Wasn't intending to send in another ask this early, but all the theory crafting about Disregard and the mention of Whatever the heck is happening with the Corkscrews summoned me so i guess I'll add my two cents and possibly derail the conversation.

I agree that there is a good chance Disregard could be a Guardian. She has distinctly different in design to the other generals; She is tied to pink(a color that contrasts the Dark Blue of the Desolation regime) and has a unique eye color(A traits only seen in Guardians and other entities, a trait that also suspiciously doesn't appear on any of the other Desolation-alligned characters(General Dispute doesn't count)). I was actually going to disagree at first that Disregard is a Corkscrew, mostly because of the fact that she has wheels, something that Corkscrews don't have, until I realised that with the Desolation Regime having the technology to remove a Guardians powers, they probably have the technology to turn people into trains- as unethical as it most likely is in-universe.

Speaking of the Desolation regime, I realized while writing this ask that General Disinterest isn't as old as- say- General Distrust, which means two things:

He is stupidly competent, which we kinda already knew;

Desolation Engine has outlived ATLEAST 3 OF HIS GENERALS.

Now that on its own you can explain the fact that he outlived 3 of his Generals, but the thing is, Distrust and Disrepair have shown signs of actual aging, where Bastard Conductor McFuck over here DOSENT LOOK ANY OLDER IN THE PRESENT THAN WHAT HE LOOKED LIKE IN THE "DONT LOOK DOWN" COMIC(I double checked this). Not to mention, he is (sometimes)depicted as having blue skin, and he can turn into an actual train? Something none of the other train-based entities can do and explicitly mentioned as unique to him only?

Now, I do have 2 explanations for this:

Desolation Engine is a Train based Entity unique from the other trains, but still similar enough to pass off as them.

Desolation Engine is a Guardian. Or his powers in some way are derived from Guardians. If the Desolation Regime can outright remove a Guardian's Powers, and the fact it's confirmed that Guardian Power is a thing that can be manipulated in many ways, who's to say what happens to the Power after its removed?

So uhhhhh I don't know how to end this segment- so lets just move on to talking about the Corkscrews.

So, whats happening with them? While of course it isn't outright stated, there are clues. The more prominent of which being the fact that Alton says "Program" when commenting on them in the "When Alton met Katie" Comic.

Now I do agree that the Corkscrews creation does seem forced, I would go the extra mile and say that Arrow, in-universe, partialy unlocked the secrets to Guardian Manifestation and was actively Profiting off of it.

First off, it is explicitly said that you can't control how a Guardian Manifests. The Corkscrews in-universe look very similar to eachother. That, along with the other major clue- along with other minor ones(the small scene of Katie crying in "The First Secret weapon" Comic on page 5, the art from the Liminal park Ask, and the fact you explicitly said that there is a major Contradiction in her Origins), makes me believe this theory.

Funnily enough, while I was thinking of this theory, the possibility of Arrow having documents of their discovery came to my head. So where are the documents in the modern day then? Either burned, or collecting dust in an office at one of the successors to Arrow Development. I did make me wonder if the Desolation Regime could get a hold of the documents, which sounds like a very interesting plotline- but I'll be honest, I have no idea what they would do with the documents after obtaining them.

All desolation theorys aside, I'm really jazzed with what I have cooking for the Corkscrews. I hope I'll be able to tell that story someday!!

Probably shouldn't have taken a month buuuut (motivation issues lol)

i got it done in a night! fixed some things like Mimi, Spy and Saxton AGAIN, and finally drew the blubbery boi/gorl/fren to cap it all off! Maybe i overdid it with the lashes on the Seal but i really like how silly Spy looks here so LMK what you would like changed!

Ill probably do pursue some other projects before i get to colouring/shading/rendering this behemoth but yayyyy yippeee lineart done kill me so happy!
