𓇼 ⋆.˚𓆝 SEA, SWALLOW ME .ᐟ
┃ surfer!johnny x fisherman!simon ┃
( ©stoceanette; no translations, copies, or external usage as it is my work— thank you ♡ )
✦ credits: @cr1ms0n-gh0stzzz for the yummy johnny scent hc <3 mwa mwa.
✦ tags: coastal au, soulmates, small but mighty blurb, slight-head-canon descriptions, meet-ugly but not, simon is rough around the edges but he means well, johnny is somewhat of an adrenaline junkie, very brief smoking, and crude language.
✦ synopsis: a cocky Scottish surfer gets swept under by an unpredictable wave—and ends up tangled in the nets of a gruff, masked fisherman. Johnny MacTavish has always flirted with danger, but Simon Riley might be the first to catch him for real.
⊹ ࣪ ﹏𓊝﹏𓂁﹏⊹ ࣪ ˖ ⊹ ࣪ ﹏𓊝﹏𓂁﹏⊹ ࣪ ˖ ⊹ ࣪ ﹏𓊝﹏𓂁﹏⊹ ࣪
The sea that evening had a pulse. A hunger.
It crashed against the rocky foreign shoreline with a rhythm older than language, curling under the fading fire of the setting sun. Wind tore through the cliffs, slapping brine across faces and windows, tugging gulls sideways in their flight. The air reeked of salt, diesel, blood, and storm.
Out beyond the swell, Johnny MacTavish was surfing like the devil had dared him to. Or more like personally grabbed the brunette by the shoulder and whispered such a reckless idea to his ear. An idea that was too tempting to deny.
He cut across a wave’s shoulder, lean and golden in the glow of the dying light. Black ink coiled along his sinewy, beefy, tanned arms and down his ribs in inked Celtic tangles, glinting with seawater.
His mohawk was a wind-whipped crown, stiff and salt-wrought, overgrown in carefree coils and curls, and his grin—wide and too confident—looked carved straight into the sky. Structured, sweaty, abs partnered with some love-handles.
Patterned swimming trunks that hung low along his hips, the strings tightened a tad to be knotted into a bow for security. A whiff of lavish coconut and earthy-wood dancing on his body.
Messy, effortless, yet deliciously gorgeous.
Locals called him “the ocean’s favorite bastard.” He liked that. Liked it a lot. Fed his ego just right.
But even the ocean plays favorites until it doesn’t.
A rogue and powerful current reared from nowhere—thick and ripping. Johnny shouted, lost his expensive and worn-out board. The board he won awards, taller than he was, with. And now it was nowhere in his sight.
He vanished under the water in a swirl of limbs, leash, and froth clashing. Kelp snagged his ankle. A trawler net drifted close, slack but webbed like a waiting trap. In the chaos, it coiled around his leg and shoulder, heavy and fast.
He didn’t even get a full breath before he was washed up and ensnared.
Simon Riley was midway through a smoke when he saw it.
Leaning against the gunwale of The Leviathan, boots planted wide, his black oilskin coat flapping around him like the wings of some sea-worn reaper. The wind bit back sharp, unforgiving, but Simon didn’t flinch. He’d roll his mask up above the bridge of his nose while smoking—just enough to expose the sharp cut of his jaw, the hooked line of his nose, and a jaw dusted in short, bristly stubble. Faint scars traced across his skin like relics of violence left to weather.
His lips—chapped, pale, pressed tight—twitched slightly when he saw the splash. Not of a seal. Not driftwood. No, this was movement. Flailing. Something—or someone—trapped.
Recognition hit faster than the cold ever could.
Simon dropped the cigarette, ground it under his heel, and tugged the mask back down over his mouth in one fluid motion. His boots thudded across the slick deck with purpose, heavy as thunder. Hands, calloused from rope and blade, seized the trawling net line that had suddenly gone taut.
And then—
He hauled.
The net groaned. Water cascaded off it in gushing streams. Within seconds, Simon had reeled the whole damn thing in like the sea owed him. Muscles shifted beneath his coat—strong, silent, and absolute. He worked fast. Efficient. No wasted movement. His brown eyes, hard and shadowed beneath the skull-patterned fabric, narrowed on the shape caught in the netting.
And there—sputtering, tangled, soaked to the bone—
Was him.
Johnny MacTavish.
Simon crouched immediately, gripping the net as it spilled onto the deck in a slick heap of rope, kelp, and man. Water slapped the boards, catapulting some droplets onto Simon’s blonde lashes that he simply smudged. Johnny blinked up at him, eyes wild and blue as glacier run-off, coughing hard, chest heaving.
“Jesus fuck—” the scot wheezed, laughing between coughs as his hands pushed against the tight binding. “Y’nearly caught y’self a goddamn selkie, mate.”
Simon stared down at him, his expression unreadable beneath the mask. His hand reached to his utility belt, knife drawn in a flicker. The blade gleamed like ice. Sharp. Clearly well manufactured and underrated. The kind of item you wouldn’t find lying around just anywhere.
“Are you serious right now, MacTavish?” he huffed lowly, flat and cool as the North Sea.
Johnny’s grin curled slow and sideways. “Aye,” he rasped. “You know who I am, sir?”
Simon was already slicing through the netting—precise and fast, yet careful. Careful to not nick the man before him. “Hard to miss. You’re the loud one from the coast. Surfer. Bit of a local legend.”
“‘Bit’?” Johnny snorted, breathless with a twinge of youthful arrogance. “I’m practically folklore.”
Simon didn’t even glance at him. “You’re folklore, alright. The kind that hard-working mothers warn their incautious kids about.”
Johnny chuckled again, slumping onto the deck with a groan, hearty legs finally freed from the complex web that once held an iron-fist. His chest was rising and falling quickly from the adrenaline rush that caught up to him, skin goose-pimpled from the cold, the edges of a bruise already blooming across one rib.
“Didn’t think I’d end my day wrapped in a net, dragged aboard by some… masked-up fisherman,” he muttered, ocean blues glinting.
Simon stood again, knife now wiped clean and sheathed. “Didn’t think I’d ‘ave to haul a grown man out the water like a salmon on a line.”
Johnny rolled his eyes, but there was warmth in the way he looked at him now. “Y’know,” he began, “you’ve got kind eyes for a grim bastard.” The words coming out oddly sincere for a man of his playful nature.
Simon’s gaze lingered on him a moment longer. Deep hickory-brown eyes. Heavy with thought, but giving nothing away. Nothing he wanted to give away in any case. Secrets were better kept locked away than in the hands of prying and annoyingly good-looking strangers.
“…Get below deck, Johnny,” he mumbled at last. “You’re freezing.. got spare clothes.” A scowl on his aged face, no trace of true malice following his demeanor.
Soap, still grinning, saluted from the water-logged floor. “Aye aye, captain.”
Simon shook his head once, barely a breath of amusement in it. But his broad shoulders relaxed. Just slightly. Like a small weight had been lifted off. Or maybe it had been relief? He wasn’t sure. Wasn’t interested in knowing.
“And make sure to clean up that damn mess after you change. Wouldn’t want mold to grow in-between the boards. Mop’s in the room to your right if you plan on stayin’ long.”
And just maybe.
Johnny would stay as long as he pleased.

The Vampire Dies in no Time, Chapter 307: Fun Amongst Rodents
Read text from right to left, do not repost.
(Translations by @lavoszero and myself. Edits and typesetting by myself)
Plain text below
p. 51
The wings that fly faster than sound, the Solar Eclipsing Raven, the vampire Ventrue.
The creator of an infinite army of unholy ghouls, the Necro-Dealer, the vampire Elder.
The blaze that incinerates all, the Immortal Flame, the vampire Ishikana.
The boundless phantasmagoria, the Shifting Shadow, the vampire Dick.
The blizzard that snuffs out life’s light, the Icy Smile Lord, the vampire Northdin.
The head of the Old Blood Vampires, The Dragon Prince, The Silver Wolf, the vampire Draus.
Death 307: Fun amongst Rodents
p. 52
In Nezumi Land, Chiba.
p. 53
Venture: “Are you kidding me, Draus?” Elder: “We made the trek to Maihama for this, is this a joke!?” Ishikana: “What is wrong with you, you old, old, old, old Man!? Old, old men do not, should not, go to Nezumi Land by their lonesome!” Draus: “Enough, calm down! I have my reasons.”
[Flashback]
Draus: “You see, I wanted to escort Draluc and my dearest Mira around Nezumi Land.” Likely Venture: “Shut up, don't you dare have a flashback!” Likely Elder: “Time and time again, you use for your rehearsals!” Likely Ishikana: “Don’t you have any friends!?” Draus:
Northdin: “Surely you didn't invite that idiot [ydan] as well?” Draus: “I… I invited him but he said he had to work at a part time job.” Someone: “A man like him got a part time job?” Someone: “As a lewd comedian, maybe.”
Someone: “Well, what's done is done, regardless of our feelings, we're here now.” Likely Venture: “Keh, this place reeks of humans!”
p. 54
Elder: “Then again, is this not a golden opportunity? Let’s seize the moment and take joy in laughing at all the humans scurrying about, dopey-faced.” Venture: “! That’s a good point” Ishikana: “Now is the perfect time to show these humans how much we superior vampires out class them!”
