PART III

Sam found himself in the warehouse's back area that had been altered, now a mixture of original storage on the left and prefabricated rooms to the right, with the loading dock straight ahead, where his wolf was leading him. The scent of home was strongly intermingling with blood where cursing and bodies impacting each other were echoing down the hallway, drawing Sam in.

A quick look-see around an open door revealed fluorescents bathing everything in washed-out colors: a very pretty, weeping, leashed O kneeling next to an expensively attired Alpha, passively observing two other Alphas engaged in a fight when one abruptly spun, spraying blood across the back walls not far from another lying in a pool of their blood on the floor. Enraged, the remaining Alpha redoubled their efforts to restrain a naked, blood-covered female who was, holy fuck, an O! 

Sam watches, astonished that, while tiring, the O wasn't giving up when another Alpha wielding a blackjack shoves him out of the way, bludgeoning and knocking her to the floor, repeatedly striking to ensure she stayed down grabbed her collar and dragged the dazed O towards a line of heavy-duty dog crates stuffing her in one. While blackjack hauled out the bodies, the banged-up Alpha grabbed a hose washing blood down the floor drain, then turned it on the caged O when Sam’s brother rushed in, grabbing him.

“Sammy! What the fucks the matter with you!” Dean, visibly distraught, dragged him down the hallway, flashbacks to when Sam disappeared for two weeks after turning sixteen on his watch and when their Alpha returned, his atrocious reaction. “You promised me you’d never disappear like that again!”  Right now, Dean wishes Sam was still unpresented and could discipline him when John, appearing relieved, quickly reverted to norms. “Sam, you ever do that again,” admonished his pup in a tight voice. He wasn’t expecting Sam’s I found the O response questions, “What are you talking about?” Sam pointed towards the room and exclaimed, “She killed two Alphas!” 

“Are you sure it was an O?” John sounded doubtful when the palatable taste of the blood and the scent that led Sam back here hit him, making his wolf jolt at his overloaded senses and his canines elongate. John wrestled back control to his hunter intellect when his eldest growled, bolted back down the hallway, followed by Sam on his heels, and yelled, “Dean! Sam! Get your asses back here!”  

Helms appears out of nowhere and sees Dean arguing with the suited Alpha. “Winchester, you have no right to be back here!” The suit stops arguing with Dean and turns on the Dealer. “You think you can sell me misrepresented goods, Helms?” Pointing to the cage rages, “I paid you an exorbitant price for twins. But you lied! Look at that thing!!” John peers back at the cage and sees the leashed O reaching into a wire cage, shaking the other one’s arm as Sam knelt next to her and, oh, holy shit, laid a hand on her shoulder. 

John rushed over before the suit realized the young Alpha was touching their newly acquired property. “Step away from them, Sam.” Sam reluctantly got up as John squatted down to inspect them. The caged one curled up in a fetal position is larger than her sibling, but one can still see her full, pink lips and cinnamon-freckled skin, and she smells nothing like the other. Helms thought he could pass off these O’s as twins? No wonder the suit is pissed. The O whimpers, opening her uninjured, fox-tilted eye to reveal the iris’s unusual mosaic, and upon seeing Sam, a faint ring of gold manifests, and his wolf reciprocates.

John knew only one thing could override rut suppressants snapped, “Dean, get Sam out of here this instant!”  Dean comes over, green eyes widening, and doubles-over groans out, “Sonuvabitch!”

 “Dean! I gave you an order!” 

Dean hobbled to his dazed brother, “Come on, Sammy!” They stagger for the door, using each other as a counterbalance. John returned his attention to the suit, still arguing with Helms about some contractual blah blah blah, felt a touch on his leg peers down at the O, whispering, “Alpha, please don’t let them kill her!” 

John watches the caged one reach a shaking hand through the bars, stroking the other’s arm comfortingly. She has strong protective instincts, like Dean when Sam has one of his nightmares. John’s thoughts are interrupted by the suit hollers. “Hey! What the fuck you are doing over there?” 

