God he was an idiot, a big idiot. Why couldn’t he had just told her the truth? Maybe he was just scared, scared she wouldn’t like him for him.. scared she would think something bad of him. No instead he pretended to be someone completely different, even went by his middle name when he met her. Now he sat there feeling like a complete fool in front of her. How in the hell was he going to talk himself out of this one? The two or them had been getting close and fast, he had every opportunity to explain who he was and why he had lied but he didnt.. he was too worried to bust that perfect bubble.

Now that perfect bubble was definitely popped. When the ladies came up calling him Cole and begging for a photo. This was what he had been trying to avoid, he just wanted a normal life. When the women left he sighed, “i-“ he didnt even know where to start..” he confessed, “i know this is probably all really confusing to you but before i explain who i am- hear me out on why i told you something difficult.” He picked up his drink and poured it down his throat, “he was going to need it, “the night i met you you didnt know who i was and honestly it was refreshing.” He man admitted, “we hit if off and got along so well i didnt want things to change.. should i have been honest? Probably but i was too worried.” He sighed. “My name is Colton and im a drunmer for a fairly popular band given the type of music you listen to.” 

Kenzie had always been picky when it came to dating. Blame it on her addiction to Hallmark holiday movies that was rekindled every November, or maybe it was the cheesy romance novels that she devoured, but she wanted that picture perfect romance. She wanted the meet-cute, the slow dancing in the kitchen, the morning kisses and falling asleep cuddling. Granted, she rarely stuck around with anyone long enough to realize those dreams. There was always some reason not to: an ick she couldn't get passed, a difference of opinion, or a first date that just didn't have those fireworks. Meeting in a bar wasn't exactly the "so how did you meet?" story that she dreamed of, but her friends had seen something between her and Colton that her picture-perfect vision didn't, and they had pushed them together. Next thing she knew, she'd taken him home with her (something she never did, thank you very much), and then they had been spending nearly every day together.

She had just taken the shot of tequila, scrunched up her nose at the taste, and turned to see if he noticed. She was pretty sure he thought the faces she made were pretty cute and she wanted to see his reaction. He brought out a wild side of her that she didnt know she had, but she liked it. But the women were there, saying things that didn't line up with what she knew about him, taking pictures even though that didn't make sense either. "I don't... I don't understand..."
