My main custom solitaire game themes

#I use 'cat theme' like 90% of the time but every once in a while I feel more like whimsical snow bubbles or so on and so forth lol #Though I dislike that there's no way to preview every custom element of a theme at once. I had to take seperate screenshots #of the back of cards and then edit them into these (in mspaint.. so they're not all lined up lol)#It would be even more effort if I actually changed all the available options. Really I only change the background. the back of the card dec #and all of the Ace cards. But you can also set custom images for all Jacks Kings and Queens if you want.#So I just had to find a game where I could lay out all aces to show the custom images. But I don't know if there'd even be a way to lay out #all A K J Q cards simultaneously. so if I wanted to show all of those custom I'd have to take individual pictures of each one and edit them #together lol.. They have a 'preview theme' board but it just looks like a normal game. I thnk the 'preview' should be all customized #cards laid out so you can actually see them all together.#Also I still find it kind of funny how I generally trend towards really liking aesthetics that are kind of ''cutesy'' ''happy''#''childish'' etc. despite simultaneously being like the least 'cutesy' person I know. In the sense of being generally extremely serious #blunt critical/analytical data loving ''joykill'' with a flat emotional range that comes off as robotically cold and aloof lmao #Also a lot of ''cute'' acting kind of irks me (like squeaky voices can be grating (I think because sometimes people do a high BREAtHY voi #ce and breathy voices freak me out since it sounds similar to whispering and I hAAATE whispers (I have whatever the opposite of #people who like ASMR have like.. whispers and mouth noises are viscerally upsetting sounding to me and make me physically recoil lol)) and #etc. etc. And I really value practicality and efficiency so I am definitely NOT tolerant of the 'cute incompetence' thing ('ouuwww i #such a weak little babey... can you open this for me?? Being so strictly practically focused is just literally less fun. Like ignorance really is bliss. But I would #sincerely rather be completely miserable yet have an accurate view of things than be happy but misinformed. Like I value truth and #rationality over pretty much anything else in the entire world. I also don't do drugs or alcohol - and due to flatness of emotional range #do not recieve 'positive brain chemicals' or whatever from the typical things (going out to eat. attending a party. dancing. etc.) so #most of the common methods people use for Coping With The Harsh Truths Of The World don't actually work on me. All I have left #when undergoing existential crises or chronic fear is like.. er.. well I should make the environment around me as comfy cozy as possible #at least lol... Oh cutesy kitten stuffed animal we are really in it now . so on LOL #Gods most Permanently Serious warriors must have at least one extremely unserious hobby or stuffed animal collection to keep them thriving

When Leto finally finds out about Jusenkyo and decides to make use of it she quickly comes to the conclusion that going there to restock every time she ran out (not to mention keeping which water came from which spring sorted) would be impractical at best, so she decides to just replicate the properties of cursed spring water with her considerable mastery of water-related programming.

Unfortunately, something seems to have been lost in translation between Bullshit Slapstick Anime Magic and Code, so her curses aren't as effective. She still can curse someone, but unless she puts her full focus on it the curse is temporary, only good for one or two transformations before wearing off. And it doesn't work at all on anyone who already has a Jusenkyo curse, which she learns the hard way when she tries and fails to turn Ranma into a monkey. She ends up having to give Kuno (who showed up and annoyed everyone as is typical of him) the curse of the Spring of Drowned Platypus. Yes it's specifically a Phineas and Ferb style platypus because funny

(doing that has effects she won't realize for some time. remember how non-game media has a harder time coming to life and deviations from the script tend to make things unstable? The presence and interference of Leto and her allies hasn't been too disruptive up until now both because the server is in a post-series state and because a bunch of ridiculous new adversaries showing up to Cause Problems on Purpose Specifically for Ranma is pretty on-point for the series' formula. On the other hand, introducing a new Jusenkyo curse to the main cast -and particularly applying it to one of the very few people to not even know about Jusenkyo (even though by all logic he really should by now, but the Kuno family doesn't subscribe to logic much)- is a pretty massive shake-up of the status quo. one that, unbeknownst to anyone currently involved, leaves a few cracks in the world's foundation...)

