Closed starter for @dragonmasterhiccup
It’s rare to say the least, to meet the chief of Burke a place that the fire nation truthfully didn’t really pay much attention to due to the size of it during his father’s reign. Holding his head up Zuko approached holding a hand out to shake “welcome to the fire nation. I look forward to hearing your ideas on how to form a relation between our respective homes.”

@dragonmasterhiccup

She regards him curiously. He is the close companion, friend, of her mate and Alpha. She knows deep down inside herself that she shouldn't fear him. He is proof that the two legged creatures aren't all bad.
Some are kind, compassionate, and would sacrifice anything for them: and she's seen that firsthand. From him.
Nova titters, bowing her head low, white scales shimmering in the moonlight like a thousand tiny stars in a galaxy made of snow. He's still a mystery to her in many ways. Her time with him was short- and she has plans to change that.
Toothless was close to this one. A bond she can't even begin to imagine or describe. So she wants to learn more about this Viking that befriended a dragon, see what her mate sees. Grow closer to her partner and his human in turn.
"Rrrrrrr...."

@dragonmasterhiccup || Continued from asks
"A-Astrid? Come on, say something?" Watching her fall felt as if it had been in slow motion, and he couldn't get to her fast enough. Even Toothless hadn't caught it in time, being too far away to break her fall. When she spoke, he let out a sigh of relief. "You had me worried." Cupping her cheek with her hand, his expression changed, becoming more questioning. "What happened? You never fall off your dragon..." He held his arms out towards her, wordlessly offering assistance if she needed it. Hiccup knew she wasn't one to accept it typically, but there have been enough times she had for him to know to offer it. Of course, he would either way. "No, you're not. Something is hurting you, I can see that much." That grimace didn't go unnoticed by him, and while Astrid was tough, it's not always the best idea to push through the pain and ignore it. "Toothless is working on getting her attention. But I think she'll notice you're not there and come looking for you soon enough..."

Astrid took a deep breath, trying to ignore the sharp sting radiating up her leg as she shifted her weight. She met Hiccup's concerned gaze, the worry in his voice tugging at something deep inside her. Still, she was as stubborn as always, she wasn't about to crumble. Not at a time like this.
She appreciated his offer to help, but waved it off with a small smirk, "Hiccup, really. I'm fine!" she said, her voice firm, though the strain behind it was hard to miss. She wasn't one to usually let a fall get to her, but this time it had been different and just thinking about it caused her to be hit by a wave of nausea and dizziness.
"I - I don't know. Something spooked her. I don't know what it was, but I have never seen her react like that before" she said, thinking back to the sudden, frantic jolt mid - flight that had sent her spiraling down to the ground.
Her hand moved instinctively to the axe she always carried, as her eyes quickly flickered back to the sky intently searching for her dragon, before she once again turned her attention to Hiccup.
"Whatever it was, we need to figure out what we are dealing with. Stormfly doesn't get scared like that for no reason." Astrid's voice was more steady now, her determination cutting through the lingering pain. She may be hurt, but she wasn't about to let it slow her down and she didn't want Hiccup to worry anymore than he already had.

The girl stared at the sketch of her entire family in awe as her eyes began to water. "Is…is this for me?" Her voice small and soft as he took the frame. "Oh..oh, thank you! Muchas gracias!"

