Mold appearance and dimension
Is the kind of water connector correct? Is there sufficient clearance in the hole for the water connector? The hole's outside border must be consistent and chamfered.
Indicate the water lines with "IN," "OUT," and neatly and legibly number them. For instance, INT1, OUT1.
Pneumatic or oil connection numbers must begin with the prefix "O" or "G," for example, G IN1, O IN1.
The gas, oil, and water plugs' screw threads all match the Tooling datasheet.
Are the KO pattern and size up to par?
The Locating ring's diameter and fastening type comply with the Tooling specification.
The tooling datasheet's sprue bushing sphere radius must be met.
The total size of the mold must satisfy the customer's press (tie bar space), and the clamping technique must satisfy the customer's demand.
When installing a mold that requires installation instruction, the cavity or core plate should be etched with an arrow that reads "UP."
Each part must have a unique number. Moreover, the standard mold datum needs to be etched.

A flat-surfaced space block must be utilized for the ejecting stroke.
A return spring must be a normal part; it cannot be split or polished.
Does the material for the lifter, wedge block, and gib match the requirements of the customer? It must be heat-treated or nitride-treated.

Random thoughts:
-I LOVE Ilaria Kaeslin’s music. I don’t necessarily love the routine, but I like the music haha
I rarely even watch interviews (not even of my favorite gymnasts) but Eremina and Morgan Hurd were are both so sweet and their enthusiasm is contagious.
Eremina was a pleasant surprise for me. I knew she was going to challenge for the UB title, but I underestimated her as an all-arounder. She won bronze with a relatively weak vault and little things to fix on all of her events, so I think she has a lot of room to grow. I love that she goes for big skills and combinations and consistently hits them.
Brooklyn Moors also exceeded my expectations. Her floor is awesome.
Japanese WAG looks great. Two of their gymnasts placed in the top 8 in the AA final (Mai and Aiko), two qualified to beam finals (Mai and Asuka), Mai won floor finals (and Aiko was the second reserve), and Sae qualified to vault finals. Bars was the only final with no Japanese women. I’m excited to see what they can do this quad with their veterans and promising juniors like Hatakeda Chiaki.
I’m happy for Ellie Black. I’ll never like her style, but she’s done well cleaning up her routines (and adjusting her skill selection to avoid costly errors). For someone who used to be so weak on bars, she’s really come a long way in terms of the difficulty she performs. Obviously her bar work isn’t what I’d call beautiful, but F releases and combinations with E releases are nothing to scoff at.
The same sort of goes for Fragapane. I find her floor performance a bit....weird...but she does put effort into expressing herself via music and choreography and she has cleaned up her tumbling a bit. I think Thais Fidelis (who I LOVE) was a bit underscored in FX EF but not so much so that she was robbed of bronze. If Thais can just upgrade some of her super easy dance skills, she’ll really be a strong contender on floor - her tumbling is difficult and sooo clean in the air.
I’m thrilled for Jade Carey and I think what she’s managed to accomplish at worlds is incredible. To go from level 10 to 2-time silver world medalist in a year is amazing.

Adam Cornish Design + Junglefy, Junglefy Breathing Wall
Environmental infrastructure specialists, Junglefy and designer Adam Cornish have collaborated on green wall systems for over five years. Through this collaboration, it became apparent that more could be done to utilise the air cleaning properties of living plants. The Junglefy Breathing Wall is a result of this development: an indoor/outdoor system designed to actively remove pollutants from the air, harnessing nature’s inherent air cleaning and purifying qualities.
The unique insulated chamber mimics a natural microclimate through a series of fins that regulate air and moisture, encouraging the ecosystem to expand and grow new organisms. Unlike traditional potted plants and green walls, the breathing wall system engages the plant, root bundle and soil to filter air in much higher volumes. The modular system is deconstructible, meaning it can be assembled according to the size of the space.