Someone: “Don't assume we superior vampires are so easily amused. You shall regret looking down upon us, rodent!” Northdin: “I don't believe this land is capable of ‘looking’ upon any direction.”
Draus: “So this is what the inside is like. I’m at a loss, what are we supposed to do now…!!?” [Huge crowd] Ishikana: “Is this a line? Or is it just crowded?” Dick: “Maybe there is a strip show in the back?” Likely Ishikana: “Stop trying to paint this place as lewd, it’s forced.”
Northdin: “There's no need to get flustered, my fellow Superior Vampires... First, simply decide what attraction you wish to go to, then use the SmartPass app.” [Nezumi Map: Latest Revision” Someone: “You're acting like a high school girl excited for a school trip.” Someone: “A high school girl that was so excited, she couldn’t sleep and spent all night surfing the web.” Northdin: “Quiet!”
Venture: “Lowering ourselves just to observe human behavior firsthand, where is our awe? Humans should bend to our will; we shouldn’t be bound to theirs. Northdin: “How much longer do you plan on clinging to that mindset? Draus, reason with him.”
p. 55
Draus: “Umm... I also think it would be more awe-inspiring for us to walk with our heads held high and demonstrate we are not bound human rules...” Northdin: “I see.” [Northdin's mindscape] [Stomp, stomp] Farmerdin: “The wheat I sowed!”
Venture: “Fine, I may not fully grasp it but I'll manage. Humans, kneel.” Ishikana: “We may as well join in on their line since it’s right before us.” Northdin: “How on earth did any of these guys manage to survive in turbulent times. “Pushovers”
[10 minutes]
[20 minutes]
Ishikana: “Dick, can you turn into a rhinoceros or something and mow down this row?” [Rumble] Northdin: “You'll force the whole park to close!”
Draus: “Stop spouting idiotic nonsense… “Did you even consider an attendant may confront us, asking why we were the only ones the rhino spared?” Someone: “When exactly did you develop this phobia of employees?”
[45 minutes]
p.56
Attendant: “Those with SmartPasses may go on ahead. [Shuffle, shuffle]
Northdin: “I tried to warn you.”
Attendant: “Sorry for the wait, please, go on ahead. Draus: “At long last… I was beginning to suspect this queue existed in frozen time.”
Attendant: “Please take your seats.” Draus: “So, what is this? It reminds me of a theater, hahaha.”
Attendant: “Seat belts will now lock.” Draus: “Seat belts?” [Clank]
[Whirl] Draus: “Papa?”
Attendant: “Enjoy your ride on the Free Fall of Hell~” [Bang] Draus: “Papaaa!!!”
p.57
Draus: “Warn me what these lines are for next tiiiime!!!” Venture: “Who in their right mind would ever pay to be dropped!?” Northdin: “You were too busy ‘holding your heads high’ to listen to my explanation” Elder: “I’d say the scene before me is plenty of motivation to wait in line again~”
Northdin: “Anyway, what has you so shaken, you can fly?” Venture: “it's because I can fly that I hate the sensation of falling!!” Northdin: “That’s like developing a fear of others’ driving because you have a license.”
Dick: “Or perhaps it's more akin to being a famous manga artist that can't bare facing the erotic works of his past.” Venture: “Not even remotely!”
Draus: “North, are there any attractions that are less terrifying but can still demonstrate to humans how formidable we are?” Northdin: “Give me a moment.”
[Northdin's mindscape] [Does that even in exist?] [Riot]
Northdin: “Oh? The mascot over there seem to be attracting a lot of attention.” Human: “Excuse me, can we take a photo with you?”
Draus: “Hahaha, now if this isn't the epitome of humanity's juvenile nature, I almost feel bad for laughing.”
p.58
[Pant, pant]
Draus: “Hah. Ah” Northdin: “Don’t look at me like that”
Elder: “Here, let me take your photo, now, pose for the camera Draus: “Ah. Ah.”
[Turn]] Draus: “Right, sorry, I’ll face the camera!” Someone: “I feel like I'm watching an alumni bully the new kid.”
[Fear-induced Draus puddle] Elder: “What an unusually friendly mascot Dick: “Isn't it natural to be emboldened when paired with a someone timid?” Someone: “Or they’re just a troublemaker.”
Draus: “Tch, I'm fine, I'm fine, let's go somewhere, anywhere else. “Gee, more lines!”
Venture: “Dick, transform into a seat so the rest of us can sit down.”Dick: “If I do, I may never look upon with innocence ever again, are you prepared for that?” Draus: “Never mind! From here on out, you stay five meters away from me!
[Castle of Terror Tour]
Elder: “Wow, it reminds me of my home whenever I make ghouls.” Ishikana: “Tidy up more.”Elder: “I don’t have the luxury to do so during peak season.”
p.59
[Merry-go-round] Dick: “Allow me to give these dear passengers an extra seat on the ride.” Draus: “Quit it, you idiot, the attendant, the attendant's coming!”
[Souvenir Shop]
Ishikana: “A six eared Draus.” Elder: “Perhaps I should get a gift for my grandson. Ah, but the poor child might get jealous.”
Elder: “Wait a moment, we're enjoying this place as intended, aren't we!?” Venture: “This was not the plan! What happened to out pride as superior vampires!?” Elder: “That sneaky little rat!”
Draus: “Hence forth, we shall act more formidable!” Ishikana: “Hey, the guy from before is back.”Draus: “Papaaah!” Northdin: “Calm down.”
Female Attendant: “Huh? Vickey you’re not scheduled to be here right now.”
p.60
Fakey: “Kuukuku, I am the vampire Fakey! Humans will be none-the-wiser as they flock to me, trying to meet "Vickey" and I drain them of their-
“Blood…”
[Crumble] Fakey: “Eh!?” [Grab, grab]
[Boom] Fakey: “Gyaaa Hot!”
[Fwooo] Fakey: “C-c-cold!”
p.61
[Thwack] Fakey: “Gahaaa!”
[Snatch] Fakey: “Ack!”
[Land] [Poof]
Dick: “And that concludes our Guer-villain Show! Did you all have a good time~? Let’s give our actors a big round of applause!”
[Woohoo! Clap, clap!]
Venture: “Hah, now this is the awe we deserve!” Elder: “I have souvenir ghouls available to those willing to pay~” Other workers: [And one, two, one, two-] Northdin: “Quit fooling around and let's leave before we draw ever more unwanted attention.”
Female Attendant: “You vampires, I thank you from the bottom of my heart...!
p.62
Female Attendant: “What you did... going so far as to handle it in a way that didn't shatter the dreams of our guests, that's truly amazing.”
Female Attendant: “This place was built as a dream land for all to love and enjoy. Thank you, thank you so much for protecting this dream...!”
Draus: “Heh... protecting human society from foolish vampires was a path we decided on long ago.” [“So much has changed since then.”] “It was a pleasure to be able to protect the dreams of these ethereal beings once more tonight…”
Ishikana: “Hey the real Vickey is coming over.” [“The cheeky little freak”] Draus: “Uhh…”
Draus: “But I suppose I'm the hero who protected your people's dreams now. This time, I’ll take a photo with my head held high!”
[Beam]
This is a fun dream land! With dreams worthy of protection! We'll turn a blind eye for now but we won't forget this, you bastard. We'll trample you dead with a merry-go-round.
Death 307: End
Translator’s notes: Nezumi means rodent (particularly mice and rats). I left it as “Nezumi Land” since page 53 transcribes it as such.
p. 53 Maihama, Urayasu, Chiba is the location of Tokyo Disneyland.
p.54 The term “舐める” means “to look down upon” and “to lick.” Northdin is teasing them about the word choice and uses “ペロ” (a term pretty much exclusive to licking) in response.
p.57
“Papa” is Draus’s in universe entrance fanfare. He does in fact say it out loud.
p.58
Gee (ゲェー) is probably a reference to Kinnikuman’s ゲェーッ. It’s just a thing characters say in shock sometimes.
p. 60
Fakey’s name is literally “Esecky,” a JPN portmanteau of "Ese," (fake), and Vickey (the Mickey stand in).

Choco Fin | Chapter 8-2
Chapters: {1} {2} {3} {4} {5} {6} {7} {8} {8-2} {9}
Hey you thought I was done with the story? Well I thought I was as well, but thanks to some absolutely beautiful fanart from @floridecuts , I had the inspiration to make an alternate ending to chapter 8, so I thank you for giving me this opportunity! Also I know some people were expecting a merMashita, so I managed to implement that as well, I hope you enjoy! :D
📔•₊✧👻⋆⭒˚☕️。⋆📔•₊✧👻⋆⭒˚☕️。⋆📔•₊✧👻⋆⭒
A sob emits from her gnarled throat and her eyes blow wide. Crooked fingers thrust forward, her maw ready to tear them to shreds. She hurls herself in Mashita's direction, poised to strike down anything in her path to obtain the love she so desperately coveted. They barely had time to react, everything happening so fast that it feels as if it were in slow motion:
Sameru pouncing through the air, Mashita throwing himself to the side just enough that she misses her mark, and instead crashes heavily against the glass, the crack splitting further in all directions from the impact. She isn't moving. The hallway reveals itself once more.
