This is a list of every new boss darkener in my deltarune chapter 3 take!

I be giving a summary of each of the characters above from left to right, below

Scare E:

Scare E got her name by looking... well, Scary!

She's actually quite polite and well mannered

Her appearance often frightens other darkeners away, makes sense considering she can take off her own head

However Tenna sees her frightening appearance and gives her a great opportunity

She now stars in several dark world horror films

Her light world object is a ripoff lego person

Chefstago:

The fantastic and slightly crazy sous chef

Chefstago snaps if anyone ruins his masterfully made dishes

The other chefs both respect and fear him

He's the only one allowed to make meals for Rook

He once sold 1 thousand cook books in a day

When Spamton was still permitted in the tv world, he tried to make a deal with Chefstago, unfortunately since Chefstago is crazy, he misinterpreted the deal and ended up charging Spamton for 1 thousand cook books

He's a snail because it's a reference to the snail pie in undertale hard mode

His light world object is a cinnamon butterscotch pie

Da Boss:

Da Boss is da boss of da Shadowmen

Da Boss cannot say the word "the" instead he replaces it with "Da"

He isn't very bright

In fact he can be easily tricked

His hat obscures half of his vision but he refuses to fix it since he thinks he looks cool like that

He's trys to be threatening but he fails

His light world object is one of the figures on Toriel's windows

Phanta:

They're a shopkeeper

They tells you where to find the ShadowMantle

They can't take off their mascot costume anymore

They're very disfigured because, along time ago they got into a confrontation with Elephanto because they want to leave which caused a fight between them, Elephanto easily won which left Phanta badly damaged, but don't worry! Elephanto used his string powers to stitch them back up, unfortunately they're now permanently stitched into her suit

That got really f#%king dark, didn't it?

There light world object is a broken CD

Elephanto:

I'm sure you got a positive view on him after that last section

Elephanto wasn't always his name, it use to be Filmin

Filmin use to record shots for movies and shows backstage for Tenna

One day Tenna gave him his own chance to shine as the main actor in Elephanto's show

He dressed up as Elephanto and got so much joy from bringing happiness to children across the globe

Until one day colored shows came out and Elephanto's ratings got lower and lower until his show was canceled

After this he started to spiral into madness

He started to believe he was Elephanto and he'd never want to take off his costume

He'd start getting very angry over little things

Eventually at his door a script arrived, he couldn't read the symbols but once he looked inside it, it sent him over the point of no return

He refused to let any of his actors leave the show or take their costumes off

He blocked off the outside world from entering or exiting

And he obsessed over putting on a show so good that'd "BREAK-THE-4TH-WALL!" once and for all

He had almost given up on this until he saw an old friend of his, Kris

Elephanto is the secret boss of my chapter 3 take

He uses the purple soul

He's hesitant to hurt kris in his 2 battles, even throwing in healing bullets in his 1st fight

In both his fights he will not kill you, if your health's low enough in the 1st fight the battle will end and in his second fight he'll always only go after kris once susie and ralsei are down, ending the fight if they're down and kris is at low enough hp, however you don't win it just puts you back to the previous room and restarts the fight when you walk back in

He can only see in black and white

His light world object is a nanny cam

Mike:

Mike is a master of disguise

He use to happily work for Tenna until Rook showed up and took over

He's trying to take down Rook for good

He was once best friends with spamton he even convinced Tenna to let him do tv commercials

Mike would contact spamton everyday to help him until Rook showed up which lead to Mike going into hiding

Tenna thinks Rook killed Mike because he hasn't see him in ages

Mike just wants to have his old happy life back

He help the party out a lot in the chapter

In the light world he's a microphone

Tenna:

The host of the tv world!

