Rituals vs. Spell work: Understanding the Difference
When delving into the mystical realms of magick, it’s essential to grasp the distinctions between rituals and spell work. Let me illuminate these concepts:
Magical Practices (Spell work):
Definition: These are simple workings—everyday magics that don’t necessarily involve elaborate rituals.
Duration: They can take seconds to a couple of hours.
Intent: They have an intention, an end goal, and a magical act.
Examples: Taking a magical bath, divination (like tarot), reciting a spell, meditating, or lighting a candle.
Ritualistic Level: Not very ritualistic; no casting of circles or complex spells.
Rituals:
Definition: More elaborate magical works with structure and specific components.
Duration: Longer than practices due to their complexity.
Purpose: Assist in walking between worlds, raising significant energy.
Components: Often involve casting a circle, calling quarters/elements, and invoking spirits or deities.
Examples: Full moon rituals, spell bottles, transformative magics, protection spells.
Spells:
Definition: Spells consist of words or phrases with a specific intention.
Components: Usually involve words (or emojis) and focus on a desired outcome.
Purpose: To signify, relate, or talk—directing energy toward a goal.

Details in Stan's letter that still haunt me
(how long will I continue thinking about a two page letter that's technically not even that long because Stan's handwriting is fricking large? .....you don't need to worry about that.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The bro code only shows up in the Lost Journal pages, and to me Stan's message feels like it purposely echoes Ford's "miss you" in the college photo (and for some reason the message doesn't appear in the website version of the photo?) ....or alternatively Stan simply noticed how distressed Ford was about this entire thing and wanted to support him in a way so he can be sappy but without the kids knowing, or both!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Stan's claim about the Oregon lottery contradicts what the Lost Legends website said about Tate McGucket's ability to predict the winning numbers!! ...but also breaking into the Lottery HQ is definitely a very Stan thing to do and it's not the first time small gags have been retconned
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Despite spending most of his letter nonchalantly destroying him, the taunt about ripping a dollar bill in half is the only part where Stan is directly responding to Bill. Maybe it's the two of them having similar ways of thinking but it's rather specific considering Bill taunts the reader about it...
And after Bill spends an entire book calling Ford Sixer despite normally using a pretty wide range of nicknames for him, Stan then spends his letter mainly referring to Ford as Sixer, even though post-Weirdmageddon he tends to use a mix of nicknames. And it's not like he'd gotten to see Bill himself for long, let alone see him steal that childhood nickname (that is only used twice in the actual show btw!). Did Ford tell him what happened or...?
With all this and the website's "still on your mind" message, what I'm getting at is my tinfoil hat theory of Stan somehow seeing some of the pages the irl readers saw, even when it should be personalised to the specific reader, and he's been lying about it for some reason. Considering that the book flat out doesn't make an attempt at convincing Soos, I find it a stretch that whatever Bill was telling Stan via the book was an attempt to convince him either.
