Frederick Chilton is proof that the greatest sin a character can commit is being annoying, there were legitimate serial killers getting better treatment than that man every season of Hannibal.

It's not funny, but I just saw a comment from Bryan Fuller, where he stated that if the show continued, Chilton would have continued to meet an unpleasant fate in each season.

I want you to keep in mind that he had three near death experiences over the three seasons of Hannibal, the first one; he had a surgery performed on him and most of his less vital organs were removed.

Second season, he gets shot in the head, has half of his face blown off, and shattered.

Third season, he gets his lips bitten off, and he gets set on fire.

What could possibly be worse than that?

I know it's not funny with the shit that he went through but it's also kind of funny that Bryan himself, literally said that if we got more seasons of Hannibal, his near death experiences would have just gotten worse.

I think I need to take a break from SVU and go and rewatch Hannibal.