The suit stomps over, and John’s hackles go up, expecting an altercation. Instead, they take the O’s leash, leading her across the room to tether her to the doorknob before addressing him. “I understand you need an O to keep your son out of jail, so I’ll make you a deal. You can have that thing,” they point to the cage, “for a dollar. Save me the effort of getting rid of it.”

“You can’t make side deals in my establishment!” Helms screeched. The suit uses their status to dominate the Beta Dealer. “You lied about the product, and since I’ve signed all the contracts and a deal being a deal, as you keep pointing out, I can do whatever I want with my property.” The suit addresses John again, “Are you interested or not?” John gazes at the now unconscious caged O, then back to her twin, whose eyes plead for help.

“You have a deal.”

Bit of left-field question, but: I'm in the middle of a deep dive on exos and reboots, and wondered about your take on something. In earlier lore I've lost track of--iirc something involving Lakshmi-2 researching the topic, I'd be indebted if anyone had a link--suggested that reboots in exos are rare and not fully understood in the present day. I figured that jibed, since it's implied in Legacy's Lament lore that a proper reboot requires fresh Alkahest, which would be hard to come by. But now the Entelechy lorebook offhandedly mentions modern exos all having been rebooted several times since the Collapse. So I'm curious if I missed something, or there's a wire crossed in loreland, about how widely known the need for reboots are/how to go about them, or if everything post-Collapse would have just been exos hitting spontaneous boots for unknown reasons. Thanks for your time!

I couldn't find any mention of it in Legacy's Lament so if you have some specific line you're thinking of, plese share! The only thing I can think of is this:

"Clovis. You, me, and every other Exo… we deserve the life we were promised. If this portal falls, and we die, we lose that life. And if we're gone, and the Vex find some other way back, humanity is doomed. So, let's shut it down. Hell, let's swallow the damn key. But the portal stays."

Elsie explaining to Banshee (at the time Clovis-43) why they can't destroy the Glassway portal; because Exos need those Vex to live. I always read this as Elsie thinking about how if their bodies are destroyed and have to be remade, they would need Alkahest again, as well as Alkahest being needed to make brand new Exos in case they are needed to fight the Vex again. I'm not sure if it relates to resets, though a possibility exists.

But generally speaking, a reboot should not require Alkahest mostly because of what Lakshmi-2 researched; she was researching Spontaneous Exo Reset Syndrome which is a rare condition that causes an Exo to reset on their own, spontaneously. Nobody knows what causes it. Here's one of my posts about it with links to others I've made about it before.

Two cases of it had an Exo spontaneously rebooting in the middle of combat and one rebooting in the middle of a journey back home in a jumpship, so it's virtually impossible that a reset requires some special equipment and Alkahest. Otherwise, it wouldn't be possible to reset like that out of nowhere, unless there's some internal mechanism that works through Alkahest. But applying new source of Alkahest shouldn't be needed, if we go by this information.

Maybe there's a way to do reset with Alkahest and maybe that reset is better, but they can be reset without it apparently. The spontaneous reboot is not really supposed to be happening and nobody knows why it does, so Exos really shouldn't be going through that a lot (and there's only a few known cases). I think there's a difference between regular resets and spontaneous Exo reset syndrome; regular resets may occur because of some sort of trauma or memory overload or something similar, while the syndrome appears to happen completely involuntarily, uncontrolled and sometimes almost lethal as it can incapacitate the person entirely.

It's still fairly unclear how resets happen and how an Exo decides to go through them. Lakshmi theorised that Lightbearers don't need resets at all because a Ghost protects them somehow which seems to hold true. I don't think we have any specific data on civilian Exos resetting. A lot of Exos needed resets back in the Golden Age while fighting on Europa, but that probably has a lot to do with combat and stress.

Still, Ada-1 is one of the two Exos that have never reset. In her case, likely because she was made in a different way in comparison with others. She doesn't seem to experience DER at all and doesn't have to mimic basic humanisms (literally has no mouth). There's only a single mention of another Exo with no resets, here, called Mist-1. They appear to be a civilian and we know nothing else about them that isn't in this tab.