Wouldn't be the first time Stan's skimmed through a book and lied about what it meant to him.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(...Now I kinda wanna see a story about the family reading their versions of the book and making fun of it while Stan is improvising every single one of his pages and blatantly ignoring Bill's attempts to mock and taunt him)
But also I'm fascinated by the letters that only showed up on the website (aka the Soos+Wendy+McGucket+Pacifica ones). I'm assuming that Mabel had stuck them on after Stan's letter... but they were basically eaten by the book itself because seeing Stan's letter kick-started Bill's breakdown which takes up the rest of the book
#im wearing this tinfoil hat with pride i know something is up!!!!#like three things in one letter??? ...i mean the handwriting is another thing but for another reason that i already mentioned elsewhere#(of course i also love the idea of same coin theory being flat out the reason why stan's perceiving the book differently)#gf meta#stanley pines#stan pines#ford pines#book of bill#bill cipher#also i'm still kinda annoyed that pacifica got a letter over candy and grenda cos like.... she didn't really do anything in w3 lmao#meanwhile grenda literally ripped bill's eye out and the girls were the main ones holding him off!!! give them respect hirsch!!!!#they helped with the unicorn spell!!!! they're an extended part of the group!!!! they saved stan before!! give my girls respect!!!!!!#also some folks are assuming that the 'miss you' message was directed at mcgucket but if it was for him#i feel like it'd be scribbled on the page itself and not be part of college ford notes in the bg (and ford would use a different cipher)#mind you the photo itself is a day after he met mcgucket so there's no reason why ford would direct it at him#they literally just became besties!!!#and this is a ford recently estranged from his brother and is still trying to convince himself he only feels anger towards him#(i saw some saying that ford shared the bro code with mcgucket too and im ??? theres an entire page about him hiding his childhood stuff#i get there's the 'oh disney!!!' easter egg now but ford at that time was pretty touchy about anything regarding stan#(alex saying that if mcgucket had found his stan o war photo ford wouldve lied and#brushed it off as an inspiration to his career in science instead admitting that he's holding onto it cos he misses his twin)#plus he'd show another recent code that wasn't made by literally kids if he really wanted to share one imo#but also j3 is him using them to hide info from mcgucket!!!)#two sides of the same dollar bill#thisisnotawebsitedotcom

Happy Easter! - Donald Duck, Huey, Dewey and Louie Duck and their family and friends at birthday parties (dedicated to Donald's nephews) and Easter celebration - Crossover Disney Ducks, Goof Troop, Looney Tunes and Tiny Toons - Duck comics, Ducktales, Darkwing Duck and Quack Pack - Quack Pack AU - Duckverse - My style - Repost of my Easter-related drawings - Happy birthday to Huey, Dewey and Louie Duck and Happy Easter!
Finally, after eight years, the day has come when all Christians will celebrate Easter on the same day! To all who celebrate, I wish you a Happy Easter! As you know, Easter is celebrated because on that day Jesus Christ, after the third day since he died on the cross, was resurrected from the dead and proved that there is life after death, only faith is needed for that (whoever believes, let someone believe) and most Christians celebrate it, although it depends on the calendar when exactly it is celebrated. If you ask me, don't worry, there will be new drawings related to Easter, but I'm not in a position to finish it right now, so I'll post my collage of my drawings that I did related to Easter that I did last year at a gathering and that related to my favorite characters. One drawing is from two years ago.