Widening her dark eyes at Hiccup, Stranger tilted her head at him dumbfounded. It was one thing to be invited to stay temporarily after they had been found, the idea of them leaving on their own still in their heads even if they had sort of been...dragging their feet on that idea. But it was another for the leader of this place to offer them some sense of permanence, to make something that belonged to them where they lived. "You do that for us...?"
It would certainly make things easier and safer for them in the future. They weren't sure what winters were like above ground, but they knew enough to know that it was cold and they likely wouldn't survive otherwise. There were plenty of dragons here that didn't survive in the cold normally, so the humans likely had a way of protecting them and keeping them safe in the winter where dragons would otherwise struggle to.
And whether they decided to leave or not, shelter from storms especially in the coming winter would help them. They didn't exactly have certainty elsewhere and if they wanted to know how things actually worked up here - mostly Stranger, though she could tell that her brothers were just as curious as she was, at this point - then staying would likely be in their best interests...at least for now. "That would be...nice. Safer when it is warm. Day is warmer than night. Lets us hide better when it warmer." It wasn't just their coloration, it was also the quality of their scales and the effectiveness of their cloaking that was affected by the time of day.
But how to explain that to Hiccup...
Spying a stray plank of wood in a nearby barrel, Stranger grabbed a hold of it that was dryer than the stick she was using to draw in the mud and tapped on Sunchaser's shoulder, Seabreak already arguing with a flock of Terrible Terrors about a fish he had staked a claim on and Streak watching carefully from a nearby rooftop from above. Sunchaser wanted to stick close to Toothless in case something changed that required his immediate attention - like his sister asking him to light a fire.
Obliging, lighting the end of it for her, Stranger trilled affectionately towards him as she then turned back to Hiccup. The hand that was holding the plank was tucked back into the sleeve to protect her hand from accidentally burning and she was holding it underneath her other sleeve, the flames warping the quality of her dragonskin wrappings until they shimmered into a perfect mirror sheen. "Scales can get really hot and not hurt us. When sun is out, day is warm, so we can hide longer." Pulling the flame away from her sleeve, it took a decent few moments for the mirror shine to wear off, the skin translucent once more. She carefully watched for Hiccup's reactions to see what he thought of this little adaptation of theirs, curious to see the thoughts that would flicker across his verdant gaze. "Night is cold, so is harder to stay hot. So, we can't hide as good at night when cold."
To demonstrate this, she heated up her sleeve again and then once it warped to its reflective quality, she then dipped it in the closest barrel of water and pulled it out quickly, the scales of her dragonskin changing back much faster than before when she allowed it to wear off gradually. "Scales get really hot, but not good at staying warm. If too cold...it get really hard to be warm and stay warm. W-winter can be really bad. Not safe for us. Mothermouth never too cold, so...never had to be scared of winter, before."
With a lopsided grin, he nodded, "Yes, exactly! Humans certainly do that!" It was a good way to look at it, though he preferred people weren't like that. Unfortunately, it was inevitable.
Hiccup's brows furrowed slightly as she cringed, but any worries he had were quickly put to ease. "Oh! Don't worry too much about that."
When dragons first started living on Berk, there were quite a few surprises in store for both them and the humans. Eventually, all got used to the others presence, but it took some time.
Though, that brought up an idea...
"Hey, would you like a shelter built in the cove? For future storms? A, a place that will stay warm in the coming winter?"
Shrugging, he answered, "Oh, mostly in the day. But we've taken our fair share of flights at night as well. I suppose you and the others prefer to fly in the daytime, you can certainly blend in better than at night..."

Kiara hung the bloodvine in the kitchen for it to dry. Four long strands were all she was able to find in the snowy mountains. The rich dark red vine was easy to find once she was on the right area. But that wasn’t the only thing she found.
The fae returned to the living area. On the chair a bundle of blankets warmed by the fire. And amongst those blankets was the ice fae’s newest problem. She had no idea what to do with it. Kiara had no clue about these things!
…But Hiccup did. Realizing the chief would be the best to deal with this, Kiara picked the bundle up and headed out into Berk. Finding Hiccup was much easier now. Reaching out with her magic she could sense his signature. Luck was on her side, instead of the forge it seemed Hiccup was at his home. Knocking on his door, she adjusted the heavy bundle.
“Hiccup? I need your assistance with something.” The blankets shifted in her arms and the fae struggled to hold them.

