In one of the missions that took an unexpected turn, things were going smoothly until they found themselves having exhausted their ammunition of slugs and ghouls after a battle with a gang of bandits. They quickly got into the vehicle and Aya took over the driving, and the road was very bumpy.

Aya's erratic driving causes more problems than the bandits themselves lol.

She swerved driving left and right...then she made a decision in a split second and headed towards another road that led to a towering cliff...she jumped the vehicle over the abyss, screaming happily while Blakk and Nacho were shocked and hoped that they would not fall. Xdd

After the vehicle reached the other side, Blakk and Nacho could not believe that they had arrived safely.

This just popped into my head how would Lia ( my oc) react to seeing Blight and Diablos Nacho and then the two seeing her as well?

Lia probably wouldn't have known anything about Blite, and the Gang would have had to fill her in.

So, obliviously, even before meeting the Neotox Slinger, she's a little hesitant.

Then she meets him, and he's just a murder hobo? Like not the garden verity, but the, 'had been trapped(rightfully) in a maze unable to talk to anyone but himself and his slugs for years and is a little weird/erratic seeing new people'

Like, okay?? Just don't mention being a part of the Shane Gang and he's rather, okay to be around?

Blite is likes, 'another human, hmm good hope im not hallucinating again-'. He honestly probably doesn't think much about Lia at first, but the moment he knows she's part of the Shane Gang, all bets are off the table because my guy, has issues.

When it comes to Nacho, Lia is probably, curious?

Because, under the assumption, the reveal of Nacho being a Dark Bane hasn't happened yet, or Lia just doesn't know he's a Dark Bane, she probably assumed he was an Elf, that just got corrupted by his exposure to Dark Water or something.

Nacho, could care less. Lia is the enemy in his mind and it working again his and his bosses goal.

You’re welcome and seeing this makes a lot more sense to me. The language barrier in Slugterra is really interesting to me,and It does make you wonder what other names/ words the dark banes have that translate differently to other languages. 🤔

I just thought of this do you think all dark banes create fake names ( when they go up to Slugterra)to keep their original name a secret? Because I don’t think that Diablos Nacho’s name is his real one because that would be both very funny and very weird at the same time. Let me know what you think about this.

okay so I'm totally not a very knowledgeable linguistics person, BUT-

I actually think diablos nacho is his real name.

yes, it's funny in English. But this brings up the age old question - do they speak English in slugterra?

for the sake of it being a show w audio, everything is English. Or spanish, (bless you Bajoterra), or French, or all the other languages it's dubbed in. The eastern caverns have the same language too, and I kinda like that cause it supports my theory the east and west were connected a while back hence why their cultures are still similar.

but the in-universe logic is probably different. There's probably a bunch of regional accents (hey, like the cave trolls from the beast forge!) and even different languages. The surface probably at least speaks another dialect (I love bilingual Eli). And the dark bane, trapped away from the other societies? They ABSOKUTLY have their own language, the higher-ups like nacho and brimstone knowing the slugterran language for the sake of conquering it (that's right everyone's bilingual I love education).

so the dark bane are speaking slugterran to our main characters. And even in the real world, we have "English" versions of names. A real example is my own middle name! If I was boring I would say my middle name is the "English translation" - which is "Mary". But in the original Estonian, it's "Marju". I find that cooler (plus it's my actual MN duh) so I roll w that. But the dark bane in-universe probably have their own language, and since they clearly can still talk to slugterrans, they might be translating the words ("tere hommikust" becomes "good morning") but not their names (I'm not calling myself Mary, I am Marju). So diablos nacho is probably his name in his native language.

and, like all of you reading this post not knowing how to pronounce Marju, we don't know the dark bane cultural meaning of "diablos nacho". To an English speaker it's funny! But it could just be a öö situation - öö is a really funny Estonian word as an English speaker, but it means Night, and therefore is probably the punchline in many sad tragic melancholy Estonian songs and poems. "Diablos nacho" in dark bane language might me "deciever" or "bringer of death" or something menacing/associated with his role in dark bane society, and we just don't know.

so I think el diablos nacho is his real name. It's funny to the viewer, and in universe, it's probably a non-translated dark bane name that could strike fear into the hearts of the outlanders or something.

“I’m pretty sure that one’s mine,” Danny said softly, pointing to the wrapped burrito you had just set in front of you on the blanket.

“You ordered a Crunchwrap,” you replied, looking at him. “That one’s mine!” You corrected him, shaking your head as you pulled out the remaining items from the Taco Bell bag. You dumped the ungodly amount of sauce packets out of the blanket between you two and looked up at him. “You wanted a Crunchwrap today as well as your tacos. Not a burrito.”

“Are you sure?” He asked, reaching for the burrito. You playfully slapped the back of his hand, looking at him.

