reposting this because it flopped hard last time and i was really pleased with how it came out

i also wanted to take a moment to lament for how much i loved this character and what he meant to me and so many others as we grieve for him once again

thinking of all the post-finale ways Tech could return, and i actually love the idea of him having been in stasis/carbonite somewhere for like 15 years (pirates? Tarkin? backup Mount Tantiss labs? the possibilities are endless), only to be rescued by Rebellion Pilot Omega.

But here's the thing: once he's unfrozen, he and Omega are now the same age. it would be so interesting to see how he deals with the fact that he missed her childhood, his baby sister is very suddenly all grown up, and his brothers, who were essentially his twins, have now aged about 30 years in his absence. he notices that Omega, years and years after his supposed death, still hangs onto his broken goggles and realizes just how much his family grieved his loss.

how would Tech emotionally handle all of this? i think this would be a cool way for them to bring Tech back, and also not take away from the narrative impact of his sacrifice. his family still lived all those years without him, believing he'd never return. i also just really want to see Chaotic Genius Rebellion Pilots Tech and Omega, the Empire's absolute worst nightmare.

Update; I got back into working on charms today!

I had a busy last week or two and hadn’t really had a chance or the energy to start drawing this once since i finished Ayda, for reasons that frankly are a bit boring to go into detail about here, but I’m excited to get back into the swing of things now!

I’m really quite happy with his wings so far, i think i figured out a good method for drawing them >:3

Flowpage (like linktree) took down my page and locked me out of my account for "violating community guidelines" without warning or even alerting me, though I've done nothing of the sort. so so so badly i want something similar to one of your fire drake plushes. when you open commissions again, what are your ideals for references in order to make a modified version of it?

the firedrakes are a special case because they are based on my lovely friends project @draconesmundi. So any design heavily inspired by hers would need an approval from her personally first!

otherwise if you´re just looking for a chunky dragon with a similar shape feel free to use any photos on my website as reference. easiest for commissions is a clean sideview + maybe a top and bottom view. If you want me to directly base it on a certain pattern you can absolutely trace over my plush photos for commission refs aswell. just credit me if you post the ref anywhere!

my comissions do include a concept stage tho. so even less specific refs are absolutely fine. I will basically supply you a sketch of the plush in my style with design notes and we can work through any changes and ideas before i actually start work on the plush!

Is Omega going to leave the Batch?

SPOILERS

Of course my brain goes into TBB analysis mode when I'm supposed to be doing important stuff, but let's hope I can keep this short.

The ending of TBB has been described as bittersweet, and I wonder, following the context of the most recent episode, if this means that we're going to see Omega go her own way in order to be trained (assuming she has a high M-count). It would be very reminiscent of the bittersweet ending to Mando S2.

And it would make sense. Over the course of the show, we've seen Omega become more independent and more capable of looking after herself. We've also seen the likes of people like Hunter coming to terms with the fact that she is slowly growing more independent from him: not completely moving away from him, but starting to bond with other people and find a place that isn't just following Hunter.

And I think it would be interesting to see her utilise her skills away from the Batch. She's learnt something from all of them and we've seen her take after them, including Crosshair and Echo. She's learnt from the whole group and maybe that means that at some point she may choose to take her own path. It seems more consistent with a bittersweet ending than one of the Batch dying because I'd qualify that more as straight up depressing. (I also don't want it to be a case that she goes off to train after everyone else dies). We know the Empire won't be defeated, and with it being called into question whether or not the Batch are going to be able to keep her completely safe, I can see her leaving to be trained being an option (especially with her learning about connecting with the force from Ventress and Gungi).

I'm not saying this with 100% confidence though. I'm not putting this down as my definite prediction for the ending of the show, but I can see it as an option that makes sense with what we've seen before. Would I necessarily enjoy it as an ending? I don't know. I think I'd need to see it/think about it more to work that would. But I think it could happen.

kinda both?? i checked out of drawing rgg (not including a zine i agreed to be a part of) maybe like..... september: i drew a bit of it during september but kinda checked out back in july. was kinda just wringing out the rest of my interest in drawing it at that point/living in denial that i was moving on from drawing rgg

as for commissions, i think it's more of a matter that my slots nowadays get taken up too quickly by non-rgg comms for me to take rgg comms 💀
