My favorite source of crack AUs is taking a piece of media and then putting characters from a different piece of media on a wheel to decide who is in which role, starting with 3-5 key characters and watching the chaos unfold.

Our current casting includes:

Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes: Soichiro Yagami (Lucy Gray Baird) and Ryuk (Coriolanus Snow) have a situationship that ends so horrendous Ryuk makes it everyone's problem for decades to come.

Sunrise on the Reaping: Shuichi Aizawa (Haymitch Abernathy) is not allowed to be happy, brutally murdered loved ones and descent into alcoholism edition.

Hunger Games: Light Yagami (Katniss Everdeen) somehow becomes the main character again, and because Ohba possessed the wheel to hate women, Touta Matsuda (Peeta Mellark) got dragged along for the ride. District 12 has no female victors.

Welcome to this year's UraIchi Prompt Challenge! For our 8th PC, we will be focusing on crossovers!

Like we did for a previous mini-event, this year will also have a spin-the-wheel component. For PC8, you will be spinning for at least one random fandom and creating a crossover fanwork with it. A total of 300 different fandoms were nominated in the space of a week, so you'll have plenty to choose from. For most of them, I tried to copy the fandom names straight from the AO3 tags. The only exceptions are if they're not on AO3, or if I thought a catch-all name suited it better (ie. Marvel Comics (Any) because there are just too many of them, and this way you can pick whichever Marvel comic/movie/etc. you want). But overall, all fandoms that were nominated have been included in one of the wheels.

Before we get into that though, here are the rules for PC8:

1) Fanworks must be UraIchi-centric and complete. Obviously, this year, they must also be crossovers in some shape or form. UraIchi can be romantic or platonic (lovers, friends, family, enemies, etc.), so long as you can stick a / or an & between them, and they and their interactions are the main focus. 2) Any kind of fanwork is allowed if you can pull it off (fic, art, vid, gifset, etc.). There is no word limit for fics. 3) Poly ships are fine so long as UraIchi is in there somewhere. 4) The general definition of a crossover is a fanwork where two or more fandoms are combined in some way. For the purpose of this event, dimension travel, fusions, isekai, reincarnation, and resurrection would all count so long as your work includes at least one other fandom outside of Bleach. Likewise, Bleach must obviously be one of the fandoms. Basically, so long as Bleach and 1+ Other Fandom(s) are combined in some way, starring UraIchi as the main characters, then you should be good. If you are unsure whether your idea of a crossover counts, you can always send in an ask to check.

The due date for this event is December 31st, 2023, and the AO3 Collection will open at 12am (PST). I’ll reblog this post with a link to the collection closer to the date.

As I mentioned before, I used Wheel Decide to make the wheels, but each wheel has a limit of 100 items, so since we ended up with 300 fandoms, I've had to split it into 3 wheels.

There's no specific theme or category for each wheel. I threw everything into a random choice generator, and then threw the results onto each wheel in batches of 100, so it's all random, and you can play this in a number of ways. You could just pick one wheel, spin, and get your fandom that way. You could also spin two or three wheels, and then pick your favourite out of the fandoms you get. Or you could spin all three wheels and write a four-fandom crossover like a crazy person. The point is, there's pretty much no wrong way to go about cobbling together your crossover.

If you want to submit more than one fanwork, feel free to spin for as many as you want to write/draw/etc. (of course, they should all be complete). And yes, you can spin more than once if you're really stuck on the fandom you get, or you just don't know the fandom at all.

a random headcanon: ah... i can't remember how canon this is, but i think the headband was a result of specifically not just asriel having horns but noelle growing in her antlers. i mean, between the dreemurrs and the holidays, baby kris was just surrounded by monsters with "horns"

general opinion: i love kris!!!! i think they're a super well done protagonist in that you don't know much about them, they don't want you to know them, and everything you learn must be from other characters. i think it's a really neat way to go about the concept of controlling a character against their will. because you can go around town trying to glean more information on them, but other characters will notice that this is very out of character of kris

Okay, I’ve never asked for a ship and I’m not sure if I’m doing this correctly. I’m 5’4 (162.56 cm) girl with a dark brown buzzcut. I’m a fourth Indian and three fourths black. I’m about 130 pounds (58.967 kilograms). I identify as demisexual. I’m outspoken, lazy and (apparently) a natural-born leader. I don’t believe in gender norms and try to stay openminded when meeting new people for the first time. I’m also incredibly introverted to the point where distant relatives are genuinely surprised to see me at family reunions. Monster prom pride month: day 3!

