lil things that make yan blade go feral:
you tugging on his sleeves to get his attention
when you step on your tiptoes to reach something that's high
how you jump and squeak in surprise when he sneaks up on you
talking back to him over minor disagreements (telling a 6'2 stellaron hunter with a bounty of 8.13 billion credits that you refuse to acknowledge him until you get your phone back takes some Courage)
the mild look of concern you try concealing when he comes back bruised and bloodied
dozing off someplace random (it gives him the excuse to scoop you up and put you into bed)
wearing clothes that are too big on you (he might have a blank face but just know the synapses in his brain are firing away more than they have in a century)

Critical thinking tip: Beware of false equivalencies!
A false equivalence is a claim that two or more things that might appear superficially similar are actually the same, when in reality they aren't really comparable at all.
An example of this is when young Earth creationists (who proclaim that Earth is only 6000 years old and everything in Genesis happened literally) claim that they are simply just interpreting the same facts differently from other scientists, as if it's just like the famous rabbit-duck illusion where one is equally justified in seeing either a rabbit or a duck.
But the reality is that young Earth creationism simply doesn't work like this. Instead, their "science" is based on cherry picked data and ad hoc reasoning to try and dismiss the many facts real scientists discover that constantly show that young earth creationism just isn't very likely. Radiometric dating, tree ring data, and geological data consistently show that the Earth is quite a bit older than 6000 years. YEC responses to this often boil down to "well maybe physics just worked differently back then" (here's one example of this), and of course they never do any real tests or research to show that this is a real possibility. Moreover, they invent some absolutely bizarre claims to supposedly disprove evolution - like falsely claiming that the Second Law of Thermodynamics prohibits it.
All of this shows us that YECs aren't just scientists who interpret the data correctly - they are politically-motivated spin doctors using the aesthetic of science to make themselves look more credible. This is why when someone claims that their fringe idea is just as scientifically credible as a mainstream one, you have to ask yourself if that's really true. Are they following the scientific method and accepting results that don't align with what they wanted? Or are they engaging in special pleading and relying on fake evidence?
(By the way, I recommend Gutsick Gibbon's YouTube channel as a resource debunking YEC claims!)
Another form of false equivalence is when someone claims that mystical experiences and intuition are just as valid for determining what's going on in the world as genuine scientific research. But when we consider that something as wrong as World Ice Theory came from an apparently mystical dream, we have to consider that these kinds of experiences can be extremely misleading. We also know that professional psychics' yearly predictions have a high rate of failure. (Some examples. More examples. And some more examples. And even more examples!) We know that a tool such as the Ouija board can enhance memory recall, but when we're really honest about the accuracy of mystical information-gathering means, we have to admit that they're just no substitute for research and study.
So when someone asserts that two things are basically the same, or are fundamentally equivalent or fungible, ask yourself - are they really, though? And then do the research to find out!

In my mind Tom has a whole Thing[tm] about Tuvok that has to do with jealousy and Starfleet ideals and his father issues and commitment issues and also a weird fascination with his sex/romantic life but the most Tuvok thinks of Tom is like. Goofus v Gallant cartoon.

all the jokes about logan not knowing what a kilometer is reminds me of when i (an american) was on the swim team in high school and we would go to other schools for meets and pretty much every school had a 25 yd pool because that was the standard length but there was this one school that had a meter pool for some reason?? and 25 yds and 25 meters are pretty similar so it was about the size of a normal pool BUT whenever you swim you get an intuitive feel for the size of the pool which is especially important when you’re doing backstroke because you have a stroke count between the flags and the walls so you know when to turn over to flip. so when i was doing backstroke during warm ups i rammed my head into the concrete wall really hard because the pool was just a slightly different length than i was used to </3

Still thinking about Lloyd's problem of needing good karma to guarantee himself a spot in Heaven so that the King of Hell would stop harassing him. And the solution could be so simple!
Abolish slavery.
That's literally all it would take. We know slavery exists in Magentano, and I think it still isn't dealt with even 300 years later? And obviously this wouldn't be a quick undertaking, but even an attempt at it would probably have seen Lloyd raking good karma points by a thousand, and he was really so, so close to the goal already.

"But what about people who had gatherings for Thanksgiving and Christmas and had the cops called on them? They're just like Anne Frank too."
Fuck off. No one called the cops on you. The worst that happened was that you were called a selfish asshole for ignoring the deadly plague that was happening. People regularly posted pictures and videos on the internet of their gatherings. Imagine if Anne Frank did that.

Ok so. This is less concrete thoughts and more scattered ideas but.
Dathomirian Zabrak biology speculations/thoughts!
While at first glance it looks like males are the only ones who have different skin colors and the females are all pale, we do see at least one Nightsister with darker skin (the one whose facial markings are white and resemble a skull), meaning skin pigmentation is present in both but manifests differently in males vs females!
(This is much like birds where the females are the neutral-colored ones while the males have more vibrant colorations and are expected to impress the females to be picked as a mate)
And it's very curious to me that iridonians have very human-like skin tones, while dathomirians ended up having two extremes, either having very vibrant skin ranging from yellow to red, or very pale skin ranging from white to dark gray, both outside the human (and iridonian) range
I think if a transgender dathomirian had HRT their skin color would gradually change with it (much like how birds can change coloration depending on their hormones)
The fact that males have no hair and females have no horns seems very random to me and I will not be thinking about the hair thing but I will say:
Have you looked at Mother Talzin's head shape. Have you seen how strangely tall it looks. What if. What if females "lack" horns because instead of growing at just a few specific points their entire skulls grow and elongate over their lifetimes.
This makes sense if you consider that they live in a "dense jungle" type environment where things (fruits, branches, predators..) can fall on their heads all the time. Having a thicker skull would probably help avoid a cracked skull from constantly getting hit in the head by falling stuff
(No idea what about the hair thing though. Maybe it's something to do with gene interactions. Like whatever gene makes their skin so saturated also deactivates the "have hair" genes. or maybe nightsisters are all wearing wigs and none of them actually grow hair)
Speaking of the geography of the planet, I think it's pretty sad that we never really get a good look of what the Nightbrothers' region looks like outside the village and some mountain terrain around it. Is it more sunny than the Nightsisters' side and that's why their skin adapted to have more color while the females' adapted to lose color? Or is it a seasonal thing and we just never got to see another season in the shows? Or is the village just built in a place that's so high the mist doesn't reach it? We get the sense that it's cold, at least at night, so why are they dressed in such light clothes? In fact, is it hot where the Nightsisters live, or is the entire species more adapted to colder temperatures and that's why they all wear so little?
What would happen if you crossed a dathomirian zabrak with a species that also has non-human skin tones but not linked to sexual dimorphism. Like what if you had a pantoran-zabrak cross, since pantorans are on the opposite side of the color wheel. Do you think they'd be an extremely vibrant blue or yellow-orange-red, or a middle ground, like green? Or perhaps an extreme outside both species' range, like purple? Do you think the "no saturation" gene would take over and make them gray no matter the gender?

Basically do you think Edwin knew Monty was asking him on a distinctly romantic outing, or that Monty's crush flew over his head entirely right up until their first kiss. Was he surprised because he didn't realize he was being unclear about trying to let Monty down slowly, since he had feelings for someone else, or was he surprised that Monty had romantic feelings for him?