Tenna is very charismatic on stage and very fatherly off stage

He gets into arguments with toriel because he believes he raised kris better than her or asgore

His staff can't talk, it can only play sound effects

He tries to be as nice and kind as he can be to kris and the others but unfortunately, The evil Rook can control his mind as he hides behind the scenes

The main plot of chapter 3 is to seal the fountain and free tenna from rook

Tenna will often give the party free items as gifts just because he can

He casts Kris as the hero in a lot of shows throughout the chapter because he genuinely wants kris to be successful

He didn't want to kick spamton out of the tv world but Rook forced him to, making him look like the bad guy in spamton's eyes

In the light world he's a TV

Rook:

Rook hides behind his henchmen

He's a genuine scumbag

He uses his power over Tenna to get whatever he wants

Everyone's afraid to stand up to him because everyone who does "disappears"

And by disappears I mean gets put in a jail cell but Rook makes it sound like he kills them

Rook is the main antagonist of the chapter

He's only seen at the very end kinda like King

In the light world he's a remote

Perfect Rook:

After beating Rook he has one more trick up his sleeve

He transforms into Perfect Rook by merging with Tenna

Mike brings out a mech suit he's been saving for when he goes after Rook and gives it to Kris to help with the battle

You fight Perfect Rook in a Street fighter/ mortal kombat styled section with every attack feeling like a different anime reference

After you beat him, you free Tenna from his control once and for all and lock up Rook with King in the castle town jail

This is the final boss of the chapter

Oh my god this took like 40 minutes to write I'm so damn tried and i still have 4 more chapters of these to do.

SO. UM.. HEY

holy fuck man do i believe this icee sweepstakes easter egg has to be pointing towards something HUGE. let me go bit by bit. walk with me here

"it was dark and i coudnt find the swich" noelle (or someone) was in a dark world, and i couldn't find the light again?

"I saw ice e on the box and heWINKED AT ME!!!!" an inanimate object looked alive in the dark. noelle saw a darkner "only my sister beileves me" bro

"My sister burned the box in the grass to kill it" dess tried killing a darkner by destroying its counterpart in the light world

"she burned out ice-e eyes and he looked EVIL" scratches my head nervously

"azzy said took it and said we should berry the box" asriel suggested putting this thing to rest? or maybe just literally burying it?

"kris duged a whole in the ground in the greive yard and I was so scared a zombie woud come up" scratches my head even more nervously. i was so scared a zombie would come up. "they turned around with the box over there face and I screemed" kris wore this thing with burning eyes, to scare noelle. "dess hitted them and took it away and through it away and i think its going to come kill me" dess defeated this thing and ultimately discarded it. but noelle thinks it's still out there coming to kill her.

OKAY. so obviously we can't take this literally; there isnt a creepy icee's pizza box darkner coming to kill noelle even though that would be really funny

but what does this mean? if a lightner stumbled into a dark world and couldn't find their way out and saw a darkner, that would be scary. (technically that's what kris and susie did with stumbling into the dark world in ch. 1, but i feel like terror and confusion would also be a valid reaction for anyone) i can easily imagine them trying to destroy an object in the real world to destroy its darkner counterpart if it scared them. they burned its eyes out and it looked "evil". kris wore its burning eyes, and it scared noelle. they buried it, and were still scared a zombie would come up and come kill them.

ughhh. i feel like the conclusion to be drawn here is at my fingertips but my brain is so fried from thinking about nothing but deltarune for the past week i want to say this doesn't apply to the knight's identity, but it still could. if the knight is dess, it might be an allegory for something messed up happening to her body as they were trying to hide it. what i can definitively say about the allegory in the icee page here is that it's definitely kris-related, and the entire shadow mantle secret boss route is the culmination of this burning eyes theme, so it must be related to that too.

it could also have something to do with carol and asgore and all their weird suspicious shenanigans? i could believe it's some sort of allegory for them trying to cover up the true details of dess' disappearance in some way

IN-DEPTH CHARACTER ANALYSIS OF KRIS(MAS) DREEMURR

Hello! I've wanted to make this post for a WHILE now, since Kris is my favourite character ever, and I LOVE analyzing characters!!

