There's 3 glitches making this work:
Perpetual motion: DF simulates fluids but not to the extent that you get friction, so If you hook two water wheels onto a pump and run some mechanisms over the top, you can get a system that is a self-powering water wheel with surplus power, the water reactor. (I've used these be for to power machinery inside a fortress without the potential security risks that exterior water wheels and windmills pose)
Diagonal Pressure fluids (water and magma) will fill upwards in Dwarf Fortress even if channeled away from its source by a horizontal pipe. However all pressure can be cancelled by having the fluid flow through a section along a diagonal. Fluids will follow normal flow so fill up to 7/7 but can't fill higher to the next z-level.
Impulse ramps If you've ever played with the minecart system in the game you will probably know what in impulse ramp is. Impulse ramps exploit how minecart velocity is calculated by "tricking" the game into treating a forward-moving minecart as if it falling down a slope. This is due to way that velocity is modified for curved tracks on a slope, with acceleration being applied to the cart along the "away-facing" line of the track. This can also cause minecarts to teleport.

Jade Dragon’s Iron-Clad Camellias [2]
Dan Feng x Reader
Tumblr media
[ao3] or #df-camellia on my profile! [work masterlist]
Tumblr media
Gaining recognition wasn’t something which needed any planning. And although you were great at setting reasonable goals, it seemed as though winds blew in your favour without your push.
The Cloud Splendor Forge was a name made by whim with lack of any forethought, yet the immortals still sang its praises, emphasising the dutifulness behind each weapon—and the mastery behind the meanings.
But there was no meaning, same as there was no need for it to have one. Vidyadhara and alike—Foxians and the Homo Celestinae all spun tales of their own.
It was too easy in fact.
The weapons were distributed quickly, grabbed and sought after as bread when the sun rose, the heat and smell of metal akin to the fragrance of meal for an empty stomach. The forger and the baker both shared a stove, but for vastly different reasons. The baker wanted to feed—you wished to make something bleed.
Due to culture born from war and hope, it wasn’t uncommon for people to appreciate weapons. They paid much attention to not only usability, but the detail as well.
Not all attention to detail was good—you’ve long realised, soon after someone began to nitpick them. And this wasn’t the first time.
Stood behind the counter of the inside of your forge, you moved a damp rag over it, pretending to try and clean away the black smears and the tar. It was a humble place, minimal amount of equipment and decor, spare for a flower which wilted from the heat radiating.
Further down was a stove and the tools, chisels and hammers, and the cold anvil which was unused yet.
It was so early after all.
He stood right near the entrance, glancing around, and you wished to pretend he wasn’t there. As long as you were ignorant, you could make him go away—sometimes wishes do come true.
The Vidyadhara cleared his throat expectantly.
But wishes take a while to work, and you finally lifted your face, shoving all the irritation down to the bottom of your stomach, lest there shows a vulnerability he’d be able to exploit like the snake that he was.
Annoyance ignited itself in your cortex already, perhaps at the idea that this preened lizard expected to be addressed. But you pretended everyday, and you could pretend for a while more. ”What may I help you with?”
Dan Feng’s piercing eyes seemed to glow by default in such a dark setting, and he finally stepped closer to the counter. “One assumes you know why one has come?”
This has happened before, three times precisely, where the pampered reptile would show up in all his might, and demand to meet the smith. It was engraved in your memory from the headache it caused each time, having to listen to his prolonged speeches about grandiose of his ideas; how just giving Yingxing the request through you would never be able to encompass his vision. A mortal can’t comprehend his ideas and expectations after all, you merely were an assistant. Dan Feng insisted-no, demanded to meet the craftsman.
”I have an idea why, but I fear the master remains in what he has said before.” you started, straightening to at least appear as though you paid him mind. To you, there was nothing grande before you, and you did not give a damn about his hereditary honorifics.
Glory is what you make—with both your hands.
Dan Feng sighed, pinching the ridge of his nose. He did not belong here, in his pristine and straightened clothes, and his untied hair. He was not ready nor made for work, and the contrast of his person to the comfort of your forge was sickening.
“Which would be?”
”Master Yingxing, as I’ve said, needs solitude to grow grand ideas. His words, not mine,” you began, keeping the tone as light as you could; grasping at the straws of your patience. “For that reason he only is present to deliver or make his craft. I only converse with him through written messages.”
You hoped that by emphasising the unapproachability of Yingxing, people would stop trying to meet him. Because frankly, you did not wish for people to know about your true identity, and you had all the reasons not to.
Only a madman would feel fine with that, if they were in your predicament at least.
Most immortals accepted your firm no. There was a sense of mystery and fantasy surrounding Yingxing, and the people of Xianzhou favoured romanticism over a popped bubble of delusion. And so, to maintain their image of the forger as someone cryptic, their efforts usually relented.
Most never means all however, and there would always be a prick who needed the validation of obtaining the unmovable.
”One sees no reason for such evasion,” He waved his hand, dismissing all your reasoning just as he did previously. It seemed the irritation finally got the best of him, as he dropped honorifics, and stopped attempting to pretend that you were on his level.
Dan Feng regarded you for a moment, and then the forge. Everything was ready to create, but there was no artist to do it. “Does he come today, then?”
”I wasn’t informed of that, where does the assumption come from?”
”Well,” The Vidyadhara gestured towards the other end of the forge leisurely and meticulously, as though he planned to point it out. “Do smiths not work when their tolls are ready?”
It was a miscalculation on your part. You really had to make sure to lock the forge next time, not that it mattered. Immortals usually sent their servants to order and retrieve weapons, and so it didn’t make a difference, as the pets of the Xianzhou folk never paid much mind. Such little humans usually soaked in their master's praises, never learning or knowing enough to find your business suspicious. Maybe it was blissful ignorance.
