prompt for you: "Say you never loved me. Say it." i love me some angst 🤪
“Fal,” his gentle voice shakes her from her thoughts, followed by three equally as soft raps on the door that separates them. “I got your text. You wanted to talk?”
“You can come in.” Her voice comes out just strong enough so he can hear it on the opposite side of the wall, unable to annunciate her words any louder than she needed to. She looks over at the white dress hanging on the mannequin, the dress that wouldn’t be finding its way to her own curves after all today. A dress that was full of promises and a brighter future that weren’t going to become reality anymore. It’s funny how fast things could change, how in the blink of an eye something could rattle her whole world and change the course of her entire life. “I’m not in my dress.”
“Hey, babe,” he greets her immediately. He’s already dressed in his midnight black tux, the one he was no doubt going to be waiting for her in at the end of the isle. Liam leans in to kiss her her cheek, and it causes her heart to sink a little in her chest when she has to reject the touch. And then when she sees his face fall at the rejection, feeling the crack get a little wider in her chest. “Is everything okay, Fal?”
“Not really, Liam.”
She keeps her eyes on the floor, not emotionally strong enough to look at him with her blue eyes, knowing they were shimmering with sadness and that’d be pick up on it quickly. She couldn’t look at him with his own sad eyes when she knew the only thing she was about to do was break his heart into tiny little pieces, like glass shattering into millions of pieces.
“What’s going on?”
“It’s just that…” Rip off the band-aid, she tells herself before finally just letting the words slip out of her mouth, even though they stung and tore at everything in her inner core. Because as much as it was going to hurt, she had to do it anyways. Delaying it was only going to prolong and further the hurt the both of them were feeling. “I don’t think we should do this.”
“Do what?” His face scrunches together, narrow eyes and creased eyebrows; a glossy glaze of hurt and confusion settle in his blue retinas, already shimmering with little pools of water. “I’m not sure I understand what you’re saying, Fallon.”
“I don’t think we should go through with this,” she says, words unsteady but she can only hope they’re strong enough for him to buy every single word that rolls off her tongue. “The wedding, that is.”
“What?” There’s an obvious hurt in his voice, in his face, and the only thing she wants to do is fall into his arms and take it all back, take back every vicious word she’s hurling at him. But she can’t, and that tears at her in a way she didn’t think was even possible. Mostly because she never thought they’d actually be here in this moment, ending things before they ever really got to begin. “Fallon, what are you talking about?”
She crosses her arms across her chest before quickly unfolding them, swift to realize he’d notice that action as an anxious habit of hers; that when she did that she was trying to coil herself away from the world. “I don’t think we should get married after all.”
“What?” There’s an obvious shock there laced in his tone, breathy and disbelief. “Is everything okay?” He steps forward, reaching his hand to grab at her but she pushes herself back again, refusing the comfort his arms always provided her. She knew if she just let him step even the slightest bit closer she’d fall apart and fall right into his arms. And that would ruin everything. “Where is this coming from?”
“I just don’t think I feel the same way anymore.”
And then he’s laughing, shiny white pearls sparkling before her as that grin of his beams before. The smile that melted her whenever his lips curved up, still possessing that same power in that very moment. And the fact that she couldn’t just smile back at him, couldn’t let her own body form the same reaction when it was all she wanted to do was harder to control than she imagined. “Sorry, but I just don’t believe you.”
“Well, you should,” she says, spitting the words out with as much venom laced into them as she can muster up, which if she’s honest with herself - the sound that comes out of her is incredibly weak and not at all convincing. “Cause I’m not walking down that isle today.”
“Fallon, what has gotten into you?” His hand runs through his hair, a sign of stress. Stress that she could usually take away from him with a touch of her hand, but this time…it wasn’t so simple. Because this time, she was the cause of that stress herself. “Did your parents get to you? Was it Alexis? Did your mom say something to make you start second guessing everything?”
Her voice starts to rise, frustration building at the fact that this couldn’t just end quickly. The fact that she had to keep putting on a brave face and make it look like she wasn’t falling apart inside. “No, Liam, I just don’t want to do this anymore.”
She pulls at the shiny square cut diamond at her finger, sliding it off before throwing the peach diamond in his direction. She watches it fall to the floor at this feet, his eyes trailing along with it before he looks up at her with the most heartbroken look she’s ever seen etched onto his face. There’s tears sparkling in his eyes, little pools of water forming at the creases. She even notices the tears start to slip out of the corner of his eyes. And then there’s just pain everywhere else, pain that she caused and would never forgive herself for.
And in that moment, she feels numb.
“You woke up in my arms this morning and told me you loved me,” he chokes out the words when he talks, the words getting caught in his throat, a stream of tears steadily running down his cheeks. “What changed between then and now? Tell me, Fallon. What changed?”
“I realized I never felt that way about you.”