Anyway before I start just remember that people consume media differently, and this is just what I've personally picked up on. You may interpret certain points I make differently to me, and that's ok! I'm just sharing MY analysis of Kris, at the end of the day, they're a character who has never spoken any dialogue that's visible to us, so their intentions behind certain things could be interpreted differently depending on who's consuming the media.

Kris will be EXCLUSIVELY referred to by they/them (they/them/themself specifically) pronouns throughout this post. If you refer to them as anything other than they/them while interacting with this post I'm gonna block you on the spot sorry.

ANALYSIS BELOW THE CUT BECAUSE IT'S LONG!!! TW there's probably some swearing I can't remember

By the way, I'm not including any screenshots because I. forgot to take them last time I played through Deltarune, but the next time that I do, I'm going to make like a revamped version of this post with screenshots. Sorry about that!!

Kris is their own, separate character from the player. This is a no-brainer if you've actually played through Deltarune and paid the slightest bit of attention to it. Kris is their own, separate character with a VERY distinct, interesting personality, who had a life before the events of Deltarune, and even still has control over some things that they say and do while in our control.

Kris isn't actually a quiet person. Kris, in reality, is an overdramatic, sassy, talkative person who often draws attention to themself by scaring people (especially Noelle), and causing scenes. They CONSTANTLY play mean spirited pranks on Noelle or pressure her into things (I'm NOT talking about Snowgrave, I'll get to thar later), like shaking the ferris wheel carriage despite Noelle being scared of heights, and telling her that ICE-E is real and eats kids. They still do this during the events for Deltarune, like if you go against Noelle's wishes and pet the cheese, Kris strokes it like a cat, and if you give Noelle a healing item called a Choco Diamond, she says something along the lines of 'Umm, it's ok, Kris, I'll share', and both of them get healed. We don't choose for Kris to force Noelle to share, that's a decision they make. As for drawing attention to themself, the first thing that comes to mind is they falling to the ground and sulking when they're too short and weak to play Queen's arcade machine, or them barking at Noelle when she offers them a dog treat. They're loud and impulsive, shown when they eat the pie at the end of chapter one, repeatedly kicking the robot in the basement when nothing happens originally before the Sneo fight, eating all of the chocolate Undyne gives them to give to Alphys if you interact with the box, and screaming that they're normal if you call Toriel after watching her conversation with Alphys at the start of chapter two. Speaking of which...

Kris seems to have identity issues. This is one of the things here that everyone in the fandom is kind of already aware of, but this is a full character analysis, so it's still important to mention. Kris is the only human in Hometown, but desperately wants to be perceived as normal. They scream it at Toriel like I mentioned earlier, they wore a headband with red horns on it when they were little to look more like a boss monster, and they seem actively disgusting or even frightened by other humans. They also seem to be living in their brother's shadow a bit, which may be why they like drawing attention to themself. Everything I've said about their personality seems to be a little on the negative side so far, but everyone in Hometown knows their name, and seems to quite like them, so why is this? Well...

Kris is charming, well-spoken, and funny. They're a prankster known for pulling mean-spirited pranks on people, but even still characters like Noelle look back at those things fondly, and everyone in Hometown seems to like spending time with Kris. Kris' flirting abilities are pretty obvious, and are used to win over loads of Darkners, not to mention their ability to formulate a compelling speech on the spot, as shown during the first Queen battle when toasting to her. They easily win people over, especially if they like a person, I mean, they became best friends with their former bully in a DAY! A DAY!!! People seem to find them just genuinely fun to hang around, probably due to them just being a funny, charming, somewhat balls of the walls kinda person.

