I saw the Wishbone episode long before I ever read the actual text of the story and I swear to god when I did read it I went what the hell I thought that was a joke Wishbone put in what do you mean it’s actually in there

“if he be mr. hyde, i shall be mr. seek” is such a funny line i can’t believe robert louis stevenson actually wrote that in the actual original dr. jekyll and mr. hyde in the actual year of 1885

Please add The Hunchback of Notre Dame???? The ending is so good and Claud Frollo is supposed to be a Gaston type. Phoebus is super uninterested in any woman ever outside of his duty to marry and sire children. Esmerelda is 14? She teaches Djalli a trick and gets arrested for witchcraft because her goat “spelled” Phoebus’s name with a bunch of tiles. Quasimodo is deaf and mute. Also, his mother literally GAVE HIM UP and Frollo took him in because it was the good Christian thing to do which makes his twisted fall into lust even more stark, especially since he suffers 0 repercussions. Everyone ends up worse off except Frollo (and arguable Phoebus but he ends up married which for his character reads as a terrible burden).

It’s one of my favorite movies, but they did Victor Hugo dirty.