“Say you never loved me. Say it,” he spits out through gritted teeth. An anger and frustration appear in his eyes that she’s never seen before, and especially not with her. No, he’d always looked at her with such adoration and love and warmth. He’d been so calm and forgiving and patient with her - this tone of his depicted anything but those things. “Say it and I’ll walk away. No questions asked.”
Her heart sinks in her chest, words stuck in her throat as she tries to spit them out with as much belief and conviction she could portray. But she’s stuck, because she can’t say those words with honesty and conviction, no matter how much she needed to in that moment.
“You can’t can you?” He asks softly. “You can’t say it.”
The words eventually come out sad, tired, and full of regret. She wonders then if he could see right through her, see right through the lies she spurring at him. “I never loved you.”
Liam takes one step closer to her, looking into her eyes that were brimming with tears; tiny salty droplets escaping the corners as she tried her damned hardest to keep them all back. Like this wasn’t tearing her apart, like this wasn’t making her heart sink, like there wasn’t a brick sitting atop her chest.
Like this is what she wanted to do to him.
“Bullshit,” he snaps before spinning away with so much force and conviction, so much anger that she’d never even painted on him before.
His hand is just reaching for the doorknob when she speaks up, a small little squeak escaping her lips that’s barely above a whisper. She’s surprised herself when she hears the weak voice come out of her. “I’m sorry.”
His hand halts on the silver knob, turning around slowly to face her again. “Did this mean anything to you? Did I mean anything to you?”
“Liam,” her voice comes out in a desperate cry, wishing and pleading that he could just see the truth in her eyes.
But he can’t, because that would only make things worse.
And as much as it killed her in that current moment, she knew it was for the better.
“Save it, Fallon,” he erupts in anger, cutting her off before she even had a chance to continue. “The only thing I’ve ever wanted was for you to be happy,” he mutters sadly. "I hope you get everything you truly hoped for.”
The door slams behind him, angry and unforgiving, before she finally allows herself to sink to her knees and let everything that’d been bubbling inside her escape. Letting the tears fall down her face without his watchful eyes on her, seeing right through her like he always did, ruining everything that’d been set in motion within the last hour. She wipes angrily at her cheeks, rubbing away the tears with such force and aggression she was sure she’d be leaving a mark.
But she didn’t care about that, no.
Not right now, not when her future, her entire world just walked out that door with reason to believe she didn’t love him anymore. Not when she didn’t know if he’d ever forgive her for the actions she just took, for the hurt she just caused him, even if it wasn’t her choice and it very well could have saved his life.
There’s an emptiness that takes over her fast, the feeling of just wanting him to open that door and take her into his arms and tell her everything was going to be okay. But that wasn’t going to happen and that reality hurt - maybe more than anything had ever hurt her in her life. Her heart aches in her chest, breathing heavy and unregulated as she’s unable to stop the heavy flow of tears escaping from her eyes, the peach diamond shining through those salty droplets as it sat on the floor in front of her.
She crawls forward, grabbing at her peach colored engagement ring through her blurry vision and pushing it right back down on her ring finger - where it belong and should have been this entire time. She holds it against her chest, right above her beating heart, trying to let the diamond bring her a comfort she was pretty sure was not going to come. She can only sit there through the pain and tears, hoping for a future where he understands why she did what she just did to him. That one day, everything can go back to exactly the way things were.
The figure lurking from behind the curtain appears from the shadows, a heavy dense air circulating again as soon as she felt his presence once more. She doesn’t even need to turn her head to know he’s there, eyes watching on her as she fell apart on the oak floors. It was part of his ultimatum, after all, for him to be able to watch the whole thing from the sidelines and hidden away from view; able to see she accomplished the deed first hand so she wouldn’t be able to have the upper hand in the situation.
“You got what you wanted,” she spits out before turning to find those dark eyes that would haunt her for the rest of her life staring back at her. “Are you happy?”
“I just hate seeing you so sad,” he says with fake sincerity. “That wasn’t my intention.”
“You told me you’d toss my fiancé to the bottom of a lake like I did your sister if I didn’t end it with him. While you held a gun to my head, might I add,” she yells back, raising her voice and not even caring anymore what that would mean for her. “What exactly was your intention?”
“For you to realize you loved me,” he says. “That I was your hero.”
“Go fuck yourself, Evan.”

The best way to spend a non-Dynasty Saturday (yeah time zones suck) is to read the absolutely amazingly gorgeous Falliam fics that are being showered for Falliam Frenzy. I love all of them so much. I tried finding most of them, pardon me if I missed any. Would love to read those too.

Falliam Frenzy Week 1
My very last minute Falliam Frenzy Week 1 fic! I meant to post this earlier today but life got away from me. I’ve never written anything before so I hope you like it! Thanks to @ladysantebellum and @fallonsliam for organizing Falliam Frenzy and for inspiring me to write something!
