You're sitting in the breakroom at the deep wooden table, scribbling away at the pages in front of you when you feel a presence looming over your shoulder....

Simon 'Ghost' Riley watches you color in silence for a bit before asking what you were doing. He thinks its cute the way your face heats up when you realize you'd been caught, but he doesnt think you should be embarassed about your hobby.

When you invite him to join you and offer to make him a copy he just grunts in response and walks away with his fresh cup of hot tea.

Dont worry though, cause he'll take you up on that offer next time.

Captain John Price would watch you color from a distance and before you could realize he's there, he's slipping out of the break room to grab his 'adult' coloring book and pack of pencils from his office.

He accidentally startles you when he pulls out the chair next to you and drops the thick book in front of his seat. It takes you a moment to realize that he's joining you, but you couldn't be more excited about it.

The two of you spend the night coloring side by side in a peaceful silence.

John 'Soap' Mctavish will tease you about it to no end once he finds out you like to color in your pass time. He's pokes at you about it a lot, but with enough convincing he'll sit and color with you.

He gets a copy of the same book just so the two of you can be coordinated, and proposes a competition for who can color the picture better. He forces Ghost and Price to judge, and almost always looses because he cant pick color schemes

He doesn't take it to heart, and instead promises he'll beat you next time

Kyle 'Gaz' Garrick his first thought when he see's you coloring for the first time is that its neat that you like to unwind in such a calm way. He doesn't need any convincing to sit down with you and color. It actually gives you an opportunity to connect better since you're the two youngest on the force.

Coloring together becomes a scheduled thing with him, and you even get matching coloring books together when you finally finish the first one.

Ritsu smiled softly at you, "Thank you, it would have hurt a great deal if I'd heard that you were dating someone else, especially someone like him."

You smiled back at him, "I only have eyes for you Ritsu, I love you."

And, days later, you learned that Leo's post about you had been suddenly taken down. If you try to ask Ritsu about it, he'll deny having a hand in it, though you have your suspicions.

Alan Mido - "Hey Alan? Are you here?" You called as you walked into Vagastrom's garage, glad at least to see that Leo wasn't around in there. If you'd seen him, you were fairly sure you'd try to punch him, even though you knew that wouldn't end up well for your part.

Just as you were about to give up looking for him, Alan popped up behind you.

"Sorry, was down in the pit. One of the students said you were looking for me?" Alan asked, and you nodded.

"I need to talk with you now before you overhear Leo blabbing his mouth." You explained.

"What did he do to you?" Alan asked with concern. You explained the situation to him, and while he didn't fully understand why Leo would be doing this, he was angry at him for doing it.

"I'll talk to him." Alan sighed, knowing he probably wouldn't be able to do anything about it in the end, Leo rarely listened to him.

"I just needed you to know that I would never date him firstly, but that I would also never date someone else behind your back." You told him, and he graced you with a small gentle smile.

"I know you wouldn't, thank you for telling me."

You smiled and hugged him tightly.

Days later, you find out the post has been deleted. If you try to ask Alan about it, he won't admit to anything. However, he strangly seems to owe Tohma a favor now..

Subaru Kagami - "Are you okay, MC? You seemed so panicked in your message." Subaru greeted you as you got into Hotarubi to meet with him.

It’s a distant memory, but Johnny can still picture your face scrunched in agony when he closes his eyes, the way you snarled in pain when he tourniquet your leg. The months of therapy and rehabilitation, remembers all the successes and failures.

It wasn’t easy when one day to the next it seemed as your recovery was abysmal. But you were stubborn, resilient, cursed in the face of challenges. He was by your side the entire time, through your good days and bad days. Took leave so he could be there during your entire recovery— something you weren’t completely fond of.

You didn’t want him to put his life on pause just because of an injury you received, but he reassured you everytime— ‘Bonnie, ye are ma life.’

Now, all that remained was lasting nerve damage, seemingly simple tasks became strenuous. It drove you absolutely mad; once a high ranked official in the special forces reduced to a burden.

Johnny tried to let you be for as long as he could, didn’t want you feel as if your independence was stripped from your hands. But he could only watch you struggle for so long, couldn’t stand the grimace on your face when you had been standing for extended periods of time, when the nerves pinched at your muscles and made you strained.

