She put her head down on the desk, supported by her arms, and looked at him. Her exam already finished, and his face more interesting than checking whether her answers were right or if she had missed any questions.

She drifted off to sleep in the hour that required her to sit there.

He put his face in his hands and hoped nobody saw the way he noticed her eyes close and the way he smiled.

He didn't know what he was writing anymore. He wanted to fall asleep looking at her face too. He scribbled down all the answers he knew and copied the rest.

He put his head down and looked at her as she breathed slowly. He wanted to pat her head, but she was sitting far away.

She may have fallen first, and it had become a second nature for her to love.

He may have fallen harder, and it felt like death every moment he couldn't marry her.