Dan Feng was truly the only one who insisted on proximity.
”What you see is correct, but that is the procedure. If the master comes, the forge must be ready, and given his solitude, I don’t know when to expect his grace.” You mustered, with as much courage as you could—despite coming up with this excuse on the spot. “I am sorry for the inconvenience, but his mind remains unchanged.”
”Fine, then. Have you told him that the one who seeks an audience with him is me?” The man began once more, his voice gaining an air of demand to it. He kept his hands to himself, not even willing to lay one on the deeply scarred wooden counter yet. “I am a High Elder, does your master not feel shame?”
It was hard to keep a cool shell when inside fires raged, and the facade slipped, for only a short moment. But it was unchangeable. “Have you considered that the master does not care?”
Dan Feng’s piercing and sharp eyes narrowed, and he finally leaned forward. “Excuse me?”
”Per your request I’ve left master the note about your wishes. Both to create the weapon and demand for the audience, but also of your status. That was the single demand that the master has not addressed with me.”
The irritation on his face was subtle, but the satisfaction of it was short lived. You forced your facial muscles into a state of tranquility, and the early bird gets prey. You had to act as though you had his best interest in mind.
“I insist, so that you don’t waste your time, to discuss the demands for the weapon with me.” You suggested once more, leaving it open for him to decide. “I convey it well enough, proven by the popularity that the master has gathered. If there are discrepancies, I’ll be held responsible,” you took a second to come up with the word that would please him the most. “For not being able to convey your vision well enough.”
You wanted your words to buy some of the graces you didn’t actually want—them being a currency to get him off your tail; or heel—that would be more accurate. Despite his visible need for protest and his clenched jaw, he relented. “Fine then, assistant.” The title rolled off his tongue like beads falling off a necklace, with an air of arrogance that seemed to constantly settle around him.
A sense of satisfaction poured into you still, despite the huge amount of effort it took to achieve this outcome.
It came to a halt as he leaned his hand on the counter at once, the other hand propped on his hip as he leaned to your stature, imposing your presence, breaking the usual distance needed for conversation in hopes of getting something out of you. “We will do how you want. Then again, commission is still pretty expensive. For that purpose I demand the weapon to be tailored specifically for me“
You swallowed. “They are always shaped for each clien-”
”No, I don’t look to have it only made per my word.” Dan Feng interrupted, his voice cutting through yours like a spear thrown through condensation of fog, causing you to halt. “Does your master need to see my former weapon for reference? The way in which I fight?”
Clients always trusted Yingxing, and a verbal assault of this caliber was far beyond your pay grade. With a sigh, one that you forced to be a calm one, your shoulders slumped. You wanted nothing more than to make the Vidyadhara bleed, but you stopped your sharp tongue.
”I understand the importance of making the weapon worth it, but my master is extraordinary” The self praise felt alien on your tongue, alien like Xianzhou’s cuisine and strange like a rock from beyond. You wished to spit it out with more pride, but it poured out more like water. “He will be able to provide you with a tailored option only after seeing the former weapon and understanding your expectations. That’s how my master keeps clients, I do not know the mysteries beyond that.”
Your defence was firm and sharp, he had to give you that. Dan Feng finally relented, straightening to fold his arm behind his back. His eyes lazily scanned the forge, not a single soul here spare for you and him.
”I am a High Elder, and I don’t wish to waste my time. I’ll send a servant here to deliver my former weapon, and as for its type..”
The Vidyadhara was suddenly filled with thought, slow and steady as his gaze was cast down. You weren’t yet sure how to feel, the gears in his mind turning deliberately, to a degree in which you could hear them click, click, click.
click.
”It is a weapon of long yet true reach, melee. It does not need excessive metal, and it is piercing, Stands tall, yet falls just as easily” High Elder mused cryptically, and his turquoise eyes drifted to yours soon after.
You stood there awkwardly with hands behind your back, pushing yourself up to the tips of your toes, before back to their heels. “Well, from my understanding that seems to be a spear. Do Vidyadhara name them differently?”
For a brief moment his brow rose, but he just shook his head, as if dismissing the thought that appeared. “A spear, then.”
So he was testing you. You couldn’t yet know the result of this trial.
The conversation concluded, and you were finally free to breathe when Dan Feng left. Having to upkeep the front of a dutiful clueless assistant took its toll once more, and you were left having to pick up pieces of your dignity.
Mortals didn’t have it easy on Xianzhou Loufu, despite it being more accommodating for them than the other two ships—and while you didn’t find it most fair, it was all you could get your hands on. You have long learned the importance of finding opportunities, doing what you had access to. You weren’t going to let self-victimisation ruin the odds.
The next day, as promised, the former weapon was delivered.
Dan Feng had a habit of not knocking, and he didn’t knock now either, entering the forge like his own damned domain—the spear in his grasp. Behind the safety of your counter your eyes widened, and you cleared your throat. A moment of silence passed.
“Forgive me asking, Higher Elder, but wasn’t a servant meant to do this duty?
He halted, eyes narrowing slightly at your words, though you had no idea what you might’ve said wrong. Yet it seemed as though the Vidyadhara was just as surprised to see you here. “Assistant.”
Your fingers curled into fists, and you forced a pleasant gaze upon your face. “I’m sorry, have I failed to mention that the master does not meet clients personally? If not, I would like to add that it prevents unnecessary bias.”
To hell with bias. Why was he here, again?
”The former, yes. Latter, hardly” His face turned to yours, gaze softening. “Though One could still hope to be on time.” A smile crept up onto his face, but you knew better than to take it as kindness; pity was more likely. Dan Feng’s interest in Yingxing was proving to be dangerous. Maybe you’d have to forge elsewhere, and take clients here. A faraway dream you could not afford; closer to that was perhaps changing the schedule altogether.
