Tis the season for a Mystery Skulls Animated reblog!

I’ve just released a whole bunch of Mystery Skulls Animated stickers on Red Bubble now available at www.redbubble.com/people/art-expression As for why there are so many, well it was my initial plan to produce a single page of eight for each main character but halfway through the project I suddenly realised that Red Bubble would very likely shrink the entire page down to a minuscule size so better to release each design individually. Besides, a friend pointed out to me that seeing as I had genuinely eight ideas for each character, I would of gone crazy trying to narrow them down to, say, three and wouldn’t of stopped thinking about the ones that I hadn’t drawn so better to just carry on, draw them all and let my customers make their own decisions on exactly which ones they liked and how many to buy! The concept of Mystery Skulls Animated and its characters are a creation of Ben “Mystery Ben” Mangum. Permission to sell fanart based on the series has been granted here: Mystery Ben’s Blog

Previous Tiny Dragons

How it started: While casually scrolling through Tumblr, I came across a bit of artwork by @yourmypenguin depicting a few scenes from “Powerless” (which can be read HERE) a Sanders Sides superhero au fic by @impatentpending​

Intrigued by what was going on in the artwork (which can be found HERE) and their description that the fic was considered a “fandom classic,” I decided to give it a quick look and yeah, yep, I became completely immersed in this exceedingly well-written tale of heroes and villains and went on a drawing craze over the next few months trying to get all my emotions out! As you do!

Side Note: I feel like I have to make a bit of a disclaimer here as when it comes to shipping in the Sanders Sides fandom, I am very much on the platonic/ famILY side of things but if we are talking a vastly different AU with characters who bare only a surface level resemblance, both physically and mentally, to their canon counterparts then, sure, I can get behind a beautifully written romance revolving around the jock/emo dynamic! That being said, I might as well still mark this with the ‘prinxiety” and “logicality” tags as they fit this post!

“Watch it Burn and Rust” by @delimeful

I finally got around to reading Delimeful’s most famous series “Watch it Burn and Rust” (or WIBAR for short), a Sanders Sides space AU about a group of ragtag aliens and their human flying around the galaxy trying to make a living and staying one step ahead of pirates and smugglers of the Black Market!

This series is so endearing and full of imaginative world-building, I just had to try and get down my interpretations of the crew of the Mindscape with a couple of sketches! Plus two doodles from the AU of this AU, “The End of Being Alone,” in which Virgil is a small child when the others first meet him!