Yashiki rushes to Mashita's side, helping him stand back up as they rush towards the hallway dragging him by the hand, not wanting to stand around to see what could happen next.
They make it about halfway through the connecting hall before they hear it; shattering glass and the gush of an extreme amount of water filling the space. Still on the move, they look over their shoulders, they share an expression of terrified shock as a large wave collides against the wall, rolling smoothly into a track directly towards them, beads of the water splashing in bursts in an attempt to reach them.
They make it to the bottom of the stairs just as the water begins to lap at their feet, letting go to use the rail to pull themselves up faster, quick steps banging up each stair as they push onwards to make it to the top. The stairwell feels more humid as the water climbs relentlessly after them, only to stop right at the line of where the painted murals’ sea meets sky, the water gurgling in its final resting place.
Yashiki reaches the top first, about to wrench the door open when he hears a pained yell from behind him, whipping back in time to see Mashita falling backwards as if being pulled, eyes wide and hands outstretched before disappearing entirely beneath the darkness of the hungry waves.
His hearing is muffled, breathing heavily, eyes blown wide, yet eyesight blurry, a cold sweat enveloping his entire body. He can barely hear the sound of his scream, the only thought in his mind is Mashita, Mashita, Mashita-
“MASHITA!”
Yashiki blindly rips his bag off in a hurry to drop it at the top of the stairs, his glasses falling off in the rush as he dives in after him. His eyes flash orange for a split second as he cuts under the surf, his desperate need for Mashita's safety igniting the power lent to him. As his entire body becomes fully submerged, he finds that he has instantly transformed back into the monstrously beautiful form. He doesn't waste time dwelling on it however, as something in his brain clicks into place and with one flick of his tail, he speeds off through the dark depths like it was second nature.
With his newfound speed It doesn't take long to find Mashita, eyes squinted and beginning to thrash around, instinctual panic starting to set in. He's still holding his breath, but it doesn't look to be for too much longer. Yashiki races towards him, noticing how his eyes widen like he was spooked, arms flailing harder as if trying to get away, but he doesn't let him. “Mashita!” His yell rings clearly through the water as his webbed hands reach out to either side of Mashita's paling face, and without knowing what else to do, he smashes his lips hurriedly into his. The shock of the impact is enough to get Mashita to open his mouth for him to breathe air into, his gills jetting bubbles through the water from the panicked strain.
Too focused on keeping him alive, he doesn't notice that the orange glow had started up again; hovering within his chest just above his heart. It rumbles slightly before splitting in half, the second piece of light transferring over through their shared connection, settling within Mashitas chest before fading.
Mashita slows his flailing, finally having enough air reaching his brain again to think clearly, hands resting on the scaled arms cradling his head. They remain that way, lips locked supporting a steady stream of oxygen, just floating in place. His elegant tail flicked in bursts to keep them from sinking.
Despite the closeness, Yashiki can't help but feel on edge, he knows they aren't alone in the depths. Acting as Mashita's life support for the time being, they're pretty much vulnerable to being attacked from any angle, the thought has Yashiki clutching him tighter to his chest, an animalistic growl catching in his throat as an unseen shadow forcefully knocks the two apart, a new pair of arms coming up threateningly to strangle him. Sameru wasn't entirely gone.
Instincts not normally his own kick in at the attack, pupils formed into slits as he claws and bites savagely, his tail thrashing wildly to knock her off of him. Adrenaline mixed with fear was pumping thick, not for himself, but with the race against time to get back to Mashita before he could die a slow and painful death. The stress only amplifies when a strangled cry echoes through the deep, the sound of Mashita's voice always recognizable to him, his blood running ice cold. He can't see anything in the scuffle, all he wants is to escape, to be back at Mashita's side….he feels his energy waning.
A pained shriek reverberates against his eardrums as Sameru is suddenly thrown from his being, getting his sight back only to balk at what had managed to rip her away:
Mashita had aggressively rammed into her, now with a set of razor sharp teeth protruding from his mouth that were clamped down on one of her arms, bubbles shooting out of newly formed gills as he snarled. His eyes glared a violent red as he let go, using a combination of webbed claws and a strong two-tone tail to push her as far away from them as he could. His voice sounds perfectly clear through the water as he lets his anger out.
“GET THE FUCK BACK, HE'S MINE.”
Sameru only angers more at the claim, shaking herself off before bursting through the water with an annoyed wail, opening her shark-like mouth in an attempt to inflict more pain with her attack.
Yashiki on the other side kicks off into a swift glide, arms splayed outwards to reach Mashita before she does, reaching just in time to wrap them around him from behind, and in that moment, the two glows shine ever brighter, engulfing Sameru right as she was a hair away from shredding them both apart.
Blearily looking up to what created such brightness, they see that the light was that of Megumi Yokota, hugging Sameru tightly so that she couldn't escape. She whispers calming words of affirmation to her other half, who in turn was visibly relaxing within the hold, now too weak from the scuffle to fight back. She returns the hug, the same light spreading to Sameru herself.
“Everything's okay now, we can rest…We are loved.”
“L l l l o o o o v v v v e e e e d d d d. . . . .”
Sameru fades into the light, returning back to where she belongs within Megumi. Slowly she turns around to the two half fish, standing in place as if gravity couldn't reach her.
“Thank you for all that you've done. I am finally free…” She raises her arms as she says it, light filtering into the water that changes it from a deep cold dark to a sparkling tropical blue. The fish from the exploded tank start filtering through the larger enclosure, swimming around the pair in curiosity.
“When you are ready to go, just swim back up the stairs and you'll return to normal. I will let you be now, good luck to the both of you, I wish you the best.” She gives one last smile before she also fades away. Leaving them to float there, Still holding on to each other, their tails swishing without needing to think.
Yashiki hears a groan in front of him, his viewpoint from behind showing Mashita's arm raise to his head, only for it to jolt open more, his blue-orange tail giving a surprised flick back, smacking into the sturdiness of his own. Yashiki turns him around in place by the shoulders to look eye to eye, realizing the bright red from when he was attacking had dulled down in intensity.
“Where… wh- what the hell is this?.. why am I a fis- GH!”
Mashita scrunches his face in exasperated pain, his clawed fingers raising to cover his mouth, having accidentally bit down on himself with his new sets of spears. Yashiki grabs his hands and holds them to the sides of his head, much to his now maroon-eyed confusion, and takes in the view of just how intriguing he looked in this otherworldly form, dangerous yet beautiful, like a rose with intact thorns. Yashiki lays a gentle kiss onto the protruding edges, eyes wide in awe as they scan every inch of his face.
“You saved me, like you always do.”
“....Did I?”
“You don't remember?”
Mashita closes his eyes in a contemplative fashion, deep in thought trying to recall his perspective. He speaks slower around his fangs so he doesn't nick himself again.
“I couldn't really see much, it was too dark. But it was cold at first, then warm…and then cold again.” Mashita looks pained, his eyes downcast as he slides his hand out of Yashiki's grip, resting it around his own neck, feeling the openings lining the sides.
“There was this sharp pain to my neck, like it was being sliced. Now I guess I know why….god I'm a freak show.”
“Not to me. I much rather prefer you like this than dead. You had me scared there….”
“Heh, you know you can't get rid of me that easily, we're pretty much tied by fate at this point.”
Yashiki gives an amused chuckle at his remark, glancing down at their tails swaying in unison. “Don't I know it.”
Mashita squeezes his hand, eye contact missing as his ear fins flick in a flustered manner. “I was worried too…the face you made at the top of the stairs when I fell in…I couldn't bear it being directed at me.”
Yashiki huffs in endearment, bringing him in to hug him tightly. Mashita returns the hug with the same amount of pressure, their tails curling around each other as they bask in the warmth of the embrace, a stark difference to their surroundings. The colourful fish swim around them within the submerged main room.
“We should probably head out now, we don't want to leave the staff waiting too long.”
“Finally. I'm going to be sick of water for the next few months.”
They throw each other amused smiles as Yashiki begins to kick backwards towards the hall with Mashita in tow, the sheer power of his tail effortlessly doing most of the work, using it so naturally as if he had had it his entire life. Mashita can only do so much, not having the time to get used to his scaled appendage yet. So he takes the moment to rest, his tail moving up and down in languid strokes.
The sight of Yashiki in this form had nearly taken his breath away, more so than the water around him already tried to. The way his dark hair floated around his face was something he always liked, but adding on the fins, the dark eyes, the fangs!? They brought an extra layer of his otherworldliness that ignited his brain in just the right way. He was simply too beautiful for this world, and Mashita was happier than he'd like to admit that he was a part of his. He closes his eyes at the feeling of the water gliding past his face in a way that made his nerves tingle positively.
“We're almost there.”
“Mmh…”
After a few more paddles, Yashiki feels a slight bump of the stairs on his back to indicate they had made it, both turning to look up at the fluorescent light filtering through the water above them, their own personal sunshine after spending so much time in the dark.
“Ready to go?”
“As I'll ever be.”