So I rolled my first ship on my random wheel and am instantly regretting putting ships on there because MY GOD. I have been at this for nearly 10 hours. So that being said… I really hope you guys like it because this piece cost me so so so much of my sanity :,)

WEBTOON RANT:

Okay I’ve finally got some time, had to take a mini break since everything is starting back up for me. But thanks to recent rants sent to me, I believe either the first or second rant sent actually (thank you so much for reminding me, I would’ve forgotten all about this otherwise), I can finally speak about how the comment section in romance genres especially although sadly it seems to be in any genre with a love interest or “shipping” material involved in it are ridiculously misogynistic and quite disturbing to interact with and read about.

Now before getting into this I wanna make it clear that I’m only speaking about the behavior that a lot of people on the app display and I’ll only be saying things pertaining to that. This is in no way trying to bash or turn people against webtoon users, I’m a webtoon user so that’s extremely hypocritical, this is really just to voice my opinion on something I’ve seen literally over the years. Is shipping fun and interesting? Yes, I’m not saying that these people should never ship two characters again I’m just going to be talking about the way people tend to react when there’s someone “ threatening” the ship.

Anyways, let me start off by saying this. I used to be an extreme shipper, I quite literally used to ship characters who stood beside each other with little to no chemistry at all. I didn’t even think about the logistics of actual shipping I just found two random characters and pronounced them lovers, it was terrible. That being said I understand first hand how it feels to want so badly to see your ship “sail” and for the two characters you adore so much to find that spark within each other, there’s no shame in wanting two characters to be together of course but there’s a boundary that I never crossed and you should cross as well.

That boundary being that you shouldn’t harass anyone involved with the product you’re viewing. Obviously this isn’t just a webtoon problem it’s a media problem, I’ve seen tons of hate messages and death threats go out to people who either voice acted the characters, created the characters, involved with the characters, or the company that produced it. It should never get so serious that you’re willing to threaten someone’s life over a few fucking pixels, that’s absolutely unacceptable and it’s uncalled for. No matter what happens to your favorite character or ship never should there ever be a time where you are going out of your way to harass someone you don’t even know. You don’t know what they’re dealing with and you don’t know how hard anything is for them so instead of being an asshole and doing things like that take a deep breath, step away from the computer and go watch something happy instead of purging yourself into darkness over one chapter of your favorite love interest talking to someone else (a woman most likely).

This goes for people who do stuff like that in real life too. It’s normal to see two celebrities interacting with each other and thinking “oh they could make a good couple” or something of that nature, I’m not getting on you for thinking two people could possibly be a good couple. But it becomes a problem when you are actively trying to DM these people, stalk, harass, insult, and berate these HUMAN BEINGS into dating each other. This is not one of those kid websites where you can put two peoples names on a wheel and see how compatible they are this is real life and what you’re doing is harming and hurting real people. Please distance yourself away from them and let them live peacefully and maybe even put some thought into deconstructing the obvious par-asocial relationship you’ve created with them, get to the root of it, and be better.

Now that I’ve gotten that out of the way I can move onto the topic of Webtoon. Pretty sure you might’ve forgotten I was even talking about that since I brought along two other topics but this is the paragraph(s) to remind you of them. Now if you’re not new to Webtoon then you’ll understand exactly what I’m talking about when I say that a lot of the romance genres have a lot of misogynistic people down in the comments. Whether it be misogyny from within or from the opposite gender it’s very prevalent when it comes to stuff like this. It’s just gotten to a point where it’s incredibly uncomfortable to even open or scroll down to the comments because whenever there’s another female character introduced to the story everyone loses their shit in very disturbing ways. It’s tiring to see fans wish death on yet another female character or insult her using disgusting language that you would most likely find in misogynistic men, it’s come to a point where it seems like you can’t even say another woman’s name in your own comic without everyone grabbing their pitchforks and forming a mob.

