A/N: Hello everyoneeee!!! As promised, here is part 2 of Reunited!! I will be making more parts however it won’t be like a fic, more like a combination of scenarios, headcanons, etc. If you have any questions or thoughts on this AU, my ask box is always open and so are my comments. My taglist is also open! If you’d like to be added, lmk! Please make sure I can tag your account first though. May sound silly but I couldn’t tag some people because they had tagging disabled. If you were one of the people who asked to be tagged but wasn’t, please change that in Tumblr settings :) Anyway, this kinda gave yandereish vibes at the end??? If you want me to turn it into that or write a spin off where Sukuna is a Yandere for reader, lmk in the comments 💗 Anywho, happy reading and I hope you all enjoy this as much as you all did in part 1 <333
————————————
“You are to be monitored by me at all times! If you get caught walking around by yourself well…I will either get an earful from the old hags at the top or they’ll have both of our heads, no in between!” Gojo Satoru tells you in a tone way too cheerful for what he was telling you.
“What? Why? I don’t even have any cursed energy, I’m just a regular human, I’m not some powerful sorcerer.”
“That is exactly why. We’re keeping your presence under the radar for now, but as soon as it inevitably slips out that you’re back and so is Sukuna, so will immediately become a target.”
“That’s not true. ‘Kuna may not be back to his full power, however he is still strong. No curses and sorcerer’s alike would dare hurt someone so close to the King of Curses.”
“While you may be right that he’s powerful even though Sukuna isn’t at his full potential, your ‘Kuna’ currently has the power of one of his fingers and is stuck in a fifteen year old boys body. He could easily be evaded by fellow special grade curses and curse users. Please realise this is for your safety.”
This doesn’t make sense to you. Yes, he’s not at his full power, but it’s not like you’ll be leaving Jujutsu Tech anyway. After all, you don’t go on missions, you’re not a Jujutsu Sorcerer and you will never have a chance to — not that you want to anyway. So logistically there is no need for your protection. Are they worried sorcerers might attack you? That’s surely a fault in the system of their schooling and society if they’re scared of that. Or maybe…they don’t trust you?
“They want me dead because of my relation to ‘Kuna, don’t they?” Gojo’s deafening silence answers your question. “Why?”
“Because they’re afraid that there’s a possibility you’re hiding a powerful technique from us. I personally don’t believe you are deceiving us, but even if you were, I’d be able to stop you anyway. So don’t be become all cocky with delusion. Thinking you can defeat me.” He grins.
“Mhm, well…thank you then.”
“Hm?”
“Thank you for believing in me,” You shakily sigh. “I’m happy to know someone is willing to stand up for me.”
“Of course! I would get a mopey Yuji if you died, and who knows how Sukuna would react, but I know for a fact it would not end well. Talking of Yuji and Sukuna, we should go check on them now!”
That’s right. Itadori has recently been announced as dead, however it seems Itadori must have made some sort of pact with Sukuna to revive him. You and Gojo, along with a few others at Jujutsu Tech, are the only people who know he’s alive. Gojo seems to take this opportunity to train Itadori well, and what that truly means is most of the time he conducts experiments that mainly consist of Gojo purposely annoying Sukuna to see how Itadori’s body would react. Most experiments involved you in some way — he found Sukuna’s threats very amusing, but what he found even more amusing is your ability to make the King of Curses sulk for a day by simply lightly reprimanding him for these threats.
“‘Kuna! That is no way to talk to someone. He just wanted a hug.”
“Yeah ‘Kunaaaa. I just wanted a hug.”
“Gojo-Sensei, please. Stop angering him. It’s getting harder and harder to suppress him.”
“This is exactly why I’m doing this! To help you learn how to suppress Sukuna, no matter the circumstances.” Gojo explains. While that may be partly true, Itadori knows that’s a lie. He’s doing this because it’s funny to him.
“You better watch it, Sorcerer scum,” Sukuna grits. “May I remind you that when I make this idiots body my own, I’m killing you first.”
“‘Kuna!” You scowl, hugging Gojo tighter to Sukuna’s dismay. Gojo flashes a shit-eating-grin Sukuna’s way for one last time and lets go of you.
“Thank you, Sensei. I wasn’t sure how much longer I could suppress him for.” Itadori sighs. You sit down next to him and give him a warm hug, rubbing circles on his back. Itadori looks up at you with warm eyes as you press a kiss to his forehead. You always bring the mummy issues out of him.
Meanwhile, in Sukuna’s domain, Sukuna is looking at you through Itadori’s eyes and he can’t help but marvel at you. You’re even more beautiful than he remembers, and you’re so unbelievably near. He wishes he could take his vessel’s place, return to his former glory with you by his side, but that will have to wait.
He will return to his former glory and you will be at his side when that happens. But above all else, what makes his wait all the more worth it, is the world he plans to create will be perfect for you and him. You wouldn’t need to worry about any disgusting sorcerers killing him and sealing you again.