We're back at 'banging my head against the wall' for CS Chapter 10. I'm still standing by the fact that I'll get it posted before the end of the month, but we're probably looking at the 31st lol.

#maybe I need to step back and try another angle.#I've been SO set on a specific scene for 10 for literal months now but I just can't get to it in a natural way.#it's one of those roadblocks where I know it'll be smooth sailing for a while afterwards. I just need to power through this one block.#and maybe that means trying a new route entirely to get there.#I try to never share wip stuff unless I know it'll be in the final product but I might have to walk back on the wip wednesday snippet.#we'll see.#That's the thing. I have Chasing Sunsets planned out in the sense that I know the stops along the way and I have for a long time now #but how we get to them is the hard part.#it really does feel like planning a road trip. I've got all the pins on the map but now I need to triangulate roads and rest stops #and efficient routes vs scenic routes. and right now we're rerouting because of a pile-up on I40.#when this fic is over I should give you guys what will inevitably be a 30k document of deleted/cut scenes that didn't work.#there's some good stuff in there that just didn't make it.

You may say to yourself things such as "wow, mantis god, you seem really behind for bugtober this year", and you would be right, but what you can't see behind the scenes is that we are actually being surprisingly productive in the hours of the day that are not dedicated to school, it's just that some months ago we happen to have thought to ourself "well, we enjoy learning things, so maybe we should take a hack at school since the grant is decent, get some actual certification on our resume so we can get a real job" and then forgot that the reason we don't already have official certification is because formal schooling historically has had worse effects on our overall mental health than almost literally anything else in our life, and now that's eating 4-6 hours of our life per day with an extra few hours of recovery after which makes it unfortunately difficult to work on art.

#we speak #negative chatter #we are saying “almost literally” because of common or garden memory loss btw. it is possible something was worse #but if so it no longer exists in our memory and that actively gets worse under stress so it'll be a few months before we can remember #the stuff leading up to it this time definitely didn't help but god nothing to get us Getting Worse like formal schooling #our whumptober pre-writing and planning weighs in at more than 45k words right now #and we are unfortunately aware that the reason we are struggling to finish in a timely manner #is because something like sixty percent of our mental real estate has been forcibly dedicated to keeping us alive #which as we're sure you can understand is unfortunately not very efficient for artistic endeavors #anyways something something long road of reminders of why we have been Unemployed for so long

you should kill yourself if you spend 12 minutes sorting around your notes on your desk, making sure they look messy but also the prettiest ones are on top, posing your textbook open and having the most "academia" looking web page or lecture slides on your laptop screen before taking a picture and posting it on your social media story while quietly scrolling through songs to put with it.

The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) Staffers Have Backgrounds In Engineering, Law, Finance, Human Resources And Real Estate, And They Have Often Been Assigned To Specific Agencies.

The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) Allies Are Associates of Mr. Musk And Others Who Have Helped Carry Out The Team's Work.

Mr. Musk's team has taken aim at more than 20 agencies while gaining access to sensitive government data systems. But the full extent of its reach or ambitions is unclear.

Much of the team's operations are opaque, and most of its personnel have not been disclosed by the Trump administration, and it is unclear exactly how large the operation is. Through executive order, President Trump moved the team from the Office of Management and Budget, where it had been housed as the United States Digital Service since its founding, into the White House — a transition that effectively shielded its work from open records laws that could give the public insight into its operations.

The list below includes some of Mr. Musk's allies; engineers - many of whom are young men - with backgrounds in artificial intelligence; former employees; and others who have helped the operation. Several have recently deleted their social media accounts after their names appeared in news reports.

The Times attempted to contact each DOGE staffer on this list through a combination of verified email addresses and social media accounts. For those without known contact information, Times reporters tried to reach them by sending emails to a name and address pattern consistent with other known email addresses. No one returned the Times's requests for comment.