My take on 3x6 Liam asks Fallon for a favor
What are you afraid of?
She wakes up early before the sun has even come up. She feels exhausted. Not just physically, but mentally as she recalls everything that happened yesterday. Liam showing up with a box of her things, asking for his stuff back. Trying to buy Femperial back. Kirby accusing her of making this about Liam. Leading Evan on.
She invited Evan over to the manor last night with every intention of trying to move on. She kissed him and invited him inside for a drink. Then the annoying voice in the back of her mind started saying he’s not Liam. He’s not Liam. He’s not Liam. Instead of two glasses of wine, she made two cups of coffee and they sat at the kitchen table catching up. Evan was a nice guy. Yes he was cute, had a good job, but he wasn’t Liam. How was she ever going to be able to move on when she couldn’t stop thinking about him. She ended up telling Evan she was tired and walked him to the front door. He leaned into kiss her goodnight and at the last second she turned her head so he kissed her cheek.
What a disaster that was. Her mind then went to what happened before she invited Evan over. Giving Liam his things back. Saying I love you to Liam. Saying goodbye to Liam.
She missed him so much. How was she ever going to move on from the love of her life. The only person who ever knew the real her. She couldn’t stop thinking about him but at the same time didn’t want to think about him for too long. She was in love with him and it scared her how deeply she felt for him. Even more, it scared her how it was over.
Ok, she thought. That’s enough thinking about him today. But everything reminded her of him. She needed a break from Atlanta, a break from her life. New York? No, the last time she had been there was with him. She couldn’t go anywhere with a beach since they had been planning their trip together. No ski lodges since that reminded her of the disaster that was Sun Valley. London? Yes that would work, she didn't have any memories that involved Liam and London. Hopefully it would be cold and rainy there to match how she felt.
She grabs her phone to call the flight crew to get the Carrington jet ready as she starts to pack. She has no idea how long she’ll be gone for, no plans. She thinks about inviting Sam or Monica but decides she just needs to get away by herself for a while.
Suitcase in hand, she heads downstairs. Thankfully, it’s early enough that no one else is awake and there's only minimal staff around. She opens the front door and standing before her, hand raised about to knock is Liam.
“Liam? What are you doing here?”
He stares at her for a while before responding. “The masquerade party.”
“What?”
“Fallon, I remember the masquerade party. It came back to me last night as I was going through the box you gave me. I remember you were wearing a black and white dress….” he trails off as he looks at the suitcase in her hand. “I’m sorry...are you going somewhere?”
“Never mind this...what were you just saying?”
“It’s kind of foggy but I remember”
Her heart aches at what he’s telling her. Could he really be starting to remember her and what they shared?
“Come inside, let me make you a cup of coffee.” She says as she leads him inside to the kitchen. She makes two cups of coffee, knowing exactly how he likes his. She takes out her phone to discreetly text the flight crew she wouldn’t be needing the jet after all. She wasn’t going anywhere, not if Liam was starting to remember her.
She sat the cup of coffee in front of him and they both sat there in silence for a moment before she finally speaks up. “So, tell me exactly what happened.”
Liam begins telling her how looking at the masquerade mask sparked a memory of that night. He recounts the events in perfect detail she almost thinks she’s dreaming. “I remember you came up to dance with me and confessed how scared you were of getting hurt and you said I think I’m in love with you. And I told you I knew I was in love with you and I had been for awhile”.
“Is that all you remember so far?”
“So far, yes. It’s crazy Fallon and I don’t know how long it’ll take for me to remember everything but I suddenly have this feeling I can’t walk away from you. I know I told you I needed some time alone and I don’t want to hurt you if I can’t remember everything but I need to see if this works. I feel this connection to you that I can’t explain. Will you do me a favor?”
“A favor?”
“Yeah” he replies suddenly seeming a little nervous. “...will you help me with a highlight reel of our relationship?”
“Liam I already showed you pictures and that didn’t work.”
“No, not pictures. An actual highlight reel. Look Fallon, I’ve had two flashes of memories come back and they were because of something physical. Outside the courthouse and the mask. I understand if this would be too hard on you, but please?”
She realizes what he was asking her. This would be too painful if it didn’t work. She wasn’t sure she could do this.Reliving their entire relationship? It would be like twisting a knife in her heart. She didn’t want to lose him but at the same time didn’t want to break her heart all over again if he couldn’t remember everything.
“Please Fallon. What are you afraid of? What’s the worst that could happen? What if I remember everything about you again?”
“What if you don’t?” She says a little too forcefully. “Liam… I don’t think this is a good idea. For me.”
“I’m sorry.” He muttered, seeming embarrassed. “It’s pretty stupid I’m sorry I asked.”
“No. It’s not stupid at all.”
