PARAMETERS:

I only write for characters who are women. No men here. Sorry, folks.

I only write x reader. I don't really enjoy writing about already-existing relationships or character ships. I've done a couple of x daughter!reader and x sibling!reader fics, and I'm happy to do them, but to be honest I very much prefer romantic fics.

I only write for readers and characters with v*lvas. I absolutely welcome non-binary/gender non-conforming characters/readers. Just be aware that, where smut is concerned, I only feel confident writing about humans with v*ginas.

I don't feel comfortable writing dark!characters or smut that's degrading. Kinks and other smut-related requests I take on a case-by-case basis. But I absolutely will not write anything that even gets close to the line of non-consensual. No shade to you if the above are things you enjoy reading/writing, they're just personally not for me.

Autistic readers are so welcome! I love reading and writing x autistic!reader fics!

I do feel comfortable writing about the aftermath of trauma (sexual or otherwise), most mental illnesses, etc. I enjoy a good hurt/comfort fic and, as someone who's dealt with both of the above, I know it can be very comforting to read something that makes you feel like you're cared for and safe.

I also really enjoy writing headcanons, so feel free to request those as well! The same rules apply for headcanons that apply for fics.

Welcome to my first writing special!

This year will be my first full season watching F1 (and writing) and therefore I wanted to start a small special event. In the next two weeks you may request anything from the prompts below as well as any kind of headcanons.

This is also as a small thank you to everyone who’s been with me so far! In a bit under a month I meet some amazing people, made friends and joined a new community. I’m so grateful for everything and could’ve never imagined that I’d come this far.

I haven't written in a while, but I decided to pull out a wip that I was really looking forward to and write for fun and lo and behold it worked. Some non-binary!Alex for all the feelings. It's more than seven sentences but let's pretend we do not see

4. Do you write original stories as well?

2024 is the year of the original novel, baby! I may have done more, like, setting up a website/Substack/Airtable writing tracker/etc than actual writing at the moment, but in my defence I'm still wrapping up my freelancing obligations this month lmao

6. What is a fandom you will never write for?

You know, it's hard to say 'never' because... I never know what's going to grip me. I never would have predicted that I'd write a fic for the TV adaption of The Last of Us, or that I'd walk out of the theatre after going to see a queer Christmas movie and rage-write an alternate ending in three hours.

So I'll take a slightly different approach to this question and instead say a fandom I'll never write for again, and that's HP. I respect the hell out of the authors who have gone full death of the author about it and reclaimed the world they love to make it better, I really fucking do. But I pulled my HP fics down from AO3 when I realised that seeing the author's name on my fandoms list, on my profile, was just... really fucking with my little trans non binary head.

9. What are your favorite fanfics?

This question is cruel. CRUEL. I have never picked a favourite anything in my life. Here's a few things I'm vibing with RIGHT NOW, but the answer may change in a month or a week or an hour lol.

Going Platinum by @cricketnationrise - always, but especially now as cricket works through the sequel. I feel very taken care of by this fic and have reread it a truly embarrassing number of times.

I really hope I can get him alone by @clottedcreamfudge - the Henry POV of Kinda think that I might be his type aka Alex and Bea fake date. I am just. iu4oqhurfriehngfuqernugoenuogre.

In His Wildest Dreams by @myheartalivewrites - I bang on about Oxford Days by this author a lot (and for good reason) but FUCK this one is beautiful. I am forever a sucker for the psychology of kink.

Noble Blood by @orchidscript - currently a WIP, somewhat based on The King's Assassin by Benjamin Wooley which is the book Mary & George is based on. And like... here's the thing. I picked up pretty quickly coming into this fandom that The Thing Orchid Is Known For is researching the absolute living fuck out of her fics, and like... I respect it, but I also didn't really think about it much, because while deep-dive knowledge is fun, as long as something's plausible enough that it doesn't pull me out of the story I'm along for the ride, you know? But this fic. THIS FIC is based in a time period I am very familiar with (my focus was always Tudor England, but you don't study that time period without picking up a lot of knowledge of the decades either side of it) and like... I get it now. Reading a historical fic where you know so much about the time period, and seeing all these tiny little details sprinkled throughout that, like, aren't actually required for the plot but are just weaving the tapestry of the world... fuck me, it's an entire different experience.

19. Dead or overused tropes?

I am an extremely firm believer that there is in fact no such thing. People are forever coming up with new twists on tropes, and even fics that play tropes totally straight are infused with the author's voice or experience or whatever. If I didn't want to enjoy the comfort of the familiar, I would probably not be engaging with fic in the first place 🤣

May I ask how did you get your beetlejuice?

Like did you just acumulate headcanons and got him or did you like sit down and tought of things you'd like to add.

Poor guy has like 75 different mental illnesses and counting I love him so much

So it’s sort of a combination of both of those. I thought up the fic idea, then sat down and watched clips of Alex Brightman’s performance (and a few of the others musical BJ actors of course) to try to really get a good handle on the character. I’ve always headcanoned Beetlejuice as autistic because. Look at him. And non-binary because demons probably have a different grasp on gender than us! His mood ring hair color has been charted out since the start, of course. While plotting out the fic in its entirety, including through part 3, I really pondered why he’s Like That. I ended up putting a lot of my personal experiences (coughtraumacough) into him, since I obviously know how to write from the perspective of someone with those experiences, and I really wanted him to feel as real of a (not) person as possible.

I had to figure out demon lore right away, of course, and how that impacted Beetlejuice, because I love LOVE world building/species creation. And I wanted to have there be more to his past, since he’s thousands of years old and probably has a lot of Lore, so I plotted out characters and experiences from his past and made sure to reference them when considering how he reacts and speaks!

The rest really came to me as a wrote, like his horns and legs when I wanted to make sure he was very obviously not human at his core, and to help create a cool thematic through-line of sheep/lambs and wolves and such. Some things were added for jokes, some things were thought up too late to add in, and will probably be added in the post-mortem rewrite!

How Two Become Three - Chapter 1 - nikonic - Criminal Minds (US TV) [Archive of Our Own]

Fandom: Criminal Minds Ship: Jemily/Reader (poly) Why I rec it: This is the first work in a LONG series (like, really long. Don't know how the author does it). The series varies a lot from angst, to smut, to fluff. I think this author does a really good job portraying and talking about triggering topics. And I absolutely love the consent and kink conversations throughout the stories. I recommend subscribing to the series or the author to get updates, since it's still being updated regularly.

Love Comes Quietly - Chapter 1 - Kattwyllie - Criminal Minds (US TV) [Archive of Our Own]

Fandom: Criminal Minds Ship: Alex Blake/Reader Why I rec it: This is a very sweet roommates turned lovers. I like the writing, and I love the pacing of this fic.

Fandom: Resident Evil Village Ship: Alcina Dimitrescu/Reader (at some point reader becomes an original character) Why I rec it: The smut is 10/10, but the development of the relationship both between Sasha and Alcina; but also Sasha and the daughters is one of the cutest things I've read. I think this is one of my favorite fanfics of all time. It's long, it's got a good amount of angst; a good amount of fluff and the smut is sensational.

Fandom: Once Upon a Time Ship: Rumpelstiltskin/Belle Why I rec it: This is a heavy-BDSM story. It's been a while since I've read it, to be honest with you. But I remember liking it a lot. And yes, this is probably the only fic with a f/m ship. I'm really not a fan of straight ships, I don't read fanfiction of them cause we usually have a lot of canon stuff. But rumbelle had some of the most amazing writers in a fandom, and to be honest, I'm sure there will be more fics of this ship in later editions of fic mondays.
