A Sheep for All Seasons

Recently, I came across an old fundraiser catalog, and one of the products was a sheep figurine with multiple outfits. I thought it was the cutest thing, so I ended up making designs for three of them.

I made some ocs for @elmushterri 's The Knight's Handbook story. I'm low-key obsessed.

TW for Guns, Blood, Tobacco, Violence, and Strangulation

First off, Credence Gallo He/him. Born in 1878, Credence moved to New York at a young age and quickly became involved in mob life, especially after the "no booze" act was passed. He began helping his "family" with bootlegging. His real family never knew until his sister found out. Unfortunately, when she discovered his secret his boss was present! Both the boss and sister pulled guns on each other, forcing him to choose a side. He chose his boss, and was killed saving them from a deadly bullet from his sister. He hates who he was in life, and for a long time he didn't feel deserving of his role as a Knight. His weapon is a gun, and for a long while it takes the same form as the one that shot him.

Eunice Simon, they/them. They were born in 1968 and died at 15. They were an 80s kid! During the time their story takes place, I imagine that they only recently became a knight, and Credence is forced to take them under their wing. Their weapon is a comically large sword made of crystal, which is used more like a club. They died protecting a kid from some bullies. In the drawing they're getting choked to death, but I think in reality the killing blow would be an unfortunately placed kick to the neck. It took a long time for Eunice to accept that their death was an accident.

Big parent/child vibes from these two. Once Credence really accepts his role as a Knight, his gun changes form.

Eunice stops aging in their late 30s.

In the actual Knight's Handbook story, I imagine that they'd both side with Sidra. They both appreciate her spunk and energy and think that she'll make a great queen.

Finally, we have Tierney Shepard, or Tyr for short, He/They/It. He's based on the Norse God of War and is VERY old. This guy is from the Middle ages. He died at 36, defending his flock from a freakishly large wolf and losing his hand in the process. His weapon is a large scythe that resembles a Shepard's staff. He can form a magical hand to use the scythe. The hand can only touch the scythe, it's useless for anything else. Other than regular Knight powers, they also have the ability to talk to animals most notably sheep, which are easiest for him to understand. Because of how freaking old he is, he has an awakened form, which is on the right. He doesn't use it often as it's very draining to use. It also has the epithet: The Shepard Knight (very creative, I know). Tyr will probably side with Jules or remain neutral. He thinks that Sidra is too headstrong, and the Jules is too bitter. He's not a fan of dogs.

With the babies now infants and Elucea completely healed from the emergency C-section, Absalom and Kanaloa will have to return to work (even gods need to bring in the simoleons - just to appear mortal anyway).

During Elucea's captivity and subsequent hiding out, Kanaloa became an active member in the military, no longer a reservist, so that he would be able to use their resources to look for El (not that it did him any good clearly) and is now locked into a contract to stay until the start of the new year. At that time he'll be able to decide to renew the contract, become a reservist again, or leave the military altogether. He was just glad that they had allowed him to stay home for as long as they had to care for El and his children during their first few days. Absalom didn't have the same problems being a judge only working a couple days a week but the long hours of those days were going to wear on him pretty fast. He was almost wondering if it was time for a career change. Maybe something part-time so he could spend more time with his family, preferably during the day so he could remain the primary care-giver at night while Elucea got some sleep. While the men were at work fretting about what was going on at home, Elucea played with her little school and worked on their milestones. She was forced to have her phone nearby and ready to put on speakerphone because both fathers called at every opportunity to talk to her and listen to the children babble.

Most of the time The babies never made it into a crib when they were tired but Zuma never seemed to mind, curling up with each infant just as they fell asleep. Whisper and the cats didn't seem to like the babies after they aged up (maybe because they were all small pets) and usually hung out with all the goats.

Trying to care for the Ranch and the children was getting harder and harder by the day. Her pets were feeling neglected, the barn animals were all threatening to leave, and the crops sorely needed harvesting. Elucea had taken to bringing the infants outside with her to work on their milestones in between her work tasks and let them play in the dirt of the garden (the goats and sheep did not seem to mind this and loved on them just as much as Zuma), and instead of napping when all of the children were napping (which very rarely happened as it was), she had started taking a baby monitor out with her to try to rush through a couple things before running back in to check on them or care for them if they set off the monitor. It was one such day that Elucea missed Furian meeting the Pull to Stand milestone because she passed out right before it happened.

Elucea tried to work on her knitting aspiration as much as she could but there just weren't enough hours in the day and there were too many nights that the men came home to find her passed out on the couch with the infants asleep in random places around the house (all of their needs had been met first though). They had had many conversations wondering how on Earth Elucea had thought she could do this without help. True she was only planning on two when she had run out on them but even now she refused to hire a nanny even for just one day a week and fired the one they had hired for her behind her back. Tera tried to come by and help as promised but with Eunice and Ellena both having given birth again themselves she never actually made it by.

