D-does Casa Tidmouth have a happy ending, or something close to it? Or are you just, trapping the characters in a metaphorical maze forcing them to complete tasks to be feed, only for the food to be poisoned and they all die slow and painfully?

casa tidmouth does have a hopeful ending. the characters went through a lot of stuff both before and during the story, they were quite awful to one other but gradually got better even though they often slip and fall into bad habits again, and since a theme of the story is that people have the ability to change if they desire to change, it would be unsatisfactory if things ended on a bad note. also I feel like a lot of cstm viewers (also me) relate to these complicated characters and I want to send them a hopeful, maybe good message

Donkeys and doves… very interesting!

Why those animals for the dimensional counterparts?

A couple reasons! A.) it's a bit of a nod to the role donkeys and doves have in magic acts/stage performance/circuses and such, plus it shouts out performapal friendonkey and secondonkey, both whom i love very much

B.) sometimes with my furry AUs i 'work backwards' a bit wrt species assignments for groups of related/associated characters--i knew i wanted to make yuya a donkey because of the aforementioned reasons, so from there i was like "ok so let's make the other yuboys other donkey species to play with the 'getting mistaken for each other' thing and also it's very silly" and so here we are lol. but ALSO the african wild ass has zebra stripe legs which remind me of Clear Wing, hence why that's Yugo :^)

with the girls I really liked the idea of pigeon!Rin, so from there I started looking into dove species and, well, so many of them compliment the girls' existing color palettes, it just works really well! And it translates well to Ray being an archeoptyrx, the sort of "ancestor" to the modern bird (the common donkey is also a descendant of the Nubian wild ass, so there's that connection too)

and also C.) i love drawing equines and i think donkeys are cute ❤ and doves are also really cute ❤❤❤

Sorry if these questions comes off as unoriginal, but what mainly inspired your art style, and how did you come up with ideas for your stories (in the sense of a general outline of the plot and coming up with loose story beats)

Whenever you get a story idea, do you think of the characters first, the setting first, or the actual plot first?

thank you ^_^ to be honest a lot of my stories started off as AUs of pre existing stories (children's heterotopia, crimson paradise) but then after a few weeks I turn them into their own things and give the stories a huge overhaul. while the other stories just naturally came to me (golden ichor, symphofanta, achtung baby) like.... Hey wouldnt it be messed up if you still have human-like struggles even though you're now technically dead? or for lighter ones, Hey I feel like writing a romcom between an alien and a human that's almost like a parody of cheesy YA stories and industry plant isekai animes.... something like that

I usually think of the characters first because laying out a set of characters, then creating the world they live in, then doing some writing to make them fit, makes storytelling much easier for me. the best I can say is that I like to play with parallels and cause-effect and make sure my main cast isn't one dimensional or Just There. take CH for example -- a character has a twin that works for the mafia that exchanges intel with her, another used to be cellmates with someone from a strong organization and they've been watching her for a long time, another was the childhood friend of one of the big bads of said mafia, etc etc. and they all live in 1950s california from a timeline that kind of deviates from ours. so then the actual plot comes in last because many of my stories are character-driven. the characters impact how the story goes, and they also impact each others' character development. that's why despite each story having the supposed main characters, I prefer focusing on the main cast equally because they have their own stories to tell too (this has been tons of fun considering the workplace buddies dynamic the sunset tribune of children's heterotopia has)!

as for art inspirations I've always been a big fan of works from authors such as shirahama kamome (witch hat atelier), naoki urasawa (monster, pluto, 20th century boys), and tatsuki fujimoto (chainsaw man). I think reading blue period by tsubasa yamaguchi years ago impacted the way I draw faces too. their writing styles are also very dear to me. there's also a lot of other artists I would mention but the list will be so so long!!! ultimately, I learn a little piece of something with every story I read, whether it's the writing, drawing facial expressions, angles, show-don't-tell imagery, etc.

I want a relationship that is completely undefinable by any existing labels or words. Why I like them/why I don’t: TRULY ONE OF THE REALEST ONES axel really carries like a solid half of season 3 on his shoulders and then comes back swinging with the Angst Agonies in season 4 like HE DOES IT ALL. HE'S JUST A RELIABLE DETERMINED GUY WHO WANTS TO FIGHT FOR GOOD. AND his duel disk is a fucking GUN.

What I like about their appearance: i love his eyelashes, theyre a more subtle detail but theyre very charming. Also it's just always a small miracle to see a black anime character whose design isnt Um. Questionable. All Things Considered (looks at girag 8| )

Do I prefer their dub names or original names? i like axel brodie and austin o'brien probably about the same! it's just nice to see him mentioned regardless of name choice.

OTP: again, he and jim are married in my brain for all intents and purposes. they did Not go through all that in The Duel Monster War Zone to not have a little gay thing going on.

Why I like them/why I don’t: anna rules so fucking hard...like most zexal girls i wish the show did more with her but just like. the sheer concept of a yugioh girl whose deck isnt full of cards that are solely Pretty Lady but instead GIANT TRAINS and RAILGUNS is so obscenely kickass im so glad she exists. i love that shes tough and pushy and overconfident!!! LET YUGIOH GIRLS BE A LITTLE MEAN!!!