Liam stares at her with this strange, unreadable expression on his face. After a moment he finally says “what did you just say?”
“It’s not stupid at all…?”
“You’ve said that before. We were laying in bed surrounded by pillows I think?”
She realizes in this moment she can’t give up on him. As crazy as this idea seems, even if it doesn’t work. Because Liam fought for her time and time again. She needs to do the same for him. It would break her heart into a million pieces all over again if it didn’t work but she was willing to try.
“Ok.” She finally says at last. “Where should we begin?”

"please stay"
Huge thank you for @ladysantebellum and @fallonsliam for giving me an opportunity to express myself and the best work they did with organizing this event. I suck when it comes to tumblr so it isn't look so pretty as I want but I hope you will enjoy the content.
They came back to the Manor from The La Perla party. It was just after 11 pm. The night wasn’t perfect, her mother’s presence and Jeff Colby weren’t the perfect addition to the perfect first date, but Fallon had fun with Liam tonight, but obviously Liam didn’t. Something definitely was on his mind what made him sad and pensive.
“It was really nice evening.” Fallon said with gentle yet seductive smile on her face.
“ Yes, it was.” Liam answered, but Fallon could sense that something was wrong with him. Liam mumbled something what sounds like “goodnight”, he kissed her cheek and then he turned around and went to his room. Fallon walked into her room and closed the door behind her. She didn’t know what went wrong. She was lovely and sexy and she didn’t say anything stupid like she used to when she was around boys she likes. And she definitely likes Liam and she thought he liked her too.
Fallon took a quick shower, dried her hair and she put on lingerie, nothing sexy, just classic but this could affect Liam’s imagination. She went to his room. The door was partly open. She opened it and walked into.
“Knock knock.” she said with a smile, but that what she saw wiped the smile from her face. He was packing his things.
“ What are you doing?”
“ I’m packing.” Liam looked like a child caught on candy’s stealing. He didn’t expect Fallon at this time.
“ Our contract is clearly saying that I should leave the manor till midnight. It’s almost 12.30 am so I need to hurry up cause I missed deadline.” he quickly came back to being charming and amusing.
“ Don’t worry, I won’t call out our bodyguards to throw you out of the gate. You can stay here till morning.” Fallon smiled widely and sat on a bed.
“ You also can finish packing at the morning. “ Fallon added so that there would be no awkward silence between them.
“Thanks Fallon, but I’d rather do it right now. In the morning I will make sure I took everything.” Liam came closer to bed and looked at Fallon. She was thinking that he wanted to touch her or maybe even kissed her and then it hit her. She realized she was sitting on his clothes. She stood up and sat next to them. She felt her cheeks blushed. She is Fallon Carrington, she’s never blushed. But the heat of her skin proved that she wasn’t completely herself when Liam Ridley was near. But he seemed to not seeing her shame, he was still absorbed in packing his stuff.
“ You wanted to leave without saying goodbye, didn’t you?” she said sadly and when he raised his head, she knew he could sense the sadness in her voice.
“No, of course not.” he replied but this was the most dishonest answer she’s ever heard.
“Liar.” Fallon felt a metaphorical needle sticking into her heart. She’s never felt it before. Not even with Culhane, but with guy whom she knows a few days.
“ I wouldn’t go without goodbye.” Liam stopped packing, set his backpack on the floor and sat next to her on the bed.
“ I could not do it to you. But I think we both know it’s time for me to go.”
“ Didn’t you enjoy our date?” she knew she sounded a little bit desperate but she didn’t care about it then.
“ I did Fallon, really. I did enjoy our date. It was a wonderful night and also the last couple of days.” maybe unconsciously but he laid his hand on hers and squeezed.
“ So what is wrong?” she said. She looked deeply into Liam’s eyes. Her sight let him know that she would know when he would lie again. He took a deep breath and said.
“ I started to feel something for you Fallon. Seriously. I don’t know what exactly it is but I know it’s something.”
Fallon couldn’t see herself but she was sure her eyes were shining and her face was more red than before. She smiled shyly. Liam’s face was completely different. He didn’t blush like a virgin teenager. His face was tense and Fallon could barely read any emotions from it. He squeezed her hand more tightly.
“ Also I know that I couldn’t start nothing serious with you knowing that I lied to you since the beginning.”
“ What are you talking about? Is it a joke?” Fallon wrenched her hand free.
“ That woman, who we met in church on your grandfather’s funeral had right. She was old coworker of my parents John and Laura. “
“ Wait a minute.” Fallon stood up and came closer to the windows. “ That means your name is…”
“Jack” Liam said. He wanted to get closer to her but she stepped back.
“ Why did you lie in the courthouse that you are Liam Ridley? “ she reached her hand in front of her to let him understand that she didn’t want him to get closer to her.