Kris is NOT evil or malicious. This is one of the most important points I've wanted to make on this post. I've seen the theory that Kris is evil because they don't actively do anything to prevent Snowgrave from happening tossed around and I'm here to say that that is actually fucking stupid sorry. Normally I HATE being mean about people's theories because, like I said, everyone consumes media differently, but that one is just genuinely terrible. I'd say it's WAY more likely that as Noelle gets strong, out control over Kris becomes stronger. Normally, when we choose an option to make Kris say or do something, they ELABORATE on that, which is confirmed by how characters interact with them. We just can't see them speaking to give the illusion that they're a blank slate, under our full control. But, during Snowgrave, they just say EXACTLY what you tell them to say. If you tell them to say 'We're something else', they just say 'We're something else'. If you tell them to say 'Proceed', they just say 'Proceed'. Sure, you could put this towards them not caring, but after Berdly is frozen and you reunite with Ralsei and Susie, both of them say that Kris looks HURT. And later on, they REFUSE to go and see Noelle in her room. The refuse to THINK about it. They're not happy with what happened. They didn't want to go around freezing people. But the one thing that Really stood out to me, was during the Snowgrave Spamton Neo fight. Near the end, you have the option to call Ralsei and Susie for help, which prompts the flavour text; 'Kris called for Susie and Ralsei... But nobody came'. After that, you have to call Noelle for help to finish the battle, which prompts the dialogue; 'You called for Noelle'. Spamton states that Kris could barely whisper her name. They're trying to stop you from calling for her. Those aren't their words. I think that kind of confirms that they didn't want Snowgrave to happen. Kris is just a funny teenager with identity issues, they're not evil. Sorry evil Kris fans.

Kris probably isn't the Roaring Knight. They're A knight, but not THE knight. So far, they don't REALLY have any motivation for opening the first two fountains that I'm aware of, and I doubt they knew they could open a fountain until Queen's speech at the end of Chapter 2. At the end of Chapter 2, however, they do seem to have a motivation to open a fountain. They (presumably) slash Toriel's tyres to stop her from leaving the house to go and get flour. They want her to see the Dark World. And if you choose the option to talk to Undyne about the Dark World, Kris explains it to her in FULL DETAIL, but she brushes it off as a joke. Toriel finding her tyres slashed leads her to call the guards, and Kris leaves the door of the house wide open. They want Undyne to see the Dark World, I don't know WHY, but they do for some reason. But I REALLY doubt they're the Roaring Knight, they just don't have the motivation, and if it is them, it would be really weird for Toby to reveal that so early. I really doubt that kid wants to bring on the end of the world.

That's all I have for now!! Expect a more fleshed out version of this next time I play Deltarune with screenshots and such, though I may wait until chapter 3 and 4 come out! Thanks for reading!

isn't it interesting how gaster and the holidays have some habit of discovering issues with the world and falling into glitches and easter-eggs and they both reference real world religion/traditions, gaster referencing 666 and the holidays referencing christmas? Doesn't it make sense for the game to constantly try and get rid of the holidays by sending them out of bounds and throwing them into the depths? The game is fiction, but this real world holiday has, just like the player, wormed itself into the fictional reality, and the fiction is trying to completely eradicate the holidays because christmas doesn't belong in this world, christianity doesn't exist in deltarune, but Christmas has still made its way in through sheer pervasiveness ICE-E, too, is pervasive. In all aspects of Home-town. We NEVER see fictional characters become darkners, but ICE-E has a chance to, ICE-E is both a real mascot and a series of ever-present items. Noelle is scared of both ICE-E and Santa Claus. ICE-E is the Santa of the Light-World, Santa is the Santa of our world. ICE-E is real. So Real that he becomes essential to any fiction that wishes to immerse the lightners. So real he becomes fiction. He becomes omnipresent.

We’ve seen it before, but im appreciating it now- I LOVE GETTING INTO THE MIND OF FLOWEY it seems like the surface segments are from the perspective of Flowey, and past ones are from Wingdings’? as in, theyre the only ones we get internal dialogue from?

I love hearing both of their thought processes either way.I love seeing their theory minds being put to work like- im going to sound like them when Deltarunes chapters come out- over analyzing everything and wondering how I can approach certain characters in different ways. Flowey is so me last page update when he learns about the River Person cause thats my live reaction if/when I find something new out about Undertale like WAIT WHAT????