Even if you hate him for killing the sorcerers, he can live with that. As long as you still love him, and stay by his side, he can deal with that.

I can't handle how cute this is. i want a slime pet too
Link to the Tweets. And here's a link to the study. ID in alt text and below the readmore.
Image 1:
tweet by e. @MelytraMithra reading "oh my goddddd
researchers built a smartwatch heart beat monitor that uses a slime mold for its operation. the slime mold has to be fed and cared for, so the users in the trial… developed an emotional attachment to it [two sobbing emojis]"
The Tweet includes a screenshot from the paper, described in next image.
Image 2:
The tweet's screenshot, which reads:
Developing a connection.
All participants expressed various feelings of connection with our device. P1, P2, P4, and P5 all described it as a little friend and/or pet. P2 expressed, “it’s always good to be accompanied by some living creature, I really like different, animals or plants. (. . .) carrying this little friend also made me feel happy and peaceful”. P4 noted that she would be reminded by the slime mold’s presence by its smell, even stating that it felt endearing, “my cat’s kind of have a smell, dogs have a smell, the physarum, I recognize the smell and it smells kind of, organic, it’s kind of yeasty but not like decaying, it smells alive”. In recalling an experience where she had to take a long drive, P4 explained, “oh, I gotta bring my little pet mold friend, during the drive, I was also thinking about how I used to be really into Tamagotchis (. . .) with the physarum, (. . .) it has this smell to it which your Tamagotchis don’t have, it has a sense of physicality, (. . .) they’re definitely different”. P1 stated that their personal care routine ended up linked to the device’s care routine “I think every time I fed myself is when I would remember to at least check it, I think that was actually quite linked”. While she was sick, P5’s partner helped take care of her as well as helped to take care of her device. P5 recounts, “I was taking care of the slime and feeding it oats and stuff, my partner was also feeding me oatmeal because I was sick and so she was like you’re my little slime and I was like yeah, I am (. . .) then she started calling me her slime because I mean me and the slime, like, we were eating the same stuff, (. . .) we were both being fed and watered”. P2 & P4 also stated that the visual appearance of their device affected their mood. P2 explained that growth made them feel refreshed. P4 associated the bright yellow of the physarum with happy feelings, noting this affective quality several times in her diary entries and in her interview.
Image 3: A reply tweet from the original tweeter reading "well nourished. in my lane. lively. growing." There's a photoset from the study described as "a slime mold oscillating between living and dormant stages." There are four images of the slime mold, which is a yellow color. The first shows it "dried / dormant / not growing." Second shows it "water added / resuscitated / growing." Third shows the slime "well nourished / lively / growing." The fourth shows it once again "dried / dormant / not growing."

Scripting: The Internet, and Technology
* The internet is a friendlier, more sensible place.
* Social media companies actively do something about bots, trolls, racists, sexists, etc and they get punished.
* Cringe culture is dead.
* Ads and sponsorships are not aggressively pushed to users.
* Ads cannot be implied sexual, explicit, political, promote gambling, or other harmful behaviors.
* Companies do not sell your data, and if they do, they punished way more harshly and face consequences.
* Privacy in general is taken more seriously.
* Minors have safe spaces to be online that are educational and/or fun.
* Minor and adult spaces are kept seperated, and childrens online activity is monitored more seriously by parents.
* Internet safety is taught in all schools.
* Shoving electronics, and online media in front of children is looked down upon
* No AI slop, no NFTs, no silicone valley bullshit, or cryptocurrencies, and they are all highly scrutinized.
* Mr. Beast does not exist.
* "Clout chasing" is looked down upon.
* Companies cannot raise prices on you or simply change the terms of service on its users.
* Companies cannot interfer with "password sharing".
* Companies cannot put "you cant sue us, no class action lawsuits" in their terms of agreement.
* The FCC is much faster and efficient in handing out punishments to shady companies.
* Black people have their own safe spaces, and social medias.
* AAVE isn't called internet slang and is used only by black people.
* Companies cannot automatically "opt-in" users to certain features.
* Companies cannot just "sell you a license to use" or tell you what to do with a product you own. If you bought it, you own it.
* Companies cannot change terms of service to take advantage of countries with looser privacy laws.
* Companies do not copy each other (like Tiktok, Insta Reels, Youtube "Shorts".)
* Companies cannot put spyware, and useless bloat on your device.
* Unless its an MMO, or multiplayer, or live service: games do not need to have wifi in order to work.
* Companies need to have end of life plans for games, and cannot outright kill a game when they don't want to support it anymore.
* Companies release roms for games they're no longer supporting.
* Nintendo doesnt have a biblical amount of greed.
* Games have both a physical and digital copies.
* You do not have to repurchase any videogame for different platforms, they can be transferred over.
