’s set on picking up the pace. You don’t get a break. He doesn’t take a while to figure out a rhythm. He pounds back and forth, already settling into the one he likes.
Sam is rising up next to your head too. Before you realize what’s happening, he’s tapping the head of his dick on the seam of your lips. Your eyes lift to his face, which looks down at you with a condescending smirk.
“Open up, baby,” he purrs.
Obediently, your lips part. He thrusts himself inside with the same force Clark used on your cunt. You screw your eyes shut to try and repress the urge to gag. He chuckles up above, though it sounds distant to your ears. Being full of them on both ends spreads your senses thin. They try to keep up with everything happening, but they can really only catch the most intense pieces. Everything else blurs into a flurry around you. Clark’s needy grunts, Sam’s satisfied hum, the wet squelches coming from your core. All of it mixes together into a hazy bluster.
Sam’s cock drags over your tongue. It’s much heavier than his thumb. Warmer too. You suck on it all the same. You don’t use too much force or bob your head more than necessary. Even if his personality had been different as of late, you know what affects him on a physical level no matter what. You swipe your tongue over that specific vein and press up on the sensitive ridge that makes him buck. He hisses as you’re able to get him going with only a few small maneuvers.
“Fuck, you’re good at that,” he grunts. His hands land on either side of your head and hold you in place. “It’s much better when you’re using your mouth for this instead of all that worrying.”
As he grips your skull and begins rocking his hips back and forth, Clark rabbits himself harder into you. His fingers dig into you with such force, you’re sure you can feel the bruises forming on your skin. Normally, Clark was more conscious of his strength. He made sure to never pull too hard or hold too tightly. But when that little red stone sits strapped around his wrist, all concern for those kinds of things leaves his mind. All he cares about right now is the feeling of your pussy wrapped around his cock.
“She’s so fucking tight. Like more than usual. Thinks she likes us better like this,” Clark moans as he continues fucking into you with fast, needy strokes.
“Yeah? That true?” Sam huffs. He thrusts forward and drags your head all the way down on his cock.
In place of an answer, you gag. One set of your fingers claws at the bedding while your other clutches one of his thighs. He holds you in place for a moment. You can’t breathe. Your heart pounds with panic while your pussy squeezes extra tight around Clark. You hear him whimper at the sensation. It sounds far away, fading almost.
You blink slowly. Your head jerks a little. It’s not a conscious choice. Just the natural survival instinct that drives you to fight for air. You don’t receive it at first. Sam keeps your throat full for a few seconds more before pulling out and allowing you to suck in a breath.
You cough at the sudden influx of oxygen. A few droplets of spit spew forward and flank his v-line. He pets your head, stroking you in a way that seems almost caring.
“Such a good girl,” he praises, “You didn’t even move that much. Kept nice and still like you’re supposed to.”
“Of course. She knows just how to take us,” Clark agrees.
“I guess that’s true,” Sam says, thumbing at your cheek before sliding his cock between your lips again.
He’s not as forceful this time. You don’t stop breathing as you suck and lick at him. He keeps his thrusts pretty shallow. One of his hands rests on the top of your head, maintaining contact without grabbing you.
Simultaneously, Clark’s cock throbs inside you. It aches with the urge to spill. His balls that slap against your ass feel tight, more than ready to drain into you.
Sam can tell he’s close from how hard he’s panting. He doesn’t say anything, just watches. His eyes linger on Clark’s hips as they lose rhythm. They buck against you, sputtering as the rush of release creeps up on him. Sam can feel it approaching for him too. He tilts his head back and lets his eyes fall shut. His hand stays firm on the top of your head, using its position for leverage to start thrusting with a little more fervor again.
You whine around his cock. The faint vibrations only serve to coax Sam farther along. Things feel more blurry for you than it does for either of them. While they feel the clear signs of their impending orgasms, yours arrives suddenly. It explodes within you, snapping like a taut rubber band. Your body twitches and spasms. You feel the urge to arch your back and buck your hips, but you’re stationary for the most part between them.
Clark cums after you. He bursts with a sharp groan. His hips slap against your ass, jerking you upward. He maintains the same firm grip he’s had the whole time. You feel the thick, warm ropes flood you in a few spurts. It feels good, relaxing in a way to know the end is near.
Then your attention is swept up by the man occupying your mouth. Another hiss zips through his lips before you feel the sticky heat of his spend hit the back of your throat. You swallow every drop. It’s not like you have much of a choice. He doesn’t pull out or give you any room to do anything else but accept it.
He holds himself there as his length twitches and then softens. When the pleasure has reached its zenith, he finally begins to slip himself out. A thin string of saliva hangs from your lips and the head before he falls from his knees and sits beside you. He watches as Clark slides out too. Unlike the man by your upper half, he doesn’t pull away. Instead, he collapses on top of you.
His body heat seeps into you, his weight crushing your smaller frame. He nips at your neck. “See? It’s so much more fun when you’re not so tense, baby,” he breathes.
“Mhm,” you hum and let your eyes shut.
Sam sinks down next to the pair of you in bed. He doesn’t speak for a couple minutes. Wordlessly, he observes the way Clark holds you beneath him.
“You are much cuter when you’re tuckered out like this,” he says, his voice low and quiet.
You tilt your head against his shoulder and keep your eyes shut, a gesture to show that you’re trying to doze off. Your main hope is that they’ll follow suit. Luckily that seems to be the case as they remain quiet. You hear Sam’s breath even out beside you. Clark stays still on top of you, pressing a lazy kiss to your skin every so often, but it’s not long before you can feel those puffs of air become deeper and more steady.
Once you feel semi-confident they’re both asleep, only then do you open your eyes. As carefully as you can, you shift slightly and reach for Clark’s arm. You keep your movements slow so as to not wake either one of them. When you have his muscular limb held up enough, you hook your fingers around that bracelet and pull. With a little force, it pops free. You don’t know if it’s real or imagined, but you swear you feel his muscles relax.
From your spot on the bed, you toss it towards the closet. The farther it is from Clark the better. You suppose you should probably try to hide from Sam, but for some reason, you don’t feel like he’s set on using it again. Getting it off was pretty easy. Maybe he planned on you doing exactly this from the moment he slid that thing onto your other boyfriend.
Either way, you shut your eyes. You won’t let yourself sleep, but you can at least rest for right now. You and Clark could deal with Sam later. With one of them back to normal, you could figure out how to do the same for the other.

your Conquest x Reader is so, so delicious… you see the vision!! may i request a Conquest with a f!Reader who is an absolute sunshine? one that doesn’t even fear him at first glance? the type that makes you wonder why this little woman is being so kind to him~ thank you! 🙇🏻♀️
𝚌𝚘𝚗𝚚𝚞𝚎𝚜𝚝 𝚡 𝚜𝚞𝚗𝚜𝚑𝚒𝚗𝚎! 𝚛𝚎𝚊𝚍𝚎𝚛
a/n: yes yes yes, rubbing hands together like a fly rn, thanks anon! disclaimers: sexual content, i actually don't need to disclaim much this time it's just fluffy fun with a lick of smut because honestly i can't help myself, yippee!
conquest will never understand why you stick around. there's so many red flags about this guy that would make any reasonably minded person run for the hills. his bicep alone is bigger than your head. more than double the size. he's mean, he's old even by viltrumite standards, he's gnarled and grizzly and ill-tempered...
but you? little you? you love him so much it makes his head hurt.
you should have run away screaming the first time he crashed onto your planet and stared you down. instead, you gazed up at him like he was a god that had tumbled out of the heavens. he could swear that look of yours could turn back time by centuries, he felt like a younger man just from being in your presence.
he tried everything to make this little blossom see the fact that he was no good. told you about his mission, about viltrum, about all the planets he'd conquered. you would only gasp with amazement as you clung to his arm. 'so you're, like, super powerful, then? that's so cool!'
he would pretend you irritated him, for all the good that did, only for you to be totally impervious to his growls and grunts. he should fling you to the other side of the planet, he really should... but damn it. it had been so long since anybody had even... spoken to him like this. had a conversation with him, rather than just giving orders. he couldn't help himself, you made it so hard!!
every time he'd try to scare you away, use his strength to throw you up into the air higher and higher, fly you around the world, pick centuries old trees out of the ground with a fingertip? you'd squeal like a kitten! you'd applaud, you'd cheer, you'd beg him to do it again with those huge eyes like two full moons, what could he possibly do?! say no to you?! never!
you were just so... bright. and warm. you talked to him like he was the only person in the world, you were so full of wonder and excitement... sure, you'd get hyper sometimes, but he'd just pick you up and hold you in the air without a word, and you'd stop your spiel and beam down at him, kicking your little legs while they hung in the air. '...helloooooooo.' 'hello, little one.'
he tries his hardest to suppress his lust. you make it so difficult, though! too sweet, far too sweet, it drives him mad. he won't let you leave his sight, he doesn't like not being able to listen to you, smell you, touch your soft skin... if he loses his sunshine now, he'll be in darkness forever, like he always suspected he would be. no. you know what? you were offering your love and your warmth, he would be damned if he didn't accept it. and give you whatever you wanted in return.
when you first kissed him, it left him winded. he didn't understand it, grabbed you and lifted you by the scruff. you giggled and wiggled and beamed at him with those blushy little cheeks, knowing he wasn't gonna do anything, he lets you get away with everything all the time anyway...
he mimics the movement, mashing his lips to yours, not knowing what to do, he has genuinely never felt such a loving touch in his life. you have to teach him as you do most things about how to love, and you do it with a big smile and a patient mind.
he worships the ground you walk on. he's definitely the type to just let you do whatever silly thing you wanna do with him, but he'll pretend to be grumpy about it when all he wants to do is make you giggle and smile. think laying on top of him in the sun after a summer picnic, and you're making little daisy chain crowns to put on his head, and he's just lazing there like the big grumpy bear he is while you mess with him :3
always carrying you in his arms because no little blossom of his is straining her little feet, always following you around like an oversized puppy, but always switches into bear mode when anybody so much as looks at you funny. you've domesticated him enough that he won't kill in front of you... but he's got that fucker's face and scent memorised. after he puts you to bed, it's over, he's tracking them down.
always so cautious when he makes love to you :( clumsy at first, not knowing what all those little nerves do, where they are, what hurts and what makes your toes curl... ah, but he's so attentive. and you're not afraid to tell him where to go, where to lick, how deep to delve with his thick meaty cock... he appreciates your guidance immensely.
when you're used to his strength by now and lifting you like he usually does doesn't put a dent in your hyperactivity, he'll scoop you up and just eat you for hours. just like that. hell, sometimes he won't even stop what he's doing. like, if he's training, lifting some crazy tonnages of weights, and you patter out to bug him while he's on that bench, he's putting the bar down, sitting you on his face, and getting right back to it.
aftercare is so important to him, it never was before but you've changed so much in him after all. he knows how he can wear out his little blossom, knows how tiring it can be to shine as brightly and warmly as you do all day. he's so grateful for you, wants to give you all the pleasure you deserve, wants to bring you to the highest heights of bliss... ah, but he'll bundle you up against his burly, hairy body when you're too orgasmed out to move, babbling and panting and nuzzling at his skin, just wanting your nude bodies to melt into each other. he lets you work it out, massaging your skin with his careful hands, lets you lick and nibble and suck at his neck, lets you warble on and on, and lets you rest. you'll be up at dawn to brighten his day tomorrow <3
OH MAAAAAAN :( i just wanna nibble his big ol chest while i tell him about uni drama it'd heal me

sephiroth x fem!reader | 3.3k + words
warnings: 18+ MINORS DNI, pre nibelheim seph, soft n sweet, size kink if you squint (i will repeat this man is huge), cream pie
slow and heavy, your eyes blink and through your bleary vision the animated movie about the baby chocobo who ran away from home that you had started about an hour ago continues to play quietly on the television screen. you can hear their small voice, make out the tuft of pale yellow feathers at the top of their head but don’t register what’s being said or what they're doing.
your thumb fiddles with the band around your finger, the motion trying to keep you awake for just a little longer in hopes you’d be able to wait for your husband to get home. it’s late, with the moon high above your shared apartment on the top floor of the building and the quiet streets below set in the glow of the streetlights that emanate the color of the mako that powers them.
the world was in a similar state when sephiroth had left early this morning and you suppose you were too. though instead of being tucked into bed that clung with his warmth, wiggling more and more onto his side until you could bury your face in his pillow, you were now laying on the couch in a half comfortable position with a soft blanket wrapped around you. it also happened to smell like him.
blinking again, or what you thought was you blinking, you’re surprised when your eyes open and in the dim light the only thing you see is the familiar dark leather of sephiroths coat against his pale skin, so very close you could reach your hand out to touch him with little effort, could feel his warmth. the apartment is quiet, like you had slept through the rest of the movie even though it feels like only a minute has passed since you closed your eyes.
