This entire time you've been blowing us off!" Terry shouted. "At least Dick was the one who picked us up at the station, because if we had found our way to you, I'm sure you would've just sent us on our way like a couple of stupid kids, huh?" "Listen-" "No, you listen. You may not like the fact that I'm Batman, but in the future, in my dimension. I'm the only thing you have left. I'm one of the only things Gotham has left protecting it. You're putting a Gotham in danger right now because Batman isn't there." He sneered.

I FINISHED MY FIRST ANIMATIC THAT I'VE BEEN WORKING ON FOR UUUHHHHHH A WHIIILE!!!

After doodling storyboard ideas over the years and not doing anything with them, I was inspired by Outer Wilds to sit down and actually finish one for once (thank yoouuu Outer Wilds!).

I started storyboarding this not too long after I finished the game (that was months ago now oh wow). I got to go back through the game to take screenshots for reference and it was suuuper fun to do. I've got a couple more Outer Wilds animatics I wanna do so mwehehehehe

Terry gripped his backpack. If he managed to sneak away through all the chaos, then he could put on the Batsuit- The ceiling above shakes again. The fluorescent lights that hang onto it to give the lab a more 'sophisticated' feel swing cautiously. They give an ominous groan and Terry, without even thinking about it, pulls Dana away from it on the spot. A hole bursts open and contents of debris from the floor above spilled onto the ground before them. "Remind me to never go on a field trip again." Terry sighs. "Agreed." says Dana. The mess from the floor above had separated the group from their intern guide. If Terry could save him, he could make an escape and change into the suit in the same breath. The building was starting to come down on them and there had to be people on the rest of the floors who hadn't been able to evacuate. It would give everyone a scare disappearing like that, but he had no comms to contact Bruce, and with that there came no back up. Terry and Dana turned to each other at the same time. "You have a plan?" Dana questioned. Terry had no idea how his girlfriend was able to pick out his thoughts out like that. Sometimes it freaked him out, but it made things easier too. While she was frustrated with his odd disappearances, lackluster excuses and constant bailing on plans last minute, it was clear Dana knew whatever he was up to was important, even if it wasn't tending to Wayne's 'demanding' regime. Sometimes Terry stared at her, knowing that the Batsuit was hiding in his bag, or that he was wearing it like a second skin and wished he could tell her he was Batman. But then, Dana would be a liability. Bruce always warned against it. He had already been furious when Max had managed to figure it out. Terry scoffed lightly. "I do have a plan." He admitted, eyes flickering to worried classmates behind them. Their rose-tinted glasses painted an odd picture of Neo Gotham, 'nothing ever happened.' Clearly they didn't check the news enough. "I'll meet you outside? By the buses?" Dana smirked. "If they don't send us straight home first." She gave him a peck of a kiss before letting go. "Be safe. For real."

Canon Divergence AU: Paddy gave the Claddagh ring to Eoin as a friendship gift back in Ireland, and Eoin kept it during and after the war despite their falling out (because they were both stupid and emotionally compromised). They eventually reconcile, but after a while, Paddy notices that the ring has changed its placement - and he promptly loses his mind, while Eoin is stoically silent about it.

Firstly, I just wanna say how much i've loved your comics and how they have filled my outer wilds shaped hole in my heart after I completed the game. It means a lot to me.

Secondly, I just wanted to ask about how the stranger would work in your Post-Nova AU? Would the hatchling want to try to rescue the prisoner from their captivity by trying to take access of the simulation?

So, in this AU, while all Hearthians remember watching the supernova exploding, everything reappeared in the new universe the same way Hatchy woke up every new loops (the interloper is intact, the sun station too, the canon exploded), Because of that, the stranger is back in the solar system.

It also means that the dam didn't break, and the stranger is no longer leaving the solar system. outer Wilds Ventures is now free to explore it without any consequences.

Now, unlike Solanum, the Prisoner cannot be saved. He's still trapped in their prison. It will be up to the Hatchling to free him, this time without having to die to access him. Thankfully this time they will have all the time, and probably the tools, to do it. Feldspar will probably tag along, they can't ignore an unexplored place in their solar system!