They both kick hard, propelling themselves upwards toward the light, getting bigger and brighter the closer they get until their heads break through the water's surface like a ribbon at the end of a race, Yashiki throwing his head back to flip his hair from his face as he does so. They look to each other in satisfied relief now that they could finally escape this place.
The water beneath their neckline lights up in the familiar bright orange, looking down in surprise as it travels upwards from their chests, floating above them and conjoining once more before bursting into multiple glittering particles until fading completely. The last of her power.
Yashiki goes to drag himself out of the water and onto the dry step, pausing as he notices with blurred vision that his hand was no longer webbed and clawed, the outline back to his dull-nailed digits as he gripped the platform. Pulling himself up more, he flips around to plant himself onto the top step, clasping his hand around Mashita's to help him out of the water, both of their tails gone and replaced by their clothed legs; wet, but intact. He wasn't going to question how that worked, he's had enough of spirit magic for one day.
They sit on the top step together, catching their breaths and processing everything they had gone through up to that point, their fingers laced as they lay back on their arms.
The sound of metal clinking and something cold bumping his face startles him before it slides on more and his vision comes back in full clarity once again.
“Here, your glasses were up here with your bag.”
“Ah, thank you…” He adjusts them so that they sit comfortably how he likes them.
Mashita let out a heavy sigh. “We should probably see if we can stand.”
Yashiki nods in agreement, starting to lean on the wall beside him as he pushes himself up onto extremely wobbly legs, arm shooting out to the railing as a violent shake racks his body, his other slapping the wall in support. This might take a moment, not that Mashita is faring much better on the other side, his back leaning against the wall.
Once he finally feels the shaking subside enough to start practicing walking, he takes a tentative step towards Mashita, only to trip on nothing, falling into a kabedon right above Mashita's head, trapping him in place. A wild blush simmering on each of their faces at the contact.
“S-sorry…..I love you.”
“...Just help me up. …..and I love you too.”

Are Porygon-Z okay? They look like they're not having a good time, and they twitch like something is wrong with them. Is it ethical to evolve one?
depends. older dubious disks were just straight up viruses. some porygon evolve by just accidentally contacting computer viruses while surfing the web or digging through bad code and evolve from it and theres not much you can do other than just make sure youve added a good anti virus. there are also special vaccinations some specialized porygon care centres offer that let you introduce your porygon to some smaller easier to spot viruses to train them to notice the signs of a sketchy program so theyre less likely to catch something. you can get decomputer worming treatment for your porygons too if they catch a worm program too. overall though its hard to remove the viruses if it advances to a stage where they evolve into porygon z.
porygon z evolved with older dubius discs, dubious discs produced by well. dubious creaters, or by natural exposure to malware will be in pain and glitch a lot and it will not be fun. theres also the chance that if they dont evolve with the RIGHT programs they may have even worse traits. the original dubius disc contained a program for exploring other realities that wasnt made well and turned into a virus and thats what messed them up real good. other viruses or poorly made code can fuck them up even worse because theres less known about that specific type of porygon z
most modern dubius disc and porygon z programs are carefully made to be very standardized. glitches and effects that are overall the same for each porygon z. be careful when finding the right program or disc and it should be fine?? its not necessarily painful unless theyre triggered into a really bad glitching fit. and usually their glitching is controllable enough. that being said i still wouldnt evolve ur porygon on purpose unless its absolutely sure it wants to be a porygon z. even with modern discs, the occasional glitching can stress out a lot of porygon z that evolved without knowing what was happening because their trainers just wanted a faster and harder hitting pokemon to porygon 2. theyre also much higher needs than porygon 2 because while porygon 2 and base porygon can usually chill out in whatever computer as long as you train them well, you need a special computer JUST for your porygon z thats disconnected from any networks or else they will fuck shit up and they cant really help it.
overall i recommend against the evolution unless you are sure you have a safe dubious disk, your porygon wants it, and you have the means of dealing with the glitching and unexpected behaviours.
at least thats what ive heard i dont have a porygon and i dont know too much about them so take anything ive said with a possible grain of salt but i did do as much research as i could.

The Blue skies of charming seemed a little bluer, the air a little crisper, and the sun shined a little brighter. Church ended faster than Jax expected but he was thankful. He now sat in one of the booths at the back of the clubhouse. His phone was clutched in his hands as he texted away with a boyish smile on his lips. " Hey. " Opie smacked his hands against the table, catching his friend's attention. " You coming with Tig and I to the titty bar? It's free taco Tuesday so Tig's pretty excited," he said.
" Greasy tacos and beer? sounds tempting but nah man, I've got plans. " Jax grinned as he stood up. Before Opie could question him further, The bubbly blonde rushed out of the clubhouse.
Today was Thursday. Which meant it was the one day a week that Jax and Bluebell got to have an afternoon date. And this time it was Jax's turn to pick their date destination. Some Instyle magazine at the gas station he'd passed stated women liked being pampered by their boyfriends. The list was long, stating different ways that a guy could pamper and spoil their girl. One option stood out to him…a salon trip. Jax had been to the salon only a handful of times with his mother and that was when he was a child. Gemma kept the same style at the Charming Salon. He didn't pay much attention to who attended and who didn't. This time around he passed by often and noticed that no one that had Bluebell's hair texture ever attended the salon. The few biracial and black women who went by the salon always came out with straightened hair. No fancy styles or anything he'd seen in Seventeen, AMINA, and Sister to Sister magazines at the gas station on the outskirts of town.
So Jax got creative. He surfed the web and came across a salon called Afrolicious Beauties. The website had ' Black Owned Business since 1961' and had endless amounts of photos of diverse black women with various hair textures and styles. The prices weren't outrageous either. So it didn't take Jax much longer after that to make an appointment for Bell. He loved her curly fro but was curious to see how she would look in a different hairstyle and he hoped she'd enjoy the pampering. The sunkissed biker wasn't sure what to exactly ask for but after a long conversation with a woman named Annie on the opposite end of the line; a deep conditioner and silk press were booked.
Bluebell finished her shift and bid her cousin Duggie goodbye before she sat outside awaiting her boyfriend. She wore a mid-length beige floral dress that had a square-lace embroidered neckline. The flowers on the dress were colored in rose pink with hints of periwinkle, and some touches of melon green. lace trim scattered around the bottom hem of the dress that stopped a few inches above her ankles. The dress had been her mother's and it was one of many that she found in the storage shed. her cowboy boots tapped against the wooden porch floor as she waited. Soon enough the familiar rumbling of a motorcycle engine filled her ears causing a smile to form across her face. Bluebell stood up on her feet and walked off the porch just as Jax rolled up in front of her.
The two smiled at one another like two love-struck fools the moment their eyes met. " Hey there beautiful, you need a ride? " The blonde flirted. His hand extended out.
" I would love to, thank you. " she giggled. her hand grasping onto his own as she got on the back of his bike. Bluebell snuggled his helmet onto her head and locked the clasp shut before wrapping her arms around his waist.
" Oh, Honeybee, you're wearing the shirt! You look so handsome! '' Bluebell gushed from behind him as she hugged him close. A few days prior she'd sewed him a light blue and white flannel that he currently wore. It truly did bring out the vibrancy of the blue in his eyes.
Tilting his head to the side, he had stolen a tender peck from her lips. " Thanks, babe," he replied. Jax loved it and knowing she'd made it special for him made his heart warm. He smiled like a kid on Christmas and waited until their date to wear it.
It felt like they were flying. Jax sped out of charming like a bat out of hell. The route was much different than their usual one and Bluebell sat wide-eyed in the back of him. The sun didn't seem to bother and the air felt like a kiss from god, soft and gentle.
The two soon arrived at a train station. Located by a long railway near the border of the highway eight miles away from Charming. Bluebell's eyes filled with inquisitive eagerness at the sight. A small barn-like area sat a few feet away from it where a handful of cars and bikes were parked. Jax averted his bike in that direction. Parking in Section Seven, spot 2B. A small coin slot machine sat in front of the spot. The farmer girl had gotten off first and Jax followed suit.
" We're taking a train," Bluebell stated. Excitement bounced off her words as she looked up at him.
" Yeah, babe. I told you I'd be taking us on an adventure. " he grinned.
After placing a toll fee of six dollars for three hours, Jax's bike was securely locked in. His arm draped around Bluebell's shoulder as he nuzzled her close to his side. The way walked the short distance to the station. Jax led them to the high platform where a total of eight people were. Bluebell hadn't asked where they were going, she was all for surprises and wanted to enjoy the ride.
" Thanks, Honeybee. '' she smiled. soon placing an adorning kiss on the side of his jaw. During their late-night hangouts and conversations about any and everything, she had mentioned wanting to ride a train. She'd seen the train in the movie Harry Potter once as a child and thought it'd be swell to experience that one day for herself.
" Don't mention it babe. " he hummed. A bashful blush scorched his cheeks as she hugged him tightly. The way she looked at him like he was a knight in shining armor or some prince. It made his throat go dry and the hair at the back of his neck sweatily smacked to his skin.
The loud tooting of the train engine caught the couple's attention and excitement sparkled in both of their eyes as it approached. " Train to Solana Beach approaching the station, please stand away from the platform edge." a robotic voice said through the speakers.