“No matter the technicalities. The weapon is here. Though this sky splitter did look better in its full glory” The doors closed behind him silently, despite the usual occurrence of them creaking with each move. Dan Feng was as robed as ever, preened and pristine and perfumed and he didn’t belong here at all.
The spear was laid on the table, and you looked down on habit, analysing its structure and shape. The front of it was clearly cracked, the fault permeating further down the spear. It was clinging to its frail shape, as a worm after being crushed.
His eyes were on the weapon, before they were on you, and you placed your hand onto the long body of the spear. Perfectly in the spot where its weight centre should be, given the heavier tip of the spear; and yet it still tilted. You frowned.
The spear was laughably off balance, and when you’ve realised how bold you’ve become, you set it down. When you opened your mouth to speak, you were almost afraid you’d ask which idiot forged this.
“I see. It appears broken. What sorts of improvements do you expect of the spear you’ve commissioned?”
You could already imagine analysing the spear later. The sharpness and its weight distribution, the evenness of its body and the smoothness that it should provide. You could smell the moment you’d forge it anew, and taste the ingredients of it with your fingertips.
You found the more you made weapons, the harder it was to stop.
Dan Feng raised his brow, head tilting at an angle as he went through his mind to remember his expectations—he did consider a new spear for some time now, especially after his friends helped him defeat the recent abominations of the abundance—his spear bore most of the damage.
This thought circled in his mind back and forth, what precisely did he want? Nothing but the best. Perfection. Dan Feng was not a master at making weapons, he could only wield them.
”Give it to your master,” the Vidyadhara expressed “ and tell him to improve on everything which is noticeably faulty within this one.”

Okay I wont put everyone down but special shoutout to @asperanna who correctly predicted i was gonna funkily utilise law and kid's awakened powers in someway XD
Awakened powers require both mind and body to reach a certain level of strength, so I won't say the captain trio *spontaneously* become overpowered,,, maybe law because I thibk it was mostly his repressed trauma holding him back, but for everyone else I will say that it's a lot easier to get to that point (esp if they have a shortcut to do so,,, ig ;o _ O?)

Mmmmm thinking about mafiafell…. Writing chapter 7….. thinking about names….Don fell… mob fell and mafiafell r pretty basic so that’s why….
Hm, I love getting inspired and analyzing characters. DF! Sans is just Red, DF! Papyrus is just Papyrus, DF! Gaster is only Wings to his grandchildren…. Oh yes, we’re using that theory here, I enjoy the dynamic seeing as to how the timeline played out. Really young Papyrus is a bit manipulated by Gaster, when Sans pushed his brother away Wings took it as an advantage…. when Papyrus was cripped and seemingly perma-disabled only then did Sans began to care. So Gaster mentored Sans in welding to makeshift him a proper jaw and took Paps another year before he could speak properly...
His speech pattern still remains disjointed so many times he’s removed from the front lines and Sans reserves all the temper of the 3.
And to think Maria is what catches the attention of the most angry skeleton! She and him both die, hm. Say 1950. I do so enjoy torturing them mwah ahaha.
1890-1950 MAFIAFELL TIMELINE
1890: First minster emergence from barrier, remain complacent in scattered regions across Canada
1896: Monster General takes first human soul on surface, first evidence of monsterkinds presence found in Canada. Stories and “myths” of creatures circulate. Thanks a lot Jeff.
1898: Increased tensions lead to monster communities forming isolated settlements near major trade centers (like [REDACTED]). Government begins recognizing monster populations.
1901: Monsters establish borders as recognition grows. American industrialists exploit monster labor for dangerous factory work, deepening resentment.
1908: Monsters migrate closer to cities and soon forms disrupt. Humans are viewed as economic competition.
1912: Monster raids on human lands increase hostility. In retaliation, the United States military experiments with living monster magic to counteract monster defenses.
1914: Tensions reach a boiling point, IB by real life European imperialism U.S. wages war against the monster kingdom under ideal of protecting American interests.
1916: The Siege of Underground occurs. Monster military collapses, King Asgore killed, and monster communities forcibly relocated to reserves for human study.
1917: Monsters granted “limited citizenship,” through heavily restricted rights. Former monster territories are absorbed into U.S. industrial zones and monsters begin to assimilate to human culture.
1920: President Kempt Warren promises normalcy but fails to resolve monster inequality. Magical weaponry development surges as corporations recognize its profit potential and smuggling of monsterkind begins in urban areas.
1922: Prohibition begins. Black markets thrive, selling magics, consumer goods, fleshtrade, and new monster alcohol. Organized crime explodes, involving human and monster gangs.
1924: Anti-monster sentiment fuels the rise of extremist political groups, demanding segregation and tighter restrictions. Monsters form their own unions and underground communities for protection.
1925: Early television prototypes powered by magical energy appear, revolutionizing entertainment and news. This blending of magic and technology creates a unique cultural identity.
1926: President William Cull focuses on economic growth, ignoring societal unrest. The divide between humans and monsters widens as monsters face violence, exclusion, and job discrimination.
1929: Stock Market Crash leads to the Great Depression. Monsters are scapegoated as job thieves and blamed for economic collapse.
1930: Magical weaponry and machinery technologies reach new heights, giving rise to armored cars, magic-powered aircraft, and industrial automation. Wealthy elites control most of this innovation.
1931: Prohibition ends. Human-run mafia families dominate trade in cities in exploiting magic services. Monsters partake with protection and roles of defense for human mafias.