“welcome home,” you coo, your voice clinging with sleep and happiness.
“i didn’t mean to wake you,” he replies quietly, caring. tired.
“you didn’t,” your assurance is sweet as you stretch out your arms towards him. even kneeling he’s so much larger than you and you have to sit up a bit to wrap your arms around his neck properly, wanting to hold onto him and not the armor he still adorned. he must have just walked through the door. you smile when you look up to meet his shimmering eyes, loving how tenderly they look back at you but there’s no ignoring the dark circles under them either.
bringing him into your embrace, needing no strength or words to do so, large arms envelope around you. he smells like leather and sweat and the flora of his shampoo, an intoxicating combination that has you snuggling closer, shamelessly taking in a deep breath. only a moment passes before he pulls you from the blanket, effortlessly lifting your body and so easily you follow, wrapping your legs around his waist as he stands and starts to make his way to the bedroom. dressed only in one of sephiroths old tshirts and your panties, in the cool air your bare legs break out in goosebumps and you cling to him harder, soaking in his natural heat.
sephiroths hold on your thighs grows tighter.
“were you waiting for me?” he asks, murmuring softly against the side of your head where his lips place a long kiss but there's a teasing lilt to his tone that makes your heart flutter wildly.
“of course i was, i wanted to see you. didn’t mean to fall asleep,” you mumble the last part, feeling your heart contract.
perfect pink lips still pressed to the side of your head, he hums in contentment at your words. what had he done to deserve you? “i’m sorry to keep you waiting.”
shaking your head, you hug him tighter, nuzzling the tip of your nose into his soft skin. “it’s okay seph. i’ll always wait for you.”
so often you have left him speechless, longing to never let you leave his embrace. he felt the same when he came through the door and spotted your figure curled up on the couch. his little love, so adorable and even more thoughtful in a way he wasn’t sure he’d ever be used to.
in sephiroths long strides the walk to the bedroom isn’t long but he wasn’t ready to let you go just yet and instead of placing you on your side of the bed and leave you curled up under the blankets to get ready to join you, he sits at the edge of it and rests your legs comfortably on either side of his muscular thighs. perhaps he should have shed his armor before he came over to you on the couch but upon seeing you there, his feet immediately brought him to your side. all he wanted after every day, long or not, though lately they had been constantly long, was to end it with you in his arms.
shifting your weight on his legs, you move your arms from around his neck, letting your fingers roam from the column of the throat, over his exposed collar bone and to his shoulder. he sighs under your touch and you can feel his eyes on your face but your own can’t be torn from the rise and fall of his chest and the milky soft skin you want to kiss over and over again.
your hands are gentle and delicate as you pull at the straps that keep his pauldrons secured to his jacket and you have to grip each one with both hands as you lift them off his shoulders, forgetting how heavy they actually are. he helps you shrug them off of him and place them at the ground near his feet, one after the other, and as you undo the clasps of his belts, he sheds his gloves and spreads his large hands over the span of the top of your thighs.
he feels lighter, in so many ways and all of which lead back to you; your love, your soft touch, your tender flesh under his hands that were never meant for anything but to be a weapon, a tool, and yet to you they’re nothing of the sort. home, you had once called them so fondly. you had always trusted him to touch you with gentleness he once believed he was not capable of.
“i missed you,” your voice, barely above a whisper, breaks the silence in the room as you undo his jacket, moving onto the suspenders of his soldier uniform that cross his chest. you work on unbuttoning them and look up at him, feeling your body flush with heat under the glow of his mako eyes in the moonlit room and the pulse of his thin pupils that blow wide and return to their normal thin slits at the locking of your gazes.
the warmth of his left palm leaves your leg and his large hand cradles the back of your skull, bringing you to his lips. tips of silver locks tickle your cheeks, act as a sheer curtain of starlight and it is all you can see against the sparkle of the lifestream in his beautiful eyes. “i’ve missed you too darling,” he says lowly, his words spoken on your lips before capturing you in a deep, breath stealing kiss that has you clinging to his chest for purchase and his right hand traveling from your thigh, over the hem of your panties and under your shirt to your lower back to press you against him.
years of training, experiments, mako, have made his body hard, every inch of him defined in thick cords of muscle and scars that you’ve counted and mapped out like constellations and loved endlessly but there’s a distinct press between your legs and with each kiss you share, it only grows harder, more evident and you can’t stop yourself from wiggling your hips to feel more of him.
sephiroth groans against your lips, his fingers flexing and pulling you further into him until there’s nothing that could slip between your two bodies. a languid roll of his hips has you gasping into the kiss and he takes the opportunity to slip his tongue inside, exploring your mouth and bucking his hips at the touch of your tongue against his, so sweet and needy.
you don’t know how long you stay like that, on the edge of breathlessness and pleasure that wasn’t enough and was all you need at the same time but suddenly your world is turning and your body becomes caged between the plush sheets and your husband's firm body. the hand on your back moves to keep him hovering above you, so as not to crush you with his full weight, and your thighs spread instinctively. through your panties his thick clothed cock rubs against your clit, making you gasp.
at the breaking of your lips, you take in cool air that does nothing to quell the heat building inside of you, especially when his own finds your neck and begins to kiss the span of your throat, the tip of his tongue licking along your pulse point, tasting your skin without hurry. but you can’t help the worry building inside of you either. he must be so exhausted. you saw it in his eyes, felt it on his skin and your own longing was a reminder of how much he had been working of late.
“seph- wait.”
he pulls away from your neck to look into your eyes, stopping the soft rutting of his hips. worry flashes through his eyes as he looks down at you, his breath heavy and hot in the little air that surrounds you.
“what’s wrong?”
“nothing,” you’re quick to assure him, bringing your hands up to cup his cheeks. he leans into your touch, long dark lashes fluttering closed. “i just - aren’t you tired? we don’t have to ton-”
your words are cut off by sephiroth bringing a hand over one of your own, holding it there as he kisses your palm and speaks against your skin. “i’m okay. i want you,” another kiss to your palm. “i need you.” as if to emphasize his point, he rolls his hips again, letting you feel just how hard he is for you. “can i have you angel?”
“please.” you all but whimper as you arch into him and your free hand on his face sinks into his silver locks, soft and silky between your fingers. he always asked but he never needed to. “i’m yours seph.” yours for the taking. yours to love. yours for eternity, in every life, in every universe.
“you’re mine,” he says, leaning down to kiss your lips softly while keeping your palm pressed to his cheek. “and i’m yours,” he murmurs against your lips before he’s completely too far away from you, now standing at the edge of the bed while you lay enveloped completely in it.
you can feel your heart pounding in your chest and how it reverberates throughout the rest of your body. you can hear it in your ears, heating you from head to toe, feel its pulse through your throbbing cunt as you watch sephiroth shed the rest of his clothes, starting with his jacket.
he has always adored calling you angel but you were constantly reminded of his ethereal beauty and were convinced, truly and totally, that he was the actual angel here. or so much more than that, you thought as you watched long and thick fingers against pale skin and dark cloth, pulling down his pants and underwear in the same movement, lifting over the unbelievable length of his cock before sliding down his thighs and hitting the ground with a dull thud.
yes, so much more. your breath caught at the sight of your husband in the moonlight, his flushed mushroom tip leaking on his abdomen, every dip and curve of muscle and inch of skin you know is soft to the touch despite how marred it is from years of war and battle. cat-like eyes that shine and swirl with devouring, all consuming, love and devotion. a god among men but with the way he worshiped you, you were always his equal, regardless of whether you believed it yourself.
even in his much larger grasps his cock looks big and your mouth waters at the remembrance of the weight of it on your tongue as he pumps it slowly once, twice, with heaving breaths as he crawls back over to you.
truthfully, he is as exhausted as you worry he is. he knows he is but this time apart from you has taken more of a toll on him than the tiredness could. all he wants is to be with you, his precious wife, and now you are finally underneath him, pliant and sweet and needing him just as much as he does you. nothing could keep him from you.
you lift your hips to help him slide your panties down your legs, the wetness of them trailing along your skin and deliciously evident to sephiroth in the dim light.
“so wet for me,” he purrs and sucks in a sharp breath as he taps your clit with his cock head again and again, a wet, lewd, noise filling the air.
your essence is slick and drooling down his length, onto his hand at the base of his cock the more he slides it along your slit until it catches at your entrance and he sinks into your tight hole just a little more. he nearly collapses on top of you, the last of his weight held up by his forearm near your head and is joined by his other that cradles your cheek and brings you to his lips once more.
he takes his time sheathing fully himself inside your velvety walls, swallowing each of your whimpers and murmurs of his name the deeper he delves into you with each roll of his hips and the pleasurable ache between your legs from the stretch makes your body burst with the flames he controls so well.
the way sephiroth sighs your name as he stills inside of you, now completely enveloped by you and letting his forehead rest on yours, is like the most beautiful and sinful melody. one that stirs you to your core and makes you cling to him like you needed reassurance he was really there. your fingers sink into the soft flesh of his back and the strands of hair that spill over his frame and shoulders, your legs squeezing around his hips so he might not slip from your grasp.
when he finally starts to move, his thrusts are slow and deep, barely pulling out of you before he’s reaching deeper than before, the thick vein on the underside of his cock rubbing and throbbing against your walls. you’re so full of him, in every way you can possibly think of. every thought is only of him, each breath heady with his scent, everywhere your bodies touch pressing you further into the plush mattress and keeping you right underneath him, right where he needs you, where you don’t know where he ends and you begin.
you’re so tight around him, taking him perfectly, and moaning his name with a particularly deep roll of his hips that has him thinking he won't last much longer. you could bring him to his knees with your smile alone but like this..
“oh, seph~”
“say my name again,” his voice is low and husky with desire and laced with tiredness but he doesn’t stop, doesn’t want to stop. he needs to be as close to you as possible.
you do, over and over at the drugging feeling of him making love to you, filling you like you were made for each other, like the missing piece of your soul you couldn’t go without. you can feel the tautness of his muscles when he’s so very deep and your walls squeeze around him in white hot pleasure, pulling him in deeper, begging for more.