How and why random civilians would need and complete their resets is I believe unknown. But the vast majority did go through them so the CE is fine on that front. Obviously tracking down the very rare individuals who haven't reset might be difficult, on top of the possibility that someone like Mist-1 may have died since. Ada-1 is a special case who wouldn't remember the Collapse because she died during.

I rly like your analysis of Minseok. Tbh I think Sehun is similar (I mean, he’s an Aries just like Minseok). Obviously, he would love his partner to try out the things he likes and vice versa, but wouldn’t force himself to like if he doesn’t, ya know? (Tho how he communicates this may lead to some issues). And he expects his partner to be similar in that regard.

What makes him and Min different is how they express themselves with their partner. Minseok would definitely be more vocal about his affection while Sehun wouldn’t. I think it extends further into him being the youngest in his family and in exo. Again, being quite overloaded on love and affection, makes him a bit hesitant about opening up as he’s concerned he won’t be able to match the effort his partner gives. That’s why I believe he would be the embodiment of “actions speak louder than words”. He would show how much he cares for his partner rather than say it. Obviously, he’ll say “I love you” or “thank you” every once in a while, but not often. I don’t think he’ll go overboard by spoiling his partner to death but maybe a nice gift here or there to show his appreciation.

But another aspect where they differ is spontaneity. Minseok seems like the person to plan out a date or event weeks or months in advance while Sehun would be like “hey, let’s go on a drive around Seoul?” or “let’s take a walk by the Han river” randomly at like 10:00 pm on Tuesday night where he and his s/o end up at random street bar by the end of the night.

I have no idea if this makes sense or not lol 😂. It’s just something that came to mind. You can totally ignore this if u want.

yeah, i absolutely think they're different. minseok can talk about his feelings better than sehun can, you're right on that one. i think i've mentioned one time, that i think sehun has some trouble telling people how he feels because he was raised receiving love, so he doesn't "know" how to give it back.

sehun is also a lot more "loose" than minseok? in the sense that he doesn't take things too seriously or don't worry too much about the future as minseok does. maybe it's his age too, the way they were both raised, i don't know. but sehun can be way more easygoing than minseok.

another point: minseok seems to be a lot more stressed than sehun. not the sehun doesn't get angry or stand for what he believes is right (we all saw how he acted when that rumor that he was gonna be a father happened, how he stood up for himself and didn't take no shit from anyone), but it takes a lot more to get under sehun's skin than under minseok's.

they're different types of aries, that's for sure.

Upbeat! Cheerful! Refined(?)! Elegant(?)! Elphelt is the embodiment of all this and more as… the perfect bride(???)!!!

Elphelt's sunny attitude and abundance of energy alongside her delusions of romantic love can make her quite the handful. There isn't an adult safe from her fantasies, and while she'll never genuinely go through with the marriage if rejected, she'll certainly dream about it. Yes truly, her flights of fancy can get so fanciful they cross into the absurd, but not just for romance. Elphelt loves love, wishing deeply to experience it for herself.

She's not supposed to be able to feel love, you see, but recently she's found proof that maybe, just maybe… she can.

Despite her loopy tendencies, Elphelt can have a surprisingly grounded grasp on the world at times. She's an optimist, but she knows what it's like to go through hardships. Because of this, she never hesitates to extend a helping hand to others. Sure this might get her burned, but that's a price worth paying if it means someone else is saved!

history / background:

Once upon a time, Elphelt did not exist…

… And then, one day, she did!

Valentines originate from the Backyard, a place of magic that exists behind the scenes. Created by her "mother" the Universal Will, Elphelt was imbued with a mission and released unto the world. That being said, she didn't know what the mission was, she only knew that she had to find someone and do something and that she had emotions for some reason.

Oh well! That just means that she got to live a normal life for a while. During this time, she ended up getting engaged to a death metal singer! Wow! Good for her! She was all set to be married, too, but on the day of her wedding, the partying became so intense that her programming overloaded and she realized who she was. Unfortunately, this meant she didn’t get married :(

But, she also didn’t want to follow her orders, so she next did her best to try and find Sol Badguy, but she ended up finding the wrong guy (Ky Kiske). Oh well. Said guy also happened to be the king of an entire nation so she was detained. However! She was able to correctly predict that her sister would be released and wreak havoc. That landed her in the position of having to help Sol, Ky, and the others in order to stop her. So, not wanting anyone to get hurt, she helped! After this, not all of them trusted her still (Sol) but at least she did the right thing and her sister was taken into custody.