Designers Dale Hardiman and Stephen Royce collaborated with technical engineers on their Open Garden project, a conceptual installation created for Melbourne Design Week in 2019. The pair transformed discarded screens into a sculptural mechanism that redistributes electronic waste into a new and functional light source.
Through a process of bending, fusing and hand-wiring old LCD iPhone screens together, the final connected frame revives these previously discarded materials as a new light form.
Good Citizens, 100% Recycled Eyewear
Inspired by a primary school challenge, a father and son duo repurpose discarded single-use plastic bottles into sunglasses frames, creating two classic styles that are 100% recycled, and made in Sydney.
Wanting to eliminate any metal components, the pair re-engineered the hinge connecting the arms to the frame so the entire product is completely made from recycled plastic. The resulting clip can be easily removed making pairs of Good Citizens sunglasses colour customisable and easily replaceable. This means if one part breaks, you don’t have to throw out the entire frame. Genius!

Dowel Jones + Soft Serve Studio, New Model
New Model is the environmentally-conscious brainchild of design brand Dowel Jones and industrial design consultancy Soft Serve Studio. The brand was supposed to be launched in March of this year, one week after restrictions were imposed on Victorians. New Model intends to produce zero-waste, carbon-neutral products made from surplus, remnant and waste materials available at a commercial scale.
Eventually aiming to foray into furniture and lighting, the brand’s debut project is the zero-waste 1-Hour Bag which is made from deadstock upholstery materials. Hopefully, New Model launches with a full line of products soon!
Sussex Tapware, Circa range
Sussex Tapware is a true family business. Across four factories, all the company’s production and manufacturing is completed locally. Sussex Taps is one of the only tap companies in Australia to own and operate its own foundry. This enables them to run an internal closed loop system, whereby the chippings and debris leftover from metalwork are melted down and reused in new products.
The Circa range of hardware fittings is handmade by craftspeople locally in Melbourne, and is cast from 100% recycled brass sourced from the company’s own closed loop system. An energy system overhaul in the factories has seen emissions reduce by 30% since the installation of solar panels.

This innovative concrete surface developed by Five Mile Radius turns that production cycle on its head by creating speckled terrazzo slabs entirely from construction and demolition waste collected around Brisbane. Used as a benchtop, table or seat, each unique piece combines excess wet concrete with crushed demolition waste that’s been directly diverted away from landfill.

Everton 1-3 West Ham: Hammers end losing start to season
West Ham halted their disastrous start to the season with a first Premier League win under Manuel Pellegrini as they outplayed Everton in a lively contest at Goodison Park.
Andriy Yarmolenko’s first Hammers goal opened the scoring, the Ukrainian finishing off a slick counter that went from the halfway line to the net in three passes, Marko Arnautovic with the assist.
Yarmolenko got his second in the 31st minute with a fine curled effort from just inside the box after a Jordan Pickford error gave possession to Mark Noble.
Just before the break, Gylfi Sigurdsson powered in a header from Jonjoe Kenny’s cross, converting after Cenk Tosun missed two good chances.
West Ham were coming in on the back of four consecutive defeats – a fifth straight loss would have constituted their worst ever opening of a league campaign.
But Arnautovic ensured that run came to an end when he struck clinically after a one-two with Pedro Obiang, the Hammers again profiting on the break despite Everton’s spirited start to the second half.
The Toffees were unbeaten under new manager Marco Silva before Sunday’s match, but had only won once, and they will regret the handful of individual errors and missed chances that was ultimately the difference between the two sides.
Even in the game’s latter stages they were pouring forward but could still not find the net, substitute Oumar Niasse rattling the crossbar from close range after Lucas Digne’s cross.
Victory lifts the Hammers up to 16th, with Burnley taking their place at the bottom of the table after losing 1-0 at Wolves earlier in the day. Everton are now 10th, with six points from their first five games.

Lukas Fabianksi’s goal withstood seven first-half attempts before Sigurdsson’s unstoppable bullet header, and on the break Felipe Anderson was exceptional in his link-up play with Yarmolenko and Arnautovic, who was forced off in the second half.
Pellegrini said before this fixture he “trusts now more than ever” his ability to achieve at the highest level. His players backed him up with an impressive counter-attacking performance. Games against Chelsea and Manchester United are up next.