“seph.. mmm.. please - sephiroth!!”
you gasp his name as he grabs ahold of your leg and brings it up to his chest, still thrusting in and out of you as he easily maneuvers you so you’re laying on your side and without sliding out of you, he takes the place behind you, pressing your back against his chest with the hand that snakes underneath you and presses on the space below your breasts underneath your shirt.
he gingerly guides your leg back down, soaking in the feeling of your soft skin under his palm and this new angle with you in his embrace. his pace remains unhurried and overwhelming at the same time; you whine each time he pulls his hips back, feeling unbearably empty despite how much just his tip splits you open, and cling to his arms around you desperately, mewling and writhing in his hold when he pushes back into you slowly and fluidly, hitting that perfect spot inside of you that has you burning and trembling.
“look at you.. my beautiful darling.. i love you,” his voice is hot and heavy in your ear, a seductive purr that breaks the hold on the tightness below your belly. a rare curse leaves his lips, “fuck - you always take me so well.” his hold on you tightens, keeping you in place as his thrusts become less paced and more desperate, not able to retract from your heat, but bringing you down on his cock more and more.
your voice cracks around his name on your tongue, your pretty pussy fluttering around his length and he stills inside of you to feel every last squeeze as you milk him for all he’s worth.
“just like that angel, take me..”
you’re still throbbing around him, his release plentiful and sticky, unable to be kept all inside of your cunt with you so full of his cock but he doesn’t seem to mind the messiness between your legs and keeps you held close even after you’ve both come down from your highs.
nuzzling his nose into your hair, you feel his weight sag against you and the expanding of his chest with the deep inhale he takes that’s wafting with sex and your sweet scent and that melts the remnants of his strength, what little of it had been getting him through these last few days. none of it mattered anymore now that he was home with you.
“seph?” you ask, feeling his breath fall into a steadiness that reminds you of when he’s sleeping in your arms without a worry.
“mm?”
“let me clean us up,” you offer, wanting to take care of him, though he hadn’t had you ever do so before. cleaning you up after was a duty and privilege he took very seriously, as if he needed to care for you in that way.
you try to wiggle from his hold, shivering at the over stimulating movement of his half hard cock still sheathed in your cunt, but he doesn’t budge and you aren’t strong enough to escape, even if you were to give it an honest effort.
“stay like this with me for a little longer,” his voice sounds so full of sleep and boyish. it makes your heart stutter and your cheeks warm.
you can’t deny him. you don’t think you’d ever be able to. so you give in to your own tiredness, fitting perfectly in the curled up space of his chest and thighs when you snuggle closer, letting the weight of him surrounding you, inside of you, drift you into sweet and steamy dreams featuring your soldier.
when you wake, moonlight still fills the room but the mess between your legs is gone, the sheets are clean and your husband holds you so impossible close, the warm metal of his wedding band clinking against your own as you lace your fingers together and fall back asleep to the sound of his steady heart in your ears.

Hi! If you are accepting requests right now can you please write how batboys will act around fem! reader when they are in love/crushing on her? Also getting jealous when their crush gives more attention to someone else other than them?
If you are not accepting requests right now then you don't have to write it thank you anyways ❤️❤️❤️
A/N: This was such a classic and fun to write anon! Thanks for the request ❤️

Dick
He constantly craves for your attention, wanting you to look at him as much as he looks and thinks about you. Always keeping you on your toes with affectionate teasing, intentionally pushing your buttons to get you to chase after him, or pulling pranks enjoying how he surprises you using his acrobatic skills and stealth. He even performs parlor-magic tricks including the one where all of a sudden there’s a rose in his hand after brushing the stray hair behind your ear and tucking it into your hair. He loves how adorable you look when annoyed as much as hearing you praise him from being impressed, but the fact he can get you to focus on him and only him sends him over the moons.
When he gets jealous, he tries not to get obvious. He behaves as if he’s also interested in the other person you’ve been giving your attention to, asking about mundane things to see how you feel and think of them. But when your replies are filled with positives and not the typical meh, he gets moody and might leave to brood for a bit. He doesn’t appreciate competition when he’s busting his butt to win you over, desiring to be the only person in your eyes and heart. When you’re talking to them, he casually slides into the conversation and acts normal. Body relaxed, cracking jokes and laughing. Everything seems fine except he stays close to your side, where if you move a bit, he moves too so he stays exactly where his spot is- right next to you.
Jason
The way he acts is as if he’s back being the second Robin prior to his death. The jokes he cracks and the replies he gives are more light-hearted while found more frequently, genuinely smiling and laughing when with you. He’s a bit more mindful with what or how he states things, not wanting to hurt you. This includes him getting apologetic if his words come out too rough. One could argue he’s being shy and self-conscious if only he was actually self-aware he’s acting like this. He knows how to act charming, having picked up girls a few times. Having a crush, though, is a completely new, uncharted-territory for him. The only thing that comes in his mind is to show his best sides, hoping that he won’t scare you off and he’d be able to stay with you longer while making you happy when he’s around.
He is not good at handling jealousy at all. There’s tension in his body and gets smart-mouthed whenever he attempts to break the conversation going between the other person and you. Luckily for him, his behavior comes off as him being sassy since he does restrain himself as he’s in front of you. Eventually he gets the other to scram as he continues to stand behind you, sending an intimidating glare that’s backed up by his height and muscles. He’s more quiet and stiff, getting extra sarcastic and a bit dark humored in his replies when you won’t stop talking about them, hating and irritated by the ugly emotions he has. Even more so when it’s not actually your fault, it’s his for being in love with you.
Tim
He’s very attentive towards you. Always texting you, seeing how things are, wanting to know if you’re okay while sending a message back as soon as he gets one from you, basically making himself your go-to texting buddy. He’s quick to pick out your likes and dislikes, keeping a mental note of them whenever he’s inviting you to go somewhere or getting you something. He acts a bit impulsive subconsciously, giving you a hug out of the blue when he gets excited or nerding out over something or grabbing your hand so he can get you to see one of the best scenes he knows you’ll ever see. He won’t ever admit it but he tends to be extra when skateboarding in front of you, enjoying how you get awestruck with the tricks he shows.
When you’re giving someone else more attention, he slides into the conversation and will try to turn the conversation away from you. Polite business smile that doesn’t reach his eyes while standing close, right next to you, yes he is intentionally trying to imply something without you knowing . When you talk about them, he listens but snorts and does not agree with any good comment you make. May drop some questions here and there to see what you think of them. The only reason it only goes that far though is because he already did a background check on them, so he can get a good idea if the other party is within the realm of your interest or not.
Duke
He’s extremely jumpy and hyper aware. Physical touching is a no-go where he’ll flinch, jump, or stiffen up. Literally, if you accidentally brush hands against his, he’s shooting that hand up as if he’s raising his hand for class. His face is on fire if you get too close and when he talks with you, he’s needing to put in twice the effort to pay attention to what you’re saying since his mind keeps trailing off on how good you looked for today. Thankfully he’s able to still act like himself whenever you guys talk, still being sarcastic and real. Just, he comes off as being weird making him wonder why he can’t act naturally and play things down-to-earth.
If you’re paying attention to someone more than him whether it’s talking about them more than usual (in his perspective) or talking with them physically (again in his perspective), he’s the type to get uncomfortable and portray unease. Contrary to his usual sarcastic self, he gets quiet and at some point might try to change the topic to something else. He doesn’t interrupt the conversation when you’re talking with the other person since he doesn’t know how to act in situations without making you realize he has a crush on you. He does manage to stay polite when he’s suddenly mentioned or dragged into the conversation, but there’s a lot of awkwardness because he doesn't want to continue talking with them.
Damian
He’s extremely hot and cold, acting exactly how little kids tend to act around their crush. He teases you a lot, making so many remarks and snarky comments over things that aren’t even significant. He absolutely loves to show off the things he’s capable of doing in all fields, wanting to hear you and just you on how amazing he is. He is very possessive of you where if you got a new pen or eraser from someone, he’ll get rid of it and replace it with or without you noticing with something he gets you instead. It only happened once or twice though. He usually intercepts it before the gift gets to you.
It’s because of this, he gets jealous really easily. When you’re giving more attention to someone, he’ll be sending them the look that shows that the other signed a visit from death. That or one that screams for the other to leave or else. He’ll be criticizing starting from hair to shoes, nothing left behind. He’ll go low enough and start a childish fight with you over how you’re constantly talking about the other party, bringing them up in every conversation. And it’s only because he feels as though you aren’t appreciating his presence in your life, feeling threatened that you’d not want to be with him anymore because he isn’t good enough.

The Princess had spent the evening pretending everything was fine. She’d smiled through the formal dinner, nodded politely at endless conversations, and held herself with the grace expected of her. But as the night wore on, the weight of it all pressed down on her chest like a tight corset, squeezing the air from her lungs. Every curtsy, every forced laugh, had added another layer to the suffocation.
By the time the palace halls had grown quiet, she couldn’t bear it any longer. She needed to get out—away from the golden chandeliers, the careful whispers, and the constant eyes that watched her every move. It felt like she was drowning in expectations, and the only way to breathe was to leave, even if just for a few hours.
The stables were her refuge. She’d discovered that long ago, as a child, when the pressures of the court were less heavy but still present, lurking in the background. Now, as she slipped into the stables’ cool shadows, she felt her heartbeat slow just a little, her muscles loosening in the familiar surroundings. The smell of hay and horses grounded her, bringing her a small sense of peace.
She walked softly, the thick, polished soles of her boots barely making a sound against the stone floor. The horses stirred as she passed, their gentle snorts and soft whinnies acknowledging her presence but not alarmed. She stopped for a moment by her favourite, Orla, a chestnut mare who nudged her shoulder affectionately. She stroked the mare’s mane, whispering a quiet apology for not taking her out tonight. Orla would understand; this wasn’t a night for riding.
Moving to the back corner of the stable, she crouched down and brushed away the loose straw to reveal a wooden panel in the wall. With a soft grunt, she pried it loose, the way she had done so many times before. This was her secret—a gap that led to the fields beyond the palace grounds. Not even her personal guards knew about it. She had discovered it as a young girl, slipping through the hole in search of adventure when the confines of the palace walls grew too small.
Now, that same urge pulled her through the narrow opening, but it wasn’t adventure she sought—it was escape. The cold air hit her face as she emerged on the other side, the smell of grass and earth filling her lungs. For the first time all night, she felt like she could breathe.
The field stretched out in front of her, wide and dark under the night sky. The moon hung low, casting a silvery glow on the tall grass that swayed gently in the breeze. She pulled her hood over her head, hiding her most definitely recognisable hair, and stepped forward. The ground was uneven beneath her feet, the soft squelch of mud and grass a welcome contrast to the polished marble floors of the palace.
As she walked, the palace grew smaller behind her, its golden lights dimming until it was just a distant glow on the horizon. She paused for a moment, turning back to look at it—a fortress of expectations and responsibilities. It felt strange to see it from here, like it was part of someone else’s life. Someone who wasn’t her.
Turning away, she continued across the field, when she saw it. A karting track lay just beyond the hill, the faint hum of engines already audible in the distance. She had heard the sounds many times before while sneaking out but had never been, the laughter and cheers carried on the wind, but had never dared to go closer. Tonight, though, something was different. Maybe it was the exhaustion, or maybe it was the desire to feel something other than the heavy weight of duty. She wasn’t sure. But tonight, she would go. She would see what it was like to be just... normal.
