dragora im so sorry this is the first time i actually sat down to draw you (loosely)

Getting some actual storyline written out here

Nothing to see here! Just starting a blog specifically for my comic...

if you're not already aware I am working on a comic called 'Tooning it Up Adventures in Voice "Acting"'

Here's the basic plot I have so far...

In the year 2065, a young woman named Leira Starrfolt enters a place called ALB Studios, an animation facility that's been known for producing most of the cartoon shows in the late 2030s through 60s, in the hopes of getting a job as a voice actor... err, contributor...

Upon her arrival, she is already taking note of all of the bizarrities of the Studio lot... she discovers that the Toons are living, breathing and working on the facility campus, having been created using the process of bioprinting (which, outside of the community the studio resides in, is typically illegal, unless you're running a certified hospital, or have proper medical licencing and are using it for... Well, Leira can't think of anything else that it could be legal to use it for... But she's not sure if this qualifies)

Leira meets Dragora, a Bio-Printed Toon Dragon who explains vaguely: "with our super Hi-Tech equipment it'll be like you're layin' around printing money"

She's then introduced to Air, the human(?) in charge of creating the artworks around the studio and the designs of many of the characters that roam the lot...

A loudspeaker eventually breaks the conversation with calls for "unvoiced Toons" to report to Stage F

She is asked to step into a recording booth and as she reads the lines she feels an icy chill rising in her throat and her voice fades away before she gets to the end of the script... the facility workers hand over a work ID and as she takes it in her hands, she feels her voice return...

She gets to Stage F and is astounded by the sheer amount of living Toons in front of her... all mute, but all alive... and just as zany and elastic as they are on television and streaming...

Leira works her way down the line and stops when she encounters an adorable dogtype Toon, a little orangey-golden bipedal canine, seemingly inspired by a mix between a dachshund and a pitbull, drawn in a semi-rubber-hose style, wearing lime green gloves, and a big red heart on his chest, his ears perk up and tilt down a bit as he stares at the newest Voice Contributant pleadingly, begging for the chance to speak with a voice of his own...

Leira looks at the little Toon pup with an amused grin... she looks at the other Toons one more time before finally deciding on the little dog in front of her...

Air instructs Leira to hand her work ID to the Toon she's picked... she does so, suddenly feeling that odd chill in her throat again, as if she had just swallowed an ice cube...

Suddenly the Toon dog in front of her begins to clear his own throat... and speaking in a weirdly familiar voice: her own...

"Ahem aaahh--hemmm..." the dog coughs, clearing his throat and experimenting with different tones until he is comfortable with the sounds coming from his own mouth... "me-me-me-me-me!!!"

Finally, after what feels like several minutes, he seems satisfied with his new voice and reads the name on the identification card... "Leira Starrfolt, eh? Nice to meet ya! My name's Impy Dog'Hart!" he shakes her hand, smiling as he adds, "As your newly assigned Toon, all I ask is for my own room..." he lets Leira have the nametag back, and she feels the iciness in her throat disappear again as her voice returns yet again.

Thing is, she kisses him each time he tries to start. Fun, teasing food time with good company! For the WIP asks, I'd love to hear about the Mizuki-dragora :3

(Also I know it stands for Endwalker but my brain parsed "Meeting the Master (EW)" as "Meeting the Master (YUCK)" lol)

Estinien looked around for Mizuki but she was nowhere to be seen. Grimacing as an awful screech reached his ears. Glancing down he saw a mandragora screeching and running between his feet.  Estinien frowned and pushed the creature away with his foot. Which only prompted it to screech louder and started slapping his leg with its little plant arms.  Estinien pushed it away harder and it fell backwards onto its back.  Hopping to its feet, the creature ran off only to be scooped up by a student, whom he was certain he had seen before.  Did they go to the annex?

“What an unruly creature.” Camélia remarked, 

“Sorry professor.  It usually lives in our classmates' garden..it must have just slipped away.” she said, turning on her heels with the creature. 

Estinien frowned when he saw the creature peer around the student and gave him a little wave.

Surely it couldn’t have been?

I love having made Mizuki-dragora a canon thing in my little world now. I just think it's funny and very Mizuki. "Oh well I need to leave" -poof pop- little plant creature. Runs away happily.

And they are one of my favourite critters.

I wanted to have Mizuki interact with the Scions more. And having her confuse Estie-bestie makes me laugh.

Sage, you know exactly how this will go... Crow- professional, they can and will walk on almost everything, he can even fight in them ( while looking stylish) Cardamomo- I...I think he would do ok. Better short heels than else. Has good balance tho! Florami- this is someone who would go around just in flip flops i dont think he can or want... Muirin- yeah she can! even tho she would wear them as weapon at this point... Drasyil- he has the vibe of being able to wear moderate heigh? I have no idea how that would work on asura tho.. in my mind his shoes have a lil heel tho Dragora- yeah totally, he does his job in platforms, the guy who can wear stiletto the best i think. (gw2 crow...learning from him who said that.)
