First time reading Tomb of Dracula comics, and i'm in love with Rachel Van Hellsing, although she's diminished to benefit Frank Drake 🙄🙄.

But i love her concept (buffy before buffy), her knowledge of supernatural, and determination to destroy Dracula.

She should've been part of the original midnight sons instead of Frank Drake. And i would love a team up with blade on his current run or new movies (if he has new movies 😒).

jonathan harker's arc is about him accepting that he is actually into being dominated by an evil vampire as long as that evil vampire is the woman he loves. mina murray harker's arc is about her accepting that she has a right to take up space and speak her mind instead of bowing to social norms. lucy westenra's arc is about how the polyamory didn't change anything, it didn't save anyone, but it still matters that the polyamory was there. arthur holmwood's arc is about learning to cope with a sudden massive tragedy by opening himself up to others and strengthening his social bonds. quincy p morris's arc is about being hot and owning guns. abraham van helsing's arc is about not getting complacent in the idea that he has an open mind and accepting that he might make wrong calls based on his biases. jack seward's arc is about rebounding from life altering heartbreak by getting back in contact with his old favorite professor from med school who he sucked off one time. count dracula's arc is about fumbling a series of bad bitches so hard that he flees the country and dies.

I still don't love Batman, but Gene Colan was definitely the one artist I know could nail him. I've read many comics as my stupid hyperfixation has not faded in a year (or maybe it has, but i'm too lazy to find anything new), and Gene Colan is one of those names I always go back to for quality. Daredevil, Dracula, Doctor Strange, Namor, Howard the Duck for Marvel. Batman and Wonder Woman (and Jemm, Son of Saturn) for DC. Even if I hate the characters, Gene Colan's artwork almost makes it bearable. And I mean, going from drawing Dracula and Daredevil to drawing Batman...it feels like a logical, progression there. And thankfully, Gene Colan got some of the better stories (at least so far, as i make my reading list). He gets some of the stuff before crisis, introducing Jason Todd and dealing with Gerry Conway's serialized stories (I'll give Gerry Conway props for that. Like Batman '66, most of his 80s stories are split into two parts. And that can be fun, sometimes).

Wade would have a CONNIPTION! He'd definitely stay in this universe for a bit, just to get seduced by the Dracula slayer and then be on his way.

Wow, that's a lot of text for one page. I'm not complaining, but i find it impressive. Also, i caught a reference to dracula, which is funny considering i mentioned i probably wouldn't like the tomb of dracula a while ago. (Marvel Premiere #13):