Listen again, I understand the passion behind the ships. I’m not invested in ships as much as I used to be because I grew out of them but this whole bias against women in favor of male characters are very disheartening. All women should be able to be respected and not treated or called words like “bitches” or “sluts” or “whores”, etc. It’s demeaning to hear and very unnecessary, besides there’s probably plenty people who love the very characters you speak so badly about. Just like how you want your ship to last they want their characters to have a proper story without being shamed before they could even do something wrong and just like how you get defensive over your ships other people get defensive about their favorite characters as well. Treat people how you’d like to be treated because I’m sure you would be hurt if other people treated you like you treat everyone else.

Last thing but also stop bashing people for liking those characters as well. I don’t see a reason why the fandoms have to attack people who enjoy the other women in the comics. Just like how you may relate or like how the main character is written someone else could enjoy how the other female character is written. It’s all a matter of being mindful and having the maturity not to hunt someone down over something like a ship, I understand the frustration but it should never go beyond that and turn into absolute hatred.

OFC!!! poly bakusquad is kinda like. my brand. i’m always thinking abt them

katsuki is the only one in the bakusquad who can drive. but somehow mina is the only one with a car. and this car.... ohhhh boy. it’s a volkswagen camper van that is falling apart. katsuki has to hit it a few times for it to turn on after putting in the keys. smoke and a funky smell comes out of it when it’s on. this car is so ugly. mina has glitter everywhere, on the seats, the floor, every nook and cranny. she has this pink fluffy steering wheel cover and pink cheetah print seat covers. fluff ball keychains are hanging from the mirror. this car is so old and ugly and tacky and they absolutely love it.

denki always has a sharpie with him and he draws little drawings on the inside when they’re driving around. usually it’s a bunch of stick figures of the whole squad together but he also likes to draw dicks just because he can. the outside is also spray painted by them all with random words and phrases and drawings that all happen to be their inside jokes. they switch between calling this car the “fuckwad mobile” and some frat boy name like “todd”. occasionally it’s called “the bakubabe”

denki, hanta, and eijirou bang on the ceiling a lot too to get katsuki’s attention in the front. 3 bangs signifies they want mcdonald’s (which is a very common occurrence for them), 2 means bathroom, and 1 means stop the car. (only when there’s an emergency. ex: someone is having a panic attack)

there’s a singular blanket in the back seat that they tend to pass around. it’s the “napping blankie” as denki calls it. hitoshi usually has it the most.

they take this car out every friday after school and just. drive. they like to go to convenience stores and fuck around, buying a lot of candy and random knick-knacks for the car. they bought one of those little hula ladies that sits on the dashboard. (her name is agatha)

they drive and drive and drive until past curfew. then they go to mcdonald’s, buy two twenty pieces of chicken mcnuggets, a fuck ton of fries, and some milkshakes and head back to the dorms. they hang out in katsuki’s room, with his fairy and led lights on, watching shitty foreign shows and making fun of the plot and just. hang out and have fun eating their shit food. those nights they all end up falling asleep in a giant cuddle pile, half of them on katsuki’s bed and the other half on the floor.

they take this car out for every group date too. one time katsuki woke them all up at 4, told them to get ready and then drove to some empty field 3 hours away. he let them sleep on the way there of course.

when they got there, he went and set up blankets and shit for a cute little picnic. he parked the van next to the spot too, so they could keep the trunk open and sit in there too. kyouka wasn’t too sleepy so she helped katsuki set up. (she also planned this date with katsuki, the two of them.)

so all day, they hung out in that field. laying in the grass, watching the clouds pass by, talking about everything and nothing at the same time. just being together. in each other’s presence. and that’s all they could ever want.

they love this car sm. it’s been through so much with them. they joke around that it’s their baby, but they can all tell they’re not joking. this car is like their glue, at least in a physical yet metaphorical sense.

Ah, Ep 4 gave me mixed feelings. IkSong aside, this episode had a lot of things happening at once so my emotions were quite literally thrown from one end to another in like split seconds. There are things I liked about this ep and things that I didn’t, but for the sake of uniformity I will stick to talking about IkSong in my tumblr posts!

Again, this is just my opinion and mostly musings of my own.