* Companies cannot push alt-right propaganda to people, and known altright grifters get banned.
* (Might just script out algorithms entirely): No algorithms, no "for you" sections. You have to curate your own experience online following the people and tags you want to see and blocking/ignoring the things you don't. (Like Tumblr) Your internet experience is YOUR responsiblity.
* Companies cannot show you ads on anything you have to pay for. Ever.
* Any and all games with any type of gacha/rolling/pulling/ or luck system garentees you get what you want after a certain amount of pulls. (Might just script out these out entirely as gambling.)
* Appliances (like a dishwasher) do not need an app to work or you can't use it
* No "enshittification" of an app or product.
* You have the right to repair any device you own, abd don't have to use a companies' services.

While I'm grateful bsd doesn't do the "As you know..." type of exposition, it's crazy how much worldbuilding there is like. in the shadows of everything. Like, what's up with the Great War? This isn't even so evident if you don't read the light novels, but there was literally a world war that ended less than fifteen years before the start of the main timeline. It's because of the war that there are so many orphans in the universe. It's because of the war that ability users have faded into a myth, and why they have to get special permits to work and usually gravitate towards underground organizations. It's because of the war why world relations are so shaky, why the government strictly monitors all ability users, and yet all of this is sort of like...in the background? Season four is the first time we ever even get a real flashback and actual exposition about it in the anime, even though it's been vaguely referenced as early as season two with Mimic. They literally did experiments on children, hence Chuuya. So much of the world and the violence and the tripartite framework all came into existence because of the war. And until the most recent arc, where it's being brought to the forefront with both Fukuchi and Fyodor's plan to eradicate ability users, it's sort of just in the background.
And don't even get me started on the lore behind the Dragon Head Conflict because like-
#bungou stray dogs#bungo stray dogs#bsd#worldbuilding#there's so much lore#someone please make a list with all the bsd lore

Starefire is liminal
Correct me if im wrong, but she got her starbolts from unethical alien experimentation, right? What if the experiment was exploring ectoplasm and liminality? Ergo, starfire's starbolts are actually ectorays.
There are so many possibilities to explore. Does she know she's liminal or the nature of her starbolts? Do the GIW clock her as a ghost instead of an alien? Do they hunt her down or monitor from a distance because she's too high profile?
Does the justice league learn about the giw through their interactions with starfire, and only discover phantom as a side effect? Here we can run the full gamut of possibilities, from phantom just starting out, or phantom successfully protecting an entire off-the-radar city (not something ive seen very often), to phantom post-capture, or bad reveal and in hiding.
Also, when i first thought of this idea, i immediately considered the similarities between starfire and jazz, especially if jazz is a fire core liminal with flight and ectoblasts. I was kind of considering a plot where a video of the giw hunting jazz is released on the web, but the video goes viral with the title of "fashion police attack starfire" or something. Jazz deliberately played up the similarities she has to starfire (makeup, costume, and everything) and tucker deliberately released the video in a way that would get past the censors and catch the justice league's attention. It was a desperate ploy that the entirety of team phantom was in on to get help when the giw escalated to hurting civilians, or captured phantom, or some other emergency.
Then, as the league investigate the starfire impersonator, they discover all the monitoring the giw have done on the real starfire (that team phantom might or might not know about) to confirm that she's liminal, and the plans theyre devoloping to quietly capture her.
It would be equal parts angsty and hilarious if the Justice League destroyed the GIW without ever identifying the impersonator or discovering amity park and phantom. Maybe batman only discovered them months later while trying to close up loose ends? Idk, its an idea. (I kinda wanna avoid the whole "summon the ghost king" subplot, if for no other reason than the fact that its been overdone?)
OTOH, the league could be doing a very thorough internal investigation to figure out how many of their members are "ecto-contaminated" according to the giw's tech, and the magic users would have to step in and explain things if batman tries to take the "contamination" at face value and try to purge it. Once they explain the concept of liminality and how they can sense it from most members, batman is simultaneously unsurprised that most of the league is "death-touched" and nearly having an aneurysm because they never thought to explain this sooner.
To add a bit of crack at the end, after the justice league has thoroughly destroyed the giw and figured out all their own existential crises (and still havent discovered who the imposter was), THAT'S when "perpetual pot-stirrer" Phantom shows up on the watchtower all like, "yes, you have passed all of my tests and reacted appropriately to the information of liminality. I will now deign you with my presence and give you many blessings of the ghost king. You are also now allowed to visit amity park. Treat these privileges with wisdom and temperance." (As if he's NOT a superpowered teen desperately looking for like-minded peers and unconditional acceptance.)

Best End-User Experience Management Tools to Know
End-User Experience Management (EUEM) is the discipline of monitoring and optimizing an application’s performance and usability from the end-user perspective. It is a critical component of every digital business process, directly influencing user happiness, retention, and engagement. In truth, product development does not end with the product’s introduction! IT personnel must continually analyze…

UA high in my mha dr
for much needed context on the city my dr is set in, read this post.