You always tried to brush it off like it was nothing, that you could handle it— ‘Johnny, I’m not a baby now. I’m fine.’

But you weren’t.

He could tell by the way you clenched your teeth, grinding them to shreds or when you would narrow your eyes and curl your lip while cooking as if the food personally offended you. The way your back stiffened, shifting from foot to foot, digging your fingers into the side of your thigh when you thought he wasn’t looking.

Johnny tried to vocalize his concerns, offer to cook dinner instead— ‘Johnny, you don’t know how to cook for shit.’

Warmed you a bath instead of a shower— ‘The water gets cold too quickly in a bath, Johnny.’

Tried to tell you to stop working out, let him walk the dogs, told you to come to him when you needed help, that he was there to take the pressure off you. But you scoffed in his face, too prideful to accept.

So, if you would not listen, Johnny tried to help you in subtle ways. He couldn’t cook for shit, but mama MacTavish? Well, she was practically a chef. Spent quite a bit of his free time learning recipes from her.

The first few times he tried to cook for you, it went terribly wrong, ended the night with fast food and a burnt ego. But he didn’t stop until he was able to cook dinner for you most nights.

Then, you didn’t say anything when a shower bench appeared in the shower one day. Only pressed a soft kiss to his cheek after you found it, but that was enough, had him beaming from ear to ear.

You did get quite frustrated when he kept hiding the dog leashes. So, he suggested the two of you take them to a dog park where they could roam free instead of walking them. They could run their energy out, and all you had to do was sit and watch from the bench.

Those were the easy obstacles; stopping you from working out proved to be difficult, especially when you insisted you needed to because it helped your leg. But he started working out with you, kept an eye on you, so he could make you take breaks by taking turns— ‘Jist want tae be yer gym buddy, hen.’

That’s not to say you didn’t challenge his aid in other ways.

“I don’t need your help. I’m not weak,” You had snarled when he tried to place his arm on your back one day, silently urging you to use him as leverage.

“Love, I never said ye were weak. Never thought that, not for a second." He reassured, thick brows furrowing together.

You didn’t say anything more after that, pulled his arm back around your waist, and banded yours on his shoulder. They were small victories, but Johnny would take them with welcoming arms if it meant it helped you.

It’s probably my love of horror and messed up sibling relationships, but I have to wonder how Dark! Ford would approach Shapeshifter! Stan.

I mean, seeing as Stan can escape pretty much most physical cages through shape shifting, I imagine Ford would have to rely on magic, or even the whole emotional mess of being Stan’s most important person.

Which is an interesting dynamic to me lol.

My first thought on Dark Ford Shapeshifter Stan is looney toon ass shenanigans. Think road runner and Wile E. Coyote, where Stan's road running his way through the apocalypse and Ford's desperately trying to catch him both from 'my precious little brother Stan i need to protect' and also 'wtf Stan was a real life shapeshifter and i thought it was a joke? I need to live out all our childhood hypotheticals stat'

Second, more serious thought, is that it would be huge mess on both sides. Stan's moping in his room eating valentines day chocolate when the world ends, and a wave of weirdness rolls through the world. A demon's in charge of the dimension now non stop partying through the planet, and one of his henchmaniacs is looking for Stanley Pines with a picture of Ford on a bunch of billboards saying 'looks like this' with a reward and everything. The reward is 'you get to live' and people are all for it.

Except Stan doesn't look like that, and never will. He has no idea why this random demon is looking for his base form, all he knows is he has to get to jersey stat and save his family. Except when he gets there his family is gone (Ford got there first). So now he's just, cutting loose in the apocalypse. Doesn't need to blend in anymore and now dozens of shapeshifters are seeking him out to learn how to shift like he does. Super depressed at the lose of his base and human family but at least shapeshifters want to hang out with him now?

I imagine it'd be a few weeks before Ford finally got frustrated about his lack of progress on finding his 'human' brother and went to Bill for help, then used his abilities to learn that Stan was a shapeshifter, was always a shapeshifter, and exactly where he was (no need to hide after all, he's not Stanley Pines anymore, and shapeshifters are becoming more dangerous now that they don't have to fit into human society). He'd go from rage (Stan was a shapeshifter this whole time!) to embarrassment (Stan told me he was a shapeshifter and i thought he was joking) to an even stronger need to have him (Stan's a shapeshifter and thought i was super important because i am. I'm important to him, just like he's important to me, and we should always be together. The fact that he has this power means i dont have to worry about him as much). In a way he's almost more possessive of this Stan then normal Dark Ford, because he knows exactly how Stan viewed him (I'm his most important person, and he's mine. mine. MINE!)

