you can see that the script originally had ford building an anti-gravity machine for the science fair (which i guess acts as foreshadowing to the portal?), but the sun lightbulb feels like it would've connected to the opening of stanchurian candidate....

#it probably would've made stan's issues in that ep hit even harder but honestly its not very visually... distinct? impressive? idk #the perpetual motion machine kinda looks like a triangle and probably seems more useful and impressive in comparison tho #and yes footbot is literally a football ducttaped to a toaster #ford pines #stanford pines #stan pines #stanley pines #i do kinda like this version of stan goofing off in class #altho them switching glasses wouldn't work as well with the teen stan design we ended up getting #even still i think briefly showing them doing any type of twin switches is kinda important #with some fans ending up doubting that theyre identical twins lol #but i feel like the scene we got of ford letting him cheat is kinda important to show too #he ain't uptight about rules!!! he didn't mind helping his brother!!!#also its fun that stan likes doing shadow puppets too when he said that ford is super good at them #messy hair stan my beloved

it works really well for his design in general so it could be completely unrelated, but I do wonder if the choice to give gerson's sprite such a visible tail is also something that ties into Susie's arc with him. We know she hides hers because she's built up a very aloof persona to protect herself and her feelings, and her tail betrays a lot of the emotions she tries to hide. meanwhile gerson's entire plotline in chapter 4 is centered on poking at her irony poisoning and encouraging her earnestness as a creative/storyteller by wearing her heart on her sleeve.

#he's just twirling and pirouetting and jumping around and cackling and howling with laughter #and his tail is always very distinct in his silhouette. which plain and simply looks good from a visual character design standpoint #but it does make me wonder yknow #deltarune #gerson #susie

drew some of my fav ody designs! wasnt originally meant to be also replicating the styles but thats sort of just how my brain works. except i didnt copy the lineart styles of anyone here so its DEFINITELY a bit uncanny for a couple of these (LOOKING AT YOU QINNY IM SO SORRY) but whatever

WITH A GUN. gfrdfvb vfrdedrf #i am a very normal non anxiety having person i swear guys #worst thing i did here was have odys hands very visible for the qinny one. because i didnt realize the way they draw hands is very realisti #BUT THEIR WHOLE STYLE HAS REALLY REALISTIC ANATOMY I SHOULVE KNOWN #irunakis style is SO fun to draw in bc its a lot like some of my older art so its very familiar yk yk i wasnt worrying too much about makin #-things accurate. but i think that accidentally made me too comfortable and so i ended up straying a bit too much #i think a lot of irunaki and qinnys styles specifically is in the lineart. so me using my normal style of lines makes them less recognizabl #anyways. neals odysseus i have shit talked in private (its a good design it just feels uncanny w/ jorges voice to me) but hes really-#-interesting to draw. i wanna do style studies on neal their characters have a very. idk animated feels like the wrong word but like.#something like animated. feeling to them. theyre very distinct in shape i wanna do studies thats it #bigidiotenergy i found this morning while FINALLY looking at cloudysseus art and instantly fell in love w their design #i need to ruffle his hair. hes so silly. absolutely incredible design. but GOD was the style a nightmare #it was too late id already comitted to trying to replicate the styles. but ohhh my god its so far from my own it was so hard #theres so much detail in places i dont normally put any at all #and its like. WAUGH its scary i need to do anatomy studies in general maybe #uhh havent commented on the gigi one. he was really easy to draw though lol. weirdly enough gigis style was close enough to my current one-#-that i didnt have any trouble whatsoever? and i think its the most accurate too but only because of the lineart styles being similar lol #ALSO NOT TO PLAY FAVORITES BUT FOOP ODYSSEUS IS MY FAVORITE #I LOVE HIMMM I LOVE HIS SILLY SHAPES HE LOOKS LIKE A WEIRD CAT KINDA. hey there!! i'd been checking this blog for a while, and I really wanted to say you're a great source of inspiration haha! I really love your dog characters and your lore! The amount of research and dedication is really amazing!! about ludovica's gf, do you mind if I come in with my vision as well? I think she'd be a really fluffy dog, maybe with curly hair. so my mind went to the portuguese water dog; but then i thought of two versions: long hair and short hair. so i drew both (tried my best to make her look like a lady and not a grandpa haha)