The lights of the track grew brighter as she crested the hill. From here, she could see the racers whizzing by in small go-karts, their faces blurred by speed and excitement. A group of people stood by the sidelines, watching, some laughing, some leaning against the fence with drinks in hand. It was a world apart from hers, and yet it called to her.
She lingered at the edge of the track, keeping her hood pulled low as she observed. No one paid her any attention, and that in itself was a relief. She wasn’t a princess here. She was just another person, another face in the crowd. The knot in her chest loosened slightly, the familiar ache of expectation easing.
She was so lost in her thoughts that she didn’t notice someone approaching until a voice broke through the hum of engines.
“First time?”
Startled, she turned to see a man standing beside her, his hands stuffed into the pockets of his hoodie. He had a relaxed posture, his expression open and friendly, like talking to a stranger was the most natural thing in the world, but he too had a hoodie fully covering his face. His eyes were bright, but not with recognition. There was no flicker of surprise, no hint that he knew who she was. Just casual curiosity.
“Uh… yeah,” she replied, her voice hesitant. She tugged her hood a little lower, instinctively trying to hide.
The guy turned around and she could see his face properly, he was gorgeous as he smiled at her, a lopsided grin that was both easygoing and warm. “It’s fun,” he said, nodding towards the track. “You should try it.”
“I’m not really dressed for it,” She said, glancing down at her boots. They were sturdy but far from practical for something like this.
He shrugged, still smiling. “Doesn’t matter. Half the people out there don’t know what they’re doing either. It’s just for fun.” He paused, then added, “I’m Max, by the way.”
His name hung in the air for a moment, simple and unassuming. He didn’t ask for hers, didn’t press. It felt strange—refreshing, even. No titles, no formalities. Just... Max.
She hesitated, glancing at the track. The racers zoomed by, their shouts of excitement echoing in the cool night air. For a moment, she could almost imagine what it would feel like—no duties, no one watching, just speed and laughter. It was tempting. More tempting than she wanted to admit.
“I don’t know...” she started, but her words trailed off as Max leaned casually against the fence beside her, his posture easy and unbothered.
“No pressure,” he said, with a shrug that was so natural it almost made her laugh. “You can just watch if you want. But trust me, once you try it, you won’t want to stop.”
She looked at him, studying the relaxed set of his shoulders, the comfortable way he seemed to fit into this world. He didn’t have that tight, rigid way of standing that she saw in the palace—where everyone was always conscious of how they looked, of what others thought of them. Max was... easy. Uncomplicated.
It was such a stark contrast to the world she’d just left behind.
“Is it always like this?” she asked, her voice softer now, more curious than hesitant.
Max turned to her, raising an eyebrow. “Like what?”
“Just... fun.” She felt a little silly asking, but the words slipped out before she could stop them.
Max chuckled, shaking his head. “Depends on who you ask. Some people get real competitive out here, but for most of us? Yeah, it’s just a way to blow off steam. No big deal.” He glanced at her, a hint of curiosity in his eyes now, though still no recognition. “You from around here? Never seen you at the track before.”
Her heart skipped a beat. For a second, she almost blurted out the truth, but the words caught in her throat. No, I’m not from here felt too close to I’m the princess of this country, and she wasn’t ready to give up her anonymity yet. Not here. Not when it felt so good to be invisible.
“I don’t get out much,” she said, keeping her answer vague. It wasn’t technically a lie.
“Figured,” Max said with a teasing grin. “You’ve got that ‘I’m-too-good-for-this-place’ look about you.”
She blinked, then laughed, the sound surprising even to her. It wasn’t the forced, polite laughter she had perfected for royal gatherings. This was real—spontaneous, like the feeling of breaking the surface after holding your breath for too long.
Max grinned wider at her reaction. “See? Already starting to loosen up.”
She shook her head, but she couldn’t stop smiling. She liked this—liked how easy it was to talk to him, how he had no idea who she was and didn’t seem to care. For the first time in a long while, she felt like she could just... be.
“I guess I could give it a try,” she said after a moment, surprising herself with her own words.
Max’s eyes lit up. “That’s the spirit! Come on, I’ll show you how it works.”
He led her towards the pit area, where a few go-karts sat idle, waiting for the next round. Her pulse quickened as they approached. The karts looked small, but the thought of actually getting in one and racing felt exhilarating—and a little terrifying. She had never done anything like this before. Her life was too controlled, too polished. But here, surrounded by the hum of engines and the laughter of people who didn’t care about titles or status, it was easy to forget all that.
Max handed her a helmet. “Here, put this on. And don’t worry—everyone’s a little nervous their first time. Once you get going, it’s a blast.”
She took the helmet, her fingers brushing against the cool surface. For a moment, she hesitated, the weight of her real life lingering at the back of her mind. But then she thought of the palace, of the endless duties and expectations that would be waiting for her when she returned. Tonight, she didn’t want to be a Princess. She wanted to be someone else. Even if it was just for a little while.
Slipping the helmet on, she pulled the strap tight and climbed into the kart. It felt strange, sitting so low to the ground, the engine rumbling beneath her like a living thing. Max knelt beside her, adjusting a few straps and showing her the pedals. His voice was calm, instructive, and for the first time in a long while, someone was teaching her something without being stiff or overly formal. She liked it.
“Alright,” Max said, standing up and giving her a thumbs up. “You’re all set. Just take it easy on the first lap—get used to the feel of it. After that, let loose.”
She nodded, gripping the steering wheel a little tighter than necessary. Her heart pounded in her chest as the flag waved and the others sped off, leaving her sitting still for a beat longer. But then she pressed down on the gas pedal, and the kart jerked forward, the wind rushing past her face.
At first, she was cautious, her fingers gripping the wheel tightly as the kart bumped along the track. But as she rounded the first corner and the engine roared, a spark lit inside her. The fear melted away, replaced by a thrill she hadn’t expected. The sensation of speed, of being in control of something that moved so fast—it was intoxicating.
She leaned into the next turn, feeling the kart glide smoothly along the curve, the tension in her shoulders easing. The wind whipped against her face, but she didn’t care. She laughed—loud and unrestrained, the sound swallowed by the night. She couldn’t remember the last time she had felt so free, so... alive.
Max was right. Once you started, it was hard to stop.
When she finally pulled back into the pit area, her heart was still racing, her breath coming in quick bursts. Max was waiting for her, his grin wide and approving.
“Well?” he asked, arms crossed as he leaned casually against the fence. “Not bad for a first-timer.”
She took off her helmet, her hair wild and her cheeks flushed, but she didn’t care. “That was... amazing,” she admitted, unable to stop smiling.
“See?” Max said, laughing. “Told you.”
For a moment, standing there with the wind still rushing through her hair and her body buzzing from the ride, she forgot who she was. She wasn’t the princess here. She wasn’t responsible for the weight of an entire country. She was just a girl, laughing at a racetrack with a guy who didn’t know her, and it felt... perfect.
She leaned against the kart for a moment, still catching her breath. Her pulse was racing, and not just from the speed. She couldn’t shake the pure, unfiltered exhilaration that had coursed through her veins. The feeling of freedom, of shedding the weight of expectations, even if only for a short time, was unlike anything she had felt in years.
Max was watching her with a casual smile, clearly amused by the joy lighting up her face. She caught her breath, realising how utterly at ease he seemed, as though this was his world and everyone else was just passing through it.
“Not bad, right?” he said, his voice still warm and relaxed.
“Not bad?” she laughed softly, shaking her head. “That was... incredible. I didn’t know something so simple could feel that good.”
“Simple?” Max grinned, looking genuinely entertained. “You’ve never been karting before, huh?”
She shook her head, wiping a loose strand of hair from her face. “No. Never.”
He leaned closer, his expression still friendly but with a glint of curiosity in his eyes. “You really don’t get out much, do you?”
The question was casual, but it hit closer to home than she cared to admit. She shrugged it off, pulling her hood back over her head, as though it would somehow shield her from further questions.
“I guess not,” she said, her voice softer now.
Max nodded, seeming to accept that without prying. “Well, if you liked that, you’d probably love a real race. You ever watch Formula One?”
The mention of Formula One caught her off guard, and she shook her head. “No... not really my thing.”
He raised an eyebrow, clearly surprised. “Really? You don’t even know any of the drivers?”
She could only smile awkwardly, realising that she had no idea how big of a deal Formula One was, let alone the names involved in it. “Nope. Can’t say I do.”
Max let out a soft laugh, as though the idea of someone not knowing about Formula One was a little unbelievable, but he didn’t push it. Instead, he smiled again, more to himself this time, and shrugged. “That’s refreshing, actually. You’re not missing much, anyway,” he added with a wink, making it sound like an inside joke she didn’t quite understand.
Just as she was about to respond, the faint chime of a clock echoed in the distance. It was so far away, nearly drowned out by the hum of engines, but it pierced through her, pulling her back to reality. She froze for a moment, the fun of the evening abruptly replaced by the realisation of what time it was.
“Oh no,” she muttered, standing up straight and glancing toward the palace grounds, hidden behind the field and trees.
“What?” Max asked, his brow furrowed.
She gave him a tight smile. “I should probably go. It’s... getting late.” She didn’t want to leave. Not yet. But she knew she had to.
Max studied her for a moment, his playful grin fading into something softer. “You sure? I can walk you back if you want.”
The offer was kind, but the last thing she needed was Max seeing the palace guards and connecting the dots. She could only imagine how complicated things would get if he found out who she really was. She shook her head quickly, hoping her refusal didn’t seem rude.
“No, thank you. I’m fine. Really.”
Max didn’t press, though something in his eyes told her he was still curious. “Alright,” he said with a small nod. “But hey, I’m gonna be in town for the next two weeks, so if you feel like sneaking out again, I’ll be here. Same time, same place.”
She couldn’t help but smile at that. The idea of doing this again—of stepping back into this world where no one knew her, where she could just be—was more tempting than it should have been. “I’ll keep that in mind,” she said, her voice soft but genuine.
She turned to leave, feeling the cool night air brush against her skin, but something made her glance back. Max was watching her, leaning casually against the kart with that easy smile, as though none of this was out of the ordinary. It was strange how comfortable she felt with him—a stranger—and how much she didn’t want to go.
“See you around, stranger,” Max called after her, his tone playful but sincere.
She gave him one last wave before heading back across the field, the lights of the track slowly fading behind her. The palace loomed ahead, a reminder of everything she had to return to—her responsibilities, her duties, her carefully controlled life. But even as she slipped through the hidden passage in the stables, the thrill of the night lingered, like a secret she carried with her.
Once inside the palace walls, she moved quickly, keeping to the shadows. Her heart was still racing, but now it was from the fear of getting caught. She slipped back into her room unnoticed, quietly closing the heavy door behind her. For a moment, she stood there in the silence, the warmth and grandeur of her surroundings feeling strangely suffocating after the openness of the track.
Kicking off her boots, she padded to the window, pulling aside the heavy velvet curtain to look out over the darkened palace grounds. The karting track wasn’t visible from here, but she could still imagine it, hear the hum of the engines, and feel the wind on her face. She hadn’t felt so alive in years.
As she changed into her pyjamas and prepared for bed, her mind kept drifting back to Max. The way he had spoken to her so easily, without hesitation, without any of the reverence or caution people usually showed her. It felt like they were equals. No expectations, no carefully chosen words. He had no idea who she was. And she hadn’t known him, either.