The couple stood close beside each other as the train came to a stop before Bluebell eagerly rushed in. Her hand tugged Jaxs as she went down the aisle. Singular and double seats were on either side of the aisle, painted in blue and cream-colored leather. Once located in the middle cart, a mischievous smile formed across Jax's lips. He swept his arms around her waist and with a swift motion tackled them both into a random double seat. a loud squeak and laugh escaped Bluebell's lips causing a few looks from bypassers to be shot their way.
" One of these days yuh ' gon break me in half Jax. I ain't some rag doll yuh' can mangle around. " Bluebell hissed. A faux upset glare on her face as her hands smacked against his arms. His goofy smile made her mirror him.
He said nothing. His eyes were wide with enlarged dilated pupils. Creases formed at the corner of his lids. Cheeks, ears, and neck kissed with the shade rouge red. The promise that she would be his forever laid within her mocha eyes. No words were needed. Jax nuzzled his nose against the side of her cheek, his rough hands cradled the side of her neck. Bluebell's scent reminded him of the strawberry milkshakes she drank religiously. Soft and airy yet sweet almost like strawberries covered in creamy vanilla with powdered sugar. How she always smelt so good remained a mystery to him. He knew the details of how she loved concocting oil in her kitchen but good lord. his lips pressed gently against the crease of her exposed collarbone.
Jax's acts of adornment made Bluebell's heart flutter. She never felt this feeling of being loved and safe before. Was she living in a fairytale? How had she become a princess? She felt more than a farm girl in his arms. Bluebell felt like the girls she'd seen in sappy afternoon Hallmark movies. Jax gave her a feeling that could only be described as seeing the sun for the first time, that feeling shook her down to her core. She breathed him in. Drank in his affection. Craved the taste of cigarettes and bitter beer on his lips. Needed his heavenly smile and sapphire eyes to settle on her for Bluebell to function properly. This had to be love. Love was pure. Love was unexplainable. Love was strange. Love was invincible. Love was feeling like the only two people in the world. Love wasn't real, it was something that you could touch. It was an emotion that came as easy as breathing. Love felt freeing. And by god Bluebell Buckley felt all of that and more that couldn't be put into words for Jax.
Her warm arms embraced him, wrapped around his shoulders with her chest pressed against his. Tender kisses were stolen from one another. The two only pulled away to laugh or for Jax to show their tickets to the aisle clerk. His arm draped over her dress-covered thighs as they two looked out the window. Ever since he and Bluebell had gotten together Jax had gotten a chance to venture outside of Charming for fun instead of for club business. Girls were hot in every city or town but none compared to his Bell. A Samcrow member from Washington he'd met on the road had no problem gushing about how great his old lady was. Jax remembered the twenty-six-year-old man saying " It's nice to be married. You slutty fuckers are missing out. "
Jax and Bluebell weren't married and despite laughing alongside his brothers, Jax could relate to an extent. Despite not being sure of the future or worrying about it, one thing Jackson knew was that Bluebell would be his old lady. He couldn't imagine marrying anyone else. Who else would make him feel this way? Jax could bet a hundred dollars not even his parents experienced this type of love. Where being touch starved never existed. Never feeling angry and always being happy was all there was.
Twenty minutes later the young couple arrived at Palm Tree Paradise. The city was diverse, families of different ethnicities walked the streets. The scent of different spices and food vibrantly roamed the air. Bluebell grasped Jax's hand as she walked closely beside him with a smile on her lips and wanderlust in her eyes. The pair passed a series of small shops that sold everything from clothing to trinkets to hair accessories and food. Everything was so colorful and pastel. Jax eyed a leather apparel shop as they passed by it. Both men's and women's apparel was displayed and the various cuts and styles caught his attention.
They'd passed by a few more shops before arriving at the hair salon. The display on the outside of the salon was bright purple. Bluebell looked through the shop window before looking up at Jax with a confused expression. " Surprise babe. I booked you a salon appointment. figured some pampering outside of Charming would be fun. " he grinned.
Like a child being given a puppy Bluebell squealed and hugged him " Aww Suga! Thanks, Honeybee. " They both hugged and laughed.
" Don't thank me yet babe. Wait until it's all done. " He replied as he took her hand in his own, going inside.
" This is gonna be so fun. " Bluebell whispered to herself from behind him. She practically hopscotched into the shop.
The place was lively. Various plants scattered around the purple-colored salon. Fancy leather chairs and the speakers played Erykah Badu's On & On, giving the shop a more cozy and tranquil feel to it. The place smelled of Lavender and Sage mixed with the smokey scent of flat irons and floor cleaner. The woman at the front desk was beautiful. Smooth golden brown skin with honey blonde hair, busty and built curvy. She had a phone placed against her ear and smiled at the pair.
" Hi! I'm Bluebell. " Bell greeted cheerfully. Her smile is bright and welcoming. Her accent is heavy.
" I'm Jax, I'm looking for Annie. I booked an appointment for 2;30. " Jax spoke up from beside her.
" I'm Annie. Nice to meet y'all. " The hairstylist smiled. her attention was directed to Bluebell `` Are you from Georgia? Your accent is adorable. "
" I am! Have you been there ma'am? " Bluebell replied. She and Jax followed behind Annie as she led them through the busy shop. Bluebell waved at a few people who stared at them.
" Mhm. I've got family all up and through there. Have a seat, honey. " Annie replied as she patted the salon chair at the washing station.
Jax already felt a bit out of place due to pure boredom. Also, he was thirsty since the ride was long and the drinks on board were overpriced. As Bluebell took a seat, he asked her " Hey Bell you good here? I'm gonna go get a drink and check out this shop I saw. Do you want anything? "
She looked up at him as a black cape was placed over her " Mhm. I'll be alright. Anything sugary be fine, maybe a strawberry milkshake. " she replied.
A smile spread across his lips as the golden-haired biker smiled and swiftly pecked her lips. " Strawberry milkshake got it. text me if you need me," he reassured. When she nodded in agreement he strolled out the shop.
" He's a cutie girl and damn sure seems smitten with you. " Annie commented. " How long y'all been together? " she asked as she began washing Bluebell's thick coils in cool water. Annie started the wash with a rosemary clarifying shampoo and sea salt scalp scrub.
Bluebell closed her eyes and smiled with glee as she began to enjoy the service. " Thank you, ma'am. We've been together for a month and three days. Jax is the cutest boy I ever did see. Cutest in our town. " she said. pride in her voice.
Annie chuckled to herself. Young love was so sweet. " Cutest in town huh? That ain't hard to believe. Where are y'all from anyway? "
" Mhm. We're from Charming. " The moment she said the name, a few women in the shop stopped talking.
" Oh, chile hell no. I heard from my cousin Ricky that them redneck Aryan warriors live there. Them fools are dangerous and love to skin and do all types of fucked up shit to black folks. " An older woman spoke up with a head shake.
" I hope your man is protected girl cause them fools get batshit crazy when they see one of their own with a sista. " Another hairstylist said.
" Oh geez. Well, Jax is well protected. I don't live too deep into town. I live with my uncle and cousin on our ranch. '' Bluebell reassured them. The conversation continued and jumped to various topics. Bluebell was given a deeply nourishing coconut and honey hot oil treatment whilst the ladies all chit-chatted.
Meanwhile, Jax went into the leather shop he'd been eyeing. It was a second-hand rare-find shop. The small space was filled to the brim with various pieces and a lot of them reminded him of jackets and vests his dad owned. A particular jacket caught his eye. It was black with a glossed shine of midnight blue with skull patches, a lucky 18 patch, and a 'skull's island forever' engravement on the back. Jax was sure this was the exact jacket his father John owned before he died. Six months before to be exact.
" That one's forty bucks. ten percent off if you buy a second jacket. '' the shop owner said from behind him.
Jax turned around with the jacket in hand and faced the man who looked to be in his sixties. " Where'd you get it from? " Jax asked.
" Somewhere in Ireland a few months ago. This chick I was shacking up with had a ton of pieces like that she got rid of. " The elderly man informed him.
Jax sucked in a breath as he nodded. " I'll take it." he agreed. '` Where are your women's jackets? " He was soon directed to a rack a few feet away. The bright pastel colors or tacky writing like 'Sex on legs' writing on the back of the jackets made him want to vomit. He kept swiping through the racks until one in particular caught his eye.
'Total badass' Jax thought to himself as he picked it up. Cropped, midnight black genuine leather with customized silver bullet-shaped studs covering the whole exterior. Bigger spikes stuck out of the wrist and shoulder area. It was fairly small and the size inside read ' medium '. It may fit slightly oversized on Bluebell but Jax was positive it was made for her. His girl would be the hottest babe in Charming riding out the back of his bike with a jacket like that. Excitement bubbled within him as he nearly drooled imagining her in nothing but it on and maybe her cowgirl boots. He quickly brought both to the front counter.
" Ah, nice choice. " The owner commented. " Eighty bucks kid," he added.
Jax dropped four twenty dollar bills onto the counter with a smirk " Pleasure doing business with you. '' Once the items were bagged, Jax collected them and left. He walked along the boardwalk searching for an ice cream place but stumbled across a bar instead. Sending a handsome smile to a few blondes that smiled his way, he entered the bar. It was a small place that looked like a cramped cabana. people his and Bluebell's age all hand beers and fruity-looking drinks in hand.
