hello im a lurker & i would like 2 know abt how entropy got into the games if you dont mind !

great question my dear lurker!!

a small disclaimer that this may still change as i am (still and always) working on their story, but i think i'm more confident about their backstory, so here's, in short, how they joined. hope it makes sense!!

Wren, because of their rough past, has had quite a few challenges. From fitting in with people, making friends, to job hunting and keeping a job.

They were working some engineering positions before, and did excellently for a few years. They are passionate, hard-working, confident in their abilities- not so much in their other aspects of self.

But an... Accident, let's say, lead to them getting fired. That accident involves punching an asshole. :)

After that they decided to work as a mechanic. Somehow they got the idea of working at the Apex Games as a mechanic- maybe through a friend, or maybe just because they wanted to get off of their home world, it was a spur of the moment thing, just needing a bit of a change.

They've grown to enjoy working there, and enjoy the Games. They weren't really into the Games before, not really paying that much attention to them. "A waste of time when they could be working or doing other hobbies", they'd say.

A scuffle with another mechanic caused them to ultimately get fired, though (and possibly they had some contraband on them). That's when they got the idea of joining the Games as a fighter, and well, it worked somehow! And here we are! Entropy, a competitor in the Apex Games.

Why wouldn't they go hunt for other engineering or scientific work opportunities if they're good at that and enjoy that, you say? Honestly, it's probably not a bulletproof answer, but the idea is wanting change and a lack of confidence.

Plus, they still do engineering and whatever on the side, as much as they can. Maybe in the future they will take part in a larger thing. :) They enjoy natural sciences and technology, their path could lead anywhere from agriculture (like civillian Titans or other machinery), science, etc.

Entropy is a big fan of bugs :)) Marlow takes care of them when they’re away or not able to touch them (like the lovely centipede friend)
