she couldn't help herself — as soon as the words were out of her mouth, mia realized exactly what she said. what the fuck? she blamed it on the alcohol — on the fact that she was just drunk enough to wonder what it’d be like to reach out and touch reagan. they touched all the time — fixing each other’s hair, holding hands, cuddling together. now that the words hung in the air, her temptation to pull reagan close to her felt different. she took a tentative step towards the blonde, shaking her head with a laugh at her question. “no, i’m not fucking with you.” she grinned, meeting the other’s gaze. “i saw the dress and thought you’d like it, so — i bought it. wore it. now we’re here.”

Ibrahim @aburakhiaibrahim currently lives with his parents in their destroyed house in Gaza. His parents are elderly and have chronic illnesses. Their GFM was created over a year ago (2 March 2024) and is just over a third of the way to the $30k CAD goal. It supports not only Ibrahim and his parents but a total of 28 members.

Audenin freezes, hand halfway to his pouch, and fights hard against a little smile. "My bow is unstrung," he says, turning just enough for her to see the truth—though he's not sure if the woman will just accuse him of unstringing it before "pretending" to come to her rescue.

He does not try to stop her as she goes. Only keeps his voice quiet and listens hard for any hint of their attacker. "It was not I who shot at you, and I mean you no harm. Let me at least try to stop the bleeding, if you insist on being on your way."

Therese does initially miss Audenin's gaze, as the shock from her sudden injury left her incapable of looking away from her shoulder where the arrow struck her. She does, however, quickly snap her head to face him when she feels his hand on her. Her expression betrays her near constantly under normal circumstances, so in the wake this pain she looks positively owlish: wide eyed and bloodless, save for the stray flecks of blood now speckling the outside of her cheek.

She is not still. "Don't tend to me then. Leave me be. How am I to know you're not the reason I'm not alright in the first place?" The attempt to project backfires as her voice falters all the more audibly. She attempts to push herself back and away from him with the balls of her feet.

Mila’s breath caught in her throat as Shantell’s question lingered in the air. Her heart thudded loud enough she was sure the silence between them could hear it. She finally looked up, her dark eyes meeting Shantell’s, the weight of years of unspoken feelings pressing on her chest. “All the time,” she admitted, voice barely above a whisper. “Like when you laugh at your own jokes before you finish them, or when you sing without even realizing it. I think about what it’d be like to hold your hand and not have to let go… To kiss you and not pretend it didn’t mean anything.” She gave a shaky breath, a nervous smile tugging at her lips. “I’ve tried to ignore it, pretend I was imagining things. But I’m tired of pretending. I don’t want to be just your best friend if there’s even the smallest chance we could be more.”

Please help Hazem in his recovery

Hazem @albardawillhazem95 lost his entire family during the genocidal war, including his wife and children. He is currently alone, with only few of his neighbors able to survive.

A GFM was created last year but the campaign organizer did not give him the 14k raised from there and so Hazem had to start all over. The new campaign has already been verified by Hussein (el-shab-hussein) and is moving very slowly.

This is Hazem in his tiny dwelling, with what little he has left of his family, as his house was also destroyed during the settler state's bombardment of his area. Please support Hazem. Isolation is already very difficult to deal with in so-called normal circumstances and Hazem has to do this while facing ordeals most of us cannot even imagine, especially with the renewed war.
