Conspirituality does not create its followers’ nausea at the state, modernity, or the poisoned chalice of techno-capitalism. It does not create real-world disasters such as the Jeffrey Epstein sex trafficking network (a reality that makes QAnon reasonable on a symbolic, if not factual, level). I don’t have clips but when you first approach Astarion you can hear him calling out in clear fake distress like “help, please! Please can someone help me??” And all I can think about is that little mouse in the forest from Disenchantment who purposely tossed her cane down and was like “oh heeeelp, I need heeeelp” and then when Derek moved to help her he immediately got caught in a trap and the mouse robbed him

So everyone knows I'm obsessed with disenchantment I imagine, I don't really hide it lol, and there is that bit with zog and Derek and the big skillet. And it is one of my favorite casual bits from the series, so Everytime I go somewhere and see a skillet or the word skillet, I automatically quote the bit.

I have done it a few times around my bf, and for whatever reason, that particular bit just makes him fucking lose it. Like out of every silly joke or funny impression I do, that is the one that sends him off a fucking cliff and I have absolutely no idea why, but it brings me joy 😂

Also, I was ranting to him about my mom's friend's ability to attract the most user/loser guys to take advantage of her and how she has trouble setting boundaries and kicking them to the curb and I said "she can say no, she isn't the home for wayward dipshits!" And my bf started snickering and I was like "what?" And he just says "nothing... Just... Wayward dipshits was a good one"

And I like that I am somehow the funniest person he knows and he is not at all insecure about it and just absolutely loves it. So many men feel threatened when their younger and/or fem partner are funny/funnier than them.

We love secure men in this house 🙏💕

Happy 5-year anniversary to my ocs The Rodericks & Co. who sustained me for 3 years until they got overshadowed by dragon ball.

I used to write soooo much about them on a notepad app on my kindle and everything after 2020 is soon to be lost media becasue i am no longer able to email stuff off of the app to myself so once that kindle dies it's all over.

im rewatching disenchantment part 1 and why are there so many references to this in part 5!!!! i watched the first 4 seasons a year ago man. i was watching this shit with 0 clue as to what derek meant with the skillet or who malfus was😭

Scenarios I didn't script but, I think would happen in my Disenchantment DR

Scenario 1: Getting drunk with Bean and Luci for the first time, and them having to drag me home without Zøg seeing.

Scenario 2: Setting Elfo free on multiple occasions in season 1, and Zøg yelling at me for it.

Scenario 3: When I first get there I forget me and Bean aren't on the best terms, and I get so happy seeing her, and she's super confused and weirded out.

Scenario 4: Luci flirting with me, and it catching me super off guard.

Scenario 5: Elfo attempting to flirt with me after Bean rejected him, and me giving him the awkwardest smile.

Scenario 6: Bean and I actually getting along for a second, but someone mentions it, and we go back to bickering.

Scenario 7: Bringing Derek along on our adventures, and accidentally leaving him somewhere.

Scenario 8: Having one extra big bag that I carry Elfo in.

Scenario 9: Arguing with Bean and accidentally saying something that genuinely hurts her and vice versa.

Scenario 10: Saving Elfo from hell and thinking Luci, actually betrayed us.

Scenario 11: Luci trying to convince me to do dangerous things, and Bean having to save me 99% of the time

Scenario 12: Trying some of Oona's root, and us being out of our minds for like 2 hours.

Scenario 13: When Luci, and I start dating-ish, we tell Bean, and Elfo. Bean is confused, but supportive, and Elfo thinks it's the worse thing to ever happen to him.

Scenario 14: Listening to Derek tell me about the big skillet at least 3x a week

Scenario 15: Screaming songs from my CR while drunk with Luci, Bean, and Elfo, and them thinking I'm crazy.

Scenario 16: (SPOILERS!!!) Hating Bean for a little bit, after Luci traded his life for Mora's.

Scenario 17: Me, and Bean combining our wardrobe together. (I have nothing to wear to adventures. She has nothing to wear during royal events)

the ending of disenchantment feels a little unsatisfying to me.

I found like, four main thing that annoyed me:

the season ran for too long, they had the final confrontation with Dagmar like, three times.

they were so obsesses with explaining every detail and showing us where each character ended up that they undercut story beats, like, do we really need Alva to go to the moon in the last episode right when Bean's about to fight Dagmar?

the stories they did close last season were reopened and ended badly (Porkey and big Joe, Jerry)

they just paired everyone up and sent them to live away from their friends with only their romantic partners

a secret fifth thing: some of the ending don't make sense. why is Chazz running steamland? why is Merkimer prime minister? why is Derek a pirate? why is Lucy dead?

My ideal ending for disenchantment would've been all the dreamlanders, elves, trøgs, orcs, mermaids and potentially hell itself being ruled by the 4 of them, and Derek and Jasper out on the sea while nursing all their parents

(also potentionally bad Bean switching sides and becoming Bean's twin sister because atsv brainwashed me)