“ I didn’t. “ Liam knew he screwed up and Fallon was angry at him. He needed to calm her down and made her listen to him.
“ Please, let me explain everything.” he stepped away to give her space.
“ You have two minutes. “ she folded her arms.
“ Please sit down” Liam came to her and he pointed to the bed. She decided to sit but she tried to avoid his touch. Liam understood her intention and kept his distance. Fallon sat on the bed and crossed her legs. She sent him eloquent look to let him know he could start talking.
“ Clock is ticking, one minutes left.”
“ Okay “ he sighed and he knelt in front of her. Fallon recalled her business class about body language.
He gave her a sign humbling himself before her that he gave up his resistance and he wanted to be completely honest with her.
“ My full name is Jack Liam Ridley Lowden Van Kirk. My parents are John Lowden and Laura Van Kirk - shareholders of Van Kirk Industries in New York.” Fallon raised her eyebrows and she looked at Liam’s face and it seemed like he didn’t lie. She heard about Van Kirks. They are rich and powerful like Carringtons, some big and small scandals. Maybe she even heard about his Liam’s parents, maybe Blake met them a couple years ago.
“ Okay but why you introduced yourself as Liam Ridley?”
“ I changed my name a few years ago. My family’s mess very complicated my career and also my personal life. I’ve decided to cut myself off of them, started new life with new name and crystal clear card in Atlanta. Now I’m officially Liam Ridley. But some people still know me as Jack Lowden. People like Julia Haart or...”
“ Julia knows who you are?” she interrupted his sentence in half a word.
“ She does. I worked with her company last year during the promotion for Vanity Fair. That’s why I’ve acted that weird. I was afraid that someone would ask you about me.” he really wanted her to believe his words but he knew it’s all sound like a crazy story from stupid Hallmark movie.
“ So you didn’t want me to know who you truly are?” she was definitely disappointed. Another man in her life who failed her.
“ Honestly I didn’t. But not because I wanted to lie you. It’s because this is my real life. You’re part of Liam Ridley’s life, not Jack Lowden. I just didn’t expect this whatever is between us will survive. It was supposed to be for one day and then we would go our separate ways. ” he laid his hands on hers and squeezed them. It took several seconds before he could raised his head and looked into her eyes and it took another several minutes for either of them to break the silence.
“ You know how insane your story sounds? “ he didn’t see tears in her eyes but he could hear how her voice broke.
“ Trust me I would sound more insane if I told you this story the day we met on the bench.” it was funny that he asked her to trust him. He was totally sure he’s the last person on Fallon Carrington’s trust list.
“ Anyway, I will take the rest of my stuff and go. I will not impose you anymore.” he released her hand and stood up.
“ Wait.” she said and stood between him and door. Liam was a little bit disorientated.
“ Look I appreciate that you told me the truth about your past and I understand why you didn’t tell me about it before, because it’s almost intimate and I’m like a stranger for you while you are my husband and I am your wife. Or was… It’s past midnight. “ Fallon felt stupid right now and she was talking through her hat, but she realized something. She realized she wasn’t ready to let Liam Ridley go.
“ Anyway you lied to me and you made me think that I am hopeless date, which I’m a great date, but it isn’t the worst thing someone did to me and I feel I can forget you, because you don’t know so many things about me too but you can know if you want to. And I totally feel that I’m talking bullshit. And I always talk like this when I’m talking with a guy I like.” Fallon said with clenched teeth. She was sure she was as red as a tomato and she probably embarrassed herself. But she felt light too. It was the first time she told someone she liked how she felt and it was a great feeling. She was also happy this person was Liam.
“ I like you Liam… Or Jack… But I’d rather call you Liam. I like you. “ she said it twice, in less than one minute, in the same sentence. Fallon never believes she was able to do it. What this man is doing to her?
“ I like you too Fallon Carrington.” Liam answered. His eyes were full of happiness and relief. He touched her chin and closed his mouth to hers and kissed her. It was only their second kiss but Fallon knew that the taste of his lips was her favorite. He broke it and she smiled and giggled like a little girl.
“ I’m not going to keep you in the Manor, you can go back to your place. But I really want to know you better and you to know me better. Please stay, stay in my life.”

Falliam Frenzy Fic Week 1!
I haven’t written anything in a while but Fallon and Liam made me do it.
Thank you to @ladysantebellum and @fallonsliam for organizing this whole thing! Can’t wait to see what you guys will come up with over the next few weeks.
December 8th - December 14th
“Please stay.” or “What are you afraid of?”
AU in which Fallon intentionally stepped out of Liam’s life
One way or another, you knew you were going to see him again eventually. It will never be a question of if and you’re sure, one way or another, it will hurt like a bitch.
Your circle is small. There would always be a business partner who has a friend who has a private wine tasting event at her vineyard or a friend of a friend who was hosting a charity event for some random cause.