I thought I knew everything-

But Floweys right- it doesnt seem too hard to get into Sans n Papyrus’ house/get them to invite you over. Their house seems like the type to just be “hang out headquarters” where Alphys or Undyne or anyone vaguely related to them would just waltz right in not even knocking and theyd go “sup” “HI!”

I also wonder how/if the chapters title has anything to do with Floweys contributions, cause I remember it being said that from now on itll switch back and forth from present to the past in the same chapters. The Scientific Method… Like trial and error, so ofc Wingdings trying to figure out what the hell is going on with the tapes from the future, but also Floweys trial and error in seeing what makes Papyrus tick? perhaps? Just a theory on that one…

I love the dialogue more each time idk how ya do it sunsestart, everything about it is so!!!!!!!! and so!!!!!!!!!!! I am absolutely jumping for joy at more updates, and despite art school making it slow down a tad, its ALWAYS worth the wait, and never worth risking physical or mental health!

My head is a mess I'll try to keep this coherent

1. Proud of myself for actually finishing the chapter, I get scared easily and knew the games would get more unsettling at some point but I didn't expect it to be so early. I had to quit the game when the ICE-E thing happened (seriously what was up with that), but the design of the roaring knight is so disturbing it might be the most afraid I've been so far. And the bunker is the one place in the game I actively avoid going to, so having to go there so early is awful-awful for me. (Kudos to the people who theorized it was a dark world)

2. The sudden appearance of the Roaring Knight disproves a lot of my favorite theories, but what's interesting is how it seems to be 1: a darkner capable of existing in the light world 2: the one turning the bosses against us. It also takes credit for the creation of fountains which is a very important information that brings a lot of questions about the other fountains. It also seems to be aware of and actively working against the prophecy, but also doesn't want to face the heroes directly for some reason?

(but also just what the fuck. It's terrifying powerful and uncanny and God I do not want to go in the bunker Toby I'm begging pleas-)

3. A pinecone, an officers badge, and the Deltarune. I don't remember the bunker related lore but iirc it's old. So, again, those symbols must be associated with the prophecy (that is if the badge really DOES represent Undyne). The pine tree could be related to a forest, the Holidays, or maybe another character? The Deltarune symbol could be for the Dreemurr, hence why it was going after Toriel, but I think I'm getting ahead of myself there. It could also represent the heroes/the prophecy.

Announcement: SOCIAL MEDIA AND FANDOM HIATUS

I've been active on here and X/Twitter for a few months now, interacting with the Deltarune fandom, particularly the Spamton sub-fandom. This has brought me into a world I never dreamed of before, the sense of being part of a community.

Never in my entire life have I felt part of any community. During this time period, I've made more friends than I have in over a decade. I was so wary of meeting new people and letting them into my life, but now I don't feel as scared anymore. I even discovered what it feels like to fall in love with someone real.

That said, I am exhausted. I've emotionally and mentally exhausted myself trying to be there for so many people, to be the person I failed to be ten years ago when everyone I knew dropped me into a dumpster and insisted, "You don't know how to be human."

I've reached my limit. I can't do this anymore. People are assuming too much of me.

Before opening myself up to this fandom, I never wanted to closely associate with anyone who didn't have a single original piece of work tied to their name. I considered anything fandom-related a total waste of time, and I never saw any value in such communities... Until I finally let myself become part of one. My childhood friend recommended I start being more open by drawing my favorite character, Spamton.

I took his advice... Obviously. I felt like, for the first time, I was healing...

But these new connections brought new problems I'm still not used to handling. I had isolated myself for so long, consistently keeping in contact with only three people for almost a decade since all the people in my past friendship group betrayed me. I realized a fatal flaw in my character, and it's that I keep trying to be strong for so many people that I've become neglectful of myself...

I genuinely... Have no idea who I am anymore. I've lost touch with myself since I got so excited about being part of this community. I focused so much only on being there for my new friends that I had to stop and think, "Wait... Does anyone actually know me outside of all this...?"