TL;DR: Songhwa is taking first steps towards spending time alone with Ikjun and hopefully discovering things along the way!

I loved how we got Songhwa calling Ikjun in this instance and telling him excitedly that the cafeteria is serving drumsticks! This moment may seem insignificant to non-shippers but I think it goes in line with the whole “steadily and slowly” principle for this slowburn couple. It shows that Songhwa is slowly reaching out to Ikjun again and I like that we got to see this invitation! 

She called him again even knowing that he already has a lunch date keke and this time Ikjun is keen to leave bc of obvious reasons - he didn’t want to 5th wheel a couple and a potential couple (his new targets? hahah).

The fact that Ikjun never said “Songhwa-ya” but Seokhyung KNOWS it is Songhwa? I wonder what gave that away? His tone? The way he smiled? Or was it simply Seokhyung’s intuition? I always thought that Seokhyung is a pretty observant person, he just doesn’t say things out loud but he definitely knows what is happening around him. 

She even bought coffee for him <3 I am loving this two way street. 

Also, this entire scene was honestly made up of the most random conversations ever. But, it’s a conversation that is so in tune to IkSong. It shows mundane and domesticity because they’re discussing about their mothers sending them way too much side dishes despite being grown adults. I love this. The only other time Songhwa has ever spoken something personal about her family was during Sujebi where she told him about her father’s hearing aids. 

It’s funny that Ikjun’s one condition ended up being sharing his perilla leaves with her. Them swapping side dishes is so oddly endearing! Do close friends do that? Maybe. Kekeke.

In the other scene, my heart totally melted when Songhwa brought up Uju. Once again, their conversation is borne out of natural comfort no matter how random the topic can get. They went from talking about Uju and Mone to reminiscing about their past as interns - ONLY FOR SONGHWA TO COMFORTABLY BUST INTO A SONG IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE!!! 

I don’t want to read too much into the choice of song Songhwa chose to sing...but...try googling Couple by Sechskies and you will realise the lyrics are very IkSong kekekeke

I laughed so hard because Ikjun’s expression was hilarious. He was embarrassed by her tone deaf singing that he sat so far, yet he waited for her uninterruptedly and even clapped for her. Friends, if there ever is anyone who would put up to your tone deaf singing like this maybe you should consider marrying them. I loved that Songhwa was also wearing his jacket. While we didn’t see how that happened, at least we got to see that Songhwa held onto the jacket right until they headed back into the hospital. I mean, that shows the level of comfort between them, right? Without her having to overthink that that gesture means something more considering everything that has happened. 

“This is nice,” Oh Songhwa, I just want you to be happy. You were so happy in this episode, honestly and I live to see that. If you two remain to be this happy for the rest of the episodes honestly I guess I wouldn’t mind seeing this similar rapport with or without endgame huhuhuhu (as long as you two are happy)

Anyway! I thought that, even though these two scenes were placed at quite a random timing with the most carefree of conversations, they were included in this episode for a reason.

And that reason in my opinion at least is because of that one scene between Songhwa and Seonbin:-

For the first time, we are able to see a little insight of Songhwa and her past relationships. And here, she specified that it was exhausting trying to go all out in mending a relationship after having arguments with her ex-bf. Of course this screencap doesn’t encapsulate all that she said but basically I have a feeling that she is now in an ‘idle’ state with Ikjun because she believes in the principle of “what is meant to be, will be” (referencing to the line of asking Seonbin to just wait, and that if they both don’t want it to end, and if they don’t stay apart, then everything will be ok).

Hmm :)

Who called who in this episode and spent some time alone with him twice I wonder...

And finally THIS statement!!! 

With just this one sentence alone we are able to tell that Songhwa wants to just leave it to fate for now. To wait and see what happens. That she’ll go along with the flow and whatever that comes from it. I take this as a positive sign for us because in this episode itself we’ve gotten her slowly opening up to Ikjun and wanting to spend time with him alone. She even wore his jacket!!!

I think that she hasn’t expressed much of her feelings directly for Ikjun bc following her principle, she’s just letting nature take its course. She’s still trying to figure out her feelings for him in my opinion, without overthinking too much and just...wanting to see if her spending time with Ikjun means something more than it should.