1933: Fiere D. Roster becomes president, introducing “New Deal” to restore the economy. Monsters are largely excluded from government relief programs save for MLA(Monster Liberation Act- allows designated magic users government funding in independent merchant market.
1934(CURRENT): Monsters remain second-class citizens, confined to slums and ghettos. Cities like [REDACTED] form melting pots for poverty, crime, and societal divide. Progress in technology like magic radio, early television, and mechanized transport contrasts moral and social regression. Extremist human groups clash with monster rights activists.
1935: Monsters gain limited inclusion in labor unions, increasing political tension. Roster struggles to manage both economic recovery and societal divisions.
1936: Advances in magical medicine revolutionize healthcare but remain inaccessible to most monsters.
1938: Political radicals push for harsher policies against monsters, fueling riots in major cities. The military continues testing magic-infused weaponry, preparing for potential global conflict.
1939: With tensions escalating an arms race begins between the U.S. and other nations seeking to harness magical technologies. Canada and European powers grow wary of America.
1940: Monster-rights movements gain traction, demanding full citizenship and equal treatment. Whispers of a new global war loom as technological advancements make conflict inevitable.
1945: Supreme Court case “Arlow Trials” highlight case study of monster laborer accused of murdering human factor overseer. Explores dynamic of labor exploitation and systemic discrimination and opens perspectives for monster rights onpar with African-Americans.
1947: In the preparation for war, the HME(Human Monster Equals) act is formed giving monster same rights as humans. In the same situation as African+Americans John Crow laws are passed.
1950: WW2 erupts with America already a world power fueled by magic weaponry and advanced machinery. Monsters are drafted into the military further complicating societal role.
1950-1970: Post-war America emerges as a global superpower with magic-infused technology dominating industries. As result Canada is formed into America and no longer exists. Cultural divide shows signs of healing.
1970/Beyond: Magic becomes commercialized integrated into everyday life like television, transportation, and weapons. Monsters gradually gain equality but carry generations of discrimination and resentment.

My thoughts on Bleakwatch Chronicles: Tinkerbell and the Lost City
I really, really enjoyed this book! I would recommend it to any disney fairies fan, particularly fans of the movie series. It was also a delight to read about a nonbinary fairy in the disney fairies universe! Overall, I don't want to say that I was plesantly surprised, because I was expecting Bleakwatch to be good, but I will say that it exceeded my (reasonably high) expectations. I am very happy about this! A more spoilery discussion below the cut ✨✨✨
First of all, to expand on what I touched on earlier, Clark did an incredible job of imbuing the tone of the disney fairies film into this book. It very much felt like a Tinkerbell film through the characterisation of the characters we already know from the movies: the interactions Tink had with Clank and Bobble at the start literally felt like I was reading dialogue from a df movie. Even Scribble, the bookish fairy from Secret of the Wings, had a mention! Clark did his homework for sure. This doesn't just come through in characterisation and references though, it also moulds the new lore of the series, which is really cool. For example, in bleakwatch, dream talents are necessary because of the lack of the moonstone and moonlight that is required to generate pixie dust. Bleakwatch is firmly established in the canon of the movies and this is done is a very genuine and authentic way. It reads as a natural continuation.
All of the new characters we are introduced to in this book are enjoyable, my favourites being Quin, Danvers and Darwin. I did wonder if perhaps there were a few too many characters apart of the Flutterpunks for such a short book, we don't really have enough time to get to know any of them apart from Quin, but I understand that a team of fairy scavengers would need multiple members and I trust that they will be characterised further in subsequent books.
Though objectively I appreciated this book the whole way through, personally it took me a little while to really embrace it because my favourite thing about the df franchise has always been pixie hollow, it is to this day (and I read a lot lol) one of my all time favourite fictional universes. So at first I didn't think reading a book about a society of mainland fairies would be for me. But the concept of this book is so well done that it really drew me in, particularly the exploration of class and the exploitation of lower classes (which feels silly to be saying about a df book but here we are). The idea of fairies having their talents suppressed by those who wish to guard resources (pixie dust) for themselves is a conceit rife with potential that I trust this series will continue to fulfil. I did think it was obvious that King Bartleby was the one behind the whole scheme but I'm not going to critique a kids book for having a plot twist that was predicatble to me, an adult (also I think plot twists should be predictable to a degree but that's a seperate tangent). The lore and also just, the vibe, of bleakwatch is also so compelling, like baby's laughs attaching to pieces of metal and machinery (what would this look like in present day I have to wonder?) and all these new talents that have emerged. The dreamdross thing is particularly cool to me and i'm excited to learn more about it! Also the image of an underground society of fairies lit by glowing mushrooms is just very cool!
As I mentioned I have a bias towards pixie hollow so I was a little peeved by the constant degradation of it as 'rustic' or 'backward' by the bleakwatch fairies, not because i'm that easily offended, but because it didn't really make sense to me that bleakwatch fairies would feel this way about pixie hollow when it would provide a far better living situation than they have, even before they knew that their talents were being suppressed. I even had an annotation that was like 'man when I learnt about never fairies i'd be PISSED'. But when it's revealed that the only source of information the bleakwatch fairies have about pixie hollow is King Bartleby, who would obviously present it in this way so that no one would ever want to leave the society that he is presenting as better, I decided that this is one of the most clever aspects of the book.
I'm very interested to see how these relationships between pixie hollow and bleakwatch will progress in future novels. I have to wonder if queen Clarion will be as accomidating as Tink assumes, maybe she will decide that it's too dangerous to go back to help right away and Tink will sneak away with some pixie hollow friends and Elmira to do so (this would be too many characters I must concede... but a girl can dream). I particularly would love to see the Flutterpunks go to pixie hollow and their reactions to it.