UA, or Ueyama Academy, was founded by businessman and pro hero Christian Ueyama in 1902. he was initially both experimenting on and training the first set of quirk users, but when quirks became a widespread phenomenon he opened UA as a school. since then, UA's have opened all around the world, some of the most iconic branches being tokyo, musutafu, new york city, los angeles, dubai, hong kong, cairo, london, lagos and paris.
years :
students finish their second to last year of high school, then transfer to UA.
studying at UA takes about four years
most students graduate at 18-19.
each year has two classes from each course.
both classes have twenty people in each.
campus :

ua is in the cities rural district, deep in the jungle.
ua has a shuttle straight to the building. its literally just a fancy school bus. you need a school card to access the bus.
ua has seven floors, the first floor is just regular compulsory classrooms, the library and the cafeteria, but the third floor and above is fully for specialized classes.
all five courses are in the dorms. ua isnt exactly a boarding school, but because of how intense the schedule and class work is most students decide to go into the dorms.
UA culture
theres some small/mid sized neighborhoods a couple miles from UA. students go there frequently because of the surfing culture, picturesque beaches and food.
the craziest shit happens at UA. think like greendale if they had money.
ua students are particularly impossible to control. which is why the student council, judiciary board and disciplinary committee are so essential.
after hours from 4:30pm to 9:30pm. students can train, practice and work on their personal projects at the school. because of the nature of UA, most students are present for after hours.
ua has an option sixth day of school for tutoring, practice and training. (pretty sure this is already normal in japan, but i dont think most ppl on tumblr are japanese so i felt like mentioning it)
rivalry between individual classes and whole courses. sometimes really intense prank wars.
events :
to end every semester we have a kick back on the school grounds. with live music (performed by the entertainment course), games and free food. plus a big ass cheese fountain (ib. hollywood arts)
culture day is held once a school year. its a half day, and during the school day everyone dresses up in their cultural uniforms. the second half of the day is a festival, with booths and events divided by nationality/ethnicity.
scavenger hunt around the campus after school. the items being hunted are made by the technology course and are often...colorful, so say the least.
a school wide fundraising event where staff and faculty auction items and services to other students, faculty, family, friends and strangers. most of the money goes to the school but participants get a fair cut of the value their item recieved.
four to five times in a semester every course has a day with no regular classes or no classes at all. just a day to develop whichever skill the student or their teachers think they need to work on in excruciating intensity. (and for hero course students hours of group physical exercise too. yay) marked as a test grade and heavily monitored.
in this universe musutafu celebrates carnaval, so UA students from every course can volunteer to help put together (and in some cases perform on) UA's carnaval floats. other than that, during canaval school is out.
the technology course has a tech fair every year. its not as mainstream as the sports festival but equally popular in its own field.
clubs :
most students are too busy after school doing course work/projects, and being at UA by itself looks good enough for a resume, so UA doesn't have much clubs.
student council (various class representatives and stellar students who represent the school internationally, plan events and solve school-wide issues)
ua newspaper. (relays announcements and shocking events. also spreads gossip and digs for controversy.)
disciplinary comitee. (disciplines misbehaving students, enforces rules & dress code.)
student judiciary board. (a council of students mediate fights and solve minor/major disputes. they also determine the form of detention a student gets. like a mini jury)
peer tutoring program. (teachers & students with high GPA tutor peers. tutoring students gets you extra credit)
extra funding committee. (finds ways to fund students personal projects unrelated to the school)
shut eye club (top secret club, actually deals in espionage and black market drug/ technology operations called in by other students and on occasion adults. centered around UA's interpolitics)
detention (not a club, but when students get detention they have to clean the entire school or waste their time on some other mundane task.)
uniform
UA is pretty lax on uniform regulations.
the standard uniform includes a short sleeve white button up top, and black bottoms.
depending on their course, students wear a different bow/tie color.
ua only allows accessories/ non black & white shoes matching course color.

courses
UA has five courses
no general course.
all courses are equally famed and competitive.
the daily schedule fluctuates from compulsory classes to specialized classes.
compulsory classes (japanese lit, social studies, arithmetics, etc.) are mixed course.
entertainment course / purple ties "the distractions"
generally obnoxious.
think of them as a mini hollywood arts.
trained to be idols, directors, actors and musicians.
pharmacy & healthcare course / blue ties "the fixers"
so stressed out.
patch up hero course students.
technology course / green ties "the helpers"
tech course students are annoyingly ambitious.
hardest to control.
assist hero course students.
practically live in their labs. never see the sun.
business & law course / yellow ties "the manipulators"
stereotyped as only caring about money (kinda true...)
think theyre better than the other courses.
heroics course / red ties "the stars"
stereotyped as entitled jocks.
most iconic course.

