she wasn't new to this, to a girl trapping her into some kind of confrontation about what they were, but everytime it made her feel crazy. yet - something about callie saying those words almost almost tugged at something in her stomach, but she didn't want to dig that up right now. tanner knew what kind of answer he was looking for here, and thankfully, it was also the one that she had given him. it did cause a small smile to pull from his lips, grinning as she told him exactly what he'd wanted to hear. ❝ yeah? you'd wipe the prints, then what, run away with me? ❞ obviously he was hoping it would never come down to something like that, but knowing that she was here and with him for the long haul was something he liked knowing.

logan couldn't help but chuckle at her aggressiveness, he enjoyed it and he was sure it was necessary. "does the lesbian thing work? i would just assume that would make them say even more gross things than just coming up to you and saying, 'you're hot." logan said with a smug smile. "logan." he answered. "did you ask the other guys their names, or am i special?" he inquired, as it seemed like she was giving him more time than any of the other guys that had come up to her. logan knew he was charming, and he knew he looked good, he also didn't reek of desperation like the other guys. it wasn't that he knew he wasn't going to get rejected, but it didn't bother him as much as the other guys, which ironically made him strike out less. but this wasn't about that., sure he liked getting laid as much as the next guy, but logan wasn't actually a player. he had been in more committed relationships than he had had one night stands. no there was just something about this girl that had made him want to come up to her.

nolan sighs, knowing that he shouldn't be surprised to hear such a deflecting answer that amounts to nothing from him. but he's not a fan of murky waters and people who linger too long after they announce their departure. "i'm not making things serious… you're making things more complicated than they have to be." he watches with a frown as she takes another bite of his cereal leisurely, almost as if she lives here. but she doesn't, not anymore, and they shouldn't be spending their nights tangled in bedsheets yet here they are. "yes, but i think we can both get it elsewhere." the sex might be good, but not irreplaceable enough for him to put up with getting his sanity chipped off little by little.

Mila’s breath caught in her throat as Shantell’s question lingered in the air. Her heart thudded loud enough she was sure the silence between them could hear it. She finally looked up, her dark eyes meeting Shantell’s, the weight of years of unspoken feelings pressing on her chest. “All the time,” she admitted, voice barely above a whisper. “Like when you laugh at your own jokes before you finish them, or when you sing without even realizing it. I think about what it’d be like to hold your hand and not have to let go… To kiss you and not pretend it didn’t mean anything.” She gave a shaky breath, a nervous smile tugging at her lips. “I’ve tried to ignore it, pretend I was imagining things. But I’m tired of pretending. I don’t want to be just your best friend if there’s even the smallest chance we could be more.”