My only real critique of this book is the pacing. I understand that the first book in a series such as this one needs to be very lore heavy, and that the balance between story telling and communicating lore is tricky, especially when you also have to tie the work to a pre-existing canon. Yet it did kind of feel like we took 90% of the book establishing the set up for the story that then happened in the last 10% and I do feel as if it could have been balanced a little better. The was so much fun and built tension really effectively. I would have loved to see a few more moments like this in the book. I have faith that this will operate better in subsequent books but I am a little nervous considering that there's so much we still don't know about the Bleakwatch-specific talents, it makes me worry that the next books will also be kind of lore-dumpy. This is nitpicky for a middle grade novel, but I also think the relationships between Tink and the Flutterpunks felt a little rushed, Tinkerbell remarks at the end of the book that she was sure she'd made friends for life and I just didn't really feel a sense of that strong of a bond between them from what was shown in the rest of the book. I don't know if Clark was given a hard limit in terms of how long the book had to be, but i've certianly encountered middle grade novels that were a little longer and I think this could have benefited from a longer length, just so these aspects of the ending didn't feel quite so rushed.
Overall though I found this to be incredibly well executed, both as a middle grade novel and as a continuation as the disney fairies franchise. I'm very excited to see where the series goes!
My favourite part was when Tinkerbell told the Flutterpunks to touch grass.

I continue to love Dwarf Fortress' ability to tell you a story, if you're paying attention.
My current fortress is my first time back in DF in a good 5+ years, and obviously first fort in the shiny new Steam version. I've been a little impulsively reckless because I tried out the tutorial, which autopicks your starting location and supplies. I breached the caverns, had some Fun sending squads after forgotten beasts a little above their level, and after an ettin dropped an adamantine slab on death, that winter's goblin raid spiked to ~100 strong. Most of my soldiers were wiped out stopping the wave of goblins who'd managed to climb over my half-roofed-pasture walls, but the fortress endured.
We've been bunkered in pretty safely ever since, while I try to rebuild my military. The exterior has been secured and meatier defenses have been installed, and the caverns have been walled off while grotesque procedurally-generated monsters roam around down there and tear up all the native serpent-people and troglodytes. I'm not exploiting any mechanics to train my soldiers more quickly (yet), so day-to-day fortress management has settled into a largely hands-off routine.
Except for one very unhappy dwarf, one of my tavern keepers, who began appearing in the logs having mental breakdowns (stumbling around obliviously). These finally escalated to a full tantrum, where he started fistfighting everyone in sight until he'd burned off enough anger to calm down. The disorderly conduct landed him in jail - he served his time, but lost his cool again soon after. This time, he fatally paralyzed a fellow citizen in the brawl.
Back to jail he went. Desperate to try and manage his mood before his mental health reached irreversible lows, I sent dwarves to smooth and engrave his prison cell (dwarves appreciate art!), and build him a bed (to avoid negative thoughts about sleeping on the floor). Unfortunately he threw another tantrum while this work was going on, and killed another dwarf who was just trying to draw pretty pictures on his wall. (Interestingly, this all still counts as "disorderly conduct" and not murder to the justice system, probably because his intent was only to punch people. It just so happened that he punched them in the spine, and injured the nerves that allowed their lungs to function.)
I looked at the unmet needs in his profile. What could I do to help resolve some of the things that were making him unhappy, to help pull him out of the emotional pit he was in? A too-long unfulfilled need to be with family caught my eye. Sometimes you can't do much about this, because the dwarf left their family behind to emigrate to the fortress, but when I checked his relationships I saw his two children were babies. Probably in the fortress, then! Where?
When I zoomed to the location of one of his children, it took my cursor to an empty tile in the caverns, and I had a full-on flashback, suddenly realizing who this man was.
Forgotten beast, four years ago. A giant three-eyed spider invaded the caverns. I sent our primary squad of nearly-legendary fighters to engage, but there was a problem. It was sheltering up in the mushroom trees, spitting from range, and most of our troops used melee weapons. The captain of the guard threw herself into battle regardless, climbing into the mushroom tree and braving the beast's globs of deadly spittle. During the fight, the creature ripped one of the newborn twins she was carrying away from her (dwarven mothers, istg), and threw it out of the tree to the cavern floor. Then it did the same with the other twin. It followed them down and easily stomped them to death, and the captain flew into a rage. Their duel was sadly brief, but unlike so many fights where the loser passes out from pain/exhaustion and gets coup de grâce'd, she stayed on her feet and fought to her last breath. Her squad was able to finish the kill after she perished.
This was why our troublemaker was having such a hard time. I'd built a fancy tomb for my badass captain and the babies who fell in battle back when it happened, and this tavern keeper was the husband left behind. As goblins seiged the fortress and his pining for family only intensified over time, he'd finally reached his limit and could no longer hold it together.
I went back to trying to fix him, with the understanding that it was probably a lost cause. Maybe making sure he could have booze in jail instead of water would help? I waited for his next tantrum, where he helplessly canceled tasks to fight people because he was chained firmly to the prison wall. Then once he calmed, I swooped in and made a stockpile for alcohol that he could reach. Now to wait for someone to bri-- wait, what are those combat logs? There's no new tantrum ongoing, what...?
Turned out he'd earned a beating in addition to his prison sentence this time, and a fortress guard had finally come by to deliver it. The guard was armed, but as this was just a disciplinary beating, she only used her fists. Unfortunately she was still too strong, and it was the tavern keeper's turn to get a badly bruised spinal cord. I deflated a bit as I watched him suffocate, but couldn't help but feel it was a little bittersweet. He was no longer left behind.

"In that ending taking into account that Yui used ayato’s paralyzed body for pleasure does this mean she sexually exploited him.?"