On April 15, 1938, the famous trio appeared in the classic Donald Duck short, called “Donald’s Nephews”, which will change the history of the Duckverse in part. On April 17, 1937, Daffy Duck appeared in Porky’s Hunt (classic short) and later became one of the main characters in Looney Tunes. At the same time, Daffy is one of my favorite characters not only in Looney Tunes, but also in cartoons and comics in general. I also love the crazy silly Daffy, and I also love him as a jerk, as both characters suit him. To be brief, these are mostly my drawings that I did last year (one two years ago) related to the birthdays of my favorite characters (Daffy Duck, Huey, Dewey and Louie Duck), as well as related to my favorite holiday, which is Easter. Some are in the classic version, some in the modern version (Quack Pack AU). Also on some of these drawings they applied one traditional Serbian custom for Easter, and that is beating eggs, hitting egg on egg. The one who hits well and leaves that egg undamaged, is the winner. So I put them on this time too. And don't worry, they don't eat eggs, they are mostly artificial eggs. ;) Here are the following characters in my drawings: Daffy Duck, Huey, Dewey and Louie Duck, Donald and Daisy Duck, Melissa Duck (Daffy’s girlfriend), Plucky Duck (Daffy’s student and partly Daffy’s nephew (according to my headcanon)), Shirley the Loon, April, May and June Duck (Daisy’s nieces), Buster Bunny, Babs Bunny, Max Goof, Hampton J. Pig (Porky’s student), Porky Pig, Goofy, Lola Bunny, Bugs Bunny, Grandma Duck (Elvira Coot), Phooey Duck (fourth nephew), Zico and Zeca Carioca (Jose’s nephews), Gosalyn Mallard, Honker Muddlefoot (Darkwing Duck), Webby Vanderquack, Gene the Genie (OG Ducktales), Minima De Spell (Magica’s niece), Sonny Seagull (Garvey Gull), Newton Gearloose (Gyro’s nephew), Dugan Duck (Fethry’s nephew), Shamrock Gander (Gladstone’s nephew), Scrooge McDuck, Magica De Spell, Della Duck, Dickie Duck, Gus Goose, Fethry Duck, Gladstone Gander, Abner Whitewater Duck, Drake Mallard, Launchpad McQuack, Morgana Macawber, Uno Ducklair, Lyla Lay, Kay K, Fenton Crackshell, Gandra Dee, José Carioca-Zé Carioca, Panchito Pistoles, Aracuan Bird, Rosinha Maria Vaz, Nestor, Mad Ducktor, Ludwig von Drake, Flintheart Glomgold, John D. Rockerduck, Jeeves (Lusky), Albert Quackmore Battista, Miss Emily Quackfaster, Little Helper, Gideon McDuck, Brigitta MacBridge, Matilda De Spell, Streghella and Goldie O'Gilt. If you want to know more about these drawings feel free to check out my older drawings in the archive or simply ask me. ;)
I hope you like these drawings, these characters, these versions of me and these ideas of mine and feel free to like and reblog this as much as possible to support my work, just don’t copy these same ideas and versions of these characters without mentioning me. Thanks! I also wish a happy birthday to Daffy Duck, Huey, Dewey and Louie Duck and Magica de Spell and the other characters who celebrate in March and April, and to everyone who celebrates, I wish you a happy Easter!

Endure.
I know you're tired. I know it hurts.
The cracked skull, the goggles,
Her missing anchor.
I know. I know the grief will be hard.
Living will be hard. I know this to be true.
But- Hey, no. Look at me.
Wipe your eyes, look at me.
I'm asking you to endure.
I'm asking you to endure the memories,
To endure the aching in your scars.
The pounding in your head,
The ink staining your clothes.
I'm asking you to be strong, for me.
For her memory. Just her memory.
Look at me. Please, look at me.
Wipe your eyes.
It will be hard without her.
I know, I know. It will be hard to go on.
It will be hard to find purpose.
But we have to.
And- No, look at me. Please.
Believe me, I know. I know you're a monster.
But that doesn't change anything now.
We just need to keep going.
Wipe your eyes. Take my hand.
I'm not asking you to be strong.
I'm asking you to keep living.
Keep remembering, keep growing.
Keep enduring.
It hurts like nothing before, I know.
Stand with me. Walk. Breath, slowly.
Come inside. We have much to do.

All About Ostara
In this context, Ostara is simply the name for the modern pagan celebration of the spring equinox, celebrated in the Northern Hemisphere around March 19th, or by some on the first full moon after the spring equinox. It is considered a Germanic holiday, but we'll talk a little about the different Goddesses associated with the holiday Ostara, as well as the history and where we're at today with our findings.
Unfortunately, there is not much historical text about the holiday Ostara or the associated ancient holiday Eostre, with the earliest known text being from an English monk from the 7th century, Venerable Bede. In his texts, he states that the rough equivalent of the month of April was dedicated to the Goddess Eostre and called Eosturmonath, but that was about all it mentioned.
Monks like Bede back in the day had orders to Christianize pagan traditions in order to slowly convert pagans to Christianity in the least-resistant way, which often meant adopting their festival dates, names of feasts, and whatnot, which was the purpose of mentioning this holiday in his texts in the first place.