“Yes, I’m sure!” You pouted, grabbing your burrito. “You wanted a Crunchwrap Supreme with no tomatoes, two soft shell tacos and cinnamon twists.” Reminding him of his order, you pushed the food towards him. “I wanted a five layer burrito and nacho fries.”

Danny looked at the food in front of him, popping a cinnamon twist into his mouth before he looked at you. “Okay, what about the quesadilla?” He asked, pointing towards the quesadilla that sat between you two.

“Oh, I thought we could share it! It sounded good but I didn’t want a whole one.”

“You’re so sweet,” Danny mumbled, leaning closer to you. “Sharing your food with me.” He laughed, leaving a soft kiss on your lips.

“Mhm,” you hummed against his lips, kissing him back softly. “You’re lucky you still taste like cinnamon and sugar right now. The moment you put Diablo sauce on your food I’m no longer kissing you.” You teased, shaking your head.

He frowned, grabbing a couple hot sauce packets from the mountain that sat on the blanket. “You sure about that, princess?” He asked, stealing one of your nacho fries.

“Positive,” you replied, nodding as you stole one of his cinnamon twists in return.

“I’ll get my kisses from you,” he said, unwrapping the two tacos. He opened the Diablo sauce packets and poured the hot sauce on top of the tacos. “I always get my kisses from you.” He chuckled, taking a bite of his taco.

“Always, huh? What if I just refuse?” You questioned, unwrapping your burrito as you looked for some Mild Sauces from the pile.

“You and I both know you could never refuse me,” he smiled, wrapping his arm around your shoulder as he leaned back against his car that was parked behind you both. “I’m just too irresistible.” He laughed, placing a soft kiss on your temple.

“Something like that,” you joked, looking at your Mild Sauce Packet. You smiled, reading the stupid blurbs on the front. “Here’s, this is for you.” You giggled, handing Danny a Mild Sauce packet.

“I don’t want Mild Sauce.” He shook his head, taking another bite of his taco.

“Just, read it, dummy,” you replied, putting the sauce packet in his hand. He rolled his eyes playfully and looked down at the packet, a smile forming on his face.

“Okay,” he smiled, placing his half eaten taco down on a napkin that was open on the blanket. “I’d love to, baby,” he whispered, tossing the sauce packet to the side. He wrapped his arms around your waist and pulled you close to him, kissing your lips softly and sweetly. “Tell me when and where?”

“How about… right now?” You smiled, crawling into his lap. “After dinner?”

“Oh, don’t tempt me. Because I would in a heartbeat.”

“I mean, I’m down,” you smiled, glancing at the sauce packet he tossed to the side.

I really wished the writers could’ve given us some interaction with Diablos Nacho and Maurice in the series, because I would have loved to see how those two would interact with each other. What do you think?

Diablos Nacho and Maurice, Thaddius Blakk's right and left hand men.

One trying to aid his people in taking over and destroying Slugterra and the other, an old, trusted, confident who has been by Blakk's side since their time apart of Viggo Dare's gang, and has possibly seen Blakk as his lowest and most deranged.

Interactions between them would have been so interesting.

Like Maurice not trusting the Nacho at all when he first appeared, and Nacho just thinking Maurice was some human pet Blakk kept around only for the Dark Bane to realize if he wanted Blakk to trust him a little more then originally Nacho was going to have to play nice with Maurice.

Alternatively, awkward, reluctant drinking buddies complaining about Blakk and the other Hired Slingers.

But yeah, i see them not getting along to well tbh like, they have a reluctant truce every now and then, but they try not to interact all that much seeing as how Maurice seems to handle logistics with Blakk Industries, while Nacho dose field work mostly.

They can exist in a room and hold a basic conversation, but outside of that their like feral cats passing by each other.

But I do like the idea of them, like being casual coworkers/friends.

My friend says thanks for the answering the question it really was bothering him about it.Really wish we actually got an entire episode where we learned more about nacho, the dark band and how nacho learned to make himself look more human, now that would’ve been an awesome ep to watch.

My friend wants to know something and I to want to know as well, this is his question “how come nacho’s the only dark bane to go work for dr. Blakk wouldn’t it be better to have more dark bane in his group? Or did the writers have no time to make more dark bane characters?”

more dark bane come up to help Dr Blakk at the end of "Back to Blakk" - nacho was the only one up at first because a)they wanted to keep the secret of the bark bane in Slugterra for as long as they could, and nacho is the only one (probably) who can shapeshift to look more human, and b) Blakk needed a lot of ghouls to open a portal big enough for several dark bane to go thru at once. The fandom has been calling the 4 other bark bane that came up after back to Blakk plus nacho "the dark bane elite" for a while. Brimmstone stayed in the deep caverns so he could command the army into the portal during the s2 finale - they planned for a huge assault, not a slow trickling of dark bane, especially since they probably planned on causing a great upheaval and overpowering blakk in the confusion.