It.. wouldnt end great. Stan's thrilled to see Ford healthy and alive, eager to come with him and expressing how sorry he is. But the moment he admits he can't mimic Ford as an adult Ford gets.. weird. Stan's his brother. They should look alike. Why can't Stan just be him and fix it? He's a shapeshifter isnt he, just shift! Doesnt understand Stan's reasoning that while he can look like adult Stan Pines, he doesnt feel like adult Stan Pines. It feels fake, forced, like he's acting and not really himself. Since Ford trusts Stan to take care of himself more than human Stan, he 100% uses emotional manipulation to keep Stan with him to try and 'fix' him, but also gets weird mad scientist and pushes Stan to shift more and more. They're brothers. Twin brothers. They should look the part, and Ford wont leave Stan behind ever again, and doesnt Stan want to stay and 'fix' what they were? Maybe all Stan has to do is never leave Ford's side ever again and eventually he'll feel like himself :)

So Stan's getting hit with a lot of red flags on Ford's possessive behavior, but he was also conditioned to think of Ford as someone important and to stick with him to learn. Logically he knows Ford's just a important person and not 'the most important person on the planet', but throughout their childhood they only had each other, and he leaned on Ford harder than most shifters would. So even though Ford's behavior screams 'get far, far away' he can't help but stick around and try to be the adult Stan Pines that Ford wants. Just telling himself over and over to stick with it until it feels real, and ignore the parts that tell him he's falling into a trap. that a bad guys got him, and is going to take him away. Becoming more of Ford's personal shifter, and not his brother.

Shifty would not be helping in this situation, as here he'd be an awful combination of Ford's son and pet. Ford loves Shifty very much, so wont he do everything Ford asks? Just like Uncle Stanley does :)

he reaches out slowly as if you're a wounded animal. you certainly feel like one, being so nervous about what's to come and hoping for a helping hand. you gnaw at your lower lip while his hand slowly but surely finds its way to your impatient palm.

his voice, a rare thing, breaks the silence.

"we are just..." he trails off, searching for words that won't make him sound as weak as he feels. "uncomfortable," he decides.

it's the most he's given you in ages. you need this reassurance that he doesn't loathe you. he's been acting like a robot like he doesn't have needs. you don't want to see battle-ready nikto. you want him vulnerable and soft, like how things used to be.

the issue here is the other content matter of the blog and how @/addictedantler is responding. he is lying saying its some other artist that he is safe, it wasnt his blog guys! now, not only is it a blatant lie for reasons i will display later but i find it especially disturbing given what he posted on his now deleted blog and what he continues to post on the remade blog. a certain liking for minors. and in labeling himself safe, covering this up and pushing it away he protects his reputation. he makes himself seem trustworthy. gives him easy access to the many, many minors in this fandom. it worries me a great deal.

quackity being a dad headcanons because there has been too many baby tiktoks that give me baby fever

i think if you were both hispanic or both speak spanish fluently, he would want his kid to speak it too as their first langauge. If not and you dont speak spanish or arent hispanic and speak a different langauge , he would teach them english because its a common ground between the both of you, but he’d teach his kid spanish later when they are more like 5 or 6, teaching them common things to say.

what does Dirge get up to post-epilogue following his recovery in the city? does he have a plan or does he sort of just get pulled into another adventure?

does Minthara's hypothetical daughter (in reference to her patched Speak with Dead) dialogue come into play at all or are you ignoring that/brushing it off as a dev mistake?

honestly given that minthara never talks about her child in game and she never dies in dirges playthru, theres just no way in game for him to ever experience that dialogue or get that info. and because of that, their entire relationship on AND off screen is built without it. also my entire characterizarion of minthara+her relationship with dirge was built without it, so while im sure theres enjoyable avenues of character analysis to be built off it, i personally am not super invested in exploring it thru dirges storyline. the answer to how hed cope with a child+kids in general is already p well handled thru jaheiras family+arabella+mol and mattis+his brothers child with laezel. wrt mintharas storyline, its such a nothingburger in game since it doesnt let you rly engage with that aspect of her in dialogue at all. like minthara and motherhood IS interesting and fascinating, for sure, theres a lot to unpack there. but i think itd be better explored with a romanced partner that isnt dirge. dirge and minthys relationship generally explores themes of autonomy, worship, power, trauma, and recovery and while raising a daughter isnt antithetical to that, any child in the picture would need to take center stage as a third major player in the dynamic, and it just doesnt rly have room for something like that as ive currently characterized it.