This time, it was someone’s son who—despite not having an ounce of artistic talent—has a stupid art gallery opening. It was one of the most mind numbing events you’ve been to in a while and really, that was saying something.
You find yourself having conversations you would definitely forget the second it comes out of your mouth.
You find yourself drinking all the champagne and cocktails of the passing servers.
You find yourself wandering around aimlessly, not really looking at anything because it was all so stupid until you find the double door opening out onto the balcony. A little drunk and without a care in the world, you push open the doors and exhale deeply, finally.
God, how long have you been holding that in? You hear in his voice.
You sigh again as you feel the tears starting to build up at the back of your eyeballs, your never ending headache flares up.
“No,” you say adamantly to your tear ducts. “Stop it, don’t you do it!”
“I’m not exactly sure what you want me to stop doing…” Your heart stops, the booze in your system drains out of your body as quickly as you’ve drank it. This really isn’t happening right now.
“I’m pretty sure it is though.” You face him, not caring that you actually said the last part out loud, and see that he’s smirking.
For a split second, you see recognition enter his eyes and your blood soars up to your head. Your heart pounds in your chest and that feeling that has been absent for the past few months hits you in full force. Hope.
“Fallon?”
“Liam.”
“How—how are you?”
How am I? You think incredulously. Well, the last time I slept soundly was when you were beside me so you can only imagine how bitchy I’ve been. You would be so proud though, I exercise now because if I can’t sleep, I need to release all this pent up energy. Sam calls it anger. At the world. At you, even. Oh and yeah, it was my brother who almost killed you so I left you without saying anything. So when I lay on the bed at night—not sleeping and without you beside me—I think this is all okay because you’re safe and out of the hell I’ve put you through.
“I’m great! Sleeping well, 8 hours of sleep and all that.”
“That’s… good to hear,” he smiles.
An eternity passes on this random balcony. You can hear the people from the gallery still chatting away but you don’t think about that now or anything at all. Everything becomes muted. Your sole focus is him, zeroed in on his face.
He looks away and you know your staring affected him. You don’t care though because this might be the last time you’ll see him this close for a while so you’re going to take everything you can get.
“Okay. I’ll get going then,” he started, ready to turn his body away. Maybe forever.
“No,” you say breathlessly. “Please stay.”
He stops and after a sigh, gives you his shy smile. He stands rooted in his place and the world quiets down further. It’s only the two of you again, in your own little bubble.
“Look, Fallon. I never really thanked you for visiting me at the hospital.”
“Don’t mention it,” you say. Really, please don’t mention it.
“I know we didn’t end in good terms. I mean I’m assuming since we got divorced and all but I’d really like to know more about that time. I still don’t remember much.”
“I don’t think that’s good idea,” you say softly.
“Oh.”
“It’s just—what’s the use of dredging up bad memories, right?”
“Was I that bad of a husband?” He self-deprecates. You can see in his eyes that it’s bothering him that he was a bad husband to you and if there was one thing you can’t stand, it’s seeing that.
“No, you were the best,” you sigh, resigning yourself. You gesture to the bench behind him and say the words you never thought you’d ever get the chance to: “What would you like to know?”

quarantine tag game
tagged by my babe @2016moonlight, thank you Fran <3
if you’re staying home, who’s there with you? it’s just me, my mom and the cats
are you staying at home from school/work? yeah, I’m technically still having online classes but I don’t really do much of that :/ my motivation to do uni work has been kinda off. I miss campus, my friends and my teachers.
are you a homebody? yeah, for sure. I love being at home. I just didn’t realize how much I also enjoyed leaving my house every now and then.
an event that you were looking forward to that got cancelled? the list could be extensive, but I think the one that will be the saddest for me (it’s not officially canceled yet but I don’t it will happen) is my @taylorswift concert :’( a bunch of my friends and I were all going and we had a lot planned for that day and now I don’t think it will happen. hopefully sometime in a better future...
what movies have you watched recently? The Platform on Netflix!! Pretty great and totally relevant for times like these... It’s mostly about human greed. (I’m pretty sure I have watched other movies, I just can’t remember them)
what shows are you watching? La Casa De Papel’s new season, Westworld’s new season, Dynasty, started Ozark, a couple of episodes of Frankie & Grace and... I’m rewatching... Glee (it’s a lot funnier now that I’m not emotionally invested in it)
What music are you listening to?
Listened to Dua Lipa’s new album and fell in love with it. The rest is just whatever comes on shuffle in the Spotify’s playlist I pick... Sometimes it’s a 70s Rock playlist, sometimes it’s Broadway’s Classics, other times it’s acoustic versions of pop songs... It really depends on what comes to mind at the time.