Something about a post on Twitter giving me more Persona ideas for Jayce and Viktor b/c of the mention of the myth/story of Achilles... Namely Achilles and Patroclus (especially how in some versions, Achilles and Patroclus were not only depicted as very close but lovers as well which was the subject of debate and Achilles was most grief stricken when Patroclus was killed no matter the version).
Idk Jayce maybe getting Achilles from the start but Viktor initially gets Weishaupt (mentioned here) but then somehow loses contact or goes berserk somehow? It's hard to explain as it may involve Sumi's boss fight and/or implementing a fight with him without appearing like I'm doing a rehash of some sort but at the end of the day he would maybe gain a new one in the form of Patroclus as some form of fun theming between him and Jayce?
Achilles from what I can gather is commonly described as: Courageous, has a sense of honor, and loyal but also impulsive and even prideful with a temper. He was still capable of compassion though.
Meanwhile Patroclus is described as: Kind, wise, also loyal, and even a role model to Achilles. He would often try to provide counsel/guidance to him and his death greatly impacted Achilles to the point where it eventually led to his downfall.
I did consider Viktor as Navi user but... Hmm... I started thinking more.
Weishaupt: It would still be a Navi but maybe symbolic of how Viktor still has his past insecurities, opting to remain in the background but still being considered useful in some capacity (kinda like how the show gave some visual symbolism of him being in Jayce's shadow despite his own contributions and efforts). This ends up slowly being to his detriment since it's not combat oriented and his own power limitations start to get to him, especially after Futaba joins (mind you, she does try to include him or even take turns in each outing). Post joining Maruki for a while, he's able to do more including combat... But there are side effects and it's even slowly killing him.
Patroclus: He gains this after being rescued and breaking away from Maruki's influence. Recycling from another cut/unused scene, which is when the 1/12 exploration was originally going to have Sumi awaken much later in the Monitoring Room and her developing fatigue ending that day, Viktor realizes what had went wrong with him since arriving. I guess the general draft is that he still feels guilt for his actions as the Herald (Hexcore influence or not, he doesn't care) and would constantly avoid the subject to the point of pushing himself too hard again, nearly repeating the same mistakes he was trying to avoid. It's when he not only accepted what happened and what he had done that he's able to gain Patroclus as well as it being symbolic of how much Jayce ended up inspiring him with his love and care and his desire to return the favor.
Not only that but Patroclus is more combat oriented but Viktor is more long range and spells/ailments whereas Jayce is more close range and physical (thinking Jayce would maybe be an Almighty user while Viktor is either Psy or Bless? Maybe Curse? Feel free to give suggestions! Either that or a poll). Even so, they're more in sync with each other and can even have a Showtime together.
Just so we're clear: Yes, Viktor still has his disability regardless along with Jayce to the point where their outfits keep the leg braces (which is also reflected on their respective Persona) and Viktor's cane turns into a staff with Jayce keeping his usual hammer. Maruki temporarily removes Viktor's disability due to his own obvious jumping to conclusions and assuming that it's the source of Viktor's pain (B/c via Maruki's logic: Bad leg (coupled with Vik's disease but he overlooks that) led to Vik's desperation and later trauma in his experimenting with the Hexcore which then killed Sky). It returns the moment Viktor cuts ties with him after a boss fight.
I could go on about how their temporary collaboration went but maybe another time. ;)

Skeleton Crew - Very Interesting, As An Astrogation Problem
"The truth! The truth is, I'm just like you! Okay? I'm lost. I'm alone." Jod Na Nawood
Episode 3 continues to keep the momentum and peak quality of the premiere up!
We finally got to see KB's parents (I love that they're her moms), and it will be interesting to see why her moms put cybernetics (one of the functions is a life monitor, and apparently, she needs medical needs) in KB. I wonder if the cybernetics might be due to an accident or a birth defect. I love how KB stands in for people with disabilities. I hope we get to see more of Wendle's story and maybe even some backstory for him.
I love that KB got the most focus after the first two episodes didn't really go into her. I love the subtle insult about the chances Job isn't a Jedi given her knowledge of the Jedi is from the OR Era when the Jedi were much more numerous.
Similar to the Acolyte, I really appreciate the show for not trying to delay the obvious mysteries like making it clear Jod is Captain Silvo and how he's intending right now in the story at least to try to find the treasure on At Attin. Also that Battle Droid asking if they won totally gave me Jedi Survivor vibes with another Droid asking that same question haha.
I really love the visual effects, especially the owl alien Kh'ymm later on. The budget for Kh'kymm visual effects is on-par with the movies, and honestly this show has a lot more movie quality than Ahsoka.
Jod needs to respect droids and soon. SM-33 is always a gem and he has a good keen on Jod's untrusty nature. I'm glad we got to see how Jod is a genuine Force-user (Jude Law has already confirmed he is genuine about his Force-sensitive status). However, Jod might be old enough to have been around during the Clone Wars, which would make his prejudice against droids make sense.