Back in the day, the written reoccurant date of Easter had been debated since it began, as the Ressurection date was hard to nail down. Everyone just knew it happened in spring, so different regions celebrated it at different times. But, scholars believe the Christian church most likely saw that there were date overlaps in pagan celebrations, the Ressurection, and Passover as well, and decided to announce Easter Sunday would always fall on the sunday after the first full moon of the spring equinox, following popular pagan lunar traditions. They also adopted the new name from Eostre, cleverly combining the current pagan celebrations around rebirth and the sun into their own holiday traditions, in order to convert people to their religion, while also uniting their own people to celebrate on one date.
Although at one point these were all different celebrations, the Christian church did a very good job of combining and converting the pagan celebrations into their own, enmeshing them for life in history books and making it hard for modern day scholars to distinguish the origins of the pagan holidays seperate from the Christian church's.
After that, the next set of text with a reference to the holiday Ostara or Eostre came over a thousand years later during the Romantic period in 1835, by one of the Grimm brothers, Jacob, while he talked about mythology. In his work, he bridged Eostre with it's Germanic counterpart, Ostera or "Easter" as we know it today, and with the Goddess Ostara. In medieval Germany, they celebrated Ostarun in the month of Ostarmanoth, which gave way to the modern feast of Ostern ("Easter") today. He used these overlaps and more to claim that the two holidays and even Goddesses were most likely one historically
Just like with Grimm, there is mostly just speculation based on language, names, celebrations, etc. In modern-day society, it seems the holidays and Goddesses/Gods of Ostara, Eostre, and Easter have all been mashed up together from bridging multiple pagan religions with Christianity and struggling to seperate it again when we have almost no historical texts to help, since everything way back in the day was based on oral tradition.
As for the Goddess Eostre, who was supposedly a Goddess of fertility and light, she was so rooted in the region surrounding her that it was easier to adopt her namesake for the new Easter holiday (that enmeshed the series of Christian holidays) rather than rebrand under something Christian. According to Bede, her feasting was held in the month of April and celebrated spring. But that's all he mentioned, so her actual traditions have been lost to time, with only speculation to go off of.
After that, Grimm tried to link her with the Goddess Ostara, but we have no historical texts saying she is the same. Nowadays, the only mentions of the Goddess Eostre is with new-age pagan Wiccan practices where they, too, seemed to have linked her with the Goddess Ostara. Historically, it is most likely that the Goddess Eostre is a region-specific Goddess, as she was worshipped in Southeastern England by Anglo-Saxons, and that's where we see the oldest versions of her name referenced in text.
As for the Goddess Ostara, according to Grimm, she seems to have been the more wide-spread form of the Germanic Goddess Eostre, instead of region-specific, and he was the one who first translated her name to Ostara. This is the first historical text we have mentioning Ostara as a Goddess and not just a holiday, which means they (Eostre and Ostara) are technically one in the same, since Grimm was the one who translated the Goddesses name to German in the context that we use today.
In terms of associations with the newly translated Goddess Ostara, the first known reference of rabbits with Ostara in writing was mentioned in a mythology text written by Adolf Holtzmann in 1874 where he related the German tradition of the Easter Hare with Ostara by claiming the symbolism of 'the hare' was also probably sacred to the Goddess.
Afterwards, In 1889, an issue in the Journal of American Notes and Queries talks about the Germanic Tradition of the Easter Hare (gifting cotton stuffed flannel bunnies to children along with Easter eggs) and the story behind it, stating that "The hare was originally a bird, and was changed into a quadruped by the Goddess Ostara; in gratitude to Ostara or Eastre, the hare exercises its original bird function to lay eggs for the Goddess on her festal day." But that is as far as we've gotten in tracing it in texts.
Most likely, oral tradition has reigned supreme throughout history, and different narratives have surfaced about the origins of the symbolism with Ostara and rabbits and eggs and other things, so it's hard to know for certain what is "true" to celebrating the Goddess and holiday Ostara and what isn't.
In summary, based on the limited evidence that we have surrounding history on this holiday and deity(ies), you should feel free to celebrate Ostara in a way that is meaningful to you, especially since there is much overlap with multiple religions and practices. I did my best to round up the most commonly accepted ways to celebrate, the symbolism, and more related to the holiday and Goddess Ostara/Eostre.