He took a seat at the bar and ordered himself a beer. His ocean-blue eyes fell to the menu that was tapped to the counter. a drink called ' Blueberry Blaster' stood out to him. It consisted of cream soda, rum, blue Curacao, and blueberry syrup with vanilla soft serve on top with pineapple pieces. Sounded super sugary and Jax was sure Bluebell would like it.
When the bartender who looked no older than twenty-five slid Jax the beer, Jax ordered two of the Blueberry Blasters to go. A busty bleach-blonde babe with orange-tanned skin soon sat beside him as he took his first sip. " Haven't seen you around here before. You're a sight for sore eyes. '' she purred with a low raspy voice.
As Jax turned his attention towards her, the blonde slipped her wide-framed pink shades onto her head. Her natural pale skin circled her eye area which badly contrasted the orange tone of her tan. Shimmery red lipstick on her lips.
" Wish I could say the same. " He replied as he stood up from his stool. His drinks were brought to him packaged in a cardboard carrier. Jax slipped his total of twenty bucks onto the counter. Smiling at the blonde who shot him an icy glare before he left.
Jax prayed Bluebell was done or near done. He hated the smell of burning irons. His mother's flat iron stuck up in the bathroom often. He set the carrier on a bench a few stops away from the salon and took a seat. The eighteen-year-old enjoyed his beer as he watched the ocean waves. The chilled beverage quenched his thirst as Jax thought of how cool it'd be to live on the beach and enjoy beers like this while working on his bike. Then later on when the sun would go down he and Bluebell would enjoy dinner on some patio somewhere nice. ' a man can dream ' he sighed to himself, finishing his beer in two more gulps. His phone vibrated in his pocket and once he fished it out he read over a few texts. two from Gemma telling him to not forget to bring home salsa and guac. one from Opie asking what he was doing and the latest one was Bluebell telling him she was done.
Jax swaggered his way to the salon and once going inside Annie greeted him first at the front counter. " She's in the restroom. " Annie informed.
" Thanks. " He smiled before paying the tab.
"Honey Bee!" He was caught off guard by tightly being hugged from the side by his bubbly babe. Jax turned and returned the hug before taking a step back. It was then he stopped breathing. His sapphire eyes grew wide and his mouth gasped as he eyed her. Bluebell looked like an absolute bombshell! Her dark brown almost black colored hair was blown out in layers that stopped at the middle of her arms, just above her elbows. The fluffy full waves framed her baby face and Jax thought he'd pass out right there. Abruptly Jax picked her up with his arms wrapped around her thighs as his lips crashed into hers. Bluebell released a giggle against his lips as the women around them awed and some clapped. Her hands cupped his face as their lips moved against one another sweetly… Jax's lips caressed hers with a meaningful peck as he carefully set her down " You look like an angel Bell. " he complimented. His words are adorned with tenderness. " No need to give me a heart attack. Jax joked earning a smack to his arm.
" Here you go bein full of cow poop again. '' Bluebell giggled. " Thanks, baby. " she expressed it genuinely. Bluebell waved goodbye to everyone and promised to come by and see them again before she and Jax left.
His arm was around her shoulder as he walked proudly beside her. " These look yummy! " Bluebell commented as she held their drinks. Jax led her to the bench he once occupied and Bell sat on his lap. " What are they ? " she asked.
" They're called Blueberry Blasters. They've got vanilla ice cream, pineapple bits, blueberry syrup, and uh…" He paused before finishing. " They've got liquor. Remember those wine coolers we tried last week? '' When she nodded he proceeded, " Something like that but a little stronger babe. "
Bluebell had only drunk once before and those were merely coolers after a late-night trip to Dairy Queen. They tasted good but were a little strong and made her feel all hot on the inside. These looked much more tasty. " Okay. '' As long as Jax was by her side, the farmer girl felt confident and open to try new things like this. Popping open the plastic spoon-straw contraption from its wrapper, she took one of the drinks into her hands. Jax watched as Bluebell sipped slowly. Her pupils expanded as the sugary sweet beverage went down her throat. Sweet, and fruity, and the bitterness of the alcohol was barely there. Masked by a sprite-like fizzle effect. " It's so good. '' she smiled as soon as she pulled her lips from the straw. Bluebell followed it up with spoonfuls of the soft serve. Jax chuckled in response before Bluebell shared hers with him. And even he could admit it was good. The pair got back on the train just before the sun was ready to set. Cuddled up in each other's arms with gleeful smiles plastered across their lips.

if Spider-Man COULD swing from a web realistically.. you'd have to look into various species of spider who "fly" or "float" using their webs and the wind. So there would have to be some other method of transportation for Spider-Man to have that would be faster to get around all of New York.
Options:
Spider-Man actually is extremely lightweight and uses his webs to "balloon" like some spiders are capable of doing, allowing him to travel for miles on the wind currents. It's also extremely windy way up high in the skyscrapers, so he's able to make do for the most part.
Spider-Man isn't traveling that fast anyway. It's like an acrobat swinging in the air. Not very fast, so it wouldn't exactly destroy Spider-Man's limbs, but it still looks neat, despite still being dangerous.
Spider-Man surfs on traffic to get around. Webs to latch on and clings for dear life to whatever vehicle he chose. He is subject to stoplights, however, and has to find other vehicles to web to in order to keep cruising.
Again. Spider-Man isn't swinging as fast as people think, so the g-force isn't gonna rip his arms off like people state would happen realistically. Also, due to the enhanced strength and durability he gains from the spider bite, he is able to hold on and endure the sensation of swinging and hanging by his arms for a lot longer without much issue. if he had to take those stamina tests or whatever they're called where you do a bar lift, he'd ace that test with flying colors and no sweat at all. The same would apply to him playing on some monkey bars.
#ghostie mumbles#I've seen this pop up a few times in various videos and I just have to wonder and get this off my mind#spiderman#spider man#spider-man#I'm not a physics person nor am I a math person so idk how plausible some of these would be. but yeah. these are just my little thoughts

Apparently Senritsu is Fearless! Which is in itself for one thanked to her personality and recklessness. And on the other hand it is really hard to duprise Senritsu, as she usually gets a very fair warnng beforehand throug her keen eyes, so most things do not scare her as she easily always knows more than othe rpeople about a situation. Senritsu also might be reckless on her own, but she is also a deeply caring person, so when someone is faster at announcing their reckless plans she will quickly step up and put her foot down to keep the other person from doing the reckless action to protect them and also correct her own behaviour to not lead the other person on. However if she is on her own and with noone to look after, Senritsu very much is a Hunter through and through with the survival-instinct of a Lemming.
Contact the spirit of someone they once knew+Use a Ouija board: Senritsu does not believe in an afterlife. She knows that when someone dies there sometimes is left behind parts of their aura. However, that aura is not sentient and only goes after the strongest emotion they had at the time of the owners death. Accordingly what is left behind is never "That Person" the aura belonged to. It is a wish and a feeling that is left behind but never "That person". So Post-mortem-Nen is not a Ghost but an abstract echo without own thoughts or motives. Therefor Senritsu would never try to contact spirits or use a Ouija board because she simply thinks that something like ghosts does not exists.

MY REFLECTION WHAT I LEARN IN EMPOWERMENT TECHNOLOGY
Empowerment technology is a great idea for students like me, to learn better, understand better and to socialize. Using technology is very convenient and it is easy to use and you get faster information, it is very applicable in education. As a student, I learn better by using technology and empowerment technology is teaching us the way of using technology it gives us information how to be more responsible of using it for good intention and that is by education. I learn so much about empowerment technology it helps us to know more about ICT or Information Communication Technology. I learn about the WWW or World Wide Web, internet, static and dynamic web pages, key features, semantic web, several problems about 3.0, mobile technologies, trends in ICT, mobile OS, how to be safe online, six types of social media, internet threats and many more are the lessons that we tackled and learb about. And these lessons help me, the new generation or the millennials to be responsible enough to use technology in means of education.

Empowerment technology is one of my subject in third trimester. And for the three months of Class Lectures, Projects, Assignments and Performance task, i have learned a lot. more than what I needed. I’am a person who is not techie, yes, I may love to surf the internet that much but that’s all. Doing computer works like Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Excel is not my thing and I hate doing it also. I’m ignorant with its features but then when we had subject, it thought me the things I never knew. I learned also the Key Features of different kinds of web pages. And Empowerment Technology course thought me how to handle the internet with safety and security. It has also taught me the different online platforms tools for Information, Communicaton and Technology Content Development. I also can say that this subject was useful and very helpful because today’s modern world, we shall know how to be within the trend. And right now, technology has a really fast pacing. Whenever, there’s one gadget coming out, different inventions also of gadgets will follow. I’ve also learned a lot in different malwares, adwares and phishing–It made me aware what are the things that could possibly harm my personal gadgets or computer. I can relate Empowerment technology to my life by saying that for example, In the Personal Computer we can download everything that but its just that there is something that we should always be careful of: the Virus. It may cause a greater harm than we ever thought, and Just like in life, when we ask too much, when we download what we want; saying that we didn’t intended to do so, or assuming that we didn’t think of its possibilities and impossibilities, its causes and effects to us, we end up being greedy that it causes harm in our very own selves. I have come to understand that Empowerment Technology made my learning skills more in trend and explore and discover in a looks of a valuable and interesting. Empowerment Technology allowed me to a finer interactivity in order to cope up with the experience of learning based on what I needed. Instead of using the “old way” of learning like writing all the articles in hand-written, we had it using WordPress and it made me, as student, to utilize the material we had-which is laptop- to make it easier. The thought also of Empowerment Technology made my life easy as in this course, we have been educated to do research and so with the help of Internet-as of one of our lectures- it is a powerful tool for it became as way of us, the students to have a active learning and provides opportunities for authentic learning experience.
