Shout-out to the Hollow Knight Dreamers for having to live through what might be the worst kind of immortality in the worst sort of situation with the worst coworkers.

Each individual Dreamer was already going to experience hell to some extent, but then the Pale King had to go and make them have to put up with EACH OTHER on top of it all. It'd honestly be better if they were straight up bonkers, but instead they're all just BARELY sane enough in diametrically different ways, for maximum opportunities to get on each other's nerves. And the plan was for them to be trapped like that FOREVER. And because they're all so loyal to their individual causes, they can't even be happy when the Knight starts hunting them down to RELEASE them. Even Monomon, who thinks the seals should eventually break and manipulates events to bring such an occurrence about, views it as the lesser of two evils and isn't particularly satisfied with the outcome.

Even when one of the Pale King's plans actually sort of works for once, he still ruins everything.

I need to do a research paper on the correlation between me taking a chemistry class and me drawing Finn being sad

still shocked by how ugly the werewolf vander design is. if he was designed by someone whose a fan of werewolves its someone whose enjoyment of werewolves really differs from mine lol. like yeah its got ‘wolf-man’ stuff but that was never really wolfish even if it has its place in the historical werewolf canon it’s always got shit for not ‘looking like a werewolf’. he has like every design cue that werewolf fans typically HATE. he doesn’t have a tail, he’s flat faced, he has elf ears, his body hair pattern isn’t consistent. what about this is even wolfish, he just looks like a troll. it’s not the WORST one i’ve ever seen (the completely hairless ones still take the cake i think..) but it’s certainly not the best. my dream is that if his mind is healed his body will be werewolfified more

Well guess who's officially applied to Erasmus. I'm not even fully done uploading all relevant documents and I'm already kinda regretting it. I will HATE myself for this next winter.

I'm not really doing it for the courses (they all somehow seem easier than what mine is offering) but for the french, but it'd be awkward if I misjudged things completely and this is all worthless to my degree because I already learned it in the bac.

#on the other hand - easy classes means more free time. not an experience I've ever had during the semester #I'm also stupidly paranoid bc I'll be Old Tm (a whopping 24) by that time (still younger than most ppl in my degree bc school system)#but the french system seems like it's more doing the schoolish thing where most ppl manage in min time (very rare here) and are thus younge #at least my first ranked place seems like that. “institute of applied sciences” is not “university of technology” after all #personal #erasmus

People hate me because I constantly go into any learning opportunity with the goal of learning the rules with the express purpose of ignoring the ones I deem unnecessary.

Baking? Just throw that stuff together. I know how the ingredients interact, so I don’t need to measure. I go by taste and smell more than anything.

Sewing? I don’t iron between steps unless it’s really intricate like a quilt. I also eyeball measurements way more than is strictly reasonable.

Painting? My art teacher only taught me hyperrealism and I’ve rejected it so now I just kinda slap that stuff on there.

Writing? Don’t even get me started. I couldn’t diagram a sentence if my life depended on it. Mostly because I thought it was boring.

#in hindsight this is why I wasn’t great at science in highschool #I can’t make an experiment that’s easy to replicate #everything is just improv and it’s funny

okay i did a little bit of looking into grad programs, i spent 45ish minutes poking around a bit and im still stressed and overwhelmed but at least i have a sort of starting point now…

#also i think instead of a clinical pharmacist i might wanna go towards pharmacologist instead #bc i’m less interested in patient contact and more interested in the science itself #so yeah ;;;;; and i think i found a program that would work really really well for me #bc it’ll allow me to get experience in a couple of different fields before i commit to one study #and that’s huuuuge for me #it’s probably insanely competitive tho it’s one of the top schools in the nation for graduate research from what i could tell #and i don’t have much of the research or work experience yet;;; and i’d need to apply by december #so unless this next semester is shockingly easy (not gonna happen) i could maybe do some shadowing or interning or volunteering #at the hospitals or whatever #even tho that’s not what i wanna do lol and it just sounds like a chore to be honest #but if it makes me a better candidate ….

The philosophy of science and mathematics has been a real game changer for the direction of my life in all honesty

#my ramblings #it's incredible stuff since i love concepts in the sciences (especially physics) and mathematics #however i personally cannot handle being a scientist or mathematican (i commend everyone who is one though!)#on the other hand (from my experience) fellow literature majors (i double major) are generally less favorable towards mathematics #anecdote: one of my writing professors asked “who here likes math” and i was one of the few people who raised their hand #which that's fine but i really love more mathematical readings of works (especially science fiction!!) but that's kinda hard to talk about #it's easy with hard sci-fi and mathematical literature but it might be fun exploring science and mathematics in other works #hey! that's a fun project idea for me in spare time! might be fun to apply game theory to espionage literature and films

the funny thing about reading stuff for school is i realize that i don't think i would've enjoyed being a scientist, because i dislike designing experiments

#the reason this is funny is because it's readings for a library science degree #and like.... there are certainly elements of the field that are very heavily science-leaning but it's also easy to avoid those elements #if you so choose #anyway reading about an experiment to utilize personas in order to improve user interfaces regarding geospatial research data?#which going into the article i only understand 'user interfaces' in an academic sense (obviously i know personas in a gaming sense haha)#and they don't actually seem to be defining geospatial research which is....... fun #long story short they outlined their whole process (including initial data collection to properly set up the experiment)#and i just immediately recoiled from the entire concept of doing anything like that ahahahaha