After this, with Ramlethal (her sister) in custody, she and Sin (son of Ky, was also there to stop Ram) decided to help her have fun and feel more comfortable while in custody. Thanks to these efforts, Ram started to feel more emotions (yay!) but the fun couldn’t last…

The Conclave (the world’s government, full of bad guys) had decided to revive… Justice! (*crickets*) (please see the entirety of Guilty Gear’s backstory for why this is bad)

So, Elphelt, naturally, wanted to help them as well! She was placed as defense in order to fend off some of the attackers. All was going well, but then uh…

She kinda… had her programming reactivated? Revealing that she was actually a sleeper agent this entire time? And then, no longer feeling any of her kindness and empathy, she attacked everyone and nearly destroyed them all? And she was actually supposed to destroy all of humanity too???

Thankfully, Sol was able to stop her (and he said some really nice things too! Good job Sol). But, unfortunately, she ended up being kidnapped by her “Mother”, the Universal Will. Um… well, hopefully she’ll be okay.

(Spoilers: she was okay)

powers / abilities: 

Power Nullification: Elphelt is able to stop the power of her sister Ramlethal in its tracks. It’s currently unknown whether this ability would work on anyone else

Power Limit Removed: A state Elphelt enters where her fighting limiter is taken off. She becomes far stronger magically and physically, capable of being a threat to the world. Unfortunately, this also overrides her emotions and reverts her back to the cold, unfeeling programming most Valentines are known to have. Kind of a double edged sword.

inherent abilities: 

Valentine Composition: Elphelt isn’t exactly a human: she’s far stronger, faster, and capable of using magic

items / weapons: 

Guns: One time a while back, Elphelt broke into a research facility and stole a bunch of magical guns that fire powerful magical bullets. Due to their purpose of overriding magic nullification, they will generally work even when other types of magic would not

Ms. Traveiller: A shotgun. Has a bow on it!

Ms. Confille: A… something gun. Has a rose on it!

Handgun: unnamed, but it has a cute little clover charm on it!

Bouquet: A really big bouquet of roses that Elphelt keeps strapped to her back. It contains a plethora of weapons including:

Strawberry bombs

Big cake cutter

Combat Roses

Cannon: A cannon that shoots magical cannonballs! Fairly self explanatory really

Cupid’s Bullet: Magical bullets that don’t kill… instead, they make whoever is struck by them fall in love with Elphelt! Yes this is a pretty strong ability, but don’t worry, she’s responsible!

I think your exos deserve a whole feast~ A full English Breakfast for Anna-2, complete with a massive stack of pancakes and waffles and bacon and a load of cake! (aka the breakfast of champions) Ash-19 should get a huge assortment of hero sandwiches, overloaded nachos, a gigantic pizza, and enough soda to flood a city block! Mist-13 on the other hand, She deserves an entire feast all to herself! a massive display that makes even the biggest thanksgiving dinners a run for their money, complete with giant turkeys and gravy and stuffing! and for anyone left hungry afterwards, there's always blueberry pie and icecream~

Back to their binging, the three exos were happily surprised by the feasts brought over to them. Anna, still unawares from the blue spot spreading across her body, happily began to dig into the feast of wonderful breakfast foods in front of her. Waffles, bacon, pancakes, and so much more were happily eaten. Just like before, her body continued to grow bigger and bigger. However, now her body began to swell on its own as well, her belly swelling out with blueberry juice, along with a soft layer of blubber around it. The rest of her body mimicked this same growth, growing fuller of thick, syrup like blueberry juice, while the constant fattening foods putting layer upon layer of fat onto her figure.