The following evening, she sat at her vanity, staring at her reflection. Her hair was pinned perfectly, her skin glowing under the soft light of the chandelier. But all she could think about was the wind in her hair, the roar of engines, and the unfamiliar freedom she had tasted the night before.
She was expected at dinner in an hour, a formal affair with visiting dignitaries—yet another night of forced smiles, stifling conversations, and the suffocating weight of being a Princess. The thought of sitting through it made her chest tighten with the same anxiety she’d felt the previous night. She couldn’t do it, not tonight.
Her heart raced as she made her decision. She needed to feel that freedom again.
Standing up, she walked toward her door and opened it just enough to see the palace corridors beyond. Quiet. Perfect. She padded down the hallway to her parents’ private chamber and knocked softly.
Her mother’s voice answered from inside, “Come in.”
She entered, finding her mother seated at a desk, reviewing documents. The Queen looked up with a warm but distracted smile.
“Hello darling. Ready for dinner?”
She hesitated for just a second, but her face betrayed nothing. “Actually, Mother,” she said softly, “I’m not feeling well. I think I might be coming down with something.”
Concern flickered across her mother’s features. “Oh no, my dear. Is it serious? Should I send for the royal physician?”
She quickly shook her head, her heart pounding as she forced a smile. “No, no. It’s nothing like that. I think I just need to rest. A quiet evening in my room should help.” She tried to sound as casual as possible, hoping her mother wouldn’t press further.
The Queen studied her for a moment, then nodded. “Very well. Take care of yourself, darling. You can join us tomorrow.”
“I will,” she promised, relieved that it had been so easy. She gave her mother a small smile before excusing herself from the room, and the moment the door was closed, her heart began to race for an entirely different reason.
She wasn’t going to her room. She was going back to the track.
Less than fifteen minutes later, she was once again slipping through the hidden gap in the stable wall, her pulse quickening with every step she took away from the palace. The familiar field stretched out before her, bathed in moonlight, and the sound of distant engines filled the air as she drew closer to the track.
A thrill surged through her. She hadn’t felt this kind of anticipation in so long—years, maybe. As she crested the hill, the track came into view, the floodlights illuminating the karts zooming around the circuit. Laughter and shouts echoed in the night, and there, standing by the fence again, was Max.
He hadn’t seen her yet, but something about the sight of him—so at ease, so comfortable in this world—made her heart race. For a moment, she stood still, wondering if this was a terrible idea. But then Max turned his head and spotted her. His face lit up immediately, and before she could second-guess herself, he was walking toward her.
“You came back,” he said, his voice filled with genuine warmth and a hint of surprise.
Before she could respond, Max pulled her into a quick, unexpected hug. It caught her off guard, but the gesture was so natural, so friendly, that she relaxed into it. It wasn’t formal or calculated like the stiff embraces she was used to. It was warm, real, and surprisingly grounding.
“I’m glad you came,” Max said as he pulled back, his smile still wide. “I wasn’t sure if you would.”
She smiled, a little breathless from his easy affection. “I wasn’t sure either,” she admitted, though a part of her had known she would return the moment she’d left the night before.
Max gave a playful shake of his head, as if amused by her uncertainty. “Well, you’re here now, so I’ve got something for you.”
“For me?” She blinked, confused.
Without a word, Max walked over to a nearby bench where his gear was piled, rummaging through the bag until he pulled out a sleek black helmet. It gleamed under the track lights, the design simple but stylish. He turned and handed it to her, a grin tugging at his lips.
“For next time,” he said. “Consider it a welcome-back gift.”
She stared at the helmet, her fingers brushing over its surface. It felt substantial in her hands, the weight of it unexpected. “This is... for me?”
“Yeah,” Max nodded, his expression softening. “I thought you might like your own, since it seems like you’re gonna be coming back more often.” He paused, glancing at her. “Unless you’re planning to disappear?”
She felt warmth rise in her chest. The idea that Max had thought about her after last night—enough to get her a gift—was strangely touching. She didn’t know what to say at first, only that her heart was doing a strange, excited dance in her chest.
“No disappearing,” she said with a small smile. “At least, not yet.”
Max’s grin widened. “Good. Because I think you’re a natural at this. You belong out here.”
The words struck something deep inside her. Belong. She wasn’t sure where she belonged anymore, but for the first time, standing here with Max, holding a helmet meant just for her, she felt a flicker of that feeling—like maybe she did belong somewhere outside the palace walls.
She turned the helmet over in her hands, then looked up at him. “Thank you. Really.”
Max shrugged, the gesture so casual it made her smile. “It’s just a helmet. But hey, now you’ll have no excuse to not race me next time.”
The princess laughed softly, shaking her head. “I think you’d have a pretty big advantage.”
Max winked. “Maybe. But who knows, you might surprise me.”
They stood there for a moment, the sound of engines and laughter filling the space between them. She clutched the helmet a little tighter, feeling the pull to stay here with him, to keep being this version of herself. But she knew she couldn’t stay long—not tonight. There would be questions if anyone realised she hadn’t been in her room all evening.
She stared at the helmet in her hands, her fingers tracing the smooth curve of the visor. Something about the gesture—Max giving her something that was entirely hers, something from this world—made her feel bolder than before. Maybe it was the way he had smiled at her, or the fact that she didn’t have to be anyone other than herself around him. Whatever it was, a playful spark ignited inside her.
She looked up at Max, who was watching her with that easy grin, clearly amused by the way she was studying the helmet. Without thinking too much about it, she raised her chin and asked, “How about that race, then?”
Max blinked, surprised, then his grin widened. “You serious?”
She shrugged, her smile growing. “Why not? You said I’m a natural, right?”
“Yeah, but I didn’t mean that natural,” he said, laughing softly. “You sure you’re ready to take me on?”
The challenge in his voice only fueled her. She had tasted the thrill of the track last night, and now, with the helmet in her hands, the idea of racing Max—even if she was far from a professional—was too tempting to resist.
“I’m sure,” she said firmly, her eyes sparkling with excitement. “Unless you’re scared you’ll lose.”
Max chuckled, shaking his head. “Alright, princess,” he teased, the nickname rolling off his tongue in a playful, light-hearted way that made her grin. He didn’t know how close to the truth that was. And while it would usually make her panic, it was clear he didn’t know who she was. “Let’s do it.”
She felt a rush of adrenaline as she followed him over to the karts. Max helped her adjust the helmet and get settled in the driver’s seat. The moment she gripped the steering wheel, that same electric thrill from last night returned, only now, it was heightened by the fact that she was about to race him.
Max hopped into his kart, giving her a wink from across the track. “Alright,” he called, his voice muffled by his own helmet, “just remember, it’s all about control, not speed. Don’t push it too hard.”
She nodded, her heart pounding as the engines roared to life around them. The buzz of excitement in the air was contagious, and she found herself gripping the wheel tighter, anticipation humming through her veins.
“Ready?” Max shouted over the noise.
“Ready!” she called back, her voice filled with a mix of nerves and excitement.
With a sharp rev of the engine, they were off.
The first few moments were a blur of motion and sound. She felt the kart lurch forward, the wind whipping against her as she sped down the track. Her nerves spiked, but she quickly remembered Max’s words—control, not speed. She focused on keeping steady, her hands firm on the wheel as she navigated the turns.
Max was ahead, of course, but she could see him glancing over his shoulder, slowing down just enough to let her keep pace. She knew he was going easy on her, but she didn’t mind. The thrill of racing him—of racing anyone—was more than enough to make her feel like she was flying.
The world around her blurred into a mix of bright lights and the roar of engines. For the second time in her life, she wasn’t thinking about the palace, her duties, or the expectations that constantly weighed her down. It was just her, the kart, the track, and the rush of adrenaline surging through her veins.
Max pulled ahead slightly as they rounded a sharp corner, but she was right behind him, her competitive spirit kicking in. She leaned into the turn, feeling the kart respond beneath her, and for a brief moment, she let herself push just a little harder.
She caught up with him, and when he looked back, his eyes met hers through their visors. There was a flicker of something—surprise, maybe, or pride. He grinned, then slowed again, letting her pass him just before they hit the final straightaway.
She laughed, the sound muffled by her helmet but still filled with pure, unfiltered joy. She knew he was letting her win, but the thrill of it was real, and she couldn’t help but feel a burst of pride as she crossed the makeshift finish line.
She slowed to a stop, pulling off the steering wheel as she’d seen Max do, her laughter bubbled over. Max pulled up beside her, his own helmet off, his face lit up with a grin.
“Well, look at you,” he said, hopping out of his kart and walking over to her. “You actually made me work for it.”
She climbed out, still catching her breath, her cheeks flushed with excitement. “You’re lying. You let me win.”
Max shrugged, clearly not about to deny it. “Maybe I did,” he said, smirking. “But that doesn’t change the fact that you were pretty good out there.”
She beamed at the compliment, still riding the high of the race. “That was amazing. I’ve never felt anything like that before.”
Max leaned back against the fence, watching her with an easy smile. “Yeah, it’s a rush. You looked like you were having the time of your life.”
“I was,” she admitted, her voice softer now. She hadn’t felt this free, this alive, in... well, she couldn’t even remember. “I really was.”
Max’s expression shifted slightly, his eyes studying her for a moment, as if he could sense there was more beneath her words. But he didn’t push. Instead, he smiled and got close to her, pulling up her visor so he could see her eyes better.
She laughed, shaking her head. “I don’t think you have to worry about that.”
“We’ll see.” He winked, leaning back on the kart again, clearly in no rush to leave. “So, you coming back tomorrow?”
Her heart skipped at the idea. “Maybe,” she said, feeling the tug of responsibility from the palace, but also the undeniable pull to return here—to this track, to Max, and to the freedom she had only just started to discover.
“I’ll be here,” Max said, giving her that same playful smile as the night before. “Same time, same place.”
She smiled, feeling lighter than she had in years. “I’ll think about it.”
As they stood there, the night air cool against her skin, she felt something shift inside her. For the first time in a long time, she had something to look forward to—something that wasn’t bound by duty or expectation. She had this—this world, this track, this chance to be someone else, even if just for a little while.
And as she walked away, the helmet tucked under her arm, she knew she’d be back. How could she not?
Her pulse was still racing as she slipped through the gap in the stable wall, her heart light with the thrill of the night’s race. The cold night air stung her cheeks, but she didn’t mind. She hadn’t felt this alive in years—her mind still buzzing with the memory of the wind whipping past her as she sped around the track, Max’s teasing grin as he let her take the lead, and the helmet now tucked securely under her arm.
She quietly crossed the stable yard, the moon casting long shadows over the cobblestones. The palace was still, its lights dimmed, as if it, too, was resting from its heavy burdens. She let out a breath of relief, thinking she’d made it back undetected.
But as she rounded the last corner towards the servant’s door leading into the palace, a figure stepped out of the shadows.
She froze, her heart plummeting to her stomach.
“Princess,” came a low voice, steady and unmistakable.
Her personal guard, Lukas, stood there with his arms crossed, his expression stern but not angry. The tall man’s silhouette was familiar—broad-shouldered, dressed in his midnight-blue uniform, with the polished silver crest of the royal family gleaming faintly in the moonlight. He had been her personal protector for years, and though he had always been professional, there was a softer side to Lukas that she had come to trust.