I really love that Kh'ymm is an actual good being, and she thinks Jod kidnaps the kids when we know it's the opposite case. However, she is right that Jod does have ulterior motives. It's nice to see some genuinely nice beings in this galaxy. Also, her Observatory looks so amazing.
At Attin, one of the Jewels of the Old Republic is definitely from the actual Old Republic which makes me pretty excited. I thought we would need to wait until the MMO dies to see Old Republic content but I'm glad we're also starting to dip into the Era. I like the concept of hiding away certain worlds akin to time capsules unaffected by the outside galaxy. I'm going to guess those Jewels were destroyed by the Sith, the Nihil, the Clone Wars, and definitely the Empire. The more I think about it, At Attin and the Jewel world are the equivalent of a Fallout Vault. It makes me wonder if there's smth more malevolent to the world: What is At Attin's experiment lmao.
It's so weird in a good way to see the kids not know about what's going on since their isolation such as not knowing about how rough Coruscant got it post-war and Alderaan's destruction...God that's going to be awkward when the kids know what happened to Alderaan and the wars since their isolation. Can't wait for Wim to learn about Order 66.
My theory is whoever the Supervisor and the govt is that they have some access to the outside galaxy and they might've taken some things from what's going on to spin it into their own ideas (like Soh's Great Works to describe part of the Great Work of keeping the Barrier up).
I love and find it hilarious how KB and Fern end up turning Jod's idea of being partners and whether he works for them. Such a power move by those kids and I love to see it haha. While Jod didn't tell the kids the complete truth, I think he is telling the truth about him feeling lost and I hope we get to see his character development over the series (I'm a sucker for the heart of gold character growth, especially during this time where we need those feel good stories). I wonder if he really is a Jedi dropout or a former Padawan. I can't wait for Episode 7 to give us more on his character like Jude Law promised.
I hope Neel gets to be more independent over time, and this is hopefully the first step. God, I love how the Onyx Cinder looks after looking at the brick abomination of a "ship" that is the Trailblazer, haha. It also feels weird to see the kids firing on NR ships, but I like how the X-Wings pilots were worried about the kids. I also like how they were using ion shots since they weren't trying to destroy the ship but disable it. I hope we see more of Kh'ymm haha. I also think the ruined world in the trailers could be one of those destroyed Jewels of the Old Republic.
"He got us this far. But I don't trust him. Not really." KB
"What did he tell you? 'Trust your gut'? Use your head. Get the truth. And if you ever need help, you can call me anytime." Kh'ymm

A new blog post from BioWare in which they talk about the PC experience for Dragon Age: The Veilguard. The blog covers display features, graphics settings and controls. "We're PC players ourselves and have a dedicated team focused on PC."
"Journal #4 PC Features for Dragon Age: The Veilguard A look into the PC Experience in Dragon Age: The Veilguard Hello everyone, Today, we want to specifically touch on the PC experience for Dragon Age: The Veilguard. The Dragon Age franchise started out on PC, and we wanted to make sure PC is a great place to play our game. Many of us at BioWare are PC players ourselves, and when testing, PCs made up 40% of our platform testing effort, with over 200,000 hours of performance and compatibility testing. Getting the PC experience just right was crucial to us and we created a dedicated team to focus on PC. We can’t wait for you to experience it for yourselves! Let’s talk about inputs first. We wanted to ensure the controls and UI are a good experience for both KBM and controllers; so we did close to 10,000 hours of user research testing to make sure of it. Dragon Age: The Veilguard will feature native support for PS5 DualSense controllers with haptics support in addition to the standard of Xbox controllers & keyboard + mouse. Additionally, you can seamlessly transition between controllers or keyboard + mouse while playing or in menus. There are many different ways to play our game; so, in order to allow you to find the most comfortable set-up, we’ve added the ability to customize class-specific keybinds that you can easily switch between. This means that your Rogue Rook can use a different set of keybinds than your Warrior Rook, if you’d like! Along with the standard resolution options, we also have full support for 21:9 Ultrawide monitors. Don’t worry; we didn’t forget the cinematics, either - just disable the option titled “Cinematic Aspect Ratio.” This will remove the enforced black bars; so you can watch the cinematics in full ultra widescreen glory. No matter what size monitor you’re rocking, you can adjust your FOV with an FOV slider in the Settings. There will be an option for uncapped framerate, as well. We’re also launching with full HDR support. Most changes to Graphics and Display Settings are reflected in real time, and you can see the impacts of those changes through the cutout in the UI. This will help you make informed decisions as you tweak your game to look exactly how you want. For a full list of Settings, check the rest of the blog below! We know a lot of you play on Steam, and we wanted to meet you where you are. We’re happy to be completely Steam Native for Dragon Age: The Veilguard! We’re already Steam Deck Verified; and with Cloud Save on Steam supported, you can seamlessly switch back and forth between your PC and your Steam Deck as much as you want, with no interruption to your progress. We also have Remote Play enabled if you’d rather play on your TV! If you’d like to utilize it, there will be a completely optional linking process to your EA Account."