And so, I thank my subject Mr. Erica Decapia for giving me the things i need to learn throughout this subject that she made me less ignorant with the technology. Five hundred words are more than enough to describe how thankful I am that we had this subject this trimester for us to help to be with one in the trend.

As technology advances, our leisure time is increasing this statement make a rather unreal assumption. It is in our nature to invent, improve, innovate and think of a better ways in order to make solutions in every problems that we might encounter in our daily lives. Nowadays, technology controls everything even ourselves and the things we use to do, everything is changing and technology changes us all. The development of technology will continue to expand rapidly.

Empowerment is the process of becoming stronger, more confident and in control of what might happen while technology deals with the creation and use of technical means and their interrelation with life and society. Empowerment technology help us strengthens our scientific knowledge in order for us to learn how to apply different technology-related information at certain things in our lives. The extent of ICT integrated in the teaching learning process in Senior High School have a positive impact in every student like us especially were taking ABM strand. In our Empowerment Technology subject our activities are to be done through the use of social media, this blog that we create using WordPress is one of these example. For us, it paves the way for self- discovery.

Five Things to Know Before You Buy a New Router
Buying a router exposes you to a lot of jargon. We're here to help break it all down.
With equipment fees often adding on hundreds of dollars a year, buying your own router is one of the best ways to save money on your internet bill. But shopping for a router can get confusing in a hurry.
What does all of the jargon mean? How fast is fast enough? Is it worth it to spend extra for a multipoint mesh router, or for one that supports the newest version of Wi-Fi, called Wi-Fi 7? And what about Wi-Fi 6E routers that add in access to the ultrawide 6GHz band?
Don't feel overwhelmed. There are certainly lots of specs and technical nuances that go with wireless networking, but if you're just looking for a reliable router that you don't need to think about too much, picking a good one isn't as challenging as you might be expecting. Our full router buying guide has a wealth of helpful info, but for now, here are five key basics to keep in mind before you zero in on a purchase. You can also use CNET's free shopping extension to help you find the best price available.
You might not need a new router at all Before spending any money, it's a good idea to make certain that you're getting the most out of the router you've already got. Wi-Fi is finicky, and it doesn't take much to disrupt those wireless signals, so if your connection seems slower than you need, it might not be your router's fault.
There are lots of things you can do to help a router perform its best, but the main points of note are that you want it out in the open and up off of the floor. Stashing it away in a closet or on the back of a dusty shelf beneath your TV might help keep the wires at bay, but you'll also end up blocking the Wi-Fi's signal strength. In that case, swapping a new router into the same spot might not help you much at all.
Along with physical obstructions like furniture, keep an eye out for large electronics like appliances and televisions, as those might interfere with the connection from a nearby router, too. Wi-Fi struggles to penetrate through water, so if you've got any large aquariums at home, consider positioning the router somewhere where they won't block the signal.
For minor tweaks to your signal, try experimenting with the angles of your router's antennas -- straight up and down is best for horizontal coverage in a single-story home, but folding the antenna flat or at an angle might help you direct the signal up or down to help cover a basement or an upper floor. And if you just need an extra room's worth of range or so from your router, you might be able to get the speed you need by buying a Wi-Fi range extender, which will cost you a lot less than buying a new router outright.
Lastly, it's probably worth it to check with your internet provider to make sure you're using its latest hardware. In a lot of cases, if it has a newer modem or gateway device available, it'll send it to you for free. And hey, speaking of your ISP…
Your ISP sets the speed limit Keep in mind that it doesn't matter how fast your router is -- if you're pulling data from the web, then you'll only be able to do so as fast as the plan from your internet service provider allows. If you're paying for download speeds of, say, 100Mbps, then that's as fast as your router will go when you're browsing the web or streaming video. Period.
That's a significant limitation these days. In our own top speed tests, we're seeing a growing number of routers that can comfortably hit speeds of 1 gigabit per second or faster -- but with the average fixed broadband speed in the US currently sitting at just over 250Mbps (or less, if your ISP throttles your connection), few of us can hope to surf the web as fast as that anytime soon.
That isn't to say that fast routers aren't worthwhile. For instance, you'll still be able to hit those top speeds during local transfers -- when you're using the router to pull files from one computer to another on your local network. Your ISP speeds don't matter at all for transfers like that, because you're not sending or receiving data beyond your local home network.
Beyond that, upgrading to a faster, more powerful router can help you get the most out of your home's internet connection, especially when you're connecting at range. To that end, be sure to keep an eye on our latest reviews as you shop around to get a good sense of the specific routers that might be the best fit for your home. We're constantly testing new models and updating our best lists with new test data.
Speed ratings are basically bull I've written about this before, but it bears repeating: The speed ratings you'll see on the packaging and as you scroll through router listings while shopping online are close to meaningless.
I'm talking about figures like "AC1200" and "AX6000." The letters there tell you what version of Wi-Fi the router supports -- "AC" for Wi-Fi 5, or 802.11ac and "AX" for Wi-Fi 6, also known as 802.11ax. The numbers give you a rough sense of the combined top download speeds of each of the router's bands -- typically 2.4 and 5GHz, and perhaps a second 5GHz band if we're talking about a triband router, or 6GHz with Wi-Fi 6E routers.
The problem is that you can only connect to one of those bands at a time. When you add their top speeds together, the result is a highly inflated figure that doesn't represent the speeds you'll actually experience. If it's a triband mesh router that uses that third band as a dedicated connection between the router and its extenders, then that band's speeds don't directly apply to your device connections at all.
To make matters worse, those top speeds on the box are actually theoretical maximums derived from lab-based manufacturer tests that don't take real-world factors like distance, physical obstructions, interference or network congestion into account. Even at close range, your actual connection will be a lot slower.
None of that stops manufacturers from using those speed ratings to describe how fast their products are. For instance, that hypothetical AX6000 router might claim to support speeds of up to 6,000 megabits per second -- which is nonsense. A router is only as fast as its fastest band. Don't be fooled.
Wi-Fi 7 is here, but Wi-Fi 6 is still fine for most people
Wi-Fi 7 is the newest, fastest version of Wi-Fi, but it's overkill for most people at this point. Wi-Fi 7 routers like Amazon's Eero Max 7 ($600) and the Asus RT-BE96U ($660) have started rolling out over the past year, but they're still far too expensive for me to recommend to most people.
Like Wi-Fi 6E routers, Wi-Fi 7 taps into exclusive bandwidth in the 6GHz band recently opened up for unlicensed use thanks to the Federal Communications Commission. Wi-Fi 7 doubles the channel size of the 6GHz band used by Wi-Fi 6E, going from 160MHz to 320MHz -- kind of like a highway going for two to four lanes. A Wi-Fi 7 laptop could reach a “potential maximum” speeds of 5.8Gbps, which is far more than most internet providers even offer.
For now, Wi-Fi 6 routers are still the better choice for all but the most connected homes. Wi-Fi 6 is pretty well-entrenched at this point, and any phones, laptops and and even peripheral devices like gaming consoles and media streamers released over the past few years are taking advantage of it. If you want devices like those to put Wi-Fi 6 to work in your home, then you'll need a Wi-Fi 6 router running your network.
The good news is that you've got lots of Wi-Fi 6 routers to pick from at this point, including lots that probably cost a lot less than you think. Wi-Fi 6 is backward-compatible, mind you, so a new Wi-Fi 6 router still work with your existing, older-gen Wi-Fi devices. It just won't do as much to speed them up, because those older devices don't support the new features that make Wi-Fi 6 faster than before.
Wi-Fi 6E could still prove to be a difference maker in the world of wireless connections, particularly in large, dense environments where lots of people are trying to connect (think airports, malls and stadiums). Still, it's more of an enterprise upgrade than a mainstream feature at this point, so there's no need to rush out and upgrade your home network.
Don't forget about coverage
We tend to fixate on speeds when we talk about routers, but the truth is that there are really only two Wi-Fi speeds that matter in most cases: "fast enough," and "not fast enough." After all, having a blazing fast connection in the same room as the router is great, but it means little if you can't get a strong signal when you're trying to stream a late-night Netflix binge in your bedroom on the other side of the house. That's especially true these days, with lots of people still staying home and depending on their home networks more than ever before.
That's why, for most people, the most meaningful move you can make for that home network is to upgrade from a stand-alone, single-point router to an expandable mesh system that uses multiple devices to better spread a reliably speedy signal throughout your house. Mesh systems like those typically won't hit top speeds that are quite as high as a single-point router, but they make up for it by delivering Wi-Fi that's "fast enough" to all corners of your home.