She swallowed hard, her mind racing for an excuse. She hadn’t expected to run into anyone, much less Lukas. She opened her mouth to say something, but her words stuck in her throat.
Lukas stepped forward, his sharp gaze landing on the helmet tucked under her arm. His brow furrowed slightly, and for a moment, she feared he might drag her straight to the King and Queen.
Instead, he sighed, shaking his head slightly as if he couldn’t believe what he was seeing. “Out racing, were we?” His voice was quiet, but there was no mistaking the disapproval in his tone.
She winced, shifting uncomfortably. “I... I just needed to get out for a while,” she admitted, her voice small, but she couldn’t hide the smile that tugged at her lips. Even now, standing in front of Lukas, knowing she was about to get a lecture, she couldn’t help but feel a lingering joy from the night.
Lukas’s sharp eyes softened as he took in her expression—the light in her eyes, the flush on her cheeks. He sighed again, longer this time, and his shoulders relaxed just a fraction.
“You’re going to be the death of me, Your Highness,” he muttered, glancing around to make sure no one else was nearby. Then he looked back at her, his tone a little gentler. “You can’t keep sneaking out like this. It’s dangerous. If the King or Queen found out...”
She bit her lip, feeling the weight of his words, but the exhilaration of the night was still thrumming beneath her skin. “I know, Lukas,” she said softly, her smile faltering for the first time. “But... just for a little while, I needed to be something other than...” She trailed off, not wanting to finish the sentence, but Lukas understood.
“Other than the princess,” he finished for her, his tone quieter now.
She nodded, her eyes dropping to the helmet in her arms. “I just... It felt so good. No one recognised me. No expectations. I was just... me.”
Lukas studied her for a long moment, his stern expression softening further. He had been by her side long enough to understand how heavy the crown weighed on her, even though she wasn’t Queen yet. He saw it in the way she carried herself, always poised, always controlled. But now, standing here in the moonlight, he saw something else—something he hadn’t seen in her for a long time. Happiness.
Another sigh escaped his lips, and this time it was more resigned. Without a word, he reached out and gently took the helmet from her arms. She watched, surprised, as Lukas examined it for a moment, running his thumb over the smooth surface. Then he looked up at her, his voice firm but not unkind.
“I’ll cover for you tonight,” he said quietly. “If anyone asks, you’ve been in your room since before dinner. But,” he added, fixing her with a pointed look, “you absolutely cannot sneak out again. Not this week, not ever—not like this. It’s too risky. Do you understand?”
Her heart swelled with a mixture of relief and guilt. She had expected anger, a stern reprimand, maybe even being dragged straight to her parents. But Lukas’s understanding, his willingness to protect her, caught her off guard.
“I understand,” she said softly, grateful. “Thank you, Lukas. I— I’m sorry.”
Lukas’s expression softened even more, and he gave a small, almost imperceptible shake of his head. “Don’t be sorry,” he said. “I’ve watched you grow up. I know what this life asks of you. But you need to be careful, princess. You can’t take these kinds of risks.”
She nodded, her throat tight. “I won’t. I promise.”
For a moment, they stood in silence, the tension between them easing. Then Lukas glanced down at the helmet again, a faint smile tugging at his lips. “You’re getting into some interesting hobbies, Your Highness. Kart racing, huh?”
She grinned, a small laugh escaping her. “It’s... different,” she admitted. “But I love it.”
“I can see that,” Lukas said with a rare hint of amusement in his voice. “Just—if you’re going to be tearing around tracks at night, maybe let me know first. That way I won’t have to worry about losing you to some street racer.”
Her eyes widened, her heart skipping at the thought of Lukas discovering who she had been racing with. She quickly shook her head, laughing nervously. “No street racers,” she said. “Just... fun.”
Lukas gave her a knowing look, but he didn’t push. Instead, he held up the helmet and gestured toward the stable door. “Go on. Get inside before someone else spots you.”
She nodded, stepping past him, but before she could go, Lukas added, “I’ll keep this for now,” referring to the helmet in his hand. “Safer that way. I’ll give it back to you when it’s... less suspicious.”
She smiled, grateful. “Thank you, Lukas.”
Lukas just gave a small nod, watching as she slipped through the door into the palace, her heart still pounding with the remnants of the night’s excitement.
As she quietly made her way back to her room, she couldn’t help but smile. She had managed to keep her secret—thanks to Lukas—and despite the risks, she didn’t regret a moment of it. The track, Max, the rush of the race—it was all worth it.
But she knew Lukas was right. She couldn’t keep sneaking out like this. Not without being more careful. Yet even as she crawled into bed, the memory of the night’s freedom stayed with her, lingering like the glow of the moon outside her window. And as her eyes drifted closed, a small, rebellious thought crossed her mind: Maybe just one more race.

The Key by aussiebee - (Rating: G, Words: 7,450)
Eligible bachelor Derek Hale has announced that whomever can take the key from around his dog's neck will be the person he marries. Stiles Stilinski think this is utterly ridiculous.
The Moon Gave Me Permission by Melpomene (Aconitehart) - (Rating: Explicit, Words: 57,572)
“I probably shouldn’t tell you this,” Scott says, eyeing Stiles’ fries. “But Derek Hale is back in town. I saw him at the gas station the other day.”
This piques Stiles’ interest. Oh yes it does. Like any good true crime aficionado, Stiles has his favourite case. His pet cold case. His hometown murder. The thing he brings up when he’s tired of small talk and just wants to get real.
The Hale Family Fire and the suicide of Katherine Argent.
Stiles knows this case inside and out. He’s racked up thousands of karma points on reddit for his thoughtful analysis, his pictures of the crime scene, and of his reporting of local gossip. Beacon Hills is a small town, small enough that Stiles is the only one on the Unresolved Mysteries subreddit to have actually seen the burnt out shell in person.
He’ll tell anyone who listens what he finds fascinating about the case. Absolutely no shame. He’s read all of the articles, he’s pestered his father’s deputies for more information, and he’s read every cold case compilation book that so much as mentions it.
No one knows this case like Stiles does.

If there’s one thing Derek’s learned in life, it’s that crushing on someone who lives on an entire other fucking continent is probably a bad idea.
An Understanding Passed In Silence by cjr - (Rating: G, Words: 4,464)
It started off as something of a joke. One moment he was talking Scott’s ear off about some homework assignment and Scott made a joke that Stiles couldn’t spend a day without talking if he tried.
A Little Less Conversation by sweetbutterbliss - (Rating: T, Words: 1,316)
From anon on tumblr "A prompt if you are interested. Derek telling Stiles to shut up, like usual, but then, to the surprise of everyone, he does. And continues to do it, never speaking in Derek's presence and asking the pack to warn him when Derek arrives. Derek then needs to find a way to get the spastic kid to START talking."
Desperate by Hedwig221b - (Rating: Explicit, Words: 12,175)
Derek understood perfectly well how young Stiles was. Just how many times did he stop himself from digging his teeth into that lovely neck to claim him?
Maybe, next time he shouldn’t.
The thought, wild and sudden, came to him, and once it did, there was nothing he could do to get rid of it. If he got Stiles pregnant, then the omega would be his. Fully his. They would be bound for life. Stiles wouldn’t refuse the mating bite, then.
Stiles was his omega. Derek would do anything to keep him.
Anything.

Did You Really Mean It by In_Over_My_Head - (Rating: Explicit, Words: 1,846)
Looking around the empty loft, Derek reminded himself that he liked to be alone. It wasn’t too quiet with no one there, he repeated to himself for the hundredth time that night. The relief that flooded through him at the sound of his text message chime might have worried him if the message hadn’t been so confusing.
Stiles: you’re beautiful
Derek stared at the message for a minute not sure how to react. His heart raced, palms went a little sweaty, his breathe caught in his lungs, but that was just because he wasn’t used to hearing things like that from Stiles, right? It wasn’t a sign of any sort of emotion on his side. It couldn’t be. He’d squashed that a long time ago. This was Stiles, spastic, skinny, trip on his own shoelaces Stiles. The man that didn’t see Derek in any sort of romantic way and never had. There’s no way he really meant that, right?
5 Times Derek Experiences Sensory Overload + 1 Time Derek Experiences Sensory Joyby Warlock_Nerd - (Rating: G, Words: 5,604)
Derek is Autistic but he hasn’t told anyone in fear of not being taken seriously as an Alpha. Stiles, however, figured it out and made it his mission to help Derek not only for Derek’s Betas but for Derek to finally accept himself.
In other words, Derek has sensory issues and Stiles helps him through each one. :3
Ps - Author is Autistic and sees a lot of Autistic traits in Derek :3

𝙍𝙖𝙛𝙖𝙮𝙚𝙡 °‧🫧⋆.ೃ࿔*:・
The seaside manor was quiet, save for the soft cooing of the newest addition to the household, a round-cheeked, pink-lipped little bundle wrapped in frilly cream muslin, cradled peacefully in your arms.
Your toddler, all wild lilac curls and glimmering pink-blue eyes just like her Papa, was not thrilled.
She’d stood at the edge of the chaise lounge, arms crossed, lips pursed, glaring down at the newborn with the solemnity of a betrayed empress. Her lacy socks were slightly crooked, her plush toy was dragging by one ear, and her bottom lip was wobbling dangerously.
You looked up from rocking the baby and smiled gently, “What’s wrong, pearlie?”
And that was when she marched forward, stood on tiptoes, grabbed your face in both chubby hands, and with the full authority of a two-year-old spiraling into a power crisis, declared:
“Look at me. I’m the cute one.”
Dead. Serious.
You blinked. Rafayel, lounging on the nearby divan in his silken robe with his reading glasses perched halfway down his nose, choked on his tea. A smirk curled his lips immediately after, and he didn’t even bother hiding it.
You had to bite your lip to keep from laughing.
Five minutes later, there was a loud drag, drag, thump echoing from the hallway. She returned dramatically, her old star-printed blankie trailing behind her like a train, pacifier wedged in her mouth like a wartime accessory.
She plopped herself down at your feet, crossed her legs, and popped the pacifier out long enough to announce, “Fine. If you want a baby, I’ll be the baby again.”
You cooed softly, “Darling, you’ll always be Mama’s baby.”
But that wasn’t enough for her.
She stomped back up, wriggled between you and the newborn, and with all the gentleness of a tiny chaos god, she plucked the baby from your arms, like a doll, and shuffled over to Rafayel.
“Here,” she said sternly, as if she were donating a prize to charity. “You can have this one.”
Rafayel, amused beyond belief, blinked as his daughter unceremoniously deposited her sibling in his lap. The baby blinked up at him with your wide eyes and your sweet little nose, gurgling happily. He chuckled and brushed a kiss over their soft forehead.
“Oh? I’m being granted custody now?” he teased, letting the baby rest against his chest as his long fingers traced calming circles on their back. “How generous, little moon.”
But the toddler was already crawling into your lap again, blankie over her shoulders like a cape, arms flung dramatically around your neck.
“I’m the baby now,” she whispered, nuzzling into your chest. “Just you and me.”
Your heart melted completely.
You kissed the crown of her head, holding her close with one arm while reaching to tickle the baby’s foot in Rafayel’s lap with the other.
“Mama’s lap is big enough for both her babies,” you said softly.
But your daughter only clung tighter. “No, it’s not. Don’t be silly.”
Rafayel just grinned from across the room, eyes soft behind his glasses. “You’ve created a monster, my love,” he murmured with affection.
You kissed your daughter’s cheek, then smiled back. “And I’d do it again.”