Does anyone know who I am... Outside this fandom? Do they care?

I developed acute mono/autophobia, and it took me until recently to discover why: because this happiness is so overwhelmingly beautiful to me that the thought of losing it all is driving me to deeper madness. This thought, of course, is as irrational as any phobia is... And I had to ask myself, "Did I let myself become too open and vulnerable? Were the walls I had before preferable to this?"

And so... I am retreating to those walls for now. I am going on a hiatus. I want to focus on my personal projects that are entirely my ideas and settings, and I am uncomfortable sharing 99% of them except among trusted friends. I have an original novel I already finished about 25% of the first draft of, and I took a pause on it because of my involvement in this fandom. It's time I stop and allow myself to reconnect with myself... To the things that matter most to me.

I am not leaving—absolutely not—but I am broken. I realized that despite all the times I've been strong for other people, I can't count on anyone to be there for me at my absolute lowest. I've been overexerting myself to be strong for others so much that I'm doing it at my own expense, and I feel like I'm sinking into a tar pit of agony.

This little trash puppet needs to feel the comfort of er... my trash. I'm sorry. I will be gone for at least a week. I'm still available to friends on Discord, but that's the only place I'll be.

I'm overloaded and overused. I'm sorry... I have about half a dozen commissions to finish anyway.

Another Deltarune Dream for the pile...

I've been blessed... with one of those... The DR related nightmare And, I need to talk about it before it all slips away

I call it the DELTARUNE: Continuity (small ch 3 n 4 spoilers)

So, in this nightmare… I was in Ch 2, trying to get Spamton Neo, but instead of getting the Empty Disk from the basement, you went back to the alleyway you found Spamton, you open his garbage bin home, and inside there's piles of trash

Every time you Interact you remove a garbage bag, until there's that little item white star shine, at which point you get the empty disk… But you can keep going. Removing trash. At which point, after a while, there's a yellow item star.

If you grab it… a really fucking weird sound plays, I could not remember what it sounded like, but I recall it being anxiety inducing.

If you went to your key items after grabbing that item… welcome to hell.

The entire screen goes black, and the music stops, with the only things on screen being the heart, and the items DELTA RUNE DELTA CONTINUITY. (And for some reason the first Rune and the second Delta were highlighted in yellow)

If you exited from the menu, you were now stuck in this blue rectangular platform, and the background was a navy blue with the fucking CatPettz cat animation in different size going to the left at fucking light speed.

On the platform there was also Noelle, with her scared sprite, and pink and yellow eyes. And our good boy Spamton himseeeelf. Interacting with either of them made, nothing happen.

If you went into the menu again, the UI now looked like the platform you were standing on, light blue with a light yellow border. And the key items are talked about were still there. Also, forgot to mention, but Susie and Ralsei were still following Kris up to this point.

If you got close to Noelle, and used the CONTINUITY key item. The screen went black. And a green UT Styled Battle button with the words CONTINUITY with a green soul selecting it. Bellow that, the four UT battle buttons (fight act item and mercy) appeared, all in Green. Like the CONTINUITY button was the enemy.

I choose Green. Which made the screen go black again, and text to appear which said...

"Is this the fate you want?" I selected No. And went back to the UT styled battle. I selected Item and text appeared saying "I won't use items on it" Then I just used Fight.

And IMMEDIATELY I got transported to this fucking, nightmare reality, very similar to Yummi Nikki, where Kris, and Kris alone, was standing on top of some cloud which i think was made up of collages of like, magazines and shit. Meanwhile the background was only what I could describe as, the Marty red sky from Lisa the first, but purple, and now with fucking IMAGE_FRIEND

Next to Kris was a glitchy as fuck save point. Dream me didn't interact with it. I went down, and there was Spamton again, but in a different art style, also looking like something out of Yummi Nikki

Going up, there was a Water Cooler enemy, but extremely bitcrushed, like if you took the normal Water Cooler sprite and set it to 50% on Aseprite. It saw Kris charged forward, started a battle, the theme was regular Vapor Buster.