"If you want to hear about a few advanced settings and options for the PC community, let’s go over that now. We support a suite of Ray Tracing features, as well as an “Ultra RT” mode for extremely high end rigs. We have several types of upscaling available: NVIDIA DLSS 3, FSR 2.2 which has been heavily modified, specifically for the game, and XeSS. We also support DLSS 3 with frame generation and NVIDIA Reflex. As we have more PC features to share, we’ll circle back on those before launch. We’re inching closer to our release date of October 31, 2024! We still have more information coming on Combat, the Companions, Exploration, and more; so keep your eyes peeled on our socials. We are eager to see your battle stations running Dragon Age: The Veilguard and the resulting screenshots. Chat soon! — The Dragon Age Community Team"
"To summarize the above, check out an overview of the PC specs and features we’re ready to unveil now: DISPLAY FEATURES - Full Support for 21:9 Ultra Wide Resolutions - Ability to Uncap Frame Rate - VSync, including fractional rate VSync - HDR Support - Optional Upscaling (DLSS 3, FSR 2.2, XeSS) - NVIDIA Reflex - DLSS 3 Frame Generation - Optional Dynamic Resolution Scaling - Cinematic Aspect Ratio (Disable this option for cinematic 21:9 ratio) GRAPHICS SETTINGS - Presets Available (Low, Medium, High, Ultra) Texture settings: - Texture Quality, Texture Filtering Light & Shadow Settings: - Lighting Quality, Contact Shadow, Ambient Occlusion, Screen Space Reflections, Volumetric Lighting, Sky Quality Ray Traced Settings*: - Ray-Traced Reflections, Ray-Traced Ambient Occlusion, Ultra Ray Tracing Geometry Settings: - Level of Detail, Strand Hair, Terrain Quality, Terrain Decoration Quality, Visual Effects Quality Camera Effects: - Depth of Filed, Vignette, Motion Blur, Post Processing Quality, Field of View Controls: - Class-specific Keybinds, Keyboard + Controller Bindings * Ray Tracing can be “ON” or turned to “Selective”. magic system dr | aura manifestation & development
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
date: june 21-22 2025. started: 11:15pm ended: 12:02am
I am NOT feeling better lmao. i didn't go to the doctor bc i slept all day but i think it's probably my stomach issues. i changed some of the ages while editing this because i didn't like them manifesting so early.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
✧˖*°࿐aura development and manifestation
aura manifestation is not just a magical event — it's a biological, emotional, and energetic rite of passage. it defines a person’s path, identity, and sometimes even their place in society. every stage of manifestation brings unique challenges, dangers, and cultural implications.
*ೃ༄early bloomers (7-10)
𓂃 ࣪˖ ִֶָꪆৎ 15% of magic users unstable core: these children often manifest flashes of power before they have language to articulate what they’re feeling. this leads to spontaneous, sometimes dangerous, surges of raw mana—e.g., glowing eyes, levitation, or emotional storms. aura volatility: their auras often shift in color, tone, and intensity until age 10–12. early bloomers may appear to have one aura type, only to “settle” into a completely different form later. დ࿐ ˗ˋ training needs: ꪆৎ 𓂃 › require specialized educational programs with emotional support, play therapy, and early mana regulation exercises. ꪆৎ 𓂃 › often assigned a magical “shepherd” or counselor to monitor development ꪆৎ 𓂃 › magical shielding garments are common to prevent accidental outbursts in public. დ࿐ ˗ˋ potential: ꪆৎ 𓂃 › higher likelihood of rare or hybrid tones, especially metallic, adularescent, or early dual-tones. ꪆৎ 𓂃 › can become prodigies or dangerously unstable without proper care.
*ೃ༄standard manifestation (11–14)
𓂃 ࣪˖ ִֶָꪆৎ 60% of magic users baseline model: considered the “ideal” or “safe” age range for aura manifestation. most magical education systems are designed around this timeline. დ࿐ ˗ˋ gradual manifestation: ꪆৎ 𓂃 › begins with subtle symptoms: enhanced sensitivity, emotional shifts, glowing fingertips, sensitivity to metal or crystals ꪆৎ 𓂃 › aura becomes visible to trained observers over time, with clear definition by age 12. დ࿐ ˗ˋ development arc: ꪆৎ 𓂃 › best outcomes when given structured learning, group bonding, and exposure to nature or leylines. ꪆৎ 𓂃 › most users in this category develop standard tones, though some evolve into deeper tones with age. ꪆৎ 𓂃 › magical aptitude matches personality growth; very compatible with multi-aura users later in life.