The penthouse was quiet except for the soft ticking of the clock and the occasional rustle of silk as Zayne adjusted the swaddle around your newborn, who was sleeping peacefully in the curve of your arms.
She looked just like you.
Dark lashes. Your soft little nose. A tiny pout that was unmistakably inherited from your side of the family.
Zayne had noticed the resemblance immediately. He hadn’t said much, just stared for a long time in silence, one hand resting protectively on your back, eyes softened in a way that only you ever got to see.
But someone else in the apartment wasn’t quite so serene.
Your two-year-old daughter, Daddy’s little twin and fiercely proud of it, stood by the bedroom doorway in silence. Her messy black curls framed her little frowning face as she stared at the newborn in your arms with narrowed hazel-green eyes.
Not moving. Not blinking. Just watching.
“…Pumpkin?” you called gently.
She turned her head just slightly. Didn’t answer.
Zayne finally looked up from adjusting the newborn’s sleeve. “You can come here,” he said calmly, his voice always soft when speaking to her. “She’s your little sister.”
Still no movement.
“I’m not her sister,” your toddler finally mumbled. “I’m your baby.”
Your heart dropped a little.
Zayne blinked. “You still are.”
But she wasn’t convinced.
With the slow drama of someone bracing for war, she marched across the floor and plopped herself at your feet, grabbing a plush bunny she’d abandoned hours ago. She squeezed it hard and glared up at her baby sister, who was now sleep-smiling in your arms.
Your toddler didn’t like that at all.
“She looks like Mama,” she said accusingly, like it was the gravest betrayal she’d ever witnessed.
You gently ran your fingers through her curls. “You look like Daddy,” you offered with a smile. “Exactly like him. That makes you extra special.”
“No.” She shook her head furiously. “I wanna look like you.”
Zayne raised an eyebrow. “You used to tell me you were my ‘tiny twin.’”
“Well, I changed my mind!” she snapped, sniffling suddenly.
Without warning, she threw herself into your lap and buried her face into your nightgown, cuddling in tightly. You juggled both her and the baby, and Zayne quickly stepped in, hands steady as ever, lifting the newborn from your arms.
“I’ll hold her,” he said gently. “You’ve got your hands full.”
You mouthed a soft thank you as he stepped back, cradling your younger daughter with practiced ease. She stirred a little, then settled again into the soft cotton of Zayne’s shirt.
Your toddler peeked up.
Stared.
And very slowly… crawled up your lap like a determined koala.
“Am I still your favorite?” she asked in a whisper so small it nearly broke your heart.
“Of course,” you whispered back, kissing her cheek. “You’ll always be my favorite big girl.”
She didn’t respond right away, just sucked her thumb thoughtfully… then twisted around to glare at Zayne.
“Daddy,” she said seriously, “I think you need to take that baby to the hospital.”
Zayne raised a brow. “Why?”
“She’s sick.”
“…She’s sleeping.”
“No. She’s sick. She needs shots. Go now.”
Zayne let out the softest amused huff through his nose.
“She’s fine,” he said, deadpan. “But if you’d like, you can come with me to check her heart. You can even wear one of my stethoscopes.”
Your daughter paused.
“…Okay,” she finally whispered.
You smiled as Zayne slowly approached and let her peek at her new sister, guiding her little hand gently toward the baby’s chest so she could hear the faint thump of a heartbeat through the stethoscope he’d clipped to her ears.
Zayne looked at you from over her head, hazel green meeting yours in that quiet, unreadable way of his, and gently mouthed: She’s okay.
And in that moment, with your clingy toddler in your lap and your second daughter in Zayne’s arms, both of them wrapped in warmth and safety, you knew:
So were you.

It was just past twilight in the high-rise penthouse, the glass walls soaked in fading lavender light, your bedroom softly lit by gentle starlamps and the rhythmic hum of skycars outside.
Xavier sat cross-legged at the foot of the bed, shirtless in sleep pants, silver hair a mess from where your toddler had tugged on it earlier during a game of “pretend dragon.” He was dozing upright, again, with his head tilted against the headboard, a baby bottle forgotten in one hand.
And cradled against his chest, wrapped in a pale pink sleep wrap, was your newest little one.
Your second child.
She had your eyes. Your lashes. Your soft, pouty lips. Your nose, your cheeks, your little sleepy sighs.
And across the bed, at the edge of the mattress, stood your firstborn, your two-year-old daughter.
She looked exactly like Xavier. Same ethereal silver hair in twin buns, same piercing blue eyes narrowed in suspicion, same flat little mouth and stiff posture that screamed she was deep in silent judgment.
Her stuffed animal, an bunny, was clutched tightly in one arm like a weapon. And her eyes were locked on the sleeping baby in her father’s arms.
“…Mama,” she said, not breaking eye contact with her sibling, “there’s a baby in this house.”
You, seated beside Xavier while fluffing a pillow behind your back, blinked. “Yes, sweetpea. That’s your baby sister.”
Your daughter turned to look at you, slowly, like she wasn’t quite sure if you understood the situation.
“No. I’M the baby.”
Xavier stirred then, glancing blearily between his daughters with a confused squint. “Did… something happen? Is there a problem?”
Your toddler pointed accusingly. “You’re holding the wrong baby.”
Xavier blinked again, then looked down at the infant in his arms.
“…This one was crying,” he said, deadpan.
“I can cry,” she offered, helpfully. “Louder.”
You tried so hard not to laugh.
“You’ll always be my baby,” you soothed gently, reaching for her. “Come cuddle.”
She ran into your arms without hesitation, but as she burrowed her face into your chest, her small voice mumbled:
“She looks like you… now I look like nobody.”
You blinked, startled.
But Xavier’s brows furrowed faintly. He adjusted the baby carefully and laid her in her bassinet near the bed, then leaned over, brushing silver bangs from your older daughter’s forehead.
“You look like me,” he said quietly, almost confused by her distress. “Which is a very good thing.”
“No it’s not.”
“It is.”
“She has your voice,” your toddler added grumpily.
Xavier paused. “Do I sound like a baby?”
“…You sound like a sleepy frog.”
You snorted into your hand.
“She’s trying to say you sound gentle,” you translated.
Xavier tilted his head. “I don’t think that’s what she meant.”
But before either of you could comment further, your daughter squirmed out of your arms, marched over to her old crib in the corner of the room, pulled out her moth-blanket and pacifier, shoved the pacifier into her mouth, and marched right back.
“Fine. If you want a baby, I’ll be the baby again.”
She climbed onto your lap like she had never stopped being there and laid flat against your chest, glaring sideways at the baby bassinet like a tiny dethroned empress.
Xavier looked at you helplessly.
You just smiled, running your hand through your daughter’s soft hair.
“She’ll warm up,” you whispered. “Eventually.”
“Or she’ll eliminate the competition,” Xavier murmured dryly.
But as your toddler sucked her pacifier grumpily and you gently leaned to rest your cheek on her head, Xavier got up, kissed the top of both your heads, and sat cross-legged again near the bassinet, one arm curled protectively around the newborn.
“You don’t need to compete,” he murmured quietly, not really expecting her to hear. “You’ve always had her heart.”
Your toddler didn’t answer.
But two minutes later, she reached out sleepily from your lap, mumbled, “Okay. She can stay. But she sleeps over there.”
Fair enough.

The private wing of the estate was unusually quiet.
No clicks from Sylus’s hologlass tablet. No smug commentary. No orchestral soundtracks blaring from his weapons room.
Just you, nestled into a velvet fainting couch with a newborn sleeping peacefully against your chest, your second daughter, soft and angelic, with your exact features. Curled lashes, your mouth, your skin tone, your tiny little yawns.
You were in heaven.
But not everyone was.
Your two-year-old stood silently in the corner of the room, arms crossed, her silver hair up in a ridiculously lopsided bun she had insisted on doing herself. Her red eyes, mirror images of Sylus’s, were narrowed dangerously.
She didn’t blink.
Didn’t speak.
Didn’t move.
Just watched.
You gave her a warm smile. “Sweetheart, do you want to come see your baby sister?”
No response. Just a quiet inhale through her nose.
Like she was calculating.
Sylus walked in a moment later, still in his all-black silk set from your earlier cuddle nap, his long coat draped over his arm, and a smugness in his step that screamed he’d been waiting for this moment.
He glanced from you… to your daughter… to the baby.
“…Ah,” he said lazily. “So the power struggle begins.”
You gave him a look. “Be nice.”
He knelt in front of your daughter with the dramatic grace of a prince meeting a tiny, tyrannical queen.
“Well, Commander,” he said dryly, “You’ve been staring for eight minutes. Thoughts?”
“She’s small,” your daughter declared.
“Most babies are.”
“She looks like Mama.”
“Yes.”
“…I look like you.”
“Correct again.” He looked pleased.
Then came the real accusation. A whisper, soft but sharp as a knife:
“So does that mean you like her more?”
You let out a gentle gasp, but Sylus just hummed low in his throat.
“I like your mother most,” he said casually, which made your cheeks heat. “But you and I? We’re the dangerous ones. Everyone else just looks sweet. We’re the ones with bite.”
Your daughter considered that. Narrowed her eyes.
“…She cried loud,” she added.
“Terrible war cry,” Sylus agreed.
“She peed on the blanket.”
“Unacceptable.”
“…She kicked me in her sleep.”
He paused. “Okay, that one might be your fault. You snuck into her crib to ‘intimidate’ her, remember?”
“I was testing her limits.” Her tone was offended.
You laughed softly, stroking the newborn’s back as she snuggled into you.
But then, the toddler marched forward.
Stood right in front of you.
And very seriously reached up, took your cheeks between her tiny hands, and pulled your face down so your eyes met hers.
“Listen to me. I’m the cute one.”
Your heart melted.
“Of course you are,” you cooed, trying not to giggle. “You’re my very first perfect girl.”
She nodded once. Then, with deadly calm, turned and pointed to her father.
“You. Take that one.”
Before you could even blink, she carefully peeled the baby from your arms and, grunting a little with effort, deposited her in Sylus’s lap like she was offloading paperwork.
“She’s yours now. I’m staying with Mama.”
Sylus blinked. The baby blinked. You blinked.
“…Well then,” he said, settling the newborn against his shoulder like it was a business negotiation. “Looks like we’ve split custody.”
“No,” your daughter added, crawling into your lap and wrapping her arms around your waist. “I get full custody of Mama. You two can visit.”
“Oh?” Sylus drawled, raising a brow. “Even me?”
“Even you. Limited visitation.”
The smug glint in his eyes sharpened. Oh, he was so proud of her.
You smothered a laugh behind your hand while rubbing your daughter’s back.
But Sylus? Sylus just stood slowly, cradling the baby in one arm, and walked past the both of you, dropping a casual kiss to the crown of your daughter’s head.
“Enjoy it while it lasts, little tyrant,” he murmured. “She’ll be mine again after midnight.”
Your daughter clung to you harder, eyes narrowing.
“Try me.”
Oh no. You had two Syluses now.
And you were absolutely doomed.

The Skyhaven penthouse was still and quiet, the evening sun casting pale gold across the gleaming floors.
You sat in the nursery’s oversized armchair, soft blanket wrapped around your shoulders, a warm sleepy newborn dozing against your chest.
She was perfect.
Tiny. Calm. All softness and dimpled cheeks.
And so clearly yours.