Ash, meanwhile, began to get into a more gluttonous mood, helping herself to one sandwich after another, with a handful of nachos here and there, and a slice of pizza on top of that. Add in the sugary flow of soda, and no one would be surprised at what was causing her figure to balloon out with fat. The more and more she ate, the more and more her lower half would fatten up, eventually tearing holes in her pants and exposed more of her widening hips. Even her belly began to expand out, the sweet soda filling her gut and letting it swell up more and more! By this point, her belly sounded like a carbonated blimp, as the bloated Hunter continued to help herself to more and more of the junk food and soda.

Mist on the other hand, looked over the feast in front of her and happily started to eat forkfuls of turkey and stuffing. Unlike the other two, Mist's figure likely fattened up even faster, the heavy foods leading to the Titan getting layer upon layer faster than her Hunter counterpart. Though, Mist seemed to be slowly but surely eating her way through the feast, relaxing and savoring it while only letting her gluttony lead the way every now and then. However, the Titan would quickly blush if she could as she heard her shirt tear open, feeling her belly jiggle and push out in front of her.

Back to Anna, the growing warlock let out a soft moan as she felt her body continue to grow fat and full of juice, only to turn over to the blueberry pie and ice cream with a gleeful and greedy eye. reaching over and helping herself to a slice, the Warlock blushed as she felt her body begin to swell faster, quickly starting to round out again as she ate slice after slice, not noticing her Titan friend taking the ice cream and eating it herself. Now there were two huge exos, side by side to a big, blue ball of blueberry syrup and blubber. Though, they could probably eat more if anyone offered~

My honest thoughts on new jeans and the new generation of k-pop.

First of all, those who produce newjeans are brilliant people, and those who write their music deserve special praise and attention. I have a few of my favorite tracks from this band and hum them almost every day, which is rare for me. I like the soft fresh sound of their voices. But to be honest to the end I want to say that even though they are all great dancers I sometimes feel like their performances are too focused on choreography and overloaded with it. The dancing itself is interesting and shows their style but I want to see more girls. Yes, they are beginners and very young so in my opinion sometimes overplayed with facial expressions, but the fact that they have a great future is undeniable! There will be big tours and given their vocal data they need to perform live, and with such choreography even super professional like Beyonce could not sing. They need more freedom and more live emotion on stage to see the girls they are in real life.

Now as for the new generation of K-pop. They are fresh new and for a new generation) When fanatics (not fans) start to write here and there that some new band "finished" exo or blackpink, it is not true in all senses. You may not like someone's music, but that's like writing that someone "finished" Whitney Houston or Queen just because their music is not as popular with young people today. Everyone has their own preferences and the point is how long the memory of these people and their music will live on. Only time is an indicator.

So listen to what makes you happy without looking back at others. Don't try to prove something to others and don't worry even if your favorite artists are losing ground to newcomers in the charts and in popularity. Time goes by and new favorites appear, it's the way the world is set up that people always want new things, but no one will take away from you what you really love).

Sure thing! I'll quickly summarise most important stuff we found out in each log and I'll put links to them for reading more. Here's the link to all logs in order in a playlist on Destiny Content Vault.

First log is a part of the mission and has some extra stuff going on, but the log itself is there to just establish what we'll be listening to. The narrator of the logs will be Chioma Esi, one of the founders of Neomuna and a Golden Age scientist of the Ishtar Collective. She tells us how Maya Sundaresh, her wife, picked her up with Exodus Indigo on their way to Neomuna just as the Collapse was happening around them.

The second log is immediately a huge lore drop about the Veil and the initial reaction that people had to it. It confirmed that the Veil had already been there before they arrived, that Maya immediately connected with it and it spoke to her in her own voice, as well as how it had an adverse effect on the Exos. Chioma also mentions how the Veil is a "thesis statement to the Von Neumann-Wigner hypothesis" which I mentioned very briefly in my post, but I do not have the knowledge to explain quantum and theoretical physics. However, other people do! Please check out this reddit post about this which goes in-depth in language as approachable as possible to understand how much this single sentence means in the grand scheme of things.

