Shelby literally rewrites history, so much so that the Crystal Cliffs and Grimlands still live in s2. Count Fwhip and Grand Wizard Gem have mastered transformation and now live as "Familars" in the Evermoore. Tortiose is Shelby's real familar, but everyone assumes Shelby's just a strong witch with three. Fwhip goes by "Count" in his "familar" form, while Shelby lies and tells everyone that her familar-cat is named Gem because of her eyes, not because of the Sun Princess.

Fwhip's form is a bat, while Gem's is a calico cat with more orange and white than browns and black.

The familars can talk but they only do so when theyre alone w Shelby.

Witches & Wizards get along after the history-fix, and theres two rumours of 1) A time travelling witch who lived between the Crystal Cliffs and the Grimlands, and 2) That the timetravelling witch was Grand Wizard Grim's apprentice (half-truth)

Gnomes can be seen every now again, after being found 500 years post s1 timeline. The Overgrown became GlimmerGrove and was never cursed.

Shelby is covinced Kat will choose Joey now that she isnt cursed.

The Sculkby arc happens different (will be in teal when I get there)

Tortiose's vc will be Grian in the sense that he's like Count & Gem, a human who can transform into an animal. (Tortiose doesnt look like Grian, its just the voice claim in this au)

s1 Joel is s2 Joel. They are the same person, Joel knows who Shelby is, who "Count" is, and the truth of Gem The Calico. Not his secrets to tell though.

Shelby wears the Xornoth Crystal, which begins to absorb the magic of sculk – no one realizes before its too late for Shelby. When She's corrupted, its like a haze for her. He doesnt remember what he does under the corruption, but everyone else does. The arc is longer, and still ended by Sausage stopping them but he's helped by Count and Gem The Calico. They tell him everything from Shelby rewriting history to the crystal corrupting them.

The overall timeline for this au is as so:

s2 takes place over 4 years. One of these years, Shelby goes missing and history is literally changed. The year after is when Shelby's corrupted (He's corrupted in December of the first year, Back To December (Taylors Version) is the song for Nature Wives (s2) in this au for multiple reasons that Ill explain in pink)

The last two years are with Shelby fixing themself and healing from corruption – this also leads to Nature Wives going on their coffee date. Rather than 10 years post s2, wcsmp would take place 6 years later:). Shelby's 18 at the start of this au, and 22 by the end!!

Back To December TV:

The Princess Tea Party takes place mid-december and Shelby's corrupted earlier that month. She's still corrupt by the time of the party, and it still leads to the canon "fight" between her and Katherine. at this time, Shelby still has half of his mind intact and thats why hes so confused and doesnt know what to do anymore. When Katherine offers help, its Sculked-Xornoth who leaks out and into Shelby's voice about "You cant even help yourself!"

Fast forward to Late December of the next year. Shelby's no longer corrupted and his hair is white now. They stand at the Glimmer Grove castle after a year of avoidance and one-sided hatred from them. (Both have been avoiding each other, Shelby's onesided hatred was unknown to Kat but known to them)

January of the third year is when they go on their coffee date.

While trying to learn game developmeny, my technique today was to work until I made progress or figured something out and then I could reward myself by playing Multiversus (because it is free) and going until I lose a match. If I lose, I have to go back to my programming.

This did inspire me to improve at playing the game because I didn't want to go back to work and it inspired me to improve my work because I wanted to return to the game. Unfortunately for me, my video game skills are just as bad on both sides of the project. I always got back to work pretty fast and stayed there for a while.

Rockstar may be a relatively trusted game company with a highly anticipated game, but theres a catch---

EVERYONE in the gaming developmeny sphere is watching and waiting to see how well it does with any new price. They will be the new benchmark for other companies that they can hike the price this season if GTA6 does well, whether or not its $100 specifically. GTA6 is just THAT anticipated and expected for the community!

Please, do not let Rockstar push everyone to hike the price further because GTA6 came out, don't buy it at release!

Can I ask a question about past ex. So Yoki (and Ishawuu to a lesser extent if I recall) speak a rather archaic form of pastex creole. Do they pick up parts of contemporary speech or grammar?

Yeah !! They both do it in different ways tho. Both their first languages are English, and they also know Spanish fluently + snippets of a few others, but Ishawuu speaks in a much more modern way than Yoki.

(Edit: I have a tl;dr at the end if any1 wants to know but doesnt want to read it all)

Ishawuu has a really weird form of speaking tho- she was sorta there for the whole development of the language (Her bug malfunctioned a bit after the bombs, so as doctors were working on fixing her she heard it change from spanish to the creole over time. Then when she was out of the hospital she picked it up more from other ppl). Even tho she speaks it fluently, she still mixes between old and new slang/speech patterns/inflection/etc. It's understandable, just like,,, a bit weird at times for ppl.

A lot of them probably just assume shes just from some weird settlement that has a suuper different dialect. Largely different dialects are rlly common bcs even after pastex creole was commonplace, the geography made it easy for them to diverge- most ppl live on/near the coasts, so since The Andes are Right There, the mountains prohibit easy movement.

Actually, thats a major reason South America has so many isolate languages!! If you look up SA isolate languages, the majority of them are from countries that The Andes run through. That, combined with the fact that its harder to travel north or south opposed to east or west (Thats a major reason NA and SA native technology developmeny differ so much/are much more cebtralized in comparison to eurasia or africa- both those places are Really Wide, but since the climate and temperature stays very similar horizontally, they could travel and spread knowledge. The Americas are more vertical, so the more you went north or south the more the climage would change to things you're not accustomed to/have clothes for)

Im getting super off topic. Anyway, as for Yoki, he speaks it like. just really weirdly. He WASN'T there for its development, he was trapped under debris. He might've understood it better within its first hundred or so years while it was still somewhat similar to Spanish, but he was only found abt 150-200 years after lol.

When he first came out he studied it a lot to speak/understand it, but he kinda stopped trying to sound perfect w/ all the different dialects and the chanhes over time. He HAS been around for ~200 years with the language, so he 100% Understands it, but speaking it is like,,,, He COULD speak it with better and much more modern grammer and words, but its wayyy harder to do that if he can still be understood with the way he speaks.

I stylize it as middle english (To my very poor understand of it, at least) since theres no other way to rlly show how hes speaking, but really hes likee. Mixing a bit of spanish grammer + very old pastex creole on a way that has the least effort on his part while still being understood by other ppl.

tl;dr- Ishawuu was there for the language development, so while she speaks pretty well and modern, she sometimes has a little of some older parts mixed in

Yoki only started learning it later and hes also really lazy, so he willingly soeaks very archaicly bcs its a hassle to try and use perfect grammer when it chabhes so much over time and through dialects.

Finally returning to Night City with a new Corpo V. Last two playthroughs I kept the character development fairly minimal, but this time around I'm going to see how a more drastic character developmeny plays out. Even though I know the endpoint for them, It'll be fun to see how to journey turns out. Maybe even surprise myself and end up in at a completely different destination than intended.

Planning to Intermittently drop some photoshoot and character exposition posts here and there for the new V once I settle on a name.

Interested in seeing the experience of other players with Vs who had significant character development!