The Acts were ActNice, ActCool, and just Act (which required Susie, which wasn't in the party. But somehow was still usable since it was white??) For some reason, Kris was at 15 HP. And also for some reason, they had a lighter blue bar under their HP??? Prob the Lisa brainrot taking over In the items there were four items

3 Guards, which the description said - Protect, use Q or E to adjust radius (????????) And 1 SPAMTONAID, which the description said - SPAMTON WILL HELP AND AID AND SOON IT'LL BE OKAY. The description also had the entire Spamton overworld sprite right next to it

I used a Guard, and a 3 yellow bubbles, which seemed to have been using sprites from stock photos, like Omega Flowey, appeared behind Kris, and like the description said, I could hold Q or E to make them bigger or smaller

The Water Cooler attacks and the attack was the same as the regular Water Cooler enemy, only this the bullets were blue. But they still dealt damage even if you weren't moving. I died. Then

Text in uppercase said: WOULD YOU LIKE TO TRY AGAIN

I hit yes, and the battle restarted with me now with ONE HP. I used another Guard, and somehow was able to survive the attack, I used BeCool on one of the three Water Coolers. Then I died the very next attack. Now the text said "THIS IS YOUR LAST GUARD. IF YOU DIE AGAIN, YOU WILL NOT BE ASKED"

I tried again, this time coming back into battle with full HP I used a guard, survived the attack….

Then I woke up. Then I started writing this.

I'll maybe maybe some sprites on what some of the things look like

Some deltarune theories before chapters 3 & 4 release.

1. Sepia flashbacks

The opening cutscene of undertale is a sepia flashback that's assumed to be about the player's character - a human that fell into the underground. In deltarune, similar cutscenes are used for the legend, and the roaring (and also for the most recent trailer, which somewhat debunks this theory).

If the cutscenes are a flashback, as they were in undertale, there should have been a prior trio of protagonists, who I would guess are an unknown darkner as the prince from the dark, Asriel as the monster, and Dess as the human (we haven't seen Dess or C. Holiday in game, which could be setup for a reveal that they are humans). This would also explain some of the parallels between characters such as Dess and Kris both being associated with a musical instrument (Guitar and Piano), and a bunch of other parallels between the Holiday and Dreemurr families. If this is the case, it's also possible that Kris' fate is to go missing at the end of the game in the same way that Dess did.

There's also some connections between the monsters of each party - Asriel has the 'how to draw dragons' book, while Susie is described as a dragon by the description of the Mane Ax ('Beginner's ax forged from the mane of a dragon whelp.'), assuming that the mane described is a dark world equivalent of her hair.

If there are two parties of characters, and there are supposed to be certain roles within each party and their darkworlds, there is also a potential for this to explain the deltarune element pairs system: one parties' 'Thunder' is the other parties' 'Light', similar to how in Homestuck's Sburb worlds, prototyping causes the world to change to reflect the players of the game.

Given Susie's ability to alter the story, and the vagueness behind the title 'monster' within the setting, I wonder if Susie was intended to be the party's monster. Kris was almost paired with Noelle at the start of the game.

2.Kris' room

Kris' side of the room being empty has always been assumed to be a judgement of Kris' character; no achievements, few luxuries, just a bed and a cage. It's compelling to believe that Kris' motive for acting out is due to a silent resentment for being mistreated, but it doesn't fit in game scenes where any of the characters actually talk about them, and there are scenes in the game when we see a room full of objects get mostly emptied out: after sealing a dark fountain. I think that the Dreemurr household has previously held a dark world, and Kris' belongings were moved to a pure dark fountain in order to allow the darkners to continue to exist after the fountain was closed.

3. Titans exist in the light world

If we assume that hometown/ the light world is what is 'past the dark' Spamton's dialogue suggests that being 'big' would allow him to enter the light world.