I’m going to try to do a few of @black-salt-cage’s 25 Days of Stimmas.
Day 4: Favorite Christmas outfit / skin / look for any character.
Two of my favorites are Jonah Vasquez’s Workaholic Pyjamas and Feng Min’s Workaholic Pyjamas. They are both their Christmas pajamas from the Cozy Break collection in Dead by Daylight! It’s a tie, so I think that doing them both is good. (I even giffed them in their outfits from the Cozy Break trailer!)

Circle Member of the Week: Stephen Herondale
“When he demanded I leave Amatis, the woman I love, and marry Céline, a girl I did not know, I did as he asked, to my everlasting shame… It was not her fault, but mine. Your mother was an innocent from a family that brutalized her: she wanted only kindness, to feel safe and loved. And though my heart had been given already, I loved her, in my fashion, just as in my heart, I was faithful to Amatis.” - Stephen’s letter to his son
Lemme know who you’d like to see next!

Dude, I’m so glad I remembered you asked me to like fill you in, because it’s been like almost a week and I totally forgot.
Okay so! This year! Veterinarian Barbie and Camera Guy Ken (who works for Barbie Land News) won!
We have a Barbie winner and a Ken winner, and we’ve had that since like….I dunno maybe like 40 something years ago. It’s been a while. But it got really boring for all of us Kens that a Barbie won every year.
So we have a Barbie winner and a Ken winner now 😁

Scrooge McDuck and Magica De Spell with kids - Dimeshipping - Happy Late Easter and Happy Mother's Day - Duck comics - Duckverse - Gift for my friend
Even though it passed, I did this for Orthodox Easter as well as for Mother's Day, and certainly so that Magica De Spell would not be neglected since she is the aunt in the comics to Minima, Streghella and Matilda. I did this in my own style and for my friends who love this couple.
Certainly to all who are Orthodox (especially those who celebrate according to the Julian calendar and who celebrate after the Jewish Passover) who live in Palestine, Syria, Egypt, Armenia, Greece, Serbia, Cyprus, Russia, Belarus, Bulgaria, Romania, Georgia, Ukraine, Montenegro, North Macedonia and to all Orthodox people living around the world, I wish you a happy Easter! Christ is risen! Христос васкресе!
If someone asks me, yes, it is celebrated differently among the Orthodox and differently among the Catholics and Protestants, so it turned out to be a completely different Easter this year. Don’t worry, there will be a joint Easter next year. So Orthodox Easter fell on this day. The day he was crucified and died, resurrected and defeated death and the devil and proved that there is eternal life for all of us who believe. Glory to Jesus Christ who died for all of us sinners and rose again for all of us to save us!
Yes, Scrooge and Magica are usually enemies, but in some cases they are very much together, even though they do not show love to each other, and their quarrel reminds me a lot of the relationship between Donald and Daisy. And since I made drawings related to Dimeshipping before, I drew the same, but as an Easter version, and related to Mother's Day. Yes, Magica is a bad parent in some ways, but there are still moments in the comics (Italian comics) where she treats her nieces well, especially Minima De Spell and Streghella De Spell, and then there's her younger cousin Matilla De Spell. On the other hand there is Scrooge with Donald's nephews Huey, Dewey and Louie Duck who often accompany Scrooge on adventures. Well, certainly Scrooge and Magica with children make a good family, at least in my opinion. And then there's Ratface, who's dressed as the Easter Bunny. Poor him, Minima is to blame for that. And that I love, this couple, so don't blame me for that.
I hope you like this drawing and support this couple and this family and feel free to like and reblog this, and please don't copy these same ideas without mentioning me! Happy Easter and Mother's Day! This is definitely my gift for lovers of this couple, as well as for my friends @monkey-li @monkey-li-reblogs and @okaystoptellingmetomakeanaccount and I hope you like this gift for you! :D