She had your eyes. Your smile. Even the shape of your hands when she curled her fists in sleep. Caleb had gone completely silent the moment he saw her, one hand gripping the edge of the bassinet like he needed to steady himself, the other brushing his thumb under your chin as he stared between you and her like he’d never seen anything so… right.
He was in awe.
But someone else was not.
From the doorway of the nursery, your two-year-old stood frozen in her ruffled pajamas, dark hair mussed from nap time, her violet eyes wide and betrayed.
She looked like a tiny mirror of her father, same lashes, same pouty mouth, same brooding scowl.
She didn’t say anything at first. Just stood there clutching a plush toy shaped like a miniature Skyhaven ship, watching you hold the baby with absolute horror.
“Mama,” she finally whispered. “What’s that?”
You blinked. “This is your little sister, sweetheart. Come meet her?”
She took one cautious step forward, peering at the bundle in your arms.
Then her lips trembled.
“Why is she on you?” she whispered, accusatory.
“She’s a baby,” you said gently. “She needs lots of cuddles—just like you did when you were tiny.”
“I’m still tiny!”
You smiled. “You are.”
“Then cuddle me!”
And before you could even answer, she bolted forward, tried to climb into your lap, and, very dramatically, slid down your legs when she realized the baby was in the way.
Her face scrunched. She turned, eyes brimming.
“You love her more!”
You started to respond, but Caleb had already crossed the room, kneeling down beside her.
“Sweetheart,” he said lowly, gently brushing her bangs aside. “That’s not true. You’re our first girl. You made Mama smile like that for the first time ever. No one could ever take your place.”
She didn’t answer. Just pouted harder, bottom lip wobbling.
Caleb looked up at you. “Switch?”
You nodded.
He stood slowly, reached for the newborn, and you gently handed her over, watching as Caleb curled her against his chest like he’d done it a thousand times before. His face was soft. Protective.
And… maybe just a little smug.
Your toddler watched him. Then you.
Then walked up, yanked on your sleeve, and said, dead serious:
“You’re mine, not hers.”
You reached down and picked her up immediately.
“I’ll always be yours,” you said softly, kissing her flushed cheeks. “Always. You’re Mama’s girl.”
She sniffled and nestled into your chest, peeking over your shoulder to glare at the newborn in her father’s arms.
Caleb raised a brow. “She’s two hours old.”
“I don’t trust her.”
“She’s a baby.”
“She’s a thief.”
You had to hold in a laugh as your toddler clung to you tighter and mumbled, “If she needs a cuddle, Daddy can do it.”
Then she popped her pacifier in dramatically, dragged her old plush blanket out of the toy bin with one hand, and climbed fully into your lap, wiggling until she was wrapped in you completely.
Five minutes later, she peeked up at Caleb, who was still rocking the baby in a slow rhythm, and pointed toward him with solemn finality.
“Okay. That baby’s yours.”
Caleb blinked. “You’re assigning custody now?”
“Mmhm. Me and Mama are busy.”
“With what?”
She hugged you tighter. “Being in love.”
Caleb narrowed his eyes. “You’re just like her.”
She beamed through her pacifier. “I know.”
And all Caleb could do was sigh, glance down at the baby who looked just like you, and mutter:
“…I’m outnumbered.”

。 ₊°༺Meet Me At Our Spot By The Anxiety༻°₊ 。
જ⁀➴ Lost the ask for this but hopefully the Anon sees this and knows it's for them: excitedly chewing on legos OMG NO cause this is so juicy, like let me just rip out Jason's heart for a sec. Let me fill him with rage and break his heart a little.
˚ʚ♡ɞ˚ When Jason dies, he leaves a hole in your heart. One that you're certain the Red Hood can mend.
ᗢ=♡=ᗢ=♡=ᗢ=♡=ᗢ=♡=ᗢ=♡=ᗢ=♡=♡=ᗢ=♡
Your sister doesn't appreciate the little bird that follows her like a shadow.
She says his presence is like an eclipse, an eerie, tiring thing.
Some day she'll miss the repartee, the attention, the "friend" she made along the way, someday when the boy lays in a coffin six feet deep, as little birds tend to do. She'll realize that he took a part of her with him. Buried beneath the earth, left to rot and waste.
Of course, she only grows more frustrated when you say such things.
When you remind her how fleeting and fragile this life is.
He was the happiest of them all. Cheerful little bird following his father through the shadows, chirping in joy as he skipped to echolocation. Playing with a naive kitty who never fully understood that they were meant to be enemies.
It's funny looking back, realizing how fickle children truly are. How you used to joke so earnestly about eating him whole and plucking his feathers from between your teeth. As you both sat on a skyscraper's edge sharing a juice box. Jason would laugh, would throw his head back, and kick his legs.
"That'll just mean we'd be together forever. I can haunt you from the inside."
You do truly wish it had been you that had killed him. That you had gotten the chance to peel the meat from his bones and savor their flavor upon your tongue. You would have enjoyed the crunch and pop of the cobalt between your teeth. Enjoyed finally, finally being able to crack open his skull and unburden him of his terrors.
But in the end, the kitty cat never reached the robin.
No, it was in fact the clown that gobbled him whole.
There's a part of depression that's relatively saccharine. The isolation and the silver of worry you feel, sweating off people when they note the vibrations of melancholy you emit. You see your mother's concern and your sister's vexation. You like how it makes you feel powerful. Like a divine decree to burn and kill. But you never do go after the clown. Your mother had forbidden such fruitless endeavors.
"I don't need you in a coffin as well".
Still, you long to wring the Joker's neck between your claws.
You had met him in the dark of an alley almost three months ago.
Requiem is held here often, in the shadow of your skyscraper. The armistice sanctuary where the two of you had spent the final quarter of your nights. No war, no fighting, just two kids in masks lying in the moon's gentle rays.
Your bag of jewels slumps over your shoulder. It feels like the weight of the world.
In the dark, a red thing moves. The ground shakes under his steps as the gloom slips off his body. He is rejected by the dark and unwanted by the light. "What you got in the bag Kitty Cat?" his voice is distorted, like an echo escaping a pit.
You jump, clawing for his arm upon descent, but the fabric he wears is too thick, the attack never reaches his skin. He uses your confusion to land a kick between your ribs. You slid over the concrete street, friction slivering the side of your uniform and the flesh beneath. When you look up again, he's seized the jewels and is halfway through scaling a nearby building. He turns to you, the white eyes of his mask sink into the crevasses of your soul. His fingers touch the side of his masked head in a mock salute.
"Haven't lost your touch sweetheart"
You spend most of the day sleeping in the sun, the only bearable thing left to do. You dream in shades of sugar plums and lilies. Sweet things that keep the bitter nightmares away.
It's gotten so hard to wake up lately.
So hard to stay awake.
Batman once told you that time heals all wounds. Maybe when you're older you'll forget the frantic patter of your heart when Jason smiled at you.
A shadow blocks the sun, making you stir. Red menace that bears death like a perfume. When you look at him, your body chills. You choke on foreign nostalgia. Deja vu pricks at your bones trying to engrave itself upon the marrow. Why does the Red Hood feel like a forgotten memory? Like a lullaby, your mother used to sing.
He doesn't leave, he just stares. Unblinking white lights instead of eyeballs. Trained on your body. You feel naked under his gaze. It's almost as if he's torn you apart and memorized every little detail about you. Refusing to sew you up again. He leaves you an open cadaver for his cruel entertainment.
Hours pass, he only ever stares.
You've stopped sleeping since that day.
His ghost haunts you. Flickering in the moonlight as you sink beside an alley wall. When you look up, Jason is there beaming down at you. Jejune, unscarred in every way. You feel phantom kisses across your knuckles.
Just a street cat and her dead birdie.
When did depression and insomnia become such good friends?
"I miss you" you whispered, as tears slid down your cheeks. You blink, trying to relieve the irritation in your eyes. When something blunt and cold presses against your forehead. He's there, the red menace, the annoying thorn that wedged too deeply into your flesh. Pointing his favorite handgun at your head. You almost wish he would shoot.
When the light hits his helmet just right, it's like an open head wound.
"You look so ethereal in the moonlight, like a corpse bleeding out."
He's taken aback by your statement, he tenses, his fingers twitch. In anger or shock, you aren't quite sure. "You're really disturbed, you know that kitty?" His tragicomic lilt tastes so irritably sweet. You can't help but laugh like a madman.
Maybe Batman was right, maybe time does heal all wounds.
Maybe you've finally found your eschar.
When Red Hood punches you, hard enough to fracture bone, you can't help but relish in sickly-sweet sentimentality.
He's so familiar but you just don't know why.
Osteonic, pneumonic your body remembers while you do not.
"Keep throwing punches like that and I might think you hate me, darling." You blow him a fake kiss before he sweeps your feet, making you fall back.
He straddles your hips, pinning you to the ground. You gave him a fake pout before his hand is on your throat. Squeezing, harder and harder. It's like he's trying to push stars inside you, making you connect them and form constellations to say everything he never can.
Spots dance across your vision as you offer him a final giggle.
"Come on kitty, I thought you could take a little roughhousing."
It happens again.
He's so haunting in the daylight. Like a ghost twice dead.
He's staring
He's always staring
You didn't need to see his open casket
You would have thought him sleeping
He's dead he's dead he's dead
You say it so often these days it's like a mantra.
Jason, Red Hood.
Where does one begin and the other end?
You can't keep pushing the ghost of your childhood friend into the first new vigilante in town. But you can't help it.
It's like Jason's been reincarnated.
Like he's finally returned.
You've taken to reading Hamlet.
Not because you want to.
But because you feel like the answer to these phantoms lies between the ivory pages.
Or maybe it's because you wish to study Ophelia's madness. In hopes of finding a cure for your own.
You feel like Ophelia drowning in the river creek.
You feel like Hamlet arguing with apparitions.
"I hate you." He screams one night, he's been chasing you for the better part of an hour after your recent heist at the museum. You laugh and throw him a kiss as you jump to the next building. But midair Red Hood tackles you, using your body to cushion his fall. Your bodies rest entwined atop that familiar skyscraper. "I love this place" you mutter from underneath him. "I used to come here with my best friend when we were young. It was..."
"...Our spot" he finishes. He lets out a bitter chuckle that sounds more like a profanity aimed straight at you. He stands again, knees keeping you pinned down, digging into your hips. His fist collides with your face again. He does it so often now you've come to almost love them.
"Jason" you murmur as the blood trickles down your nose, you feel something in your eye pop as you laugh. "You remind me so much of him".
Red Hood stands taller. For a second the world stills. He reaches behind and pulls up his helmet...
There's a popped blood vessel in your eye. Or many a concussion has bloomed within your skull. Regardless the vision flickering before you can't be real.
"I've got you under my skin" he murmurs as he lays a chaste kiss upon your cheek. "No matter what I do, I just can't get rid of the thoughts of you." He pulls your body up and embraces you so tightly. You only whisper his name like a scared prayer. Inhale his scent like ichore. He's too solid to be a ghost. Or maybe you're finally dead.
Jason buries his face in your neck. Muffling his sobs as he bites into your shoulder, letting your taste erupt inside his mouth. He's missed you, he's missed you more than anything else. It hurts knowing you'd be willing to replace him with someone else. Hurts that you fell for the first wise-cracking man in a mask that you met. But it's okay, it's fine, he can punish you later. For now, all that matters is that you're right where you belong.
At your spot, with him.
"I'll never leave you again kitty, I promise"