Third log! Chioma is suspicious about the Veil, but Maya insists that this is where they have to settle. It's confirmed that Neomuna nanotechnology comes from SIVA which was on board all Exodus ships, which includes Exodus Indigo. The nanotech helped them build settlements quickly, but not quickly enough before all of their Exos succumbed to the exposure of the Veil.

Log number four goes into some of the stuff about the Vex and their relationship with the Veil. The Vex quickly established themselves in Neomuna and started attacking the settlement, but were prevented from going too far into it, stopped by the Veil. The Vex retaliated by creating a "screen" that isolated Neomuna from the outside world. This made Neomuni safe, but also stuck with the Vex.

Fifth log was big, and mostly concerns with the Exos again. This one revealed to us that the Veil is capable of essentially breaking down the alkahest used to make the Exos function. The Veil's power "overloads" the Clarity aspect of alkahest and essentially erases the Exos, rendering them dead. Maya reveals that she wants to use the Veil to instead "fabricate consciousness" into the newly dead Exos. Chioma is sinking further into despair about Maya's behaviour. Osiris also poses the question if Nimbus knows more about how Cloud Striders are made, implying a possible link between them and the Veil's power.

Number six! This one continues in the same vein, showing us how they speculated about using SIVA, nanotechnology that functions similarly to radiolaria (but mechanical instead of biological), and components from both the Vex and dead Exos in order to create some technology or enhance the use of the nanotech. Osiris confirms that there does seem to be some link between the Vex and Cloud Strider technology.

Seventh log shows us further experimentation with the Veil. Maya managed to build a prototype interface for the Veil which consists of an "orchestra" and a "conductor:" multiple people would connect to the Veil with the interface and follow the conductor to sync up and control the input and output, especially to parse through the data. This was very risky and dangerous. Chioma is falling even deeper into despair over how unethical and dangerous what they're doing is.

Eight! Things get worse! Experiments with interfacing with the Veil proved entirely fatal for the whole team. Maya did not seem to care about this and only cared about valuable data, while Chioma was having harder and harder time dealing with the situation. Osiris also points out how similar this whole situation is to what the Witness had done to its species; how they all used the Veil to interface with it and merge into one.

Log number nine caught us all by surprise by revealing that Maya continued with the experiments and used previously dead Exos to "fabricate consciousness" into them; she hooked them up to the Veil's interface and fabricated a new consciousness into an Exo known as Lakshmi-2. We don't know how many consciousnesses were used to create this, but Maya also used her own, giving Lakshmi her own voice and some of her memories. Big implications for everything about Lakshmi, especially Lakshmi's involvement with the Future War Cult as their leader, given that the Future War Cult was founded by Maya Sundaresh in the Golden Age. It also brought some new perspective to Lakshmi's interest in the Spontaneous Exo Reset Syndrome, as well as possibly a bigger reason why Savathun sought to corrupt Lakshmi and remove her from the City. Here's also my post recaping Season of the Splicer after we learned about this, to clear some stuff about her and Savathun's corruption of her back then.

Tenth log tells us about Maya finally succeeding in connecting people to the Veil without casualties. Months and probably years of work eventually paid off and the Veil became a viable source of power for the Neomuni and this event is probably what paved the way for the CloudArk. The Veil is described as a web of consciousness and Chioma further explains why the Vex might want it, as it would allow them to run paracausal simulations, something they aren't capable of doing currently. Chioma recognises that this should be a moment to celebrate, but she can't because she knows the Veil is dangerous but now there's a whole civilisation built on it.

Eleventh log was short and sad. Chioma tells us how she found Maya dead, alone, in the conductor's chair. It's unclear what she was doing and how she died. Chioma is unsettled by Lakshmi who is half-Maya, but "developmentally incomplete" and has her quarantined. Maya most likely died communing with the Veil, which has interesting implications for her consciousness.

Log number twelve tells us a few things about Neomuna's knowledge about what was going on outside of Neptune. Chioma detected Rasputin waking up in the Dark Age by monitoring her ex-work station on Hyperion, the moon of Saturn. Rasputin detected Neomuna and gave it a classification of "Nefele Stronghold." Chioma decided to send a Cloud Strider, Stargazer, to Earth to erase records of Neomuna, not because they wanted to keep their secrets or to save themselves from Warlords (although that must've also been a factor), but primarily to protect the outside world from the dangers of the Veil.