🥎🐶 For both, honestly
Astrid began scratching playfully under Stormfly’s chin, and the dragon responded by kicking her leg and squawking happily with excitement. It was clear that both of them were enjoying every second of it. “Go get me a stick and we’ll play some fetch,” Astrid said with a grin. Stormfly didn’t waste a second—she took off in a flash, determined to find the biggest stick she could carry.
Astrid sat down on the edge of the cliff while she waited, and it didn’t take long. Stormfly came bounding back, stomping her feet in excitement, holding what looked more like a small tree than a stick. “Since when have you gotten strong enough to throw an entire tree?” Astrid asked, turning her head with a sassy smile. Stormfly just cocked her head back and forth, playing innocent—even though Astrid knew her too well to be fooled.
“You’re gonna have to find something smaller…” she said, her voice rising in playful inflection. Stormfly dropped the tree, then stepped closer and gently placed a much smaller branch in Astrid’s lap.
“All right…” Astrid said with a chuckle, then tossed the stick off the cliff for Stormfly to chase. They repeated the game over and over, and after about twenty minutes of nonstop fetching, Astrid finally suggested they take a flight.
Stormfly eagerly agreed, and Astrid hopped onto her back. The two of them took off into the sky, speeding around the Isle of Berk as fast as they could, the wind whipping past them in pure, exhilarating freedom.
- Astrid
Hiccup was in the Forge, as usual, perfecting the new design he had been working on for his prosthetic. Gobber’s handiwork was good, but Hiccup was always improving everything his hands touched.
Toothless, growing bored, began to sniff around, looking for something to play with. Satisfied with his findings, he pranced over, dropping the failed first attempt for an improved prosthetic into Hiccup’s lap.
“Not now, bud. I’m working,” Hiccup said, shooing Toothless, but the dragon was persistent. “All right, all right. Tell you what, I’ll take my work outside, and we can play while I work. How does that sound?”
After setting up his makeshift *workshop* out in the sun, Hiccup threw the leg many times, Toothless chasing after it before bringing back the slobbery piece of wood and metal. The dragon was satisfied until Astrid went speeding by on Stormfly. He began grunting, alerting Hiccup.
Looking up from his work, Hiccup smiled, setting down his pencil. “Let me guess, you wanna fly too.” Toothless’s tongue fell out of his mouth as he began to pant excitedly. “Sounds good, bud.”

"Do i travel?" No, as simple as that. but Aurora couldn't simply say that. She envied him... he looked like someone who travelled a lot, and if she said she only lived there, maybe he would find it odd.
And even if she wasn't supposed to speak to strangers, she didn't want to be seen as uninteresting.

"I know some places, yes..." Her hands came together, fidgeting a little bit as she lied and approached to see the map, curiosity in her gaze.
Obviously, she didn't recognize much, but she could see the sketches of a coast familiar to the coast of the kingdom she lived in, Ald Tor. She had a big book back home with maps and descriptions of places she only dreamed of visiting.
"You must know a lot..." She observed, looking at him and then looking at Toothless with a soft smile, tilting her head, acting a bit more inviting than before. The creature really was endearing. "Are the two of you hungry? I have some berries here if you want some."
"And maybe if you want to, i could help with your map!" She offered, clearly excited not only to help him, but to hear of places he might have visited.
It was amazing to hear of something new for once.
Permanent Starter - Feel free to interact.
Another day in the woods, but never too different from the many days the girl had already endured. Taught to never leave the forest, sometimes she felt like she was a sparrow in a birdcage - she wished to experience things, but her aunts didn't seem to even consider allowing it. With her bare feet playing on the water of a small pond, she sighed to herself, birds curiously watching the almost forlorn looking blonde lady. She tossed her greyish purple shawl over her shoulder. "Why won't they ever hear me?" Briar Rose mused out loud, talking to the animals gathered around her. "It's not like it's difficult... i just want to see the city, for once." Perhaps, she was being punished for something she did in another life.

"Ohhh, t-thank you, Astrid! That's---wow! You, you really shouldn't have gone through all that trouble..."
At his reply, Astrid fixed him with a stern look. "Oh come on, it was no trouble at all. I had to make it, it's tradition after all!" she exclaimed, taking a sip from her own mug.
"Now, drink up before it gets cold!"