When they were home Abs and Kan were the first to jump at every sound the children made and tried to take care of all their needs before Elucea could. Obviously they couldn't do everything before another needed attention but at least they were able to take some of the burden off of El who thought she had to do EVERYTHING for them. They wondered if she tried putting everything on herself to make up for the lack of care she got from Daolong and didn't think she could sustain this for too much longer.

Life has gotten hectic but Elucea makes sure she takes pictures at every opportunity to fill up the walls with family photos. She'll have to schedule a family portrait some time soon before the babies age up to toddlers.

Watcher's notes: I love watching these two with the babies!!! And the fact that they take care of the other's children without any issue (shown is Abs with Felynyrr and Kan is holding Furian after he had a blowout). I've had other households in previous saves where though I had the sims choose the adopt as dependent option (or whatever the option is on children that are not yours in the household) they would stop caring or playing with the child they had if their bio kids were crying or needed something 🤩😍🤩😍🤩😍 I just love them so much!!

Stinky. He has a love hate relationship with stinky. Stinky was one of the villagers he started off with and no matter how hard he trys to get him to move out he just won't move out. (He doesn't have the heart to let him go anyways he's just so ugly he loves him) (he wants to replace him with ruby)

Meow...he modded his animal crossing to get meow because he got mad he wasted all his nmts hunting for meow despite her not being in New horizons...(he's a little stupid...)

I would like to think Andre only got acnh to play with Cal because he kept bothering him to play. Andre never finished the game but he has a decent amount of villagers

Hazel was one of his first villagers and he likes her unibrow so he never wants to kick her off.

Mott was another villager he got first in his game. He likes him because of his nerdy look and likes to bully him.

Tangy. Andre loves Oranges (a hc of mines) so he got Tangy because he thinks she's the superior villager. She's a cat like Mel and she's made out of orange so he automatically loved her.

Leopold. He gained a liking toward the lions and he thinks they are all very funny looking and he likes fat shaming them.

Scoot. He thinks Scoot is so funny looking and calls him a dumbass duck but he truly thinks he's so funny (Cal makes jokes about Scoot and Molly being kindergarten sweethearts of some sort)

Sherb. He just thinks he's funny looking and he likes the fact that he's tired all the time

Eunice because Andre loves sheep and Cal calls Eunice ugly and doesn't understand why Andre loves him so much.

This Town - Part 36 - Wool You Be Mine?

A wolf in sheep clothing, and an actual wolf. Lobo and Eunice, a match made in hell. Too bad Grandma wasn't as tasty as the usual lamb chops.

The Great ACT-NSW-NZ Trip, 2023-2024 - Whangamōmona & The Whangamōmona Saddle

New Zealand is probably the only inhabited major landmass where, when European explorers arrived, they could ask the locals 'what's over there?' and get a genuine answer of 'no idea, we've never been there.' But when much of the countryside averages 60° slopes and the vegetation is so thick you have to prise the treeferns apart to get through, that's not that surprising.

One of the ridges the Forgotten World Highway had to cross was the Whangamōmona Saddle. It's honestly surprising there was room to pull over - most of the highway was so narrow I was glad we didn't meet any traffic coming the other way. But then the roads through the area are notoriously bad - when the Prime Minister was visiting the area in 1903 he was 'accidentally' tipped out of his buggy into a bathtub-sized pothole, whereupon he agreed that the roads needed work. 120 years later they might actually have the roadwork finished.

Whangamōmona itself is most famous for declaring itself a republic after regional council boundaries got redrawn in 1989. Elected Presidents, from Wikipedia -

Ian Kjestrup (1989–1999) After being put on the ballot without his knowledge, Kjestrup became the first elected president, serving 10 years. Billy Gumboots the Goat (1999–2001) Gumboots was the first elected animal. He won election by a landslide, although some residents speculate he ate the other challengers' ballots in order to win. He died in office after serving for 18 months. Tai the Poodle (2003–2004) Tai retired after he was attacked by a mastiff, but some speculate it was an assassination attempt. Though he survived the attack, Tai was left unfit for service and died in 2010. Sir Murt "Murtle the Turtle" Kennard (2005–2015) The local garage owner fought off strong competition from former president Kjestrup to become the 4th president. He was re-elected in 2009 by one vote, and again by a landslide in 2011. Kennard died at New Plymouth Hospice on 25 October 2015. Vicki Pratt (2015–2017) Pratt was the first female president appointed for the Whangamomona Republic. On Republic Day 2019 (19 January) President Herlihy was re-elected for a second term, having fought off challenges from Maketoni the Teddy Bear, Sherman the Cockatoo, Eunice the Sheep, Griff Robb (who proposed that the land-locked nation should enter into maritime tourism) and a Mrs Brown look-alike at the polls. Controversy surrounded the election due to the disappearance of candidate Eunice the Sheep, with commentators noting that mutton sandwiches were for sale at the Republic Day barbecue.