I’m excited to see what is in store for us in future episodes because I feel that this is just the beginning for Songhwa. We got a bit of her POV here, though not in a way we want to (which is a direct hint at IkSong) but it’s good enough to know that she isn’t entirely opposing the idea, just that she’s waiting to see where life takes her next. 

I hold on to the fact that regardless of their relationship status, Ikjun will always be the one to make her laugh. She clearly enjoys his company and clearly is comfortable enough to share personal topics with him. So yes, I am still holding hard onto the IkSong stocks! I fell so hard for this ship in the beginning because of the domesticity between them anyway, that natural rapport and affection they have for each other. Be it platonic or not, they are the IkSong couple we love so much because of that very reason so as long as they remain as happy like this, I think I’m good. (But, I’m not giving up yet okay! My cut off point is EP 6 honestly haha)

chifuyu is the perfect boyfriend- so attentive and caring. makes sure I feel loved, everyday. even when he’s not near. he’ll leave little post-it notes on the bathroom mirror saying “you look beautiful”, “i love you so much”, “i’m so proud of you”.

chifuyu would absolutely love going everywhere and anywhere with me. taking a random drive at night in the city, the stars shining brightly above us and the moonlight dripping along the horizon as it says good night to the sun.

random grocery shopping trips- he’d always sit in the shopping cart and make me push him a down the aisles as he picked up every sweet he could find but he’d still look at me and say “but nothing is sweeter than you, princess”

walk around the park as the suns golden rays dipped and sewed themselves along the falling horizon. whenever he looked cute i would take his picture and he would smile at me and said in soft spoken tones “i should be taking your picture- you’re the most beautiful thing i’ve seen today”

Virgil likes to do things like dying Princey's coat purple or filling his shampoo with glitter. Roman tries to get him back in the same caliber, but his pranks backfire most of the time or Logan gets caught in the crossfire. They owe him dinner after Logan winds up with a face full of slime.

Roman of course. He sings Ariana Grande with passion, moves on to Lil Nas with ease. Virgil is terrified to ride in the car with him driving because Roman will straight up let go of the wheel if he's particularly inspired. So Logan drives.

Neither Roman nor Virgil drink coffee, but they'll make a pot for Logan whenever he's working. Roman guesses his measurements for sugar and creamer, and Logan accepts it graciously. Virgil doesn't like to try and guess and just lets Roman handle it.

Roman loves romcoms and Disney so of course, he tries to pick those every time. Logan makes him break up the routine with other genres.

Roman is a romantic and loves to drop nicknames and fanciful compliments. They always make Virgil roll his eyes or act flustered. On the rare occasion Virgil compliments Roman, the prince won't shut up about it. He teases him and Virgil clams up. Logan finds them both endearing and will give his own in private, snuggled up on the couch or in bed.

Who is always stealing food from the other’s plate?

Virgil does it only when no one is looking. Logan knows he's doing it but doesn't mention it. Roman is none the wiser.

They all share cars. No one really borrows Virgil's, as it's messy and rarely has gas in it, but Roman and Logan have no issue sharing their cars.

Virgil doesn't make a list until he's about to head out and winds up having to call to make sure he got everything. Roman will make a list and not call, thinking for sure he got everything. He didn't. Logan is the most organized, making a list and writing prices down as he shops. He does randomly get calls from Roman, the prince saying he suddenly remembered he needed more face wash and gummy worms.

Who makes sure the other takes their meds when sick?

They're all very good about their medicine, but Logan will always check and make sure. Virgil tries to stop his antibiotics before he's run the full course, saying he's s fine and he's fully recovered, but Logan makes sure he finishes everything.

Who watches sports and has to teach the other the rules?

Logan watches the Spelling Bee. Neither of the others wants to know the rules of how to spell words in competition.

Roman, much like his brother, is always the dancer. He gets very inspired and will dance all over the house. Logan doesn't like to join in on the energetic songs, but he does love to watch the swing in Roman's hips. Virgil has to be in a really good mood to join in, but he also loves watching Roman's ass hips.

Who has to keep reminding the other to hurry or they’ll be late?

Virgil drags when they have to get ready, but with two boyfriends who want to ensure they're on time, they inspire him to get out of bed.