*ೃ༄late bloomers (15–18)
𓂃 ࣪˖ ִֶָꪆৎ 20% of magic users puberty-triggered: magical awakening often coincides with hormonal changes, emotional volatility, or traumatic adolescence events. დ࿐ ˗ˋ sudden onset: ꪆৎ 𓂃 › powers don’t emerge gradually — they explode. manifestation can be violent (mana shockwaves, physical changes, nightmares). ꪆৎ 𓂃 › high incident rate of magical hospitalization or public outbursts. დ࿐ ˗ˋ tone characteristics: ꪆৎ 𓂃 › much more likely to develop light/pastel tones, due to emotional volatility and raw power access. ꪆৎ 𓂃 › control is harder to develop and requires deep mindfulness training.
*ೃ༄adult manifestation (19+)
𓂃 ࣪˖ ִֶָꪆৎ 5% of magic users დ࿐ ˗ˋ rarity & risk: ꪆৎ 𓂃 › often caused by intense trauma: near-death experiences, loss, exposure to relics or cursed magic. ꪆৎ 𓂃 › some religious or spiritual groups see this as divine awakening or punishment. დ࿐ ˗ˋ power level: ꪆৎ 𓂃 › immensely strong at initial onset — frequently mistaken for cursed or corrupted. ꪆৎ 𓂃 › many adult manifesters develop unique sub-powers, like mana sensory enhancement or reactive defense magic. დ࿐ ˗ˋ control difficulty: ꪆৎ 𓂃 › no childhood foundation or neurological imprinting makes power extremely difficult to master. ꪆৎ 𓂃 › requires specialized “Reintegration Programs” involving martial discipline, therapy, elemental retraining, and energy surgery.
✧˖*°࿐aura inheritance patterns
despite its mystical nature, aura manifestation follows observable genetic, epigenetic, and spiritual inheritance laws. researchers classify magical heredity under “bio-arcane transmission.”
*ೃ༄both parents
𓂃 ࣪˖ ִֶָꪆৎ 75% chance of magical children likelihood: highest probability of aura transmission. დ࿐ ˗ˋ inheritance patterns: ꪆৎ 𓂃 › often results in dominant color inheritance or hybridized tones. ꪆৎ 𓂃 › dual-aura children occasionally occur (0.3% from magical parent pairings). magical dynasties: these children are highly valued in wealthy or old magical lineages; often receive sponsorship into elite academies.
*ೃ༄one parent
𓂃 ࣪˖ ִֶָꪆৎ 35% chance of magical children დ࿐ ˗ˋ outcome: ꪆৎ 𓂃 › unpredictable — may skip generation, manifest weak or diluted aura types. ꪆৎ 𓂃 › if the magical parent carries a rare tone, child may inherit a dormant variant.
დ࿐ ˗ˋ social perception: ꪆৎ 𓂃 › mixed-blood magic users often face skepticism or cultural pressure, particularly in traditionalist regions.
*ೃ༄neither parent
𓂃 ࣪˖ ִֶָꪆৎ 8% chance of magical children spontaneous manifestation: called wildborne or neo-arcanes. დ࿐ ˗ˋ mechanics: ꪆৎ 𓂃 › usually triggered by hidden recessive genes, environmental factors, or arcane anomalies. ꪆৎ 𓂃 › these children often develop non-standard tones, iridescence, or adularescence without known family precedent. დ࿐ ˗ˋ superstitions: ꪆৎ 𓂃 › governments may place them under surveillance or offer scholarships to train them safely.
*ೃ༄color and tone inheritance probabilities
დ࿐ ˗ˋ color inheritance: ꪆৎ 𓂃 › 40% chance the child inherits a similar color family (e.g., parent with red aura passes red/orange). ꪆৎ 𓂃 › hybrid color formations (e.g., parent with blue + parent with yellow → child with green) are possible but rare (10%). დ࿐ ˗ˋ tone inheritance: ꪆৎ 𓂃 › only 25% chance of tone matching parent (e.g., light-tone user birthing another light). ꪆৎ 𓂃 › metallic, iridescent, or adularescent tones are almost never inherited directly — they often arise through trauma or mutation.
*ೃ༄skip generation pattern
phenomenon: 15% of magical children are born to non-magical parents but have one or more magical grandparents.
დ࿐ ˗ˋ mechanics: ꪆৎ 𓂃 › caused by recessive arcane traits combining with the right environmental conditions (high-mana zones, magical artifacts, etc.) ꪆৎ 𓂃 › children may exhibit stronger magical signatures than their grandparents due to generational mana stacking. დ࿐ ˗ˋ cultural role: ꪆৎ 𓂃 › these “mana-skippers” are studied heavily by genealogists and arcanobiologists. ꪆৎ 𓂃 › sometimes seen as a second chance for dormant bloodlines to reclaim magical status.