WAIT WHAT. WHERE. IS IT IN DARK FATE ? YUI, MY BABY... not you :'0
// Nope, DF Yui is very sweet and she only did one problematic thing.
It happens in his MB Manservant ending! Ayato starts drinking other girls’ blood to protect Yui, but she gets jealous and sexually frustrated. When he comes home, she poisons him, leaving him completely paralyzed, so as to always belong to her. Unable to move or even speak, he becomes nothing more than a pleasure doll as she carries him around, using him for bloodsucking, because that’s what turns her on. Even Karlheinz was afraid of her, lol.
The objectification of Ayato in that game was insane, even as early as the second chapter, where she confessed her feelings for him purely based on his cute looks and the pleasure he gives her. I can't think of any other heroine who showed this level of possessiveness, so… can we officially crown Yui as THE yandere heroine of otoge? 🥰

the dogs in ASC being brighthearts nightmares would work really good if they go for a someone controls the dogs arc, like they’re much more violent bc they’re the reincarnation of the TPB dog pack and follow the orders of whoever wants power most and is willing to kill to get it
although going off that, the original dog pack being a manifestation of Tigerstars greed for power and bloodlust would be very cool
IF I happen to go with the Dogs of TBC and ASC being a Malicious Entity (still undecided!) then they'd definitely be manifestations of Brightheart's nightmares. I'd probably take the opportunity to talk a bit about Dark Forest nightmare fauna broadly.
In a nutshell though, DF Fauna are literally nightmares. They're created by the bad dreams of living cats, everything that they pray to StarClan to protect them against. They can range from "just weird" to "absolutely horrifying," and tend to gain more power based on Popularity (number of cats) x Emotions Inspired.
That emotion can be confusion, sadness, or even excitement, btw. It's not JUST fear.
StarClan has the ability to make dreams, and there are entire groups of spirits who just do that with their time! But not ALL dreams come from StarClan, and cats conjure up their own all the time. It's from those "natural" dreams that DF Fauna are spawned.
So, the first Dog Pack was very much a real dog pack that Tigerstar exploited. A lot of cats have recurring nightmares about them.
I'll still work on the logistics of HOW they're controlled though-- I want to keep the idea that they are very dangerous creatures that don't obey nicely. Not even to their current "master;" there's always the risk that the Nightmare Dogs turn on whoever sicc'd them, y'know?
But most of all, I gotta wait and see how ASC wraps up. The dogs might come back and we still don't know who exactly is commanding them, or how they unleashed them on Curlfeather.

AU that’s basically Yingxing and Dan Feng deciding to not try and revive Baiheng but the incident at Scalegorge still happens anyway just differently because “fate always finds a way” and thanks to shady circumstances Dan Feng opted to disappear from the Luofu, taking baby Bailu with him (and leaving the Preceptors with no High Elder to puppeteer) but also leaving Yingxing behind because Dan Feng didn’t want to drag him down.
(And Dan Feng becomes a single dad constantly working overtime while pretending to be a normal human…who is also a single dad constantly working overtime. Heaven help him if Xingyue child is in the mix becuz then he’ll be a single dad with two kids.)
Except Yingxing follows him anyway (after intense sword drilling from Jingliu).
YX: “Idiot. You really think I would leave you to fend for yourself?”
DF: “W—what about the Artisanship Commission—?”
YX: “They can always find another Furnace Master.”
Yingxing has to take Mara suppressants but they spend the next handful of centuries living their best lives (and maybe have another kid on the Astral Express — no, it’s not March).
And then the Stellaron crisis on the Luofu happens.
Dan Feng: “…I have to open Scalegorge and seal the Arbor again.”
Yingxing: “Fuck.”
Dan feng: fuck the preceptors, i have two kids to raise!
_
Jing yuan: what about the artisanship commission?
Yingxing: fuck the artisanship commission. Those assholes didn't want me anyways, good luck finding a new master craftsman/prodigy of the century to exploit!
_
Only to having to return in the end anyways. Jing yuan is gonna be surprised yingxing is still alive (not pleasantly or unpleasantly, but a secret third thing) and also: wouldn't jingliu have chased dan feng then to find out what happened to her wife?
nice AU still, 8/10

While I am absolutely invested in this Kuma flashback rn, I am equally yearning for the treasure trove that will be the Dragon flashback.
Think about it, with a Dragon flashback we'll probably see
Dragon getting his fruit/what it is and what it exactly does
Why Dragon formed the RA and how he met Iva
His relationship with his father Garp (and maybe even his mother, Luffy's unknown Grandmother)
Luffy's mom, his relationship with them (casual? gf? wife?) and why they're not together anymore (I am a devout Crocomom believer so it could also lead to the hidden Croco lore that we still don't know)
Why he gave Luffy to Garp/ Why Luffy's mom didn't take him
Why he had a kid in the first place when he knew he couldn't keep him (it's obvious that Luffy probably wasn't planned. Dragon knew what the Marines did when they suspected Roger had a kid after all)
How he feels about Shanks inspiring Luffy to become a pirate/the strawhat and Shanks giving an arm for him
Potential Dragon and Shanks meeting? (I'm still uncertain as to whether Shanks knew about Dragon before Marineford, he probably knew about Garp)
Dragon finding out about Luffy's DF
Why Dragon didn't know that Sabo was Luffy's brother (did he just happen to not visit between Luffy getting shafted up the mountain and Sabo returning to High Town?)
His relationship with Sabo and how he felt about taking him in
Ace! Ace knew about Dragon! Did they meet? What would that look like?
His reaction to Luffy's bounty poster and making the decision to meet Luffy in Loguetown + why he didn't introduce himself like Garp thought he would.