tldr ill play in momthara spaces online and in headcanon but its not a factor in her story with dirge 👍

as for what he does post game. OUGH THATS A DOOZY. i havent really settled on it! withers hints that he'll call the gang back together (potentially owing to cyric shenanigans) and dirge is honestly more of an adventurer than a homebody, but part of why he ends up in baldurs gate is explicitly BECAUSE thats more challenging for him. returning to menzoberranzan is a return to comfort, lets him avoid the things he dislikes about himself+the city, lets him stay in easy comfortable habits that dont get challenged or upturned. he gets to just do what hes been doing, this time with fewer stressors, and never have to worry about changing himself as a person. while dirge would like that more, its less interesting than dirge having mental breakdowns because he cant figure out how laundry works! so his current canon endgame is going into traumatic brain injury induced torpor, getting emergency psychic surgery from omeluum, then being out cold for most of the time skip to the epilogue party. minthara establishes a house in the upper city for them and starts ingratiating herself in Gate politics and involving herself with the citys movers and shakers, so that by the time dirge comes to (to start physical therapy yayyy), itd be REALLY hard to just up and leave. theyve been settled for months by that point, and minthys been operating on the assumption thered be no way to tell when dirge returned to her, so she had to prepare for the long haul of maintaining a stable home for both of them with proper access to medical treatment and professional help. that rly digs roots in deep and makes it hard to just. up and GO. so baldurs gate is his home and base of operations both out of necessity by his circumstances, and also by narrative symbolism because he doesnt get to ignore hes a deeply unwell individual full of psychological problems, disability, and trauma. minthara also, imo, REALLY needs that space to develop herself outside of her relationship to dirge because if SHE had it her way, shed deflect and gladly play second fiddle to her trusted alurlssriin because thats just the safest option. Access to safety and power and shielded from personalized consequences with a guaranteed defender who wont allow her to be betrayed or backstabbed. Its a position that minimizes her autonomy by feeding her power and influence through the person shes attached to, and while its safe, it isnt what minthy needs to THRIVE. so 6 month break!

after the epilogue, dirge is primarily trying to regain his ability, and assisting minthara with her political maneuvering and scheming, something shes canonically having a blast with. Dirge himself is very comfortable playing a support role, but is def struggling with the severe drop in kill frequency. Turns out his idea of "drip feeding the Urge" in game was actually SIGNIFICANTLY more frequent than even his bhaalist years! spending 30ish years killing once a tenday, to about a year killing once a DAY to once every several days, and then going tendays to MONTHS without killing is uhhh. an Adjustment™��. but beyond All That, hes doing a lot of Forbidden Necromancy research, happily cultivating a poison+alchemy garden, and also being forced by his loved ones to socialize. He babysits decently often! Being in the Gate makes it easier for ppl to contact him so hes frequently in contact with Isobel, Shadowheart, and Gale, and Astarion has free reign to crash at his house. Rly its just everyone Off Plane that he doesnt get to talk to often.

honestly i personally would love for his gay ass to go out and cause trouble again. its just rly hard finding a reason WHY. like theres several projects hes working on that could provide a REASON but not the middle bit of actually being a problem solved by adventuring. Theres fixing Karlachs heart, curing astarions sunlight sensitivity, finding a way to revive Orin. Theres also the fact hes a forbidden knowledge blood hound and would ADORE the chance to tear through ancient ruins for archeological artifacts and magic lore. Hes also contractually obligated via Chosen Soul Pact to assist Withers if he comes calling, and on top of that Bhaal finally hung up Ye Olde Divine Landline allowing other Gods to hit Dirge up, so its less "Dirge doesnt adventure again" and more "He would but idk what'd CAUSE it". Theres a lot of options and if he wasnt a special snowflake+over level 12 id play him in a dnd campaign for sure
