Okay so helmetless mod came out, and while I could gush and simp and all of that I wanted to point out a very specific instance of the Doom Slayer's face that in the scene was animated but hidden due to the visor of the helmet - during Azhrak's crushing death:

They could've easily - or not at all since it probably wasn't intended to be seen - make him more angry, as you'll see in the video he's practically snarling and gritting his teeth in a lot of scenes but here they could've make it VERY blatant him seeing red and all that, loosing himself deep in cathartic blood-soaked rage finally getting his vengeance out for Serrat and the absolute hell Azhrak's invasion caused the Argenta people. But they didn't.

He looks... broken, almost. There's this expression on his face I'm struggling to describe in words just... something about being stuck in this cycle of violence, loosing those you care about, constantly, it's like that thoughts going through his mind at this very moment, he can't escape from it, killing Azhrak won't change anything. What's done is done. And still even after this he still chooses to keep on fighting, fighting to protect those from everything he's went through, suffer and loose the way he has, which is admirable but also really heartbreaking. He's truly selfless.

Because I've been #noticing it in the fandom lately:

He's not ugly in Eternal, you're just mean. And you know how fucking tired he is by Eternal? Give the guy a fucking break he doesn't meet your beauty "standards" or whatever. I mean he's still old in the Dark Ages since like he was fighting in Hell for like thousands of years beforehand but in Eternal he's even older than that. He's old. God forbid he looks old when he's old (and still he doesn't even look that old but still, older)

Meanwhile I'm a Doom Guy true kisser no matter what. He's still pretty I'm sorry some you guys can't see that 🫶