Potentially what he thought about some of Luffy's exploits as he went along (taking down Warlords, everything that happens as Ennies Lobby, punching a Celestial Dragon, Impel Down, etc)
I know that's a lot to ask, but I think that's what could be in a Dragon flashback and if we get even half of that I'd be satisfied.

Fr 14.2. 20:30 WICKED, WICKED BIS DIE GÄNSEHAUT ERSTARRT USA 1973 · 95 min · DF · 35mm · FSK 18 R: Richard L. Bare · B: Richard L. Bare · K: Frederick Gately· D: David Bailey, Tiffany Bolling, Randolph Roberts u.a.
Fr 14.2. 22:30 DOLAON OEDARI DIE TODESKRALLE DES KARATETÖTERS Südkorea 1974 · 88 min · DF · 35mm · FSK 18 R: Lee Doo-yong· B: Dong-hun Yu · K: Jong-geol Choi · D: Ian Han, Yeong-moon Kwon, Ae-Jeong Jeong, u.a.
Sa 15.2. 15:30 RISE AND FALL OF IDI AMIN DER SCHLÄCHTER IDI AMIN Großbritannien, Kenia, Nigeria 1981 · 89 min · DF · 35mm · FSK 18 R: Sharad Patel · B: Wade Huie · K: Harvey Harrison · D: Joseph Olita, Thomas Baptiste, Geoffrey Keen, u.a.
Sa 15.2. 18:00 BARBARELLA Frankreich/Italien 1968 · 98 min · DF · 35mm · FSK 16 R: Roger Vadim · B: Roger Vadim, Terry Southern, ua. · K: Claude Renoir · D: Jane Fonda, John Philipp Law, Ugo Tognazzi, u.a.
Sa 15.2. 20:30 MOTHER’S DAY MUTTERTAG USA 1980 · 90 min · DF · 35mm · FSK 18 R: Charles Kaufman · B: Warren Leight, Charles Kaufman · K: Joseph Mangine · D: Nancy Hendrickson, Barbara Luce, Tiana Pierce, u.a.
So 16.2. 13:00 MELODY IN LOVE Deutschland 1978 · 89 min · DF · 35mm · FSK 18 R: Hubert Frank · B: Hubert Frank · K: Franz X. Lederle · D: Britta Glatzeder, Sascha Hehn, Claudine Bird, u.a.
So 16.2. 15:30 JIAN QIAO YING LIE ZHUAN JAGDGESCHWADER KAMIKAZE TAIWAN 1977 · 82 min · DF · 35mm · FSK 16 R: Chang Tseng-Chai · B: Hsiao-Chung Ho, Tung Chuan Wu · K: Hung-Chung Lin · D: Ching Li, Han Chin, Carter Wong, u.a.
So 16.2. 18:00 MS. 45 DIE FRAU MIT DER 45ER MAGNUM USA 1981 · 80 min · DF · 35mm · FSK 18 R: Abel Ferrara · B: Nicholas St. John · K: James Momel · D: Zoe Tamerlis Lund, Albert Sinkys, Darlene Stuto, u.a.
Abel Ferrara, König des harten New Yorker Independent Kinos (DRILLER KILLER, KING OF NEW YORK, BAD LIEUTENANT) inszenierte mit MS. 45 seinen Beitrag zur 1981 immer noch immens populären Selbstjustiz Thriller Welle: Ein knüppelhartes, das damalige New York förmlich atmendes Werk mit einer stummen, unglaublich intensiven Hauptdarstellerin (Zoe Tamerlis Lund), welche als traumatisierter Rachenengel auf der Suche nach ihren Peinigern durch die Stadt zieht und zur psychopathischen Mörderin mutiert. Ein brilliant inszenierter Blick in den Abgrund.

||I'm no computer science major (I tried and failed horribly) so there is nothing accurate about this. And I am not biology/genetics either.
But food for a thought about Vidydhara infertility issue and DF trying to break that curse is akin to messing with the codes. If cloudhymn can be taken literally as singing songs/poems as part of their powers...Why not take it a step further where DF is breaking it down to numbers, messing with the program, and then type enter expecting the program to do as intended...But something fucks up along the way. Like it worked! But not the way DF wanted it.
Hence Bailu is born
The thing about Vidydhara infertility issue is this one big code they're trying to break down and understand so they can try to add in where Vidydhara can create life. But it's an Aeon-level code that is practically perfect with no weaknesses to exploit unless you "cheated" (Abundance) to make a hole and add the new commands in.
Anyway, relating to this is me thinking about Vidydhara (DF/DH especially) manipulating magic like they're "threads" (a bunch of numbers) for it to create something new or do something on command.

