I think I might have a new subgenre I might be plotting out: DEMONPUNK NOIR. The idea is that the roles are flipped. Where Demonism is the way the world works and anything Divine is treated with utter anathema. Where The Devil is real, and so are everyone’s personal demons (helpful or hindrance depends on them).

In the coastal city of Dark Waters in an undisclosed part of the Infernal States Of America, a private investigator named Maria Hollow, a woman haunted by her time as a type of soldier for the Infernal Infantry nicknamed “Demon Dogs”, is hired to investigate the murder of a socialite named Blaine Demonica. A woman notorious for running with interesting crowds, being engaged to the son of the mayor of the city, and Maria’s ex-girlfriend (though remaining as Friends With Benefits).

As Maria investigates Blaine’s death, she finds many insidious things going on. Rumors of a new Church with heretical practices. A man with golden blonde hair who always seems one step ahead of her. And a series of sigils and symbols that remind her of service to the throne, of the war that broke her, and of the incident which left her forever marked as a living phantom.

I don’t have a title for it yet, nor have I decided whether to write a novel or a comic. But the groundwork’s there. I just need to get through what I have already scheduled.

help, i don’t know anything about accent pricing. i have a copy of frankenclaw by demonpunk, about a year ago right before i disappeared from fr for a bit bc i was in the hospital i was trying to sell it and people said it was worth about 2k gems because accents like that are highly sought & not often accepted anymore, the only other posts in the forums i’m seeing are from like 2 years ago of someone trying to sell theirs for 2.5k.