'SO BIG WE'LL STAND UP TALL AND SEE PAST THE DARK' - Spamton Neo

This correlates with the title of 'titans' used to describe the threat of the roaring - darkners given a form which will threaten both the light and dark worlds, emblematic of fiction bleeding into reality.

'The TITANS will take form from the FOUNTAINS' - The roaring cutscene.

There are some potential candidates for titans from what we've already seen - ICE-E, having existed in a way that could scare Noelle, and Ralsei being able to traverse between dark worlds, could both be considered titans.

4. The seven human souls' traits

In undertale, according to the golf minigame, each human soul corresponds with a trait. These traits, in addition to the souls and their undertale iconography and equipment, may appear as a theme for each chapter.

Red (Chara) - Is pictured on the official fangamer Devil tarot card, uses Knives. In deltarune, this parallels the Devilsknife. Additionally, Jevil's quote inviting the party to play a 'SIMPLE NUMBERS GAME' parallels Chara's role in Undertale, claiming to be a manifestation of the player's desire to make numbers bigger, such as when grinding for exp:

"Every time a number increases, that feeling...

That's me."

Yellow(Justice) - Within Undertale's neutral route flowey fight, each soul has an attack and a method of healing the player. Yellow's method of attacking is a gun (relates to the big shot mechanic & the Spamton Neo's hand cannon), and healing is a 4 leaf clover, something typically assumed to be lucky. In contrast, Spamton's story relates to his luck with customers, with the other addisons concluding that Spamton was 'Like the rest of us. Just… a little unlucky.'

Spamton's luck caused a sense of unease with the addisons, who believed that Spamton didn't deserve his luck. That it was unjust

"What? What did he do? Why did HE deserve this?"

It could also be anecdotal, but the word 'just' shows up a lot in Spamton's quotes, which could be wordplay on Spamton considering himself to be just, i.e justified in the deals he made, or it could be a coincidence due to the English language.

Following these comparisons, future chapters should contain a secret boss that relates in some way relates to the remaining souls.

Potential parallels include

Green (kindness) - wielded a pan, and attacked with fire or healed by cooking eggs. This may manifest in something that relates to Toriel's stove, a cooking show, fire metaphors such as a 'burning desire' or themes involving food items.

Purple (perseverance) - attacks using books and words flying out of the books. This could relate to a holy book in hometown church, or a book themed character. Gerson is known for his book 'Lord of the hammer', and Father Alvin mentions that they received condolences from fans until recently, suggesting that the book may be becoming forgotten, something which aligns with prior secret bosses. Father Alvin also bids farewell to Kris in chapter 1 by saying 'may you find the words you seek'.

Blue (integrity) - attacks with a ballet shoe and stars, which turn into music notes to heal the player. The connection to music immediately makes me think of the song from the sea, possibly implicating onion in this chapter. Stars relate to the dark/star element pairing that Spamton mentioned.

Orange (bravery) - attacks using a glove, heals using a glove. The 'tough glove' item that corresponds with this soul in Undertale sounds like a pun on 'tough love'. Maybe Asgore or Susie's home situation will be addressed in this chapter. 

Cyan (patience) -Attacks using a toy knife, heals using a bandage. The hospital contains bandages, and relates to Noelle's want to heal her father, and the hospital and classroom both contain toys, making both potential candidates for a connection to a secret boss, I assume that by this point in the story there may be multiple smaller dark fountains opened per chapter, containing optional side content, or connecting to the chapter's main dark world in a similar way to how Castle town is treated in chapters 1 and 2, consisting of one or two dark world rooms that may connect areas in the light world, or which allow the player to enter and exit the dark worlds when they are ready to face the optional side content. Perhaps the shadow mantle's role is to allow the party to exit the dark world early for this reason, using the shadow crystal's ability to see through the darkness in order to move back into the light world.

i don't remember actually . see i usually get into something for like 8months-1year tops and then move on. i guess the only media i've consistently returned to since i first enjoyed it is undertale+deltarune.... i got into it in 2021 and have had relapses ever since. also DELTARUNE 3+4 SOON.