What are you reading? The Interestings by Meg Wolitzer
what are you doing for self-care? Watching the news minimally (I like to be informed but damn.), having pampering days with mom, watching “happy” content (music helps a lot and it’s a part of why I’m rewatching Glee) and try to keep as busy as possible. Trying not to worry too much.
I’m tagging @ladysantebellum, @fallonsliam, @falliam, @thebiggestpayday and @gibbins-castillo

HELLO a prompt for you: “It’s the middle of the night and you’re not in bed,” 🤩
The hot mid-July sun had been brutal all week.
Scorching rays had been blaring down on the southern state with such intensity, such vigor, that it’d forced most residents to remain indoors, hiding from the current heatwave and taking comfort in the much more reasonable indoor temperatures; thanks to air-conditioning, of course. Despite the fact that it was still in the lower 80’s at the late hour, she’d been stirred awake at the lack of warmth coming from the spot beside her. Ironic, she thinks, that even in this extreme heat, the bed still managed to feel cold without him curled up next to her.
She’d barely had clothes on, only a pair of silk shorts with a matching lace camisole, skin still sticky and hot despite the cool air circulating their bedroom. And still, she’d awoken from her slumber when she felt the lack of his body heat beside her, an empty presence lurking in the shadows when she realized his arm wasn’t draped over her stomach anymore, feeling a sudden coolness run through her veins.
She assumes he’d just slipped away in his sleep, tossing and turning in the humid heat and trying to cool off without being so close to the warmth radiating off of her own body. But when she reaches over to find his body in the darkness to pull him closer and curl back up into his arms, her own arm falls flat against the mattress, Liam’s side of the bed completely empty.
She sits up immediately, calling out for him; the silence that echoes back to her tells her quickly that he’s nowhere close by, prompting her anxieties to start jumping to the worst of all possibilities. But, no, she assures herself, this is Liam; he wouldn’t just up and leave in the middle of the night without stirring her awake to let her know what was going on.
She lets her feet sink to the cool floor, turning the lamp set against her nightstand on to let the room glow in a soft, yellow hue. She pulls a robe over her, incase the oddity of someone else being up and about in the manor at the late hour actually became a reality; she’d rather not have someone catch her in her current outfit, especially if that someone happened to be her father.
She trickles down the stairs, finding the living room and adjacent rooms empty upon her search. So, she wanders her way to the kitchen, thinking he may have just been looking for a drink or a snack at the late hour, but that room is also completely still without any signs of life. She’s about to head back up the stairs again when she glances outside towards the balcony, finding her target leaning against the banister, basked in a blueish glow from the moonlight above. She steps out, as quiet as she possibly can to not awaken the rest of the house, while also trying to get a good read on him before she speaks, but his back is towards her and gives her nothing to go on.
“Liam?”
Her voice must catch him off guard, because his body jolts a little upon hearing her speak before he spins around to greet her with a warm smile. “Hey, Fal.”
“It’s the middle of the night and you’re not in bed,” she says, arms folding across her chest as she steps closer to him, matching his position as he leans against the white bannister. “Is everything okay?”
“Yeah, it’s just,” Liam’s words trail off softly in the night, the sounds of crickets chirping all around them, loud and persistent. “It’s just that it’s July 13th.”
“July 13th? What does…oh.” It hits her like a brick, forcefully and all at once, filling her with an anguishing amount of guilt for not realizing the date sooner. For getting too busy with her company, for getting too sidetracked with emails and paperwork for her to fully comprehend what was going on around her. For her to completely miss sight of what this day was for Liam and that it’d been slowly approaching them for days. She should have known, should have been ready days before, weeks before, for the inevitable hurt and sadness he was bound to feel when that clock struck midnight. “Liam, why didn’t you wake me?”
She catches him shrug weakly from her peripheral vision. “I just wanted to be alone for a bit.”
“You don’t need to do it alone, Liam,” she says, resting her palm against his shoulder with a gentle squeeze. “I’m here for you no matter what and I hope you know that.”
“I do know that,” he confirms, no hesitation laced in his tone. “I just wanted to feel his presence, I guess,” he continues. “I know it probably sounds stupid to you. That it’s not really the type of thing you believe in,” he mutters quietly, staring straight ahead into the night sky sparkling with little diamonds from up above. “I just know he’s out there watching over me.”
“It doesn’t sound stupid.” Her hand moves up to the base of his beck, squeezing in a gentle, reassuring touch, her fingers teasing at his hair. “It doesn’t sound stupid at all. Of course he’s around you. He’s always with you, Liam.” Liam’s head turns towards her, a small smile filling his features, but it’s sad and lacking the usually positivity he’s always putting out into the world. “He’s probably wondering how the hell you wound up with a Carrington of all the girls out there, but he’s out there.”
Liam laughs at that, a small glimmer of hope filling her that this day wasn’t all sadness for him; it was about all the happy memories he shared with his father, too. “He would have loved you,” he says. “Which would have really pissed my mother off,” he continues calmly. “It would have only made him love you more.”