Virgil only gets subtle tattoos, like a symbol or a letter, but never their full name. Roman is the same way. He doesn't like to get words but will get images or symbols. Logan doesn't get tattoos.

Thoughts on Wildmoore in the latest ep + other random thoughts.

I love that Sophie pulled Ryan into her for that hug. When Sophie got in Ryan’s face I was like kiss her, kiss her to shut her up and make her feel better lol. But the hug was good too. I really love that Sophie knows Ryan is Batwoman. Yes it would have been fun to get some more teasing out of it before she just told her she knew, but there is so much that could not be done if Sophie didn’t know. Now she can be part of the team and I absolutely adored Sophie quarterbacking from the bat cave. Sophie’s “talk to me” had be swooning. They’re a good team. I like that Sophie stood up for herself against Ryan (didn’t I say that if Ryan started blaming Sophie that would be bogus. I love how Sophie was like that’s where I draw the line) and then Ryan ends up not blaming Sophie but blaming herself. I just really like that Sophie isn’t scared to stand up to Ryan because Ryan can be a bit intimidating when you do things she doesn’t like. And it comes off like Sophie tries to please Ryan at times so I’m glad that she put her foot down like don’t blame this shit on me. They have a really raw and honest dynamic between them. It’s easy to be friends when you both agree and never fight and everything is plain and simple- but I actually really love the conflict that often occurs between them. It makes it more real and also makes the relationship more interesting if they do end up romantically falling for one another. They challenge each other and hold each other accountable. 

I like that Sophie actually listens to Ryan about the Crows shit. She doesn’t usually argue back because she knows Ryan is right. And I like that it doesn’t just go in one ear and out the other. You can see the wheels in Sophie’s head turn when Ryan calls something out and Sophie has to pause like wow, she’s right. Sophie is a realllly good character. She admits flaws and tries to amend them. And Ryan is so flawed and I love it a lot. It’s like they said in that panel: LGBTQ characters don’t have to be perfect- they are allowed to be problematic and have flaws because in real life that’s how we are. I just see so much of myself in Ryan because I am hot headed and I can be wrong and hard headed and I'm an asshole sometimes and I’m always challenging people on stuff but I love deeply and fiercely and it’s just refreshing to see her have a personality that isn’t cookie cutter and boring. 

I do hope that before the season is over that Ryan really starts to recognize and appreciate more of what Sophie has sacrificed. She quit the Crows, she went against everything that she knew and believed in, she puts herself at risk constantly and I want to see Ryan acknowledge that a bit more. Sophie has had Ryan’s back through and through since the start of season 2 and she doesn’t always get enough credit from Ryan (I also recognize that Ryan has a right to be pissed). I’m not saying Ryan needs to pat Sophie on the back and give her cookies for doing the right thing but come on Ry- Sophie really goes out on a limb for her. I hope we build off the hug and build off Sophie quitting the Crows. I don’t want steps backwards and I don’t want any more of Ryan beating up on Sophie’s previous Crow involvement/engagement. 

Other stuff:

-Rachel continues to impress me with her acting. Like I wish she was more recognized but also I know if she was an “A-lister” it would probably ruin her. Also the way she is personality wise I know she wouldn’t want all that fame. But damn she’s amazing. 

-I love Ocean and Alice together. Am I the only one? I’m such a sap and I love their love for each other. Alice reflects what I see in myself a lot; her vulnerabilities and her insecurities. She’s so puzzled by someone falling in love with her after how much she has tried to push them away. She doesn’t get it. And I often feel those things. You like me? You’re in love with me? Why though? I’m a fuckin mess.

-I’m excited for more Kate/Alice. 

-Also random but how long are they going to keep up this Imani and Ryan thing? 😩 Imani wasn't even in this episode. It’s like are they dating? Are they fuk buddies? The off handed off screen, “oh I was with Imani” shit is not gon fly with me. 

-Why do I ship Luke and Evan now?

-UMMM can we get more of Evan and Mary friendship!!!? I didn’t like him before when he was rude to Ryan and came off very stereotypical gay boy but I really liked him in this episode. 

-Luke deciding he didn’t want to live anymore really hurt my heart and I think it got glossed over but I loved Camrus tweeting out what he did.