[ad_1] Two established quarterbacks will take the field when Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles square off against Kirk Cousins and the Minnesota Vikings on Thursday Night Football. The Eagles enter this star-studded showdown fresh off a victory in Week 1, while the Vikings suffered a surprising setback against the Buccaneers at home. With a limited number of options in the single-game Vikings vs. Eagles NFL DFS player pool, knowing which NFL DFS matchups to exploit could prove to be lucrative.Should your Eagles vs. Vikings NFL DFS strategy include rostering Hurts, who accounted for just one touchdown last week against New England? Should you build your NFL DFS lineups around Cousins, who completed 33-of-44 passes for 344 yards and two touchdowns in Week 1? Before locking in any NFL DFS picks for Eagles vs. Vikings, be sure to check out the NFL DFS advice, strategy, and stacks from SportsLine daily Fantasy expert Mike McClure. McClure is a legendary professional DFS player with over $2 million in career winnings. He uses a powerful prediction model that simulates every snap of NFL action, taking factors such as matchups, statistical trends and injuries into account. This allows him to find the best DFS values that he shares only with members at SportsLine. His methodology has led to enormous cashes on FanDuel and DraftKings. He took down two high-stakes tournaments on FanDuel in 2020 and recorded a pair of top-10 finishes in tournaments with over 130,000 entrants on DraftKings. His lineups also finished inside the top 1 percent in more than a dozen other tournaments. Last year, he won the DraftKings Millionaire Maker twice and the FanDuel Million once. Now, McClure has turned his attention to Vikings vs. Eagles and locked in his top daily Fantasy football picks. You can only see them by heading to SportsLine.Top NFL DFS picks for Eagles vs. VikingsOne of McClure's top NFL DFS picks for Vikings vs. Eagles is Vikings receiver Justin Jefferson. He was Minnesota's main playmaker in the Week 1 loss to the Buccaneers. In fact, the former LSU standout finished with nine receptions for 150 yards. He failed to find the end zone against Tampa Bay, but he'll likely be targeted early and often against the Eagles. Philadelphia gave up three receiving touchdowns in Week 1, including two to receiver Kendrick Bourne, making Jefferson a no-brainer for NFL DFS lineups.  Part of McClure's optimal NFL DFS strategy also includes rostering Vikings receiver Jordan Addison. The rookie wideout didn't waste any time incorporating himself into Minnesota's offense. Addison brought in four of six targets for 61 yards and a touchdown in the Vikings' 20-17 loss to the Buccaneers. Addison finished second on the Vikings in receiving yardage and with defenses focusing heavily on Jefferson, the rookie wideout could continue to draw plenty of one-on-one coverage. That bodes well for Addison against an Eagles secondary that gave up over 315 passing yards last week. Lock him in your NFL DFS lineups and look for a big return against Philadelphia. See the rest of McClure's NFL DFS player pool here. How to set NFL DFS lineups for Vikings vs. EaglesMcClure is also targeting an undervalued player who is set to explode for huge numbers on Thursday Night Football. This pick could be the difference between winning your tournaments and cash games or going home with nothing. You can only see who it is here.  So who is Mike McClure putting in his optimal NFL DFS lineups for Thursday Night Football? Visit SportsLine now to see optimal NFL DFS picks, rankings, advice, and stacks, all from a daily Fantasy expert with more than $2 million in winnings, and find out. talking about gear 5 thoughts
Okay okay so it makes perfect sense why that devil fruit would choose Luffy out of anyone else in the world because 1) he's just some goofy guy & 2) his will is absolutely indomitable. like if he wills it it's going to happen. Loss isn't even a consideration let alone a factor because he simply will become king of the pirates. While Luffy isn't some altruistic figure he does care about people especially if those people are experiencing suffering, case in point wano. it was always about beating kiado, it just also happened that the samurai had aligned interests & meeting otama, her circumstances, the overall circumstances of wano + learning about their mutual connection to ace just solidified the resolve to destroy kiado, not only because he was a monster but as a secondary motivation. kaido was never not going to be beaten, simply because that was never an option.
I think that's also a part of why ppl are drawn to Luffy specifically, he's not masquerading his intentions. There's an agenda, but it's not hidden or done via shady means he shouts it to anyone who will listen. I also love how absolutely fucking terrifying his df actually is like ur telling me this guy can not only manipulate his environment because it functions as an extension of himself, but also manipulate his opponent as well? (Seemingly, if the effects on kiados body during the fight aren't just exaggerated for the viewer) of course they wanted to hide the fruit it's fucking busted, not only that but the historic secretiveness/denial of "liberation" figures both in media & irl is soooo fitting for the op world. someone that powerful who inspires a level of trust and admiration that Luffy does is beyond threatening to a government system but especially one as fucked up & exploitative as the celestial dragons/world government.
Also the ppl bitching the animation was too goofy or silly on gear five are haters that cannot experience childlike whimsy or fun. It's a perfect contrast to how serious & dark the color palette has been through all of that fight & most of wano in general. Plus ur missing the point. like I said luffys just some goofy ass guy, it makes perfect sense for gear five to be mega silly + it honestly makes it more intimidating. ur fighting a guy that's giggling and bouncing around the whole time he's beating ur ass? insanity.
anyways loved it im so happy I rewatched everything in time to see that get animated it was perfect & everything I hoped it would be

The DF causes Russetfur's death in bones au :0? It's not lionblaze who accidentally kills her anymore?
Lionblaze will still be landing that final blow, in defense of Bramblestar! That guy who publically disowned him and started treating his mom like trash! Lionblaze hates that he was put in this situation, but has decided that ThunderClan must be prioritized above all...
And that unfortunately means defending its leader, too.
This battle was brought to you by Thornclaw, the deputy who replaced Squirrelflight. He is a Dark Forest Trainee, the strongest of the living DF cats, demon apprentice of Clawface. Bramblestar wanted a deputy who would be tough, and got a lot more than he signed up for.
Bramblestar is very easy to offend, and has a large ego. He doesn't want to be Firestar-- he wants to rule in his own way, and that means abandoning the humility and diplomacy that Firestar concerned himself with. It didn't do them much good when WindClan and RiverClan both teamed up to "teach ThunderClan a lesson," did it?
Brackenfur is dead, and Brambleclaw became temporary deputy in his place. The permanent appointment must be a sign, then.
Thornclaw exploits this MALICIOUSLY. Bramble is an excellent pawn, with the help of a dozen smarter cats behind him, he is the evil advisor that encourages Bramblestar to throw his weight around and not apologize for "making ThunderClan look strong."
And the more lives Bramble loses in these pointless battles, the closer he comes to becoming Thornstar.
That's the new plan. Say hello to Villain Thornclaw!
