Happy Winter! We heard your calls for a fanfic/writing prompt month: so, welcome to Dis(m)ember, the server's first-ever prompt event! 

The Dis(m)ember Participant role is now available in the Discord's Roles & Channel list! You will be pinged when there's a new prompt to write about. 

You may write about any of rosesrot's games and/or stories! These will all count as a part of Dis(m)ember.

RULES

Since this is a casual event, there aren't any official rules: only your creativity! The only true "rule" is that your story must relate to the prompt in some way, shape, or form.

You are free to write sexually explicit NSFW content, but please keep in mind that this won’t be acknowledged as part of Dis(m)ember in an official capacity!

Of course, you are more than welcome to write for past prompts/prompts that you have missed or weren't able to complete in time! 

OCs are allowed as long as the story still contains at least one rosesrot character!

WHERE DO I UPLOAD?

We recommend uploading your stories to AO3! Your story will be collected in an AO3 collection page: “A Rotten Dis(m)ember - 2024" to commemorate all of you who participated in this event. 

If you need an AO3 invite, I currently have 4 invites available so DM me directly to claim one!

Though not required, feel free to share your works in the Discord for fellow fans to see!

REWARDS

Entries will be raffled to win a Personal Letter from a Character of Choice! Each submission will count as one entry into the raffle, so essentially the more you submit the higher your chances!

i'm still stuck on the purgatories so here's a list of purgatory 2 moments simply off the top of my head that deserve to be remembered:

aimsey ducking all of axolotl team alone in a cave with literally half a heart

goose gang fucking descending on the raccoon base and absolutely wrecking shop

ethan crankgameplays clutching up for team panda during the capture the flag game by being the only one hanging out in the center and periodically checking the chests, earning them a shitton of flags and clutching multiple rounds

crow team's egg taking 0 damage

pac doxxing goose gang's egg in the last second

shelby shubble as the last member of her team online writing a letter to aimsey and sharing the world's most devastating ten minutes before her team was eliminated with one of the eye creatures (coco? i forgot lol)

badboyhalo absolutely fucking DEMOLISHING the battleship event on like 2 hours of sleep and a dream

wuant(?) stealing a tv from the battleship event and then playing portuguese ice age on it for the crows lmfao

tubbo djing for his team while waiting for the time for a goose gambit

theguill CRASHING THROUGH THE FUCKING CEILING of the raccoon team's hidey hole like the fucking kool aid man in a last effort to save his team and 4v1 or 5v1 ing team raccoon; he lost but that was such an epic fucking moment

theguill and etoiles pvping and each hyping the other's skills the entire time

seapeekay escaping cellbit and baghera and then stealing their boats and rocketing past to tease them about it; that shit was iconic

kenny going mad with power collecting sand on literally day 1

I don’t really mind Dev losing Peri but I really wish they gave the two a little closure at the end there. Like just a sentence or two goodbye when Peri wasn’t in the middle of dying.

I feel like if they do get to make a season 2 Dev’s storyline will continue and maybe Peri will come back into his life in a different way. Obviously Dev having a fairy doesn’t really work because, as was basically said in the episode, wishes can’t fix what’s wrong in Dev’s life. But you know what maybe could? An older brother figure. Maybe Peri appearing to Dev in human form to help him work through his problems without the notion of ‘you can have everything you can wish for but nothing you want’ hanging over them. Peri obviously very much cared about Dev but, because of certain traumas relating to his father, Dev never realised that until it was too late. So maybe if approached from a different angle Peri could really help Dev and Dev could finally believe someone would care about him.