Thirteenth log shows us Chioma deciding to shut down the whole facility known as Veil Containment. She decided to hide it all and not to leave this mess on other people's conscience. She understood that there's nothing else to do and that Neomuna will go on, but that nobody else needs to know how they got to where they are. We're told that there's a Vex signature crawling through the logs, identified as "MSund12."

Number fourteen is where we end for now. Chioma reminds us about how the Ishtar scientists got exposed to the Vex and simulated by them 227 times, fully confirming that the "MSund12" Vex signature is one of Vex!Maya copies (number 12). Chioma decided that there's nothing more left to do or tell and that she made contact with the Vex, presumably to end her life with the hope that by doing so through the Vex, she will return to the Vex Collective and find Maya there. Osiris recaps things for us, reminding us again that the Veil is "the power of consciousness made manifest" and that the Traveler and the Light are the power of the physical world. He recognises the risks here, despite the great power being offered.

This gave us incredible insight into the Veil as a paracausal object and what it represents. Paired with the Witness cutscene, we learned a lot about what it means and how it's used. It's a paracausal entity with great powers over consciousess and the mind, capable of transferring, deleting or creating consciousness. It seems to parallel the Light and the Traveler which are both firmly based in the power of the physical world. Somehow, these two entities have been connected before and can connect again.

The Witness' species used the Veil to fuse their entire civilisation into a single being and set off in the pursuit of the Final Shape. The Veil was also specified as being somehow connected to the Traveler in the past, but that they've become separate and that the Traveler has since been avoiding coming back in contact with it. When the Witness attempted to connect them again for the first time, the Traveler fled and has been fleeing ever since. And now that the Witness caught up with it and finally did what it always wanted to do, a mysterious portal has been opened into a realm of unknown power and origin with unknown consequences to both the Traveler and the universe itself. All of this was made possible only with the Veil which means that the Veil's paracausal power of consciousness must have something important to do with it. Both the Witness and Maya Sundaresh were using the Veil to move and fabricate consciousness, though Maya worked a little bit smaller in scale.

Still, all of this is a great deep dive into some of the most mysterious aspects of the setting. The Veil is still a complicated paracausal entity, but the Traveler remains so as well. Possibly even more so right now. The link between the Traveler and the Veil is still left to explore, especially with how and why they are capable of opening a portal to an unknown dimension when they come in contact. This will for sure be in some way explored in the future, either in seasons themselves, the two remaining Veil Logs or maybe we'll have to wait for The Final Shape to know more. Either way, there's something going on here, in their connection and their parallels and their opposites; something needed to open a portal to a mysterious realm that has been described as "place of new wonders and old memories."

And yes, there's two Veil Logs remaining! One will be available next week when the next season starts and then the final one will be ready in the final season of the year. They've confirmed this in an article with the commentary on the Veil Log quest as a whole and their goals with it. I talked about it here, it's really interesting!

He’s a relatively light sleeper so you actually avoid sleeping in the same bed as him for a while and he only finds out when you accidentally fall asleep on his couch. It isn’t even that bad, but it still isn’t exactly sexy. For Xiumin though, as less about the snore itself and more about your sore throat in the morning. He goes with you to the doctor to make sure you’re okay~ “You were so worried over such a little thing? Haha, you’re such a worrier honey~”

SUHO

He wonders how much a large sound can come out of such a small person lol. He’s actually more concerned about your health than anything else so when he brings it up, it’s actually to tell you that he made an appointment for you with your doctor. Don’t be fooled though, he thinks your cute no matter what and he has at least one secret video of you snoring into your pillow. “Are you free this day babe? Good, your sleeping noises are getting louder so I talked to your doctor~~ please get checked so I know my babe is healthy~ ” he won’t call it snoring cause that’s not nice lmao

LAY

Actually usually sleeps through your snores. Despite being a somewhat light sleeper, he’s just really comfortable around you so hearing you snore is almost a comfort sound? Like when he hears it, he knows your safe and he can really relax. He does look into it though and offers nasal strips to help you sleep better after a particularly loud snore fest that wakes him up. “Huh? What’s that? Yes darling?.......that was a snore?....goodness I think the neighbors might be able to hear.”