Over the past several years, upgrading to mesh was an expensive proposition, with most options costing at least $300 or even $500. Then the pandemic hit, and mesh routers soared in popularity -- which, in turn, led manufacturers to start cranking out lots of new options, many of which cost significantly less than before.
Keeping up to date with these systems is one of my top priorities on the Wi-Fi beat, so keep an eye on my running list of the best mesh systems I've tested for my latest recommendations.

'In Which Pixal Accompanies Cryptor on a Train Ride'
"Leaving again?" Zane's voice stopped her at the kitchen doorway.
"Yes, I am needed at the train station." She nodded.
"May I come?" He asked, as he did every time.
"No."
"Oh, can I go along?" Cole poked his head of out his bedroom, which ao happened to be adjacent to the kitchen.
Pixal stared at him, "Cryptor is there."
He made a face, "maybe another time then."
--
She met him at the station gate, his gaze for once to the floor instead of through her. "I recieved the message from Cyrus, do you need my assistance?"
"No," Cry sneered, "I don't need anything from you."
She huffed, "very well. I will be going now," and turned heel back down the steps.
"Wait, I don't mean-" he growled and sucked in, fighting himself. "Pixal, I want to talk to you."
She paused and cocked an eyebrow, "you have my relay number, do you not?"
He trudged down the steps to meet her, "I do. What I'm trying to say, is that- is- ugh, fine. We should," he shuddered, "would you *please* visit regularly?"
Well that's certainly progress of some kind, even if it sounded like he was going to throw up. She fought back the urge to respond sarcastically, "you want me to go to Limon for you?"
"Yes," he mumbled, "I would... appreciate it."
Another new word to his vocabularly as well it seemed. She cupped her ear and ran through her dozens of schedules before surfing the web for the NTC website. With a blink, her optics returned to normal. "Okay, lets go."
"Wait, you need a ticket-!" He jogged after her back up and through the building.
"I just bought one. We don't have much time to board, please pick up the pace."
--
It was always faster on the mech, always. And yet she found the strengrh in herself to not loose patience. The two talked some before Cryptor settled down for a nap, leaving her to her own unoccupied devices.
She hated having nothing to do.
The least she could do was update Zane.
[I am on a train with Cry. We are going to Limon.]
[Is it an emergency?]
She hesitated, [Yes.]
[Okay <3 I will have Nya make sure your suit is on standby.]
"Great, wasting battery..." she muttered. What to do? Her eyes went to the placards before roaming the cabin. It was about halfway to capacity with enough seats for the attendents to play poker in the front. It looked like no one was winning, at least not yet.
She wondered if Cryptor was any good at it. She was sure she'd find out soon enough.

4.Uncertainty
Explanation: There’s no guaranteed outcome with SEO. Despite best practices and efforts, there’s always some level of uncertainty about how your site will rank and perform, making it a less predictable marketing strategy
5.Intense Competition
Explanation: Popular keywords can be highly competitive, making it difficult to achieve and maintain top rankings. This competition can require significant effort and resources to overcome.
6. Can be Costly
Explanation: While organic traffic is free, achieving and maintaining SEO requires investment in tools, personnel, and time, which can be costly for businesses, especially small ones.
7. Requires Technical Knowledge
Explanation: Effective SEO often requires a good understanding of web development and technical SEO practices. This technical barrier can be challenging for those without the necessary skills or resources.
8.Link-Building Challenges
Explanation: Building a strong backlink profile is essential for SEO but can be difficult and time-consuming. Additionally, poor-quality links can negatively affect your rankings, making link-building a delicate process.
9. Content Quality and Quantity

Android TV Box: Everything You Need to Know Before Buying
Android TV Box: Everything You Need to Know Before Buying
In the age of streaming, an Android TV box is becoming a must-have gadget for homes worldwide. If you're tired of limited content on your regular TV or looking to upgrade your viewing experience, an Android TV box might be just what you need. Whether you're a binge-watcher, gamer, or just someone who enjoys smart tech, this device can open up a whole new world of entertainment. In this article, we’ll break down what an Android TV box is, how it works, its features, advantages, and tips for buying the right one.
What Is an Android TV Box?
An Android TV box is a small set-top device that connects to your television and runs the Android operating system, similar to what’s on your smartphone. Once connected via HDMI, it transforms any standard TV into a smart TV. With it, you can stream movies, download apps, play games, surf the web, and even mirror your mobile screen onto the television.
Think of it as a mini computer or media hub designed specifically for the big screen. Unlike proprietary platforms like Roku or Apple TV, Android TV boxes offer more customization, app variety, and flexibility.
How Does an Android TV Box Work?
An Android TV box works by connecting to your TV through HDMI and to the internet via Wi-Fi or Ethernet. Once powered up, it boots into the Android TV interface where you can access the Google Play Store. From there, you can download apps like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, YouTube, Spotify, Kodi, and thousands more.
You control the box using a remote, but many also support Bluetooth keyboards, air mice, or voice commands via Google Assistant. Some models even come with Chromecast built-in, allowing you to cast content directly from your mobile device.
Key Features of Android TV Boxes
When choosing an Android TV box, look for the following features:
1. Operating System
Ensure the device runs a recent Android version (Android 10 or newer is preferable) to ensure compatibility with the latest apps and security patches.
2. Processor and RAM
A faster processor and more RAM mean smoother performance. Look for at least a quad-core CPU and 2GB RAM for basic usage. If you're into gaming or 4K streaming, go for 4GB RAM and a high-performance GPU.
3. Internal Storage
Most Android TV boxes come with 8GB to 64GB of internal storage. Choose a model that allows expandable storage via microSD or USB for larger apps or media libraries.
4. Video Quality Support
If you have a 4K TV, ensure your box supports 4K Ultra HD playback. Features like HDR, Dolby Vision, and H.265 decoding can enhance the visual experience.
5. Connectivity
Look for boxes that support dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth, and Ethernet for reliable streaming and pairing with peripherals.
6. Voice Control
Google Assistant integration or voice-enabled remotes can make navigation much easier.
7. App Compatibility
A good Android TV box should support major streaming apps like Netflix, Hulu, and Disney+, as well as APK files for sideloading lesser-known apps.
Benefits of Using an Android TV Box
1. Unlimited Entertainment
Access thousands of apps, including streaming services, music platforms, and games. Whether it’s live sports, TV shows, or international content, it’s all at your fingertips.
2. Customization
Unlike Apple TV or Amazon Fire Stick, Android TV boxes allow you to fully customize your experience. Install custom launchers, sideload apps, or even root the device (if you know what you're doing).
3. Gaming
Many boxes support casual Android games. With the addition of a Bluetooth game controller, your Android TV box doubles as a budget gaming console.
4. Portable and Compact
Android TV boxes are small enough to carry around. Ideal for travelers who want smart features on any hotel TV.
5. Cost-Effective
Compared to smart TVs, Android TV boxes are affordable. You can turn a regular TV into a feature-packed smart TV without breaking the bank.
6. Voice and Smart Home Integration
With Google Assistant, control your smart home devices, get weather updates, or play content using simple voice commands.
Best Use Cases for an Android TV Box
Cord Cutters: Ditch cable and stream your favorite content via OTT apps.
Expats and Travelers: Access international content and IPTV services from your home country.
Elderly or Kids: Simple interface, parental control apps, and voice search make it user-friendly for all ages.
Home Theater Setup: Combine your Android TV box with a soundbar and projector for a true cinematic experience.
Top Android TV Box Brands in 2025
Here are some popular Android TV boxes available in the market:
NVIDIA Shield TV Pro – Best for performance and gaming.
Xiaomi Mi Box S – Great budget pick with 4K support.
T95 Android TV Box – Affordable and versatile.
Amazon Fire TV Cube – Alexa-powered, Android-based hybrid.
MINIX NEO U9-H – For users looking for advanced customization.
How to Choose the Right Android TV Box?
Here are some tips when buying:
Check Software Updates: Some cheap boxes don’t get updates, which limits app compatibility.
Certifications Matter: For HD streaming on Netflix or Amazon Prime, the box must be Widevine L1 certified.
Avoid No-Name Brands: Stick to trusted brands with good customer support.
Read Reviews: User reviews on Amazon or tech forums can reveal real-world performance insights.
Warranty & Support: Prefer boxes that come with a warranty and responsive customer service.
Potential Drawbacks to Be Aware Of
While Android TV boxes are incredibly powerful, they’re not perfect:
Some apps may not be optimized for the TV interface.
Pirated content apps (like Kodi add-ons) can be illegal or unsafe.
Inexpensive models may suffer from lag or poor Wi-Fi performance.
Regular maintenance like clearing cache or updating firmware may be required.
Conclusion
An Android TV box is one of the most versatile, affordable, and powerful ways to upgrade your home entertainment system. Whether you want to stream in 4K, play games, browse the web, or just explore global content, this small device packs a big punch. Just make sure to choose a reliable model that fits your needs and budget. With the right setup, your Android TV box will transform the way you watch and interact with your television.