Her fingers still play with the hair at the base of his neck, rubbing her thumb over the skin in familiar and comforting patterns that she knew would bring him ease. “I wish I could have met him.”
“It would have been his 60th birthday today,” he says with a desperation in his tone that she decides she doesn’t like right away. “I just can’t believe it’s been fifteen years without him already.”
“I know,” she says leaning her head against his shoulder, doing her absolute best to give him the love and comfort he needed in this moment.
“I remember when he always used to take Lucy and I out for ice cream after school if he picked us up.” There’s a light laugh that escapes him when he speaks, remembering the specific memories of him and his sister with his father; happier times, simpler times. “Which Laura disapproved of greatly, of course.”
She leans up off his frame, wanting to watch the expressions in his face as he told these stories of his father, of the parent who seemed to actually love and care for him in a way Laura never did and never would. “Of course.”
“And he was always taking the two of us to art museums and to movies. He’d take us to the library and make sure we were reading things we actually enjoyed and not just our assigned reading for school. He’d take the two of us to concerts,” he says, flashes of the life he shared with his dad coming in troves. “He was always trying to open our eyes to all the art in this world and all the opportunities and possibilities that were out there for us to explore,” he continued. “Laura hated that he did that, too. She said it was going to distort the vision she had for us in the future. That if Lucy and I saw a world outside the family business, we’d want nothing to do with it in the end.”
“She wasn’t wrong.”
His eyes find hers in that soft glow of the moon shining down on him, a shiny gloss settling like a film over his eyes; tears unable to stop themselves from forming as he remembered all those happy times with his father. “I miss him, Fal.”
“I know you do.” Fallon rubs her hand up and down his back, slow and gentle. “And it’s okay that you do,” she continues softly, comforting. “You’re always going to miss him. That’s never going to go away and that’s okay.”
“I guess so,” he shrugs.
“But you don’t have to go through it all by yourself anymore, okay?” Her thumb rubs as the base of his ear, a form of comfort he always seemed to respond to when she used it. “Even if you just wanna reminisce on times you had with him. Or share some memories with me. I’d actually love to hear more about him because he sounds like he was a really good father and a really great man.”
“He was the best, Fal.” She rather likes the smile she can hear when he speaks. “I think you would have loved him.”
“I know I would have if he meant this much to you,” she says as she holds her hand out for him to take - he does, lacing their fingers together in the process. “But you don’t need to put this whole burden on yourself. I’m here for you.”
“I know you are.”
“So, you promise you’ll wake me up next time you’re feeling like this?”
“Yeah, Fal,” he says, hand wrapped tightly in hers. She doesn’t even care about the hot and sticky humid air anymore, she just wants to be as close to him as possible; to comfort him and make sure he got through this hard day with as little sadness and heaviness as he could. “I will.”
“What do you say we head back to bed?” Her suggestion is light, wanting him to do whatever is best for him, of course, but giving him the option nonetheless to return back to their place of serenity. “Get out of this sticky, humid air?”
“Will you stay out here with me a little longer?” There’s a tug at her hand, a slight amount of pressure applied as if he’s silently asking her to please stay. “I don’t know, I just kind of feel like he’s here right now,” he says as she finds his eyes in the pale moonlight still shining down on them like time hadn’t even passed. “I’m not ready to leave yet."
“Always.”

Because six weeks is entirely too long to go without Dynasty & our favorite ship,  @fallonsliam and I have organized this event that goes throughout the whole entirety of hiatus to hopefully keep our steam up, keep us active, and keep that Falliam love alive until it returns in January.
For each week, we have two prompts for you to chose from to create the art that you want to and are most comfortable with! Write a fic, make a gifset, make some fanart - there’s no wrong thing to create; whatever sparks your creative mindset, we’re cool with! We just want to keep our tags alive and active for the six weeks we have no new content!
We hope this sparks some of your creative juices and encourages more of you Fallon & Liam shippers to come write some fic and make some gifs with us, too!
We’ll be tracking & reblogging posts tagged with #falliam and #falliamfrenzy
And most importantly, have fun!
The prompts are as follows:
December 8th - December 14th
“Please stay.” or “What are you afraid of?”
December 15th - December 21st
“Can I hold your hand?” or “It’s okay to cry.”
December 22nd - December 28th
“Well, you’re a prick.” or “Remember we have to get up early tomorrow.”
December 29th - January 4th
“Are you flirting with me?” or “…or we could make out.”
January 5th - January 11th
“Last time I ask you for a favor!” or “You are the single best thing that has ever happened to me.”
January 12th - January 18th
“You’re never this quiet, what’s wrong?” or “I don’t want to think about what I’d be like without you.”
If anyone has any questions, feel free to message either me or @fallonsliam!