BAEKHYUN

He thinks you’re really really really cute when you snore since it isn’t consistent, more like it happens when you sleep a certain way but he still wonders if you should see a doctor. He still teases you about it though, and has more videos then is probably possible of you sleeping. But they’re only for his eyes!  “You shouldn’t let you’re guard down like that jagi~ You never know what I’ll do to you in your sleep~” record you lmao

CHEN

You don’t even realize you snore yourself so when Chen brings it up you’re really embarrassed but he doesn’t seem phased at all. If anything he feels partly to blame since he sleeps with his head pretty much on your chest and that can’t be too good. He suggests going to a doctor but still clings to you at night. He kinda likes the rumble your chest makes and since one of his ears is covered it really doesn’t bother him. “Huh? You didn’t know snored? It isn’t bad babe~ You’re still perfect to me~”

CHANYEOL

“Nope can’t deal with this, I’m out.” LMAOOOO JK

SOoooo, the first time he hears your snore, he actually accidentally smacked you, thinking it was his alarm. When he realizes it’s you though, he feels absolutely terrible. But after that, he doesn’t really mind. It doesn’t bother him since he actually likes to have music on if he can. As long as he can cuddle you, and your snore isn’t serious, he’s perfectly content. “Babe! Baby! OMGI’MSOSORRYIHITYOUPLEASEDON’TBEMADIDIDN’TKNOWITWASYOU!!!” he didn’t even hit you hard but now you can use it again him :P

Stressed not because you’re snoring but because he doesn’t know what to do or say about it to you.Would that be rude? How does he bring something like that up? He doesn’t want to embarrass you. But he’s also kinda concerned for your health? Rather then lose sleep over your snoring, he’s losing sleep from all his overthinking. Finally he tells you though, looking more like a scared mouse lol but he means well and actually didn’t think much of your snoring to begin with. “How do you tell someone they snore without being mean?...I don’t want to hurt their feelings...this is hard.”

Another sleeper on the heavier side, it also takes him a while to notice, mainly because you only snore when you’re in a really deep sleep. When he does finally notice, he’s surprised but also happy you’re so relaxed with him around. He also uses it as an opportunity to get new better pillows and just things overall to make sleep more comfortable.  “Check this out babe~ This air infuser is suppose to help you sleep better~ Let’s get it!” 

SEHUN

Even when you think he’s the one who would be the most sassy and blunt about it, he’s strangely also kind? You’re so perfect in his eyes that it’s almost a relief that you have a flaw. He has tons of videos of you sleeping which you find and that’s how you find out you snore at all. When you ask him about it he plays it off bashfully.  “If you didn’t have a flaw I would be nervous you were actually an angel and not real. Besides, you’re so cute clinging to me and making your little noises~” maybe he’s so sassy he’s evolved to be nice sassy???????

This may sound weird, but I think Sehun may find it hard to return love, especially in the romantic sense. I mean, he’s the youngest in his family plus the youngest in exo, so he’s been overloaded on love and affection. Obviously, that love is different compared to being in a committed relationship. So, for him, it might take him a while to open up. I think to back that knowing bros ep where Baek said that Sehun wasn’t interested in women (I took it as he wasn’t interested in dating), and I believe Hun said he wasn’t interested in marriage until he turned 30. I wonder if it’s just his lack of interest or that he might be somewhat afraid/concerned about opening up to someone else.

Sorry for this was really random, but I don’t have any exol friends to talk to about this stuff lol. 😂

and i agree with you! i think sehun might have some issues to talk about his feelings in general, tbh - at least that's how i see him. he has always been the maknae, so i bet he was spoiled and loved so much, but that can make you feel like "okay how do i pay back all this love? what do i have to do?", you know? so he has his own way of showing love, i think i've commented with a friend that sehun is the loyalist person i know when it comes to a group. that's just him, i think.
